Russian Plane Disintegrated Due To "Mechanical Impact" Airline Claims, Hinting At Bomb Explosion
On Sunday, officials confirmed that the Russian passenger jet which crashed in the Sinai Peninsula killing all 224 people on board “broke apart in the air.” Although we cannot of course be sure, that does seem to suggest that the plane exploded.
Obviously, getting to the bottom of what happened to the Airbus A321 as it was flying to St. Petersburg from Egypt has serious geopolitical consequences. As we noted yesterday, if there’s any evidence to corroborate the notion that the aircraft was “destroyed” by IS Sinai, then militants in Egypt will soon find themselves shooting at other Russian jets - only these jets will be shooting back.
On Monday, Kogalymavia (the airline operating the flight) is out insisting that neither pilot error or a problem with the plane itself could possibly have been responsible for the “accident.” The only explanation, according to the airline, is a “mechanical impact on the plane.” Here’s WSJ:
Russia’s Kogalymavia said human and technical factors weren’t responsible for the crash, which killed all 224 people on board.
The Airbus A321 was flying to St. Petersburg, Russia, from the Egyptian resort of Sharm El Sheikh in Sinai, a popular destination for Russian tourists.
After climbing gradually to more than 33,000 feet, the jet dropped some 6,000 feet in about 22 seconds, according to preliminary radar data posted Saturday by a commercial website. In roughly 60 seconds, the data show the plane’s speed dropping to about 100 miles an hour, slower than the forward speed needed to continue safe flight. According to the data, which hasn’t been confirmed by investigators, the plane had been cruising at roughly 460 miles an hour.

(debris was scattered in an 8 kilometer radius)
Here’s more color from Sputnik who notes that any concerns about the condition of the plane (as allegedly voiced by the co-pilot prior to the flight) were unfounded:
The crashed Russian airliner had passed all necessary tests when entering the Kogalymavia fleet; and the technical condition of the plane was good, the company's top manager said Monday. The aircraft's engines were inspected in Moscow on October 26; no problems were found. Moreover, there were no problems with the quality of fuel used by the Russian airliner.
"In regard to fatigued cracks it should be noted that work on its assessment of metal fatigue on airliners is done every five years. We also conducted such work very carefully on this plane and that was in March 2014," Kogalymavia flight director Alexander Smirnov said during a press conference in Moscow.
The tail part of the Airbus A321 plane had sustained damages in 2001, the airliner was fully repaired. The technical condition of the plane was normal, Kogalymavia officials said.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg examines the possibility that an explosive device was smuggled onto the jet:
While the Islamic State’s Sinai affiliate claimed responsibility for shooting the plane down, Egyptian and Russian officials said those claims weren’t credible. Only the most sophisticated ground-based missiles can reach 31,000 feet (9,450 meters), the cruising altitude at which the Metrojet encountered problems and began to fall.
That doesn’t rule out a bomb like the one that detonated aboard Pan Am Flight 103 as it was carrying holiday travelers from London to New York on Dec. 21, 1988. A small explosive device smuggled aboard in checked luggage blew out the side of the Boeing Co. 747 and it came apart over Scotland, according to the U.K.’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch report.
So far, neither Egyptian nor Russian officials have said there’s any evidence of a bomb. Explosive devices cause telltale pitting on nearby metal and also leave chemical residue, according to the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, so an examination of the wreckage should tell investigators whether or not that was the cause.
One area investigators will pay close attention is damage to the Metrojet A321 when its tail struck the runway while landing in Cairo in 2001. The plane was repaired and returned to service, according to Ascend Worldwide Ltd., a London-based company that gathers data for insurers.
There have been at least two similar accidents caused by improper repairs after tail damage.
But Russia’s aviation watchdog, Rosaviatsia, says it's premature to come to any conclusions:
"It is completely premature to speak about the reasons of this as there are not grounds. And I’d like to call on the aviation community to refrain from any premature conclusions."
And here’s the company explaining that a modern passenger plane doesn’t simply “disintegrate” in mid-air.
"Before the A321 began falling, it most likely had received considerable damage to its construction that would not allow it to fly. Obviously, due to this, when the catastrophic situation started to unfold, the crew completely lost control over the plane, which would explain why there were no attempts to communicate and report on the emergency situation on board," the airlines’ deputy general director of technical and production issues, Andrei Averianov, said at a press conference in Moscow.
External forces are the only possible reason of the deadly crash, Kogalymavia officials said Monday. Kogalymavia 7K9268 flight likely suffered substantial damages when it started to fall, officials said.
"A plane cannot break up in the air due to some sort of [system] failure. If we exclude any type of fantastic version, then theoretically a plane may break up because of large overloads. The Airbus 320 aircraft is a very reliable plane and has so-called protection in its control, which does not allow for the plane to become overloaded even if there is an error in piloting techniques. The only feasible explanation to the reason for the plane breaking up in mid-air would be a particular action, a mechanical or physical action on the aircraft. I’m not authorized to make any sort of conclusions, but a plane cannot simply disintegrate."
Right. Or, as we put it on Sunday, even as the "experts" claim that i) ISIS couldn't have shot the plane down, and ii) that the data seem to "rule out" sabotage, one can't help but note that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was brought down by a missile over Ukraine and furthermore, it's not clear why "some sort of control problem" isn't compatible with someone either hitting the aircraft with a projectile or else detonating an explosive on board. That is, when planes explode in mid-flight, it tends to lead to "control problems."
Still, offcials are hesitant to suggest that terrorism is indeed responsible. Here's a rather vague explanation of what might have happened from Former NTSB investigator Alan Diehl who spoke to CNN:
Former NTSB investigator Alan Diehl told CNN he believes the "final destruction" of the plane could have been from "aerodynamic forces or some other type of G-forces."
And here's a bit more regarding reports that the co-pilot had reservations about the plane's condition:
The ex-wife of the plane's copilot, Sergei Trukhachev, said over the weekend that he had told his daughter he was concerned about the condition of the plane. "Our daughter had a telephone chat with him just before the flight," Natalya Trukhacheva told Russia's state-run NTV. "He complained before the flight that one could wish for better technical condition of the plane."
But a Kogalymavia said such reports were irresponsible and that there was no record of the pilot or crew making any complaints.
Executive Smirnov said that he had personally flown the plane in recent months and that it was "pristine."
The A321-200 was built in 1997, and Kogalymavia, which is also known as Metrojet, had been operating it since 2012, Airbus said in a statement. The aircraft had clocked up around 56,000 flight hours over the course of nearly 21,000 flights, the plane maker said.
So draw your own conclusions, but what does seem clear is that the plane did indeed explode which, unless you believe IS Sinai shot down a jet cruising at 31,000 feet, suggests that some manner of bomb was detonated on board. It's either that, or you go with Alan Diehl's "aerodynamic forces or some other type of G-forces," explanation.
Whatever the case, at least 130 bodies left Egypt on Sunday evening bound for St. Petersburg.
Remember, the Sinai Peninsula is well within the range of Russia's warplanes flying from Latakia:

