Did Russia Just "Gently" Threaten The USA?

Tyler Durden's picture

Authored by The Saker,

Interesting stuff today.  A major Russian TV channel just aired a report about Putin meeting with his top military commanders.  I don’t have the time to translate what Putin said word for word, but basically he said that the USA had refused every single Russian offer to negotiate about the US anti-missile system in Europe and that while the US had initially promised that the real target of this system was Iran, now that the Iranian nuclear issue had been solved, the US was still deploying the system.  Putin added that the US was clearly attempting to change the world’s military balance.  And then the Russian footage showed this:

Status6

According to the Kremlin, it was a mistakenly leaked secret document.  And just to make sure that everybody got it, RT wrote a full article in English about this in an article entitled “‘Assured unacceptable damage’: Russian TV accidentally leaks secret ‘nuclear torpedo’ design“. According to RT

The presentation slide titled “Ocean Multipurpose System: Status-6” showed some drawings of a new nuclear submarine weapons system. It is apparently designed to bypass NATO radars and any existing missile defense systems, while also causing heavy damage to “important economic facilities” along the enemy’s coastal regions. The footnote to the slide stated that Status-6 is intended to cause “assured unacceptable damage” to an adversary force. Its detonation “in the area of the enemy coast” would result in “extensive zones of radioactive contamination” that would ensure that the region would not be used for “military, economic, business or other activity” for a “long time.” According to the blurred information provided in the slide, the system represents a massive torpedo, designated as “self-propelled underwater vehicle,” with a range of up to 10 thousand kilometers and capable of operating at a depth of up to 1,000 meters.

Actually, such ideas are nothing new.  The late Andrei Sakharov had already proposed a similar idea to basically wipe out the entire US East Coast.  The Russians have also look into the possibility to detonate a nuclear device to set off the “Yellowstone Caldera” and basically destroy most of the USA in one shot.  While in the early years following WWII the Soviets did look into all sort of schemes to threaten the USA with destruction, the subsequent development of Soviet nuclear capabilities made the development of this type of “doomsday weapons” useless.  Personally, I don’t believe for one second that the Russians are now serious about developing such system as it would be literally a waste of resources.  So what is going on here?

This so-called “leak” of “secret documents” is, of course, no leak at all.  This is a completely deliberate action.  To imagine that a Russian journalist could, just by mistake, film a secret document (helpfully held up for him by a general) and then just walk away, get it passed his editor and air it is laughable.  Any footage taken in a meeting of the President with his senior generals would be checked many times over.  No, this was a deliberate way to remind the USA that if they really are hell-bent on spending billions of dollars in a futile quest to create some kind of anti-missile system Russia could easily develop a cheap weapon system to still threaten the USA with total annihilation.  Because, make no mistake, the kind of long range torpedo being suggested here would be rather cheap to build using only already existing technologies.  I would even add that rather than setting such a weapon off the US coast the system could also be designed to fire off a secondary missile (ballistic or cruise) which could then fly to any inland target.  Again, such technologies already exist in the Russian military and have even been deployed on a smaller scale. See for yourself:

Coming back to the real world, I don’t believe for one second that any type of anti-missile system could be deployed in Europe to shield NATO the EU or the US from a Russian retaliatory strike should the Empire ever decide to attack Russia.  All the East Europeans are doing is painting a cross-hair on themselves as these will be the very first targets to be destroyed in case of a crisis.  How? By use of special forces first and, if needed, by Iskander missile strikes if all else fails.  But the most likely scenario is that key components of the anti-missile system will suddenly experience “inexplicable failures” which will render the entire system useless.  The Russians know that and so do the Americans.  But just to make sure that everybody got the message the Russians have now shown that even a fully functional and survivable US anti-missile system will not protect anybody from a Russian retaliation.

