Futures Soar Into The Green On Furious USDJPY Ramp
Last night, after the news that the latest Japanese recession - its fifth in the past 6 years...
... was now in the history books, we had a simple question:
How is the BOJ not buying every USDJPY on this ridiculous news
— zerohedge (@zerohedge) November 16, 2015
And a follow up: how were futures also not soaring on this neo-Keynesian charade? For that, too, we had an explanation - the math PhD's in charge of the market were unavailable on Sunday night to "calibrate" the algos.
It will take the 21 year old math phd's at DE Shaw a few hours to reprogram the signals https://t.co/FloZsyUWMD

Well, it appears they finally got called into office, and just as Europe opened for trading, the USDJPY experienced an unprecedented 60 pip move on the usual complete lack of any news, just more BOJ intervention and HFT momentum ignition, which in turn was quickly "goalseeked" by the media as the result of more hopes for imminent Japanese easing.
And after being MIA for a few hours early in the session, the HFT programmers finally woke up, and the E-Mini, after its initial brief dip below 2000, is now about 25 points higher on the usual catalyst: newsless, low volume levitation, central bank buying and HFTs momentum.

We expect the BOJ's infamous favorite level of USDJPY 123 to be tagged shortly, at which point further gains may be problematic as not even algos can justify dramatic multiple expansion when the world economy is sliding into, if not already in, recession.

Fuckin farcical
Naturally problematic hopes end in failure also.
Not to change the subject from this shiny object being held up for the world to look at BUT...todays the day a certain organization who's namesake is a candidate for president of the US has to resubmit ten years worth of documents because of "tax irregularities"...lets keep our eye on the ball.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming ;-)
Not to worry,,, Those famous folks that worked on a certain birth certificate have been working furiously on those documents.
Of course. France is bombing the hell out of Isis which means more new bombs AND reconstruction are needed which is awesome for the world economy. There ya go.
We should all go out and brake a window, I did. (No need to thank me)
Krugman will be delighted.
Things break better in a beamer, BMW, Break My Windows ___
And they still can't understand while mom and pop don't want to put money into this rigged farce
" ...the USDJPY experienced an unprecedented 60 pip move on the usual complete lack of any news..."
That's because news doesn't drive markets, money does ! Money is the news. Focus on the money and the news will follow, or it won't. But that's irrielvant , because ? " money drives the markets " .
Try to keep up!

Oh my, now what was it that happened in Europe? I've forgotten what with this unusual change in USDJPY.
(thank you CBs, everything is Ok over there , right?)
Something about microaggressions in safe zones I think?
It happened on a Friday, so by Monday, it clearly no longer matters because of mush minds and goldfish like memories.......
I regret that is not really sarcasm...........
simple stuff, just numbers representing value of paper that is transitory.
what is real is what a dolla buys in the marketplace.
question i have, is it real? (drill in hand), ha...
real as in food, china shit ect.
Consumer costs for small business labor are through the roof, that's all you need to know.
Yet small businesses can't make a buck. Testament to an environment where costs are huge but profits slim. Where's all the money going? Inflation, taxes, regulatory compliance, monopoly rents in banking, utilities, health care, etc.
Sushie is still Americans fav food .
Ok, the HFT's have done their job, they can go back to bed. The PPT can handle it from here. The MM's will spend the day explaining how WWIII started without affecting the markets at all.
BTFNuking
Well, at least we have plenty of wars to go around during these troubled times.... The Machine is focused and true to its purpose.
shocking
The only time these central banks lose control is when there is a currency crisis.
Until then, no free markets.
Not even a fake Terriost Attack can stop this party? There seems to be some very sick people in control.
LOL...
FUCK YOU FUCKING FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
who could have seen this ramp coming, it's miraculous