Okay; perhaps a closer analogue is the crash of China Airlines Flight 611 in 2002. It disintegrated and crashed 22 years after improper repairs were made to it after it suffered a tailstrike on landing. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Airlines_Flight_611
In the China Airlines crash, there was apparently no time to write messages to loved ones. From the article cited, "There was no distress signal or communication sent out prior to the crash. Radar data suggests that the aircraft broke into four pieces while at 35,000 feet.. This theory is supported by the fact that articles that would have been found inside the aircraft were found up to 80 miles (130 km) from the crash site in villages in central Taiwan"
Recall also the November 2001 crash of AA Flight 587, an Airbus A300, which crashed after takeoff in NYC when its rudder broke off. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_587 Because that crash happened so soon after 911, many assumed it was the result of terrorism. 260 on the plane perished, as did 5 on the ground.
One key bit of info here seems to be the apparent 'lack of communication' from the aircrew that anything was happening. In other words, things went from a normal to such a catastrophically abnormal condition.....that neither pilot was even able to radio 'oh shit we've been hit by something...', or something along those lines. To the layman, that would indicate a sudden and violent kinetic force that killed the aircrew almost immediately....or rendered them incapable of communications due to equipment failure, loss of consciousness, etc.
Yeah, the damaged tail that the msm is pushing would more than likely be a slow process with a possible difficult or crash landing; plenty of time to radio in. Scary event for all these people, and seemingly all of us too, given the timing and possible planners.
A broken off tail section would give the pilots at least a few seconds if not minutes to make contact, no way this could have been the (only) reason for the crash.
Yeah, the previously-damaged tail section theory just doesn't hold water for me. Unless I misread the story, the damage occurred and was repaired in 2001. That was 14 years ago, during which time this airliner has likely undergone thousands of takeoff/pressurization/landing cycles, with no issues. If the repair was to a structurally-critical area, and was done shoddily or incorrectly....the consequences of such work should have manifested LONG ago.
As with so many of these tragedies, the sad thing is we're never going to know the truth, unless the truth somehow coincides with the agenda of TPTB.
Oh my Gold Oil and Drugs! Mother fucking LOGIC!!
Got to love the convoluted conspiracy theories on here. Good entertainment. Never goes without either mentioning Mossad, CIA or 911 and the odd religious nutter.
Anyone ever experience Egyptian airports? They're chaotic. Probably relatively easy to smuggle a bomb on board (compared to western security - which isn't watertight either) and there are more than enough ISIS supporters in Egypt. A radicalised service personell at the airport willing to plant the bomb seems most likely IMO.
You knock the conspiracy theories.
Yet you theorize conspiracy by ISIS supporters to plant a bomb on board. A conspiracy theory.
Welcome aboard.
Notice the word convoluted.
As in, false flag, bla bla horseshit.
ISIS planting a bomb is pretty straight forward and given that ISIS have so far never claimed an attack they didn't do, the fairly obvious is still my best bet. But you believe whatever you want to believe.
Schitzi, you do even know the difference between a Theory and a Hypothesis?
What people here are postulating, are the latter. Now go look up the meaning of Hypothesis.

