The March Of The Cry-Bullies

I like the fact that college students are angry enough to revolt against the massive debt being piled on their backs just because they want to get a college degree and a good job. They should be protesting because the expenses involved have gotten ridiculous. Then, if they do graduate, a great many of them can’t find employment. Too many are forced to remain living with their parents without a chance at the American Dream, which has now become just that—a dream.
Unfortunately, too many of these young people are also upset about ridiculous things. They are part of a hypersensitive, hyper-politically correct group known as ‘Social Justice Warriors.’
A few years ago when I first heard the term 'Social Justice Warrior,’ I wasn’t sure what it meant. I thought SJWs were doing some kind of noble, laudable work. I pictured them as volunteers at food banks. Maybe they were trying to help senior citizens get the prescription medicine they couldn’t afford. I pictured them trying to help the downtrodden in society. Instead, SJWs epitomize political correctness gone amuck. They are 'special snowflakes' who are also incredibly thin-skinned. They browbeat and scold others into giving up freedom of speech or expression. Want to wear a Halloween costume? You’d better check with the campus commissar of political correctness first. (Yes, the protesters want some sort of official on campus who will determine what can and cannot be said or done). Don’t want to date a tranny? What a hateful person you are!
Now we hear terms such as ‘micro-agression’ which can mean a tone of voice or expression that might cause slight discomfort to the recipient. Micro-transgressors are vilified, shamed and screamed at. Slights don’t even have to be real—they only need be imagined. Political correctness has now become a form of mass insanity. Do you still say ‘Merry Christmas?’ Watch out! Did you accidentally call a man from China a ‘Chinaman?’ OMG—look out for the pearl clutchers—you’re a horrible human being who needs to be shunned! It doesnt’ matter if the man from China was offended or not. He probably wasn’t. After all, he’s a man and he came from China.
What matters is YOU said the WRONG thing. During the Spanish Inquisition, people who said wrong things were labeled ‘heretics.’ A heretic was seen as someone who was contaminated with erroneous thinking. A heretic was going to go Hell. A heretic could be tortured because such a person had lost a connection with the omniscient church. Now that word is ‘racist.’ A racist can be scolded, driven out of jobs or forced to make a blubbering apology because they are no longer seen as connected with humanity. It doesn’t matter if the person is actually racist or not…all that needs to happen is for a SJW to perceive or imagine such a heinous transgression. It’s not only insanity, it can be amusing at times. The liberal scolds are now themselves being scolded by the generation they mollycoddled.
Please, SJWs, if you really want to do something useful, hold a mass protest calling for the end of the Federal Reserve. You’d be doing all races a favor. It’s also time to END the tyranny of ‘political correctness.'

About 15 years ago - out of the blue, it seemed - the phenomenon of "bullying" suddenly became the most egregious thing a human being could do. Bullying was further defined as not just hitting another but saying something another found in any way disturbing.
I am 60 years old, and recall that the cultural perception of "bullies" when I was young is that each one offered teachable moments. When one person tried to impose his will on another, you could choose to push back, or knuckle under. Eventually, you learned to fine-tune your response, pushing back when appropriate, knuckling under when there was no alternative (one should not, for example, argue with a man who has a gun, but other responses may work). No one stated this out loud, but there was a tacit understanding that bullies taught us how to be resourceful human beings, draw boundaries, and assert ourselves in intelligent, effective ways.
Denying the right to "bully" means creating a whole generation with zero ability to respond to challenge. I don't blame these coddled kids, who didn't choose to be coddled. I do blame their parents, who in fanatically smoothing their special snowflakes' paths, have set them up for a life of helplessness and misery. One hopes it's never too late to toughen up.
The problem is "the system" evolved to support bullies and make it impossible to fight back. If you chose to do the right thing and take the piss out of the bully, you suffered severe consequences to your "permanent record" that didn't exist in times past. The permanent record became a police record, and now we have a situation where little assholes get to run rampant.
The problem was never the bullies, it was the bigger bullies who used "the system" to destroy you. And now they have little asshole system spawn (LASSES? lol) going out and doing it openly, daring you to disagree.
This is the US Elitists' "Millenial" dream. These privileged kids are supposed to make it impossible to question anything the elitists want people to believe. This was always the endgame of "Political Correctness".

Everytime I read one of these posts I am not sure what to think of this issue, I wonder if I should get a normal job for a while and see what the hell everybody is talking about. I wonder what it would be like to have people walk around on egg shells around me, if that is indeed happening. My industry doesn't change much and if someone ran to tattle about bullying they would be out of a job (if they were lucky) real quick and good luck getting rehired if that type of reputation precedes you.
More likely they would get their head shoved up their own ass and nobody would be worried about a lawsuit because everyone would stick together, or at least that is why I assume nobody seems to worried about it.
I don't have too much trouble anymore but a couple of years ago I had a guy I work with threaten to run my truck off the road (only female, almost always have been), this type of thing has happened before, the last thought in my mind was to go and tell, I was making insane money and it was worth fighting for in my opinion. I told him he better get a bigger truck and that he may also want to invest in a bullet proof vest and I wasn't kidding. Was I scared... sure, but if you don't learn how to stand up to tyrants and psychopaths you'll end up one of these scared and pathetic individuals that are nothing but fodder.
I am not claiming to be some invincible badass because I have been beaten down enough to walk away from jobs before because there were too many of them and the environment was just too dangerous but I always ended up in a better spot, making more money and learned quite a few lessons in the process. I am proud that most of the time I held my own but I am also proud that while I may joke around and mess with people I never went out of my way to be cruel or evil to anyone either.

Blaming these students is morally and intellectually dishonest. These young adults are products of their parents's generation. Their attitudes and behaviors are not spontaneous; they are learned. If they have a sense of entitlement about their feelings, education, jobs, and lives, it is because it was instilled in them by us.
Just like the rest of the population, they have been fed on lies and propaganda. "America is good." "America is fair." "In America there is no discrimination."
