What's going on is pretty simple to deduce... The Dems are rat-fucking the GOP through the use of the MSM, to make all GOP candidates look like fools on the public stage... A three GOP debates have ended the same way, with the public going WTF... Seems to be working pretty well so far and I can almost envision Hillary rubbing her greedy little paws together with glee...

The Republicans have given themselves over to the more-war-and-police-state faction to such an extent that the Democrats will tolerate a war-and-police-state candidate just to prevent an extreme-war-and-police-state candidate from winning.

Thank God the Dems have Sparklefarts to keep the peace. Wasn't Vietnam first filled with "advisors"?  I was just a kid when they sent "advisers" over to help. By the time I got out of high school, I got shipped off to a God forsaken hellhole. Imagine my shock to find out LBJ was a Republican!

I guess Obama's and Hillary's dirty little wars in Libya and Syria are just to keep the right wing happy. But I still need to look at Hillary's donor list, cuz I think the grandkid is gonna get the same "free trip" to see the world, and try and kill everyone he sees. Group tour!

That tells me that the Dems are more easily bought off and blackmailed than the GOP. Not that they are less evil or less in league with the banksters.

“I am the source for this quote, which was indeed said by CIA Director William Casey at an early February 1981 meeting of the newly elected President Reagan with his new cabinet secretaries to report to him on what they had learned about their agencies in the first couple of weeks of the administration. The meeting was in the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House, not far from the Cabinet Room. I was present at the meeting as Assistant to the chief domestic policy adviser to the President. Casey first told Reagan that he had been astonished to discover that over 80 percent of the ‘intelligence’ that the analysis side of the CIA produced was based on open public sources like newspapers and magazines. As he did to all the other secretaries of their departments and agencies, Reagan asked what he saw as his goal as director for the CIA, to which he replied with this quote, which I recorded in my notes of the meeting as he said it. Shortly thereafter I told Senior White House correspondent Sarah McClendon, who was a close friend and colleague, who in turn made it public.”

Snopes is an MSM disinformation site. For example, here's their take on the vanishing plane that hit the pentagon: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/pentagon.asp TLDR: It was a plane, nothing to see here, complete with quotes from Donald Rumsfield. No mention of the confiscation of 100+ videos; only ONE of which were ever released. In that video, no plane is visible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUNngyhZQrk or a longer version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzFqXbfv_yg

This is just an example, Snopes promotes the MSM narrative for every event.

Your eyes always see your nose. It is constantly within your field of vision, and yet your brain filters it out. You cannot look at your nose without conscious effort.
Even your thoughts are filtered. The brain creates shortcuts, leaps of intuition and cognitive biases to speed up information processing.

"sometimes opinion does match the truth & sometimes perception matches reality."

Yes, sometimes. A lot rarer than most people think. And it does not negate that its still an opinion, and still a perception.

RT is okay. It may be a Kremlin mouthpiece, but it functions for great fact-checking against FOX/CNN/NBC/ABC. Online print, podcast and video are where it's at.

Polling should just be outlawed in elections. All it serves is to show a snapshot of a completely fluid state as proven by so many primary seasons before. It creates a coverage bias where lesser-known candidates can never break through until the ones getting the coverage (due to poll numbers) shoot themselves in the foot.

There should be one guy....with a list of questions...about foreign policy and/or record concerns...he asks all the questions...in a room...alone...with each candidate. No time limit. Videos/Audio placed online. Done. Hell, have the league of woman voters do it like the used to, before the RNC/DNC teamed up to create the circus-debates of today.

That or just urge a military (benevolent) dictatorship to weed out all those guilty of usury, traitorous actions, market manipulation, foreign policy instigation and missteps—put them on trial (I honestly don't care if it's a sham trial), put them in prison (along with their family members), and execute those guilty of the worst, displaying their corpses on the streets of Manhattan and Washington. It may turn out to be worse, but hey, at least it's different!