Being the devious sort, Kirk would've deliberately created a seeming weak spot (like that narrow part at the rear), and used it to bait the enemy.
That way, using the Bait tactic, you can control the situation far better and impose your terms of battle.
History shows that cunning and deviousness beats intellect most of the time. E.g. Kirk v. Khan, Zionist v. Goyim.
Shocker. Owner of the plane says it wasn't a mechanical fault or human error. Can't imagine there being a conflict of interest of any sort.
Don't be naive. Check the insurance policy, and see if it had Double Indemnity.
The Aleppo power plant is a 1,000 megawatt thermal plant in five units build by Mitsubishi Heavy Industry in 1995-1998. It is situated some 25 kilometers east of Aleppo city center. During the fighting around Aleppo various electricity distribution stations were damaged and electricity in parts of the city has become scarce and unpredictable. But the main power station had so far not been hit.

Thank god they didn't target wind farms and solar panels.
If so, then it begs the following question: with all its air dominance and AA assets, why is Russia allowing them to do that, and why are they not broadcasting this?
The whole thing stinks, top to bottom.
Global warming.
Climate change.
That term allows you to go long and short on a normally oscillating temperature pattern.
"a modern passenger plane doesn’t simply “disintegrate” in mid-air.". Come on. It's as if you learned nothing on Sep. 11th. Jeez.
Patient died of cerebral aneurism .... shortly after a 45 cal foreign object .... impacted frontal lobe ?

Maybe it was 19 guys with boxcutters.
224 pipple in a 185 seat aircraft .... the seventeen babies are not counted .... but pipple pack light on beach vacations .... the plane was loaded with fuel .... where's all the char .... flameless downstream explosion in baggage .... engine fire suppression .... fuel sucked out during "descent" .... ISIS video was fake ?
I'd like to draw everyone's attention to the stark difference between how Russia acts after the tragedy occured and... ehm... its' more established peers.
No tidal rush of allegations minutes afte the incident that it was ISIS or Murica or what-not. Everybody keeps calm (as much as you can in this horrible situation) and tells everybody that they are looking at all possibilities, but not drawing any conclusions prior to the conclusion of investigation. You won't see The Pravda with the headline "Obama killed my children!". You won't see heads of friendly states bleeting the same line about who is responsible. And let's not forget, that, as cynical as it sounds, this is a good "opportunity" for Russia to strengthen its stand on operations in Syria (and potentially in neighboring countries) against ISIS.
Instead Russia is showing the enlightened West how adults behave after such a horrible tragedy occurs. You try to stay calm, you don't yell unfounded accusations, you work effectively on the ground, you pursue the truth.
Putin's Russia doesn't have to stir up mass hysteria about boogeymen like Saddam Hussein who clearly had nothing to do with any given mass killing because Putin does not owe his political career to the culprits---which, almost without exception, are agents of the House of Saud.
Putin can certainly not be accused of actually goading Saudi into killing people who didn't vote for him anyway just to give him an excuse to liquidate a former puppet he had it in for.
Yes, it's the same reaction they had about the plane they shot down over Ukraine. Interesting indeed.
How dare the Russians rely on actual evidence rather than accept the idle speculation made by random uniformed jerks on the Internet.
This must be fake. Everyone knows a plane crash leaves NO debris
Wasn't ambassador Stevens killed because he was concerned about the transfer of Stinger missiles to jihadi ass holes by the CIA?
Have any of you guys been to Sharm? I have, the Ritz Carlton and the diving is great but the rest of the place isn't that impressive. The Egyptians there are totally focused on sucking money from your wallet - no matter what nationality you are though they know the Russians spend more and they cater to that crowd.
The airport is about the size of an airport you will find in a midwestern city - not small, not big and when I was there, security wasn't brilliant. Just the usual Egyptian police in their cheap suits was about as good as it got.
I think many people are not aware of the rise of Jihadism in Egypt. The cancer is growing there. The more I think of it, the more I think it was a bomb brought on board airside. However, neither the Egyptians or Russians will ever admit that. And if the US did it we will never know (btw--notice how remarkably fast John Kerry was sending his condolences? I think most people in America didn't even know and he was already apologizing from Krygyzstan where he was selling freedom and democracy to yet another country around Russia.

