Explosion, Fire Reported At Chinese Chemical Factory (Again)
Here we go again.
Count us incredulous at this point (and we're sure we aren't the only ones), but it looks as though there has been yet another explosion at a Chinese chemical facility, this time in Liaoning.
The blast triggered what looks like a sizable fire and the cause is under investigation. Allow us to speculate: either some factory owners with Party connections were able to skirt safety restrictions again possibly leading to the catastrophic loss of life and the release of untold pollutants into the air and water or else someone had some excess inventory they needed to vaporize.

There seems to be an awful lot of static in the air in China these days (and that one that appeared possibly retaliatory in Japan). Is it an inventory issue or a currency/financial war issue? They just were accepted to a currency basket recently were they not? That should settle things down on the financial front for now wouldn't it?
I give up. At least the explosions are over there for now and we don't have jackboots kicking in our doors as in France.

How many industrial chemical plants does China have compared to other nations. How much has been invested in plant safety compared to other nations. How high is China's accident rate on a percentage basis compared to other nations. Such bases of comparison kinda matter when assessing whether 6 explosions is a lot or a little.

its a way of reducing the glut of commodities that the speculative shadow banked world cannot sell. They hope to pick up insurance cover or be able to tell the sellers "sorry but we can't pay you the total sum, -- (if they are on a financially leveraged scheme via bank loans)-- as those commodities were destroyed. You know what, this could of just been a genuine accident, I don't think all the recent explosions at ports, chemical factories around China lately have been just 'accidents' but this one could of been. The Chinese aren't known for their health and safety regulations!
I recently had new A/C units installed (Well in 2 bedrooms, anyway) I live on the top floor of my building (top two actually, it's a 2 floored apartment, yeh, I know, fancy eh?) anyhow...25th floor, I asked my wife (Chinese, yeh, I live in China....so what?) How will the guys coming round to fit them do the outside work, I imagined they'd have some sort of contraption that lowers them down from the roof (Like on the tower blocks, skyscrapers in the U.S. when the guys are cleaning the windows) This wasn't the case. The two guys came round, drilled the hole for the pipe to go outside, fitted the inside part, then one of them climbed out of the window and stood on the 4 inch ledge while the other guy held on to his belt!! I am deadly serious here. The guy on the outside started his drilling, and prepping....at this stage I went out for a walk...I couldn't watch. When I arrived back home this missus was complaining that she had to pay the guys extra because it was dangerous work...total cost for fitting two A/C units, while hanging off a 4 inch ledge 25 floors up.....200rmb, which is about $30, or $15 dollars each for the two guys...

Anyway, that's my little true story, so am I surprised that a chemical factory blows up.....Not at all!

Well the calendar has been quiet lately ... there havent been any big explosions in China for at least 3 weeks. until now.
If it was sabotage - you'd think that Chinese police would be conducting major roundups and investigations.
If it is insurance fraud, you would think that major criminal rings would be arrested.
the fact that Chinese authorities have done NOTHING much of anything ... is very interesting.
