First They Jailed The Bankers, Now Every Icelander To Get Paid Back In Bank Sale

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Claire Bernish via TheAntiMedia.org,

First, Iceland jailed its crooked bankers for their direct involvement in the financial crisis of 2008. Now, every Icelander will receive a payout for the sale of one of its three largest banks, Íslandsbanki.

If Finance Minister Bjarni Benediktsson has his way — and he likely will — Icelanders will be paid kr 30,000 after the government takes over ownership of the bank. Íslandsbanki would be second of the three largest banks under State proprietorship.

“I am saying that the government take [sic] some decided portion, 5%, and simply hand it over to the people of this country,” he stated.

Because Icelanders took control of their government, they effectively own the banks. Benediktsson believes this will bring foreign capital into the country and ultimately fuel the economy — which, incidentally, remains the only European nation to recover fully from the 2008 crisis. Iceland even managed to pay its outstanding debt to the IMF in full — in advance of the due date.

Guðlaugur Þór Þórðarson, Budget Committee vice chairperson, explained the move would facilitate the lifting of capital controls, though he wasn’t convinced State ownership would be the ideal solution. Former Finance Minister Steingrímur J. Sigfússon sided with Þórðarson, telling a radio show, “we shouldn’t lose the banks to the hands of fools” and that Iceland would benefit from a shift in focus to separate “commercial banking from investment banking.”

Plans haven’t yet been firmly set for when the takeover and subsequent payments to every person in the country will occur, but Iceland’s revolutionary approach to dealing with the international financial meltdown of 2008 certainly deserves every bit of the attention it’s garnered.

Iceland recently jailed its 26th banker — with 74 years of prison time amongst them — for causing the financial chaos. Meanwhile, U.S. banking criminals were rewarded for their fraud and market manipulation with an enormous bailout at the taxpayer’s expense.

Good for them!

But their solution is not new.

It is the solution we used until we gave the bankers control of the national assets, which they promptly used to back the creation of the Currency they now use to control and subjugate us.

Take back our collateral.

Let their banks collapse.

Then hang them.

Iceland is part of a long term experiment. If Iceland does better than another presently unknown selected opposite, then that is the way people will swing. If the unknown opposite does better, then you can bet bankers will be allowed to press whatever buttons take their fancy.

Some history:

Icleandic people revolted in a pots and pans revolution:

http://guardianlv.com/2013/12/icelanders-overthrow-government-and-rewrit...

The new government was giving marching orders by popular will of its people.

A single homogenous ethnic population, not riven by divisions, can act in its own best interests.

It seems Iceland will be the last redoubt for consensual white civilization.

As an aside, separating investment banking from commercial banking a la Glass Steagall, is a good idea if one is going to keep private debt spreading banking as the monetative means.

Possible Icelandic future?

Why not go Full Monty?   Take full control of money power by making it fully lawful, rather than private bank credit.  Iceland is already mulling over the idea of Sovereign Money...go ahead take the leap.

By owning its own money power, Iceland will better withstand future attacks, especially as Iceland becomes an "unwanted " population isolate.

Another tactic to survive in future, especially for highly consensual Aryan Nordic type people, is to use contract law.  For example, sign contracts agreeing to X behaviors (say no Muslims  or Jews allowed residency in Country) in exchange for Sovereign money injections received for education, medical, etc.  Meeting signed obligations is a higher evolutionary behavior than altruism.

Pathological Altruism is to see everybody the same as your are...to extend the idea of yourself outward. Some other races do not extend themselves this way, and see others as "other." The contract will help counter negative effects of this altruism.

To add emphasis to the point, Post Ice Age Nordics especially have pathological altruism, and this altruism can be countered with sovereign money systems and contract law; turn altruism to its advantage rather than a weakness to be exploited by psychopathic "internationalists."

Otherwise, the Nordic evolutionary experiment will likely become a dead end, as those genes will not be expressed amongst future humanity.

Did Iceland jail any of the politicians and government regulators?  This debacle didn't occur in a vacuum.  Government politicians and regulators around the world watched and promoted the whole thing with their policies.  Its not like regulators aren't in these financial institutions on a scheduled basis looking closely at what's going on.

Everybody drank the Kool-aid - except those evil 'doomsayers.'

Don't forget, their president was going to sign everything away to the banksters too.  Until that is the people surrounded his house with torches theatening to burn him and his family alive:

"On Tuesday, however, President Grimsson announced he had refused to sign a law to enable the repayment. It has cast his country into what seems to be a full-blown constitutional crisis, since both the nation's parliament and the rest of its government had already approved the repayment plan."