http://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2015/10/249040.htm
SECRETARY KERRY: Before we ask the question, I was just sitting here thinking about – I wanted to – I know my fellow minister would join me in this. We learned today about the loss of an airliner flying – Russian plane flying from Egypt, Sharm el-Sheikh, to St. Petersburg, I think 224 people aboard. And we simply want to extend our condolences to Russia and to all of the families. We don’t know any details about it, but obviously, the initial reports represent a tremendous tragedy and loss. And we extend our sympathies to the families and all those concerned.
Kerry is a suck ass ?
Nice to see Bloomberg clutching at straws.
Russia is at war with Saudi Arabia. Until Saudi is conquered by Russia and the House of Saud removed from power and replaced by a government with less interest in spreading Islam by the sword, the House of Saud are the prime suspect in any mass killing of Russian civilians.
Saudi or Turkey.
Russia consented to the sanctions against the "rebels" in Yemen. And the naval blockade. Not sure why.
Formally, all we credibly have at the moment is:
"But Russia’s aviation watchdog, Rosaviatsia, says it's premature to come to any conclusions:
They are embarrassed by ISIS's daring success .... this takes the euphoria punchbowl away from the Syrian initial success meme ?
No, this is objective engineering practice in the face of a technical problem of unknown scope.
All you pro isis supporters of terrorism need to be banned from this site. Terrorism is a war crime and you fuckers need to be arrested for the support you espouse for them, sick fuckers.
Terrorism is a war crime? We overthrew the recognized government in libya. We have provided weaponry to enemy combatants attempting to overthrow the recognized government in Syria? Are we committing war crimes too?
Yes and only traitors and terrorists would support such things.
Yes.
Yes I don't get that. Either they come to disrupt the comment sections and piss people off (paid or unpaid), or they really are immature, deranged little nihilist faggots who can't get laid and/or have no friends nor any hope for a happy life and want to bring everyone down to their level of sullen 15 yr. old degenerate, forever fapping while watching anime and cheering on the deaths of innocent people.
I know you hate Putin soooo much I guess because he makes our President look like an asshole, but still...
Await the blowback coward. You will be left speechless.
I suggest the following theory: It may be the case that the plane was shot down using the very weapons dropped by USA to boost the democracy fighting cause of their brothers in arms
Ummm...those were small arms.
It'd take a sophisticated missile platform (like the one that brought down MH-17, a Russian SA-11) to reach 33K cruising altitude.
More likely an altitude-sensor-detonated suitcase bomb like the one that brought down Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, killing 243 people.
It is not clear what brought down M H17.
its just fishy that the dutch "reconstruction" omitted the more contentious pieces
"Wilson later told CBS he "lived in terror" that a civilian airliner would be shot down by a Stinger, but he did not have misgivings about having provided Stingers to defeat the Soviets.[25]"
In regards to the "small explosive device" that "blew out the side" of Pan Am 103 (also at 31,000 feet), it only made a 20 inch hole, the difference in pressure amplified that explosion.
Is it not then possible that a structural failure on the craft resulted in a catastrophic failures of the entire rear fuselage?
Is this an airline trying to squirm out of a lawsuit?
This was a $10 Radio Shack alarm clock bomb ?
Someone is going to college in Qatar.
and suffering great mental distress from islamophobia. /s
Better investigate clock boy.
hmm, interesting, someone earlier somewhere made the point that the Sinai area is 1600-2000 meters above see level - so if the plane is at 31,000 feet minu the +/- 5,000 feet...
http://www.sheikmousa.com/south-sinai.html
If there was any type of bomb, Russian investigators will find evidence quickly. There are clear telltale signs about a bomb ripping apart an airplane. There will be explosives residues.
The possibility still exists that an in-flight strructural problem happened. There is a serious question about how much routine inspection this airline was doing on its aircraft. Or did they cut costs, and eliminate the standard inspections on the fueselage? There were US aircraft that had major damage to their skin from in-flight structural problems. If I remember, there was a flight to Hawaii where part of the roof (skin) tore off the plane. Fatigue cracks.
Franco Russian incompetency and lazy safety inspectors checking off boxes in a hurry before going to lunch is my vote
well thought out you dick.
Franco Russian incompetency and lazy safety inspectors checking off boxes in a hurry before going to lunch is my vote
If this was a bomb planeted by the west, (funny how ISIS had a video made and all), and the china explosion, then maybe we are already in WW3 and just dont know it yet? BY they way, I had no clue what happened in China, but Jim Willie was in an interview and he convinced me it was most likely the west...If true, and if bomb in plane was by west, then surely it is WW3.
Well, I have been watching videos the last few weeks of Mulsim armies marching un-opposed into the heart of Eurpoe, so yea, WWIII is in fact underway.
that plane got mossaded!
Team of CIA spooks and MANPAD(s). Welcome to the party, pal!
Putin asked for it. He got it. YEAH!!!!
"Come on 'Dillos! Let's get it on!"
Never thought i would live to see the day when people would come out to support al-ciaduh. But here we are. Hegelian Dialectic has shifted to the absurd.
In Bizarro World, we are not at war with al Qaeda, we have never been at war with al Qaeda.
Where is US satellite data, which must be available in region so close to Israel? In case of MH17, reportedly, US satellites picked up missile launch, though this info has for some unknown reason not been shared with investigators who reconstructed MH17's crash.
When it comes to air disasters, for a panoply of reasons, the truth seems to have become a scarce commodity...
There is truth inside the black boxes - but we seem to either never find them, or never release the actual data and recordings any more. But that may tell you more about who controls the black boxes and what their agenda is...
This seems similar to MH 370 which stopped communicating.
Everyone was asking why that can be so.
Some suggesting someone took control via wireless protocols hidden in aviation software.
This plane was flying close to Israel.
Makes you wonder.
ISIS just like its predecessor Al Qaeda an oh so very convenient attack dog for the criminal regimes from Washington to Tel Aviv to Riyadh.