My take said the polls are not related to public interest.  Have you seen a fall-off in belief that 9/11 was important in recent history? That it was a false flag operation by our own government?

So when do you think the last poll on that question was done?  And what was the trend?

RT is okay at reporting the news, but their opinion shows are still rooted in Socialism, in spreading and perpetuating the feel-good, green, smiling, seductive soft-Socialism that many viewers probably don't even realize is such.

For example, their "Watching the Hawks" one-hour special on gun violence, with its examples of mass shootings and calls for more gun laws and restricted gun ownership, and not once in the hour were SSRIs even mentioned.  In fact, I'm 99% sure that in all the opinions ever stated on RT about mass violence, guns, etc, I've never even heard them refer to SSRIs or medications....yet they'll bash on big pharma and the medication of the American public given every chance.  2 + 2 = 4, unless you never even consider that they should be added together.

polls aren't snapsots of public opinion, they are tools to influence public opinion.

how should I feel about "x"? how does the majority feel about "X"?

polls don't really mean anything because most people don't know anything, except what the government owned media tells them.

Everything in the media has a political agenda. Always remember that if something you hear or read provokes a passionate response from you, it was by design and you are being manipulated.

Laugh it off, then look for the motivations (i.e. follow the money) for why someone wants you to respond that way.  Readers here probably understand that more than most.

Did you miss OWS?  A friend of mine whose son  is an attorney informed me that when he represented an arrested OWC member in California, he was blackballed from a law firm and when asked why, he was informed it was due to his client.  His father told me he signed a form stating he would not represent "demonstrators" and was accepted.

The fact is, this is our fault.  We are the ones responsible for dropping the ball.  19 trillion dollars is not a problem with the politicians...no...they have just approved millions more for Israel and to fight in Syria.  Soldiers have been engaged in combat for 15 years.

This war is covert and the dumbing down and attack on our health is part of it.  An 11 year old patient with a fatty liver (on their road to liver failure in under a decade) is just one example.

Get off your fat ass and stop blaming the young people because  YOU jerked off in front of the mirror for 20 years when you weren't counting your money.

A popular myth created by liberals and their conservative counterparts is that one's opinion trumps everything else. You see it everywhere in America, the spouting of opinions, not a search for truth. People go in search of news that justifies their opinion, not the other way around. Who researches a subject in ordered to form an opinion now a days in America? Nope, the opinion goes in search news to reinforce itself. How many times must I read : "Oh, I don't believe in this or that" Followed by opinion not based on evidence. The enlightenment was a search for truth through means of humans looking for verifiable truths, and truths valid under scientific method. America has long since gone into it's own American form of Dark Age. The rich elites know how to manipulate America, selling a product they call news via their media companies. They are not in the news business, they are in the mind and thought and opinion control business.

Nobody cares to seek knowledge and evidence first, then mould their opinions around that. The already have media planted opinions they run in search of more of the same.

The end of critical thinking has been fostered by Public Education and Corporate media. The two together are able to mind warp American youth to enlist by the hundreds of thousands to go to Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Wherever the rulers manipulate them to go. All I remember from public education was regimentation and manipulation. They made sure we thought the way the elites wanted us to. The results are always the same. Flocks of American sheep, ready to pick a party Democrat or Republican. To pick a service, Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce.

Today's American media has sunk to new lows of open lies, half truths and propaganda. They lie and lie, all in order to manipulate the bottom 90% to support their masters.

And heaven help you if you attempt to correct these sheeple and the opinions they have bought into... I used to work with a guy that was a staunch Obama supporter... Facts would not sway his opinion and any criticism of his hero was met with taunts of racism, ignorance and failure to accept change... As time passed and the number of Obama admin scandals grew, I could see that his attitude was changing... Right up to the point where he could no longer afford health care insurance and his cost of living doubled without a change in life style... The death knell in his support was when he lost his job due to being replaced by an Indian H1B visa holder... He has an MBA, but is now unemployed, no health care, living on unemployment and food stamps... Yeah, hope and change all right... Just not for Americans...