Out of curiousity - does Iceland have a disproportionately wealthy and media-owning Judaic community in their midst?

Even Ireland managed to have Alan Shatter, who immediately set out to open the borders wide, and spent an inordinate amount of time discussing Israel.

And tiny scotland had 45,000 Jewish groups expressing 'concern' about Scottish independence - because nevermind Scottish history or culture, all that matters for them is 'is it good for the Jews'.

Is Iceland too small for the Red Shield et al. To establish a disproportionate media, financial, and political power?

Oh, and before you cry and shit your pants at the question - please name all the countries in Europe WHERE THE SITUATION DESCRIBED DOES *not* APPLY.

I love that part "...because Icelander's took control of their government..." - I'm thinking 'what the fuck'? Boy that just says it all. Too bad we don't have a hope in hell of ever "taking over" the beast that our government has become. "to serve the people" - what a crock. To serve the PTB - which seem intent to collapse our economy with the end result being? Making us all powerless slaves to a small cadre of barons and lords again apparently. The dumb fuck liberals have their heads shoved so far up their arse's they don't know that instead of being 'concerned about the welfare of the sheeple' they are in fact playing right into the hands of the group that would install themselves as the new kings. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A Monetary Reformer’s Brief Symbol Glossary

"The following is a compilation of several views of the monetary reform symbolism used by L. Frank Baum in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Interpretations vary, particularly on the lesser figures, but this will give the readers good reference points to begin their consideration of the matter. Was the symbolism consciously or subconsciously employed? We cannot know with certainty, nor does it really matter. What matters is that Baum understood the issues involved and employed them in Oz. Millions of Americans have seen Oz, generally several times. Knowingly or not, Oz has given us a key to understanding the solutions to the economic issues we face in our time if we could only accept that we have had the power to regain our bank-mortgaged homes all along, just as Dorothy did. Remember: “There’s no place like home.”

Dorothy – everyman and woman, a simple, Populist character from the heartland of American Populism, Kansas.

Scarecrow – farmers, agricultural workers, ignorant of many city things but honest and able to understand things with a little education. A strong supporter of Dorothy (Populism).
Tin Man – industrial workers; a woodchopper whose entire body has been replaced with metal parts, thus dehumanized by machinery (robot-like with no heart) in need of oil (liquidity/money) to work, otherwise unemployed (he was idle for a year) without oil.

Cowardly Lion – Wm. Jenning Bryan, a famous politician and Populist Presidential candidate in 1896 and 1900 (Oz was written in 1900) for monetary reform and a terrific orator (i.e., roar). Bryan was attacked as being somewhat cowardly for not supporting the US war with Spain. As a Populist Presidential candidate he sought to go to the capitol city – the Emerald city. Bryan’s famous “Cross of Gold” speech is posted below.

rubyRuby Slippers – these are silver in the book. Hollywood changed them to ruby red to take advantage of the new Technicolor used in the movie version, evidently ignorant of the meaning of the silver..."

They should try that in Canada with our banks.  Up until 1970 our banks had little to do with creating currency out of thin air.  This was the responsibility of the government to create and the banks were lent this money and interest was paid to the citizens of Canada.

Now the banks have been given this responsibility to create money and we now have runaway debt and anyone that has a loan including the government with these banks essentially pays a tax to the banking system for money that never existed in the first place'

This can easily be corrected.  The government should enact legislation to inform the banks that the people of Canada will now be forgiven the debt and the government will cancel all debt to the government of Canada with a stroke of a pen.

The people essentially of the world should realize this debt to the banks is a tax owing to the banks for money that esentialy never existed in the first place.

Revolutions of years ago were started over stuff like this.

MP Paul Martin was instrumental for turning over this responsibilty to the banks.  He was questioned not so long ago about how the banking system works.  He stumbled and stammered and had no idea how the banking system works.  He's a true asshole that passes legislation but has no idea why he is doing so.

What happened in Iceland is a wonderful event. It happened mainly because of it's population is very homogenized and small. Their collective views on a wide range of topics would have a very low standard deviation for example.

Nationalism.

A country with a high influx of immigrants, would have a high Std Dev, no consensus on anything and those types of events become harder to do.

Why do you think globalist encourage diaspora, and migration. A decrease in the agreement of "who we are."