A plane can be overloaded if there is a computer malfunction and subsequent pilot error. Knowing how Alaskan airlines fudged the safety check data on the plane that went down off the coast I would not be surprised if the tail was not inspected closely and someone just checked off a few boxes before going to lunch
Funny how this article doesn't mention that well before the crash, the pilots radioed saying they were having technical problems and were turning around to land at the nearest airport.
But mentioning that would really put a dint in their conspiracy theories. Never let the truth get in the way of a good conspiracy story.
There was a story a few days ago about something that ISIS was working on that looked like a flying condom. Maybe it actually was deployed?
In related news, the US has developed its own flying condom. It's called "The Kerry"
"one can't help but note that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was brought down by a missile over Ukraine..."
Tyler, you know better than to make that statement. Regardless of what the Dutch "investigation" reports there are multiple lines of evidence and reasoning that cast doubt on that conclusion, as any careful reader of your blog well knows.
The MSM builds universally acceptdd narratives out of lies by simply repeating them over and over as background information about related stories. Sometimes they do this even after their own investigative journalists have disproved the lie - they just go on repeating it as a kind of "and by the way." If you were once a journalist, or if you feel the need to gain credibility by aligning with the MSM narrative, it is tempting to fall into this pattern. But we, your readers, expect better from you.
Not to mention that apparently the Ukrainians have a new type of missile that leaves fighter jet machine gun holes all around the cockpit.
As I indicated in a similar ZH thread, this was plain sabotage...planted by a "Western" asset.
", but a plane cannot simply disintegrate.""
According to the US Government and MSM that's exactly what happened to the 'plane' that hit the Pentagram on 9/11.
Russia needs to get US investigators over there. They'll settle it up quick and clean.
<-- It was a meteor
<-- It was Mossad
Is it s coincidence that the giant undiscovered asteroid appeared on Halloween? Or was that the alien mothership in disguise?
That was just George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, totally unrelated.

So if the US took this one down does that mean the score is now tied 1-1 and we are heading for shootouts?
No, if the US took this down, it is 2-0 (US-Russia) if the other event was MH17.
Since ISIS proudly claimed responsibility for the downing of this airliner - then Russia should just as proudly send them a couple of nukes to hasten their claim on that 72 year old virgin they're always yapping about.
Considering where this occurred has anyone considered an in-flight collision with someone on a flying carpet?
Is the CIA missing any blimps?
Or try this video on the ISIS flying condom bombs:
http://www.popsci.com/video-shows-bomb-carrying-condom-balloons-in-syria
Or Google it yourself!
Military expert today on MSM when asked about ISIS claims; ISIS doesn't have the weapons to bring a plane down from that high up.
Maybe, just maybe, ISIS loaded the weapon into the plane while it was on the ground.
Exploding underwear no doubt.
I never understood the logic used by the exploding underwear guy. If you bring down a plane by wrapping a few pounds of C4 around Mr. Happy, what good are the 72 virgins you get when you arrive in paradise?
Maybe the thinking is your unit will get to the afterlife ahead of the rest of you.
You know, to keep your place in line. These virgins are busy girls.
maybe you got it wrong dude, maybe he wanted to be one of the 72 virgins, in paradise you get a choice right?
Just set an altimeter to trigger it at 30,000 ft...

i always thought this was weird that a airplane broke up at 31k ft. doesnt make sense but then again these russian carriers are the worsth at maintenance. seems they crash every month in russia. this had better not be a bomb.
Who runs security at Sharm El-Sheikh Airport, which used to be IAF base Orita? Surely the Israelis are at least "advisors".

