American Police Kill 3 People Per Day, Over 1000 So Far In 2015

The Guardian’s effort to track fatal shootings by American police, known as ‘The Counted,’ reached the 1000 mark this week. With an average of more than three Americans shot and killed by police per day, this shocking statistic should be a wake-up call to the gun-toting vigilante justice that’s being trained into United States police forces.
In a country where its citizens are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, the nation’s police force operates as the judge, jury, and executioner at least three times a day by taking the lives of citizens without significant accountability for their actions.
The United States government and U.S. citizens have never before had a comprehensive record of the number of people killed by law enforcement. Former U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder described the absence of a National data collection system to track fatal police shootings as “unacceptable.”
Until journalists began tracking fatal police shootings this year, the only way that information was collected was by a ‘voluntary’ program run by the FBI through which law enforcement agencies may or may not choose to submit their annual count of “justifiable homicides,” which it defines as “the killing of a felon in the line of duty.”
Between 2005 and 2012 just 1,100 of America’s 18,000 police agencies chose to voluntarily report a “justifiable homicide” to the FBI.
For comparison, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, 35 Police Officers have died on the job in firearm-related incidents in 2015.
Saudi Arabia, known worldwide for its public beheadings, executed only 90 people in the entire year of 2014 according to reports by Amnesty International, when an average of over 90 people are killed by American police forces every 30 days.
To further put the scale of this crisis into perspective, as the world rushes to war over the tragic deaths of 129 people killed earlier this week in Paris, United States police forces kill that many American citizens about every 40 days.
The crisis is clear. The United States trains its police officers to act as public executioners with a laundry list of worn out excuses and aggressive police unions at the ready to battle any public backlash and assist Officers with avoiding accountability for their actions.
A complete dismantling and total reconstruction of current policing systems seem the only available answer.

Prize breading bull gets out of fence and wanders onto road. ID is open range, doesn't mean they are walking around the road but it means they can be and if you hit someones livestock you are paying the rancher. Sometimes they get out and the state won't pay to fence the road off.
So the bull gets hit by a car. What is protocol is the rancher is called and he humanely puts the animal down, shot to back of head.
So this is a two ton Angus Bull that had its leg shattered and is crazy and in pain, now charging people.
Dispatch for Sheriff calls the rancher, 6pm he is eating dinner. 62 yr old rancher life long resident, married to woman he knew as a child. They worked their whole lives, he logging, to pay for this place. Comes down and the sheriff's deputy are shooting this bull with AR 15 and M16 but they are firing into his belly and he is suffering. Bull stumbles to the driveway knowing he is home and lies down in the grass. According to the family he is going to put the bull down, his wife brings a shot gun and the cops go crazy seeing a civilian with a gun and shoot him dead with several rounds. Wife and nephew are put face down on the road and handcuffed. Wife 63 has massive heart attack right there and is air lifted to Boise.
Sheriff won't say if they had body cams. Sheriff ran as pro 2nd amendment, then after he won began seizing guns and selling them. Sheriff was trained by Dept of Homeland Security who is trained by the Anti Defamation League.

I would not diminsh the causes of death you mention. However, these causes of death are not directly related to the actions of public employees. When a cop breaks the law and abuses a citizen, the credibility of the state is degraded.

Fenwick is reportedly still in critical condition at a hospital in Louisville.
“We are glad that he is white, and we shouldn’t have to be worried about that. We do not want any backlash or violence in this community because people have been misinformed,” he said. “I think that the public needs to know how the criminal justice system works and what officers are able to do. And the media has not done a very good job of informing the public.”
The sheriff vowed to be transparent about the investigation into the shooting and reiterated that they “don’t want those type of troubles in our community,” referring to recent cases that have sparked violent protests.

The answers are readily available, it's just the politicians wont implement them. Police unions must be neutered politically. Cops must be held accountable for every round that leaves their weapons, they must NOT get taxpayer-funded paid time-off during investigations of their use of lethal force, and jury awards related to reckless endangerment, manslaughter, assault, and murder MUST come from individual insurance policies held by every cop. Finally, there need to be strong laws on the books prohibiting any cop from escalating to the use of lethal force any situation that MIGHT have been handled less violently.

The writer of this article is out of touch. You are now known to be guilty and you may not be able to prove your innocence because the system is stacked against you. Believe me I know....been there....done that. The police and judicial system are not totally to blame. Since 9/11 they have gotten a weekly if not daily ration of the enemy is here. Phoenix just got a federal grant to hire 300 new cops. They did a such good job of framing that redneck kid for the freeway shootings that no one has noticed that the attacks continued after he was arrested or that he has proven that his gun in pawn during one of the shooting dates (so cops changed the date). A. Deaths causes by Doctors... e.g.. Bad/erroneous Rx Prescriptions, and Surgical Instruments left inside, etc.
B. Swimming Pool deaths of toddlers and young children, especially in the sun-belt states (FL, TX, NM, AZ, CA).
C. Black-on-Black deaths (in inner cities, and drug related) -- which ZH already covered.
D. Drug OD's -- for legal and illegal drugs
E. Jihadists terrorist attempt in TX, and outcome (Hint: Don't mess with Texas!)
F. Watching an episode of Hannity, O'Reilly, etc. -- If that doesn't make you pop an artery...

From what I can tell from here in Australia - even balanced cops would be killing at least 1 per day in the US. That place is a basket case. I'm suprised it's as low as it is.