Foghorn Leghorn quotes:

One-liners
  • Nice girl, but about as sharp as a sack of wet mice.
  • He's about as sharp as a bowling ball.
  • Any of this getting through that little old blue bonnet of yours.
  • Course you know this means war.
  • Fortunately I always carry a spare set of feathers.
  • Gal reminds me of the highway between Forth Worth and Dallas - no curves.
  • I say that dog is lower than a snake full of buckshot.
  • Looks like the boy genius is tryin' to show me up.
  • Nice boy but he's got more nerve than a bum tooth.
  • Now let me know when I come to something that interests you.
  • Now looka, I say looka here.
  • Oh, that woman, got a mouth like an outboard motor.
  • Scared - who me - course I'm not squared.
  • Smart boy, got a mind like a steel trap - full of mice.
  • That boy's as strong as an ox, and just about as smart.
  • That dog's as subtle as a hand grenade in a barrrel of oat meal.
  • This boy's more mixed up than a feather in a whirlwind.
  • What in the name of Jesse James do you suppose that is.
  • What in the world's that hen up to now.
  • What's the big idea of bashing me on the noggin with a rolling pin.
  • Who's responsible for this unwarranted attack on my person.
  • You just know I'm gonna do something about this.
  • You know, there just might be a market for bottled duck.

One-liners spoken to “the boy”

  • Boy, you cover about as much as a flapper's skirt in a high wind.
  • You'd like that, wouldn't you boy.
  • Put that egghead book down boy.
  • I say, boy, pay attention when I'm talkin' to ya, boy.
  • Pay attention to me boy! I'm not just talkin' to hear my head roar.
  • That's what I've been - I say, that's what I've been telling you, boy!
  • Go, I say go away boy, you bother me.
  • What's all the whoopin' and hollerin about, boy.
  • Now cut that out boy, or I'll spank you where the feathers are thinnest.
  • Now that's no way for a kid to be wastin his time, readin' that long-haired gobbledegook.

The job of the media is to sell dishwasher detergent, cat treats and the latest iTurds, and telling low-info proles what advertisers (our masters) want them to hear. They have no interest in finding out what's really going on, much less reporting it.

The MSM can only be counted on to print the truth about the crimes people in high places commit after the grown-ups have finally done something about said people in high places---and only then because they need to pretend they were never paid top dollar to cover the bad guys' asses.

The New York Times only started printing the truth about communism after the Berlin Wall came down. Maybe one day they'll come clean about banksterism---the day after Hillary finally faces a firing squad.

Till then, at least we have ZH to help us read between the lines.

Every hourly bulletin is ended with a report on if the FTSE 100 has gone up or down a few points

Everyone is being spoonfed that all that matters is the markets.

The US media doesn't have a monopoly on propaganda.

The real news is that the Republicans sold out and totally suck.  The Democrats sold out years ago and suck.

Regarding the Republicans, Tancredo nails it here....

Who sucks more?

Who the fuck knows.

Ask yourself who has rolled back government in the last 20 years?  Who has championed Freedom?

.......crickets..................

Who wrote and passed The Patriot Act, NDAA, TPP, NAFTA, GATT?

Both fuckig parties.

Y'all suck.

addendum: and then there's this bullshit....

Fer fucks sake.... yea, socialism is so fucking efficient.    Does that shitbag even know WTF capitalism is?  He's had more government hand outs for his company than any other one in the last two centuries.

Oh, re: "climate change"  ignore that big fucking yellow electromagnetic ball in the sky that pops into view every 24 hours.

You see it's heavy, real heavy so it doesn't take much to hold it down. and its a relic of the past and you know relics fall down. In fact your damned lucky to have a paper market for what little exists and every one knows that you don't profit when prices are high, so they keep it low so they can collect it at less cost but not so low as to discourage the mining of it. And because they know Hard Gold is the insurance that pays, time and time again when paper blows away and you need to keep insurance affordable .. yes indeed like the Goldilocks it must be just right.