The sad thing is that US analysts all fully understand that but they have no say in a fantastically corrupt Pentagon.  The real purpose of the US program is not to protect anybody against a non-existing Russian threat, but to dole out billions of dollars to US corporations and their shareholders.  And if in the process the US destabilizes the entire planet and threatens the Russians – then “to hell with ‘em Russikes!  We are the indispensable nation and f**k the rest of the planet!”  Right?

Wrong.

What happened today is a gentle reminder of that.

This new torpedo’s range is 10,000 km (6,200 miles) and it can be launched from the submarines Belgorod and Khabarovsk.

Whether it was leaked by mistake or on purpose doesn’t really matter.

Ronald Reagan fooled the Russians with the SDI (Strategic Defense Initiative), but Star Wars-type weaponry was and still is nothing more than a neocons’ wet dream.

The long range torpedoes, on the other hand, have existed since the Soviet Union. The “Tsar Torpedo” or T-15, designed in the 80-s by the Rubin Institute, was 1.6 m (5 feet) in diameter and op. depth of 1,000 m (3,000 feet). The main goal of that monster was to create a tsunami, but without long-lasting effects of radiation on the targeted area.

The new system “Status-6” would turn huge coastal areas into a Fukushima/Chernobyl-like exclusion zones for centuries to come.

The neocons’ delirium is gonna get us all killed.

Fucking cock-sucking cunts!  ;-)

Undersea nuclear drones that will take out entire port cities and render them unusable for perpetuity?

“Accidentally” picked up by media present at a conference?

Eminently doable, but it’s an expense that has yet had a requirement.

Obama and crew are in the process of supplying the requirement.

I sense somebody learned a little lesson from Reagan’s “Star Wars”.

Hey O.. go send another 1,000 troops and armor to Eastern Europe or something so that they can go ahead and build this puppy.

Putin knows the US is on the verge of a financial collapse.

He also knows the republican debates are going on.  (no disrepect intended to real debaters)

Putin knows that to accelerate the financial demise of the US, he needs to lure/scare all candidates into committing 500 billion or so on a sub replacement program.

Perhaps it's just a big bluff to help sink the US financially.

Anti-ballistic missile systems have been operational since the 60s, and I don't doubt for a second there is a secret orbital ABM system in operation right now.  Even as inept as the Feds are, you can't dump tens of billions of dollars into a project over 50 years without coming up with something.  Shit, my dad was knocking down warheads with Safeguard (look it up) in the early 60s!  All of the failed "tests" are a smokescreen to cover the operational costs of the actual system.

No doubt the Chinese have something similar.

If so, they can take out all West Coast naval installations and more, and then send >1,000,000 soldiers to Alaska, BC, OR and WA.  Once they occupy the NW, it's game over, as all they have to do is a Demographic Invasion with civilians -- a la Muzzie invasion of Europe.  Good luck stopping 100,000,000 Chinese (mostly umarried men) rolling through, taking some "Lebensraum" -- just the way white men took it from the Natives.  Karma's a bitch:  What goes around...

Better learn to make peace now, or start learning Mandarin, bitchez.  But look at the bright side, all ye downtrodden American men: you'll get a chance to ditch your American Witch for a Chinese Wife.  Happy endings all around, except for Feminazis and Witches R US, who will learn from that German proverb: Work Liberates.

Yeah , we wanna invade the US so we can grab all those tungstone bars held at the Fed, oh yeah and while we are at it we're gonna pay their debt off at the same time , all so we can grab some nice female drug addict pussy ?How the fuck would the chinese even support 10k men on the march , an army marches on it's belly , there's barely enough food to feed the natives in china let alone have those kind of supply chains. The next war's will be currency wars , not foot soldier wars you muppet.

Friend, (I say this in a nice way): you need to be less dogmatic and one-dimensional, and get more informed.

Did you miss the part about "Lebensraum"?  That says it all, pretty much.  What part of "We want your land, so we can move people out of our country into yours" do you not get?  Ever read history?