Russians are pragmatic. They likely already know. Bury the dead, let families grieve..... Then release the BB recorder info. Bomb planted in the drinks, snacks and sandwiches. Or, not my idea, found it elsewhere..... an SA-8 Gecko. Blew up a cargo plane about a month or so ago at 36,000 feet. Heat and proximity warheads. Look it up. It would have been a short drive into Egypt. Putin will carpet bomb those CIA assets with Egypt's blessing. Syria, Kurd-state, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Yemen ....... FUCK YOUR QATAR-SAUDI PIPELINE. Are we supposed to believe that the US government or any other country never designed a MANPAD with enough range to take down a civilian airliner?
The official range of a Stinger is 26k feet and can be fired from up to 5 miles away. I used to read JANES all the time. Every single time they mentioned the range of a weapon or aircraft there was always an asterisk. It always said estimated or reported. JANES always said that the actual range of a weapon was most likely higher than reported due to not wanting enemies to know the actual range of the weapon.
To think that a Stinger can't hit a civilian aircraft moving much slower than a military aircraft, even at 33k feet, isn't thinking hard enough. You have a very easy IR signature to lock onto as well.
The Starstreak is also very interesting since it has the longest range and accelerates to Mach 4. A civilian airliner doesn't make sudden moves and a SAM like the Starstreak essentially fires a bullet towards it's target with a delayed reaction armor piercing fuse.
If the video that was posted is real, it was a missile that shot that plane down.
Wasnt McCain recently talking about bringing down an airplane?
Lets capture and torture him mercilessly until he talks.
Then torture him some more just for the enjoyment.
Yep!!.
Repeat waterboarding.
He has no objections to its use.
McCain will probably like it anyways. He may get used to it.
Putin!!! Where are you??!!!
2 Days After Sinai Plane Tragedy, Some Russians Wonder: Where Is Putin?
President Vladimir Putin on Monday afternoon made his first public appearance since the country experienced its largest-ever plane disaster: the crash of an Airbus A321 carrying mostly Russian tourists from Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on Saturday.
Looking straight into the camera and speaking in a subdued voice, Putin reiterated his condolences to those affected by the “terrible catastrophe” and called for an “objective picture” of the crash, in which 224 people died, a video of his short speech published on the Kremlin's website showed.
In a country where the president's every move is given broad coverage on national television, Putin's largely absent reaction has raised eyebrows.
“Where is Putin?” Alexei Naryshkin, a journalist for the liberal Ekho Moskvy radio station said Saturday in a comment on his Facebook page. “Today I am waiting for [Putin] more than ever. Not a Kremlin press release, but the real (forgive me) president. Just snap your fingers, all these state television channels will come to your home,” he said.
Putin was reported by Russian media on Saturday as having expressed his condolences to the victims of the crash. A statement on the Kremlin's website also declared Sunday a day of national mourning in the president's name.
Delay TacticAccording to some analysts, Putin's delayed reaction is a sign there is still uncertainty over what caused the plane to break up mid-air.
Dmitry Oreshkin, an independent political analyst, told The Moscow Times that Putin's silence was a sign he had information the crash could have been caused by more than a technical failure.
“[Putin] doesn't know yet what stand he will take,” he said.
When the Kursk submarine sank 15 years ago — in one of the worst disasters in Russian naval history — Putin did not appear in public for days until the full gravity of the incident had been assessed, Oreshkin said. Putin canceled his vacation in Sochi only five days after the tragedy began, leaving his officials to take the heat.
“As usual, the second and third tiers of the leadership paint a picture [of what happened], and the leader is silent, so that he later isn't caught on his words,” Oreshkin told The Moscow Times.
Job DescriptionAn alternative version is that Putin does not consider it part of his job description to console his electorate in case of national tragedies.
“This is not like with Western politicians, where people are accountable to their voters. Putin is not interested in domestic events at all. … He doesn't consider he should get involved in this,” Stanislav Belkovsky, director of Moscow-based think tank the Center for National Strategy, told The Moscow Times.
The Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which was downed over eastern Ukraine in July last year, killing all passengers on board, was “ a completely different case,” Belkovsky said, because it concerned an event that could have broader political consequences.
In that case, the Kremlin published a video late that same night of Putin expressing his condolences at a government meeting.
“[With that appearance] he was telling [U.S. President Barack] Obama: I didn't down that plane. But this is a purely Russian problem that does not disquiet him at all,” Belkovsky said.
Stay PositivePutin's recent absence from television screens could also betray a Soviet-era heritage that restricts leaders to being the bearers of only good news, analysts said.
“[Putin] made many appearances talking about the Syria conflict because he thought it would end well. But this [the aftermath of the plane crash in Egypt] will end badly, so you have to appear [in public] less,” Oreshkin said.
With 88 percent of Russians following the news mainly through television coverage, according to data from the state-run Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) pollster in April, visual images of the president alongside news of the tragedy could frame the leader in a negative light.
“In the Russian tradition, an unscheduled appearance by the head of the government could mean misfortune in itself — regardless of the reason,” political scientist Yekaterina Schulmann said.
No ExpectationsAnalysts agreed most Russians did not resent Putin's passivity in the wake of national tragedies and that some even preferred it.
An online poll by Ekho Moskvy radio published Sunday showed that 57 percent of more than 70,915 online respondents said they had not expected Putin to play a more active role, compared to 36 percent of voters who said they did.
“The lack of a public reaction from the higher authorities paradoxically has a soothing effect on a Russian audience — the declaring of [days] of national mourning means that misfortune has taken place, but since no one says anything else, it must mean that that is all. In Russia's political system, what is frightening is not the catastrophe, accident or terror attack itself, but the authorities' reaction to them,” Schulmann said.
Even those Russians who would have wanted Putin to be more active were unlikely to bear a grudge for long, Oreshkin said.
“[For most Russians], Putin is the only beam of light. This clinging to Putin's [positive] image means [Russians] are willing to forgive him anything,” Oreshkin said.
Pilot swiped left instead of right.
It's a shame that supposed, "responsible" state actors have and will continue to resort to acts of the lowest sort of terrorism (If that turns out to be the case here and it isn't mechanical failure). Pieces of shit who sink down to the level of the lowest skum of the earth by killing hapless non-combatants because they are too weak and/or chickenshit to fight straight up.
This means none of these bastards should ever be trusted and no innocents are safe.
The days of enemies meeting in open battle are over, welcome to the age of cowards.
Condolences to the families.
Unfortunately there are many ways that a plane can explode.
Russian investigators are a must.
Airbus investigators also...as they have the blueprints and can aid the others in identifying fragments of parts.
IS is going to be claiming responsibility for any and all of Russia's misfortunes....that is simply the nature of the beast, so to speak. They have great incentive to claim they are more powerful than they are.
If all the parts of the plane can be isolated and collected, then there is a good chance the investigators will be able to identify the cause.
Don't read too much into the flight operator's statements that nothing to do with the plane itself could be the culprit. After all, if so, then they would be responsible. So they have great incentive to claim that it was all someone else's problem.
With that said...there are a lot of things that can take out an aircraft. And despite the flight operator's (Kogalymavia) statement the fact is they can't know that yet.
And yes, a design problem, or a maintenance problem can make an aircraft come apart in the air.
Or what do you think made those Airbus A380 tail-sections fall off?????
Also keep in mind that the jet fuel is essentially a bomb contained in the fuel tanks inside the wings.
Jet mainentance is important...and airplanes are fundamentally fragile...
And maybe someone did put a bomb in it.
Keep in mind, it could have been a small one placed by someone with access to the plane, like ground or mainenance crew, rather than a passenger.
Again, planes are fundamentally fragile constructions.
224 lives taken.
I trust the Russians will give them their due worth.
1000 dead terrorists for each and every one.
Double for each of the 25 children.
Even then it won't be justice.
Our education system in Russia is the best in world. Just listen how good is over minister knowledge in English:

