Retail Stocks Are Crashing At The Fastest Pace In Over 4 Years

Tyler Durden's picture

The S&P Retail Sector ETF is down almost 9% in the last 8 days. That is the fastest collapse in this bellwether industry since August 2011... and it may be about to get a lot worse...

Retail is back to flash crash lows...

Its biggest 8-day drop since August 2011...

And it's about to get a lot worse...

So if all the jobs are in retail or food service, and if retail is crashing, how's the restaurant biz doing?

Yes, but are they crashing at the fastest pace since Lehman? That's the real litmus test.

What a fantastic time for Janet to lock in that December rate increase.  Her timing is exquisite.

In news from the home front, Mrs. Rainman appears to have NOT changed her obsessive-compulsive shopping habits one iota.

Buy 10 pairs of shoes, return 9 , keep 1

week after week, year after year

Insane !

Had a date.  Yaaa, yaaaa.  Danced in the elevator.  Yaaaa.  Yaaaa.  We're counting cards.  Yaaa, yaaa.

Lock Mrs, Rainman in closet.  Take away credit cards.  Yaaa, yaaa.  Bad!  Bad!  Yaaaa, yaaa.

Who buys anything?  The square root of driving a Honda + the first derivative of learning to do your own repairs = never buying a car again^2

You buy staples:  food, condoms, Jack Daniels, Oreo cookies & M&M's.  All else is unnecessary.

Save your doobage and wait for Hawaiian real estate to go on the block.

Long cash & puts and short EMs.

You need to find a more evironmentally friend woman (or man or whatever you are into).  With the right model they will just eat your children - no muss, no fuss.

Do it for the, uh, well, children?

Did Ben Carson really try to his his mother in the head with a hammer?

Did Hillary Clinton really try and join the Marine Corps?

Very odd people running for President..

This story would be better if Carson hit Hillary in the head with a hammer and his mother joined the Marine Corps.