As to the "How"... Conceptually it's not difficult, but is somewhat complex (but totally Do-able) at the operational and tactical level.  Conceptually, to prevent usage of tactical nukes, you simply create a Front that is too wide/long to be practical.  That's why you invade in overwhelming numbers, over a large area.  Your American toys and hubris will not save you.

And I'll let you in on a little open military secret that your Gov has not told you about:

The Chinese have organized their military troops to operate in units of 1,000 men, who have all the redundant skill-sets needed to operate self-sufficiently, w/o need of re-supply in the modern American/Western sense of JIT supplies.  They are like a self-sufficient town.  Now multiply these Units (of 1000) by tens of thousands, and then tell me how your conventional US Army or Preppers will stop them?  A: They won't.

Like I said... Better put your imperialist Neocon ways aside and make peace, or reap a bitter harvest.

You are claiming that an invasion of the U.S. by the Chinese, would allow American men to marry Chinese women?????  ("you'll get a chance to ditch your American Witch for a Chinese Wife")

Have you ever read a history book?  When an area is invaded, the men who are present are killed.  The invaders marry the local women.  Leaving aside the general likelihood of your invasion scenario, if there were one the white men would be killed and the invading Chinese men would marry white women.  Since there are so very few Chinese women, this would work out for the Chinese men.

There is a big difference. Europeans are unarmed.
Yes I know that lot of them think they are armed but the are not. In the US there are lot of people that can
equip a squad with semi-auto versions of military grade weapons just by opening up their gun safe. Some can probably equip a company.....and provide the ammo as well.

The Chinese take out our military and there will bee a whole lot of civilians taking them out as soon as they land.
They can try flooding us with civilians but those will get mowed down as well.

I might bitch about the government and things, but that is internal. Someone comes from the outside and I will fight them until they are defeated or I am dead.

Kiss goodbye to a 200 mile stretch of the east coast. Just a minor wave 50-150 feet high, 150 to 200 miles long. The USA would have 8 hours warning. Not that you can move your reactors in 8 hours or even shut them down to survive it.

This torpedo has a nuclear warhead over 100 Mega ton of explosive. It is sent to an enemy territory and then works as a gigantic mine. BTW, Reagan was no Leo Strauss acolyte. He never trusted the likes of GHWB, Cheney, Rumsfleld, Wolfowitz, PNACers, et al. His aim was to dismantle the Federal Reserve, the CIA, et al and stop this perpetual war machine.

Reagan and his 5 man five task force, formed before his first inauguration, foresaw this dilemma we see ourselves at this very nanosecond. The official plan was put in place under EO 12333 beginning in Dec. 1981 (Operation Stillpoint).

The first phase was completed with success via the General Agreement on Cooperation in 1990. This averted thermonuclear war with the USSR, that was even more likely between '85 and '90 than the Cuban Missile Crisis of '62. The event of '90 with the new Russian Federation was overshadowed deliberately by the MSM focus on the GHWB instigated Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

The next phase of Operation Stillpoint was Reagan's High Speed Rail (Mag-lev) CONUS system to begin construction in 1995. This would have rejuvenated the ailing steel and power industry that NAFTA, the year before would later seriously cripple. But difficult to do, when your primary financier is in jail since 1993 on bogus charges.

So who do we blame here at this very present? Wanta is out of jail. Has been since 2005. He has his 32.8 TRILLION. We blame WE THE PEOPLE for not attempting to get their collective heads out of their asses ..

If we are not the "consent of the governed," then WTF are we?!?

Yes, you are correct in that my aim here, is to light a fire under your et al collective asses, and help me spread the word. No fucking way my great nephew and niece are going to live under this collective shit we find ourselves at present on my watch!

Are you with me?