The plane was flying to St Petersburg, the city where Putin was born, grew up, and got his start as a (blatantly corrupt) government official after leaving the KGB. That would make it a likely target for a bombing. They should check the 1st class passenger list for any of his known cronies.
Why does this meme keep circulating? There probably isn't even a 1st class option on that flight. It's like the lumpen-express. Un-dacha'd plebes on their way to their one "extravagance" of the year. So Putin's friends wouldn't even go there, in the first place. It's like Disneyland with a beach, only dirtier, and with Israeli checkpoints and bothersome security measures. (read any travel promo, they're actually proud of it)
I just checked and it was a plane configured in economy mode, so forget the "crony onboard" conjecture.
However, the St Petersburg destination connection with Putin makes that plane a better target to "send a message" than other Russian flights as does the Middle East departure point. That's why I think this was a bombing. I can easily see insider involvement at the airport to get the device on-board if that was even necessary. As pointed out in several tests of the TSA system here, they can't actually stop much of anything.
For a great background on Putin, watch:
Putin's Way (PBS Frontline)

and a 2014 book mentioned in the documentary which I've yet to read:

There were no public figures on board that plane.
Low cost tour airline on route...
you can check the passenger list yourself before posting stupid
what has destination to do with Russian President?
any proof of corruption? Reality is that cleaning corruption began..

"The tail part of the Airbus A321 plane had sustained damages in 2001, the airliner was fully repaired. "
Tailstrike repairs failed after too many flights? http://lessonslearned.faa.gov/ll_main.cfm?TabID=4&LLID=16&LLTypeID=2
Tailstrike repairs failed after too many flights?
I think that's exactly what happened . . . see my related post.
If done correctly the sheet-metal repair would be stronger than the original construction. Also the area would be subject to periodic inspections whether it had been damaged or not.
You want to believe, to an airline company that's being grounded for safety reason?

