Martin Armstrong Warns "It May Be Too Late"

The Obama Administration’s strategy regarding Russia and foreign affairs has been a total disaster.
They have remarkably brought back the Cold War and placed the world at risk, all for their power plays that American citizens ignore. This issue in Syria illustrates how once politicians make a mistake, they will never admit it, nor will they reverse their policy. The entire Syria strategy was to overthrow the government’s attempt to get a pipeline through to Europe to compete with Russia to reduce its economy with regard to the natural gas it sells to Europe. This policy has led to ISIS, the refugee invasion of Europe, and a continual support with troops advising on the ground how to overthrow the Syrian government. This will lead to war because this is now totally insane. Saudi Arabia is beginning to issue bonds for the government’s budget counted on higher oil prices.
Putin has announced that he will counter the US-NATO’s missile shield defense program by deploying new strike weapons that are capable of piercing the shield that the Democrats objected, which was initiated by Ronald Reagan. Putin stated publicly that that he is developing defenses against ballistic missiles to prevent Obama from attempting to “neutralize” Russia’s nuclear deterrent. Unfortunately, Obama has one year left and that is too much time to screw the world up even more.
What we need is a non-politician with brains and guts. Someone who will stop the bureaucrats in the military establishment from creating World War III. Project Northwoods revealed how these people would kill American citizens and blame it on someone else just to get their military goals.
The revelation of Northwoods after the Oliver Stone movie has shed some light on the entire assassination of JFK. The problem with electing an outsider to Washington will be that he indeed would become a target for assassination by the insiders who see themselves as the defender of the faith, which is their agenda. It is like the police today; they are trained to look for the bad guys, and suspect that everyone is a criminal. Those in the military establishment are the same. Everything they see is a threat to their power. Presidents have become puppets.
They have brought back the Cold War and there is nothing that would make them happier than to create war. The Second Amendment was to keep citizens armed rather than maintain standing armies. Prince Eugene of Savoy was one of the greatest generals of all time. Montesquieu interviewed Savoy for his books and what came out of this encounter was the realization that standing armies provoke wars for those in power, whom felt it was a waste of money unless deployed.
On January 17, 1961, President Eisenhower delivered his farewell speech to the nation, reflecting his inside knowledge as a former General. He said:
“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.”
Insiders have weakened and usurped our presidents. Obama got to play golf with Tiger Woods while the nation he handed to the insider crowd. We need to rethink the structure of government, but it may be simply too late.

I first heard of Martin Armstrong some years back when his letters were being published by GATA through Bill Murphy's lemetropolecafe. I clearly remember Martin complaining that he was being held until he could prove that he did not have hidden assets.
Well a few months after his release an ancient coin dealer (CNG) offered the Princeton Economics collection of rare coins. That auction alone had to net the seller over a hundred thousand dollars. Princeton Economics was Martin Armstrongs company. The remaining assets of that company were deemed by the court to be the proceeds of fraud against investors. Armstrong had claimed he had no assets remaining while in jail.
I never took a word that weasel has said since then with other than a big grain of salt.

2. He isn't the only one that knows the inning and the score. There are people in the know who are willing to talk, quietly and 'off the record'. That there is any disclosure at all probbly means we are entering what some would consider the end-game tertiary chapter of this particular cycle/saga...

If I were Armstrong, I wouldn't bother posting to ZH. The 3G crowd (gold, guns, god) has already condemned him - the rest of us know where to find him, so what's the point, since it always devolves to a debate on his character, not the content of his analysis?
FWIW, I read him for information that may or may not be useful in forming my own opinion. I would never place my trust in him for the same reason I wouldn't trust anyone I don't know or have direct dealings with. By that rubric, I don't trust anyone who posts here, so the point is moot.
As for his analysis, I find the focus on capital flows and historic trends useful, and note that few others have taken that approach. However, his claim that the computer, not him personally, is responsible for the forecast is a bit suspect. The computer can only deal with the information it is given and the algorithms it has to sort the data, and for that you need human design and input, so you're back to square one.
Further, the degree to which I take a writer seriously depends not only on content, but on how well they express their thoughts. For example "The entire Syria strategy was to overthrow the government’s attempt to get a pipeline through to Europe to compete with Russia to reduce its economy with regard to the natural gas it sells to Europe." is almost incomprehensible unless you already have the background knowledge and are aware that Martin's tortured syntax is part of his overall style. It begs the question of whether his programming skills are similarly disjointed, which then casts doubt on the entire program. Not very professional IMO.
I am for the most part a fan of Mr. Armstrong. With that said I have concluded that Martin was a very good trader who knows NOT much about the market's direction and strength in advance. I believe that his market writings belie the same limits to prognosticating that myself and many other traders admit and accept. I would have liked to believe that his computer modeling spectacularly tags the future highs and lows over time. But, such isn't so. Nonetheless, he is always a great read--even if he seems to be compositionally-challenged.
If anybody runs out of money and suddenly comes with the idea that he/she should try to make a budget... it can only make me smile and walk away from them because it always ends in them asking for money.

The strategy of US and allies was to overthrow the Syrian government's attempt to get a pipeline through to Eurpoe to compete with the Russian gas pipeline. The result would be a reduction of Russia's economy with regard to the natural gas it sells to Europe.
That's what it means. You don't have to like it, but it makes a hell of a lot of sense to anybody who's paying attention to what's going on in the Middle East.

Go do it in community. Reality is that we survive as communities, and those have been ignored with the growth of gov. That is, I think, a lot of the base of problems. It certainly is not collectivism vs individualism as everyone wants to make it, rather we only function well as individuals within good groups, and those have been destroyed by modern institutions.
"Good groups" comprise many forms, we should be experimenting knowingly, instead the world has been crammed into the same institutional monoculture. Single-age groups are dumb, but we have organized the entire society that way, is one example.

I can never get this pipeline thing as a reason for the attack on Syria. They could and can always rout the pipe through Iraq rather than Syria and then into Turkey. Makes little or no difference. To me the Israelis' Yinon Plan represents a much more rational explanation for the warfare.

Then when I pointed out that he is doing just the same, as he buys and resells stuff, on the side in such a way that he should really not do... his reply was "I am not rich, I do not have lots of money, should I turn my activity in a legitimate business I would be broke".
This is not an isolated incident. This is what we have become... It will take time to fix ourselves before we can fix "the system". Unfortunately looking at reality, we did not even start to understand what the problem is... That gentleman was in Italy, but the USA is the same as most of the Western world. So... good luck with a revolution. A revolution is not going to fix the problem, it will simply change who is in power, not how power is used...

A major reason why the second statement is correct is that "to rethink the structure of government" would take far more profound paradigm shifts than people like Martin Armstrong are able and willing to consider. The State Militia are the lawful defender of the constitution and are a part defined by the document. No standing Army is defined except that one can be drawn up if necessary and funded for two years.
The government unlawfully changed and reorganized the Militia in the early 1900's. Unlawful because the only proper way to change the constitution is by amendment.