P.S. Fukushima was a nuke. As the same type/grade device (W54 pit modified) that was used at Tianjin this summer. That was used in Yemen, Syria, and the Ukraine. That was used on Twin Towers on 9/11. Yes, we do have scientific proof of all of these. As sure as the Russian A321 was brought down via an American made AIM120 missile fired by an Israeli F15 inside Israeli territory under guise of a joint NATO exercise inside Israel.

Neither the US nor Russia have publicly acknowledged or discussed the scientifically predicted long-term environmental consequences of nuclear war, which threaten to wipe out the human species.  The launch-ready nuclear arsenals of the US and Russia represent a self-destruct mechanism for the human race.

I do not think the Russian leadership wants to blow up the earth. The neocons could care less.

Most likely, Russia has systems to knock out the USSA systems first if the USSA Supreme Soviet orders a strike against Russia.

Actually, I would infiltrate Spetsnaz teams trained to act like Americans and have them activated when needed to jam up the USSA systems before the Zionists could launch anything.

Actually there have been several studies, one American one culminating in the book; Nuclear War Survival Skills by Cresson Kearny.

The fact is that in an all out nuclear exchange most people will learn of it from the media the following day.  People have some sort of hollywood notion ala On the Beach scenario occuring.

I don't want to trivialize the consequences of such but the fact is that most people on this planet will suffer economic hardship rather than physiological effects after such a war.   Human life will change and everyone will be affected.  If you live close to or downwind from a hardened military installation, that blinding flash of light will herald the end of your life whether it be measured in seconds or weeks.  Just remember most people on this planet do not live antwhere close to anything resembling such a target.  Yes, they will all be affected in some way but a doomsday cloud of radioactive fallout is science fiction.

This is understood by those who have the means or ability to use such weapons and it is why one would be foolish to assume such an exchange can never happen.

The only ground level detonations will be on hardened military targets, all other's will be airborn detonations designed to disable infrastructure and not necessarily to destroy it.  Day-2 onward would be a conventional warfare scenario.

US defense secretary threatens Russia and China

By Patrick Martin
9 November 2015

US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter delivered a pointed warning of future wars Saturday in an address to a forum at the Reagan Library in southern California. The reckless and provocative character of the Pentagon chief’s speech is underscored by the targets of his saber-rattling: Russia, with the world’s second largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, and China with the third.

The subject of the forum was the restructuring of the military-intelligence apparatus to deal with the threats that strategists for US imperialism anticipate in the coming years. As Carter noted, “After 14 years of counterinsurgency and counter-terrorism–two skills we want to retain–we are in the middle of a strategic transition to respond to the security challenges that will define our future.”

Giving only brief mention of the ongoing US wars in Afghanistan and against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Carter said he wanted “to focus my remarks this afternoon on another kind of innovation for the future, which is how we’re responding to Russia, one source of today’s turbulence, and China’s rise, which is driving a transition in the Asia-Pacific.”

What Neocons and War Hawks fail to fully understand, is the old Von Clausewitz gem: "War is diplomacy by other means"

To them, war is an end unto itself.  They are so over-fixated on their ambitions and agendas, that they fail to realize one crucial aspect:  At some point -- in an ever-escalation war with another super-power -- there comes a point of No Return, i.e. Nuclear Armageddon.  The medical joke "The patient is dead, but the operation was a success" applies to their mentality (of clinical insanity).  People like that cannot be cured.  They need to be euthanized, need to be "put down" (like a mercy-killing of a dog) and taken out of the gene pool entirely.

Unless enough people with brains, reason, maturity and courage step in, and intervene JIT, other lifeforms will replace humans.  If you're the type who believes that "There is intelligent life out there", i.e. sentient and advanced life that has survived its own Extinction Crisis, then they will be call it "The failed Human Experiment".

Alternatively, "Better for the Neanderthal gene to die within the human species, than for all mankind to perish".

That's LGBT to you. The good news is for the enemy, is their prisoners will do very nicely in captivity. The gay forces of America will just put down their guns, bend over, and show them a good time.