Well.. be my guest..
I think you Pooty lovers here conveiniently forgot a little plane "accident" back in 2010. But Pooty would never be apart of any kind of plane crash at all would he? He's such a great guy right? Just like he would never assasinate a journalist who crticises him right? Just like he would never poison someone with a polonium latte because they were challenging him would he?
It's only the CIA or the evil Mossad that would ever do any of those things right? Not Vlady. My Vlady din do nuffins!
WARSAW — A plane carrying the Polish president and dozens of the country’s top political and military leaders to the site of a Soviet massacre of Polish officers in World War II crashed in western Russia on Saturday, killing everyone on board.
Isn't it ironic..dontcha think?!?!?!
http://mobile.nytimes.com/2010/04/11/world/europe/11poland.html?referer=
To whom are you talking?
To the Pooty lovers here who claim everything is a false flag by CIA/Mossad/Israel. Ever notice when there is just a regular article here that it gets anywhere from 25-75+ depending on the subject matter regarding the fed, gold/silver or the markets?
But when it's about Russia/Putin, china or anything middle eastey the trolls come out and it's always Israel/Mossad/CIA as the one and only culprits of these things all the while disregarding any involvement of Russia who has funded just as many of these fucked up regimes in the Middle East.
Who do you think supports the Iranians, Syrians, and Iraq under saddam? Where do you think those SCUD missles came from?
So to answer question to whom I speak of are the one who do everything to not entertain the thought that it just might be someone other than the US/CIA/moosad
2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash
The pilots were attempting to land at Smolensk North Airport – a former military airbase – in thick fog, with visibility reduced to about 500 metres (1,600 ft). The aircraft descended far below the normal approach path until it struck trees, rolled inverted and crashed into the ground, coming to rest in a wooded area a short distance from the runway.
The official investigation by the Polish authorities found serious deficiencies in the organization and training of the Air Force unit involved, which was subsequently disbanded. Several high-ranking members of the Polish military resigned, under pressure from politicians and the media.
As though radar and altitude couldn't be manipulated to make the plane think is was higher than it actually was .
Remember Ron Brown?

http://dangerouslogic.com/ron_brown.html
They didn't need to manipulate anything. ATC told them to fly to another airport, put the Polish officials pushed and pressured the pilot into that adventure which ended in a crash. It doesn't get any simpler than that. You know that saying "Never attribute to malice something that can be explained by stupidity." Besides, aircraft get their data from sensors on the plane, not from external radars and instruments, so ATC couldn't have faked anything.
pollack pres was known to become drunk during flights, enter cabin, boss and
interfere, insult pilots, harrass crew as dumb arrogant little goat he was.

Turkish Airlines just made Sinai a no go zone.
Something is up.
WND is claiming they have second ISIS cell claiming the kill.
On Monday, Kogalymavia (the airline operating the flight) is out insisting that neither pilot error or a problem with the plane itself could possibly have been responsible for the “accident.”
One good reason for the airline to deny that there could have been a problem with the plane itself is the fact that this same plane was severely damaged by hitting the tail section on landing in Egypt about 14 years ago. That incident required the plane to undergo extensive repairs to the rear part of the aircraft and could have compromised the long term structural integrity of the plane. The pilot of the plane also reportedly complained about the poor condition of the aircraft in a phone conversation with his wife before the flight.
There was a similar incident (tail landing damage) with a Japanese Airbus that ultimately caused that plane to breakup in flight and crash also, so there is some precedent for this type of thing to occur. Since the airline would be responsible for ensuring the air-worthiness of the plane they have a good reason to deny there could have been a problem with it.
I just want to know why the guy with the cell phone was holding steady on a plane that far away, before the puff of Smoke
I'm waiting for Putin to stand near the wreckage, "ie bush and twin- towers", and state we will find who did this and hunt them down, and make them pay.
state their terrorist, and start where ever you want.
then go to un, start a coalition, china, lybia. Egypt, Palestine. jordan, lebeanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Oman, maybe Afghanistan, Pakistan, and a few se Asian countries.
Best idea.Ever.

If I were advising Mr. Putin, I would hold ISIS accountable by bombing them mercilessly in Iraq.
Peace Prize doesn't ask for permission for his half asssed sorties against Syria, so why does Vlad need Obama's permission.
Soften up for Ramadi and then bomb anything that moves onto MOsul the big prize.
Lots of red herrings in this mess.
Whenever there is mention of "satellite" evidence, the evidence is likely false.
<<That same infrared satellite would have been able to track the heat trail of a missile from the ground.
"The speculation that this plane was brought down by a missile is off the table," the official said.>>
When statesmen evoke "satellite" this or "satellite" that, they are speaking in open code to all other statesmen.
If public Americans want the world to believe there is evidence to rule out a missile, I bet the plane was hit by a missile. It sounds like Americans are trying to learn how to play chess. They have no other reason to speak.
And the CabalA$$LickerLiarDrugAddictObama declared 100 million $ aid to Syrian rebels.
As a reward ?

crash site preliminary data from the bodies recovered, shows that those people seated the front seats were killed by head traumas, broken necks, blood loss, shock, etc. However, bodies recovered lying outside of the plane, up to over a mile away, suffered burns over 90% of their body and had embedded metal fragments piercing the corpses. This strongly implies a bomb onboard detonated in the rear of the craft, blew victims outside of the fuselage.