In all seriousness, America is a sitting duck. If Russia and China got together and made a plan, they could take over this country in less than a week. The jews who run everything will run for their lives (abandon ship), leaving the remaining stupified Americans, like deer frozen in the headlights, to wonder what is happening, and not knowing what to do.

Disarmed as we are, untrained, and disorganized. The rainbow military would surrender and Russia and China would divide the spoils.

Think it cant happen? Think again.

Our nation's domestic and foreign policy has been completely hijacked ny jews, and they must be expelled. this is a grave matter of national security. these twisted jewish freaks are the ones who have their finger on top of the red button to release nukes. these jewish freaks who care nly for the zionist objective are at the top of every department in the uSa. Americans have no control of their own country.

A story like this is a sober reminder that if we just sit by and let the jews do their dirty business and use the uSa for it, they wont care at all for the misery they cause. It wont matter to them to see the major cities in the uSa bombed into oblivion as a response to what they did in our name. They will just slip out the back door to a safe house in tel aviv or something while we watch our nation burn.

Next time I post, I will list all the jews in power posts all over the uSa. Names and faces. We are totally infested by jewish traitors.

Because the dipshits with their finger on the button don't understand nuclear deterrence, and refuse to be deterred.  They think they can win some nuclear war they start.

The problem is that the idiots in DC do not understand they can't be seen as the aggressor.  It's a key bit of war propaganda to have casus belli.  Now, they may think they are laying the groundwork for that and will spring it on Boobus Americanus Lusitania style, but this will not unite the country behind the Neo Con war party.

This was propbably meant to send a message to the "Troika of NATO Mad Dogs". The three Baltic Nations who are always at the forefront in the anti Russian campaign, both military, economic, social and media. Never left behind in fabricating the Russian invasion hovering on the other side of their peaceful borders.

Perhaps, with the Baltic request for mass accumulation of NATO front line military forces to be placed on the Russian border in permanent jumping off positions to cross into Russia, the Russians have decided to make clear what the Baltic's military desires would entail in real war.

The Russian Submarines could with relative ease neutralize NATO armed forces in the Baltics with this weapon. Now the Baltics can see what war means, perhaps the old system before the Kiev Junta came on the scene would be better. In the old system, Russia and the independent Baltics just shut up, kept peace on the borders, and Russia's 144 million person market accepted large imports from all the Baltics, keeping peole employed and earning money in the Baltics, while no threat of war was even hinted at. Trade was brisk, the borders were easy for families to cross, Balts could even go to St. Petersburg to find work.

With the Post Kiev Coup war fever gripping the Baltic politicians, whose eager desire to go to war may now be cooled off a bit by what war would do to them.

There is no option as neutral next to an aggressor. Balts has learned that the hard way - The Soviet Story (2008) subtitled. Balts as other small countries next to Russia where occupied for 50 years. People of Baltic states has learned – you can’t be neutral next to Russia. You have to be either puppet of Russia as Belarus or as Ukraine was till Maidan – or join free world of West. Yes, it may have some disadvantages – but in comparison to be putin regime puppet – it’s much better to be in EU and NATO. So what Batic states have done is asked for military build up – so that there are more NATO forces. As Balts see history repeating – once again tyrant has woke up next to them and started invasion in other countries – Georgia, Ukraine.

Russia is not want anything of Baltics. And why? Baltic "industry", so to speak, decrepit and ports crumbling. Intelligent Baltic people swarmed away to places of better opportunity. Remaining populations lacking skills, afflicted congenital Russophobia, cretinism, impaired mental health.

Even migrants of middle east know to bypass Baltics. Not wanted by any sane.

If Russia want Baltics, could take and with small effort and would be easiest part. More difficult then would need these populations to place on welfare and the Russian economy drains.

Please take the chlorpromazine.

In Internet slang, a troll (/?tro?l//?tr?l/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion,[3] often for their own amusement.
