5 Myths Regarding the Paris Terror Attacks
As usual, the politicos and talking heads are all talking their own book, using the Paris terror attacks to push their own agendas.
As shown below, they’re spouting nonsense.
Mass Surveillance Won’t Help
The NSA and other spy agencies are pretending that the Paris attacks show that we need more mass surveillance.
But the New York Times correctly points out in a scathing editorial that mass surveillance won’t help to prevent terrorism:
As one French counterterrorism expert and former defense official said, this shows that “our intelligence is actually pretty good, but our ability to act on it is limited by the sheer numbers.” In other words, the problem in this case was not a lack of data, but a failure to act on information authorities already had.
In fact, indiscriminate bulk data sweeps have not been useful. In the more than two years since the N.S.A.’s data collection programs became known to the public, the intelligence community has failed to show that the phone program has thwarted a terrorist attack. Yet for years intelligence officials and members of Congress repeatedly misled the public by claiming that it was effective.
In reality, top security experts agree that mass surveillance makes us MORE vulnerable to terrorists.
Indeed, even the NSA has previously admitted that it’s collecting too MUCH information to stop terror attacks.
Encryption Isn’t What Made Us Vulnerable
The spy agencies are also pretending that encryption made it impossible to stop the attacks.
But the Washington Post reports:
Several French outlets reported last night that a smartphone recovered near one of the massacre sites was not encrypted at all.
***
Hours after the attacks in Paris, Forbes quickly pointed to remarks by a Belgian official who said that Islamic State militants use the PlayStation 4's chat functions as a way to communicate securely. The article also mentioned that a Sony PlayStation 4 was recovered in a police raid connected to the Paris investigation.
That report was later undermined by the real facts — that no PlayStation 4 had been collected and that the Belgian official had been talking about the use of PlayStation technology generally by terrorism suspects.
But it was too late. Reports spread across the news industry tying the PlayStation to the attacks (there is a second wave of stories sweeping the Internet trying to undo the damage).
Tech Dirt notes:
Most of the communications between the attackers was conducted via unencrypted vanilla SMS:
“…News emerging from Paris — as well as evidence from a Belgian ISIS raid in January — suggests that the ISIS terror networks involved were communicating in the clear, and that the data on their smartphones was not encrypted.
European media outlets are reporting that the location of a raid conducted on a suspected safe house Wednesday morning was extracted from a cellphone, apparently belonging to one of the attackers, found in the trash outside the Bataclan concert hall massacre. Le Monde reported that investigators were able to access the data on the phone, including a detailed map of the concert hall and an SMS messaging saying “we’re off; we’re starting.” Police were also able to trace the phone’s movements.
The reports note that Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the “mastermind” of both the Paris attacks and a thwarted Belgium attack ten months ago, failed to use any encryption whatsoever (read: existing capabilities stopped the Belgium attacks and could have stopped the Paris attacks, but didn’t). That’s of course not to say batshit religious cults like ISIS don’t use encryption, and won’t do so going forward. Everybody uses encryption. But the point remains that to use a tragedy to vilify encryption, push for surveillance expansion, and pass backdoor laws that will make everybody less safe — is nearly as gruesome as the attacks themselves.
7 of the 8 Terrorists Were Known to U.S. or French Intelligence Agencies
Just as with 9/11, the Boston marathon bombings, and other recent attacks, governments are pretending “it wasn’t foreseeable”.
But CBS reports that law enforcement sources say that 7 of the 8 terrorists were known in advance to U.S. or French intelligence services.
The New York Times confirms:
Most of the men who carried out the Paris attacks were already on the radar of intelligence officials in France and Belgium, where several of the attackers lived only hundreds of yards from the main police station, in a neighborhood known as a haven for extremists.
Escalating War Against ISIS Is Not the Only Option
I’m all for killing members of ISIS.
But given that the U.S. and its close allies – Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar and Bahrain – are massively supporting ISIS, stopping the arming, feeding and logistical support is even more important if we want to stop these crazies.
None of the Terrorists Were Syrian
None of the Paris terrorists were Syrian. All of them were European nationals.
The German Interior Minister suggests that the Syrian passport found at the scene of the terror attacks was a “false flag” by ISIS meant to force countries to seal their borders against further refugees.
Why would they do this? Numerous security experts suggest that refugees fleeing ISIS’ “Caliphate” is a PR disaster for ISIS. After all, happy fundamentalist Muslims wouldn’t flee utopia, would they?
But we do take the risk of infiltration of refugee groups by terrorists very seriously. Indeed, the Telegraph reports today:
The mastermind of the Paris attacks was able to slip into Europe among Syrian migrants, it emerged last night, as police on the continent admitted they are unable to monitor thousands of suspected jihadists.
***
It has emerged that Abaaoud, and at least two of the Paris terrorists took the migrant route via Greece, intensifying fears that terrorists are able easily to exploit the refugee crisis to get to Europe.
Specifically, many of the Paris terrorists were European nationals who went to fight for ISIS in Syria, and then they slipped in with the refugees coming from Syria to get back into Europe.
So those saying that the civilians fleeing war and mayham in Syria are all terrorists are wrong … but so are those saying that the massive refugee flow poses no danger.

We have to have the holiday's before we can see if they're happy or not.
Funny how messages appear differently when I am signed in comparison to when I am not signed in.
There is a lag or editing process going on.
I suppose that there is anticipation that there will be a shooting war caused either controlling forces or between the controlling forces and their minions and the balance of humanity.
That is why all the fear porn in the media and most likely why Congress is planning an extended break next summer.
The real answer is prayer. Prayer is not about religeon. It is about relating to the part of the world that we cannot see. Seek and ye shall find. Ask and ye shall recieve. The world seems programmed to react to our requests.
George ... I guess this is where the rubber meets the road and you get to show who you really are and who you represent. There have been events where people have been killed and there have been completely staged events where no one has been harmed. The growing consensus in the non-mainstream world has been that regardless, these events have all been organized and run from the same source as part of a larger plan.
The growing consensus is also that there is a war on and that war is not really human in nature. (the growing consensus could be wrong and that would mean that it serves some other purpose). But lets assume for a minute that the growing consensus is correct because all of the pieces make sense then.
1. The war is between non-human demonic forces that have their origin outside of our three dimensional plane of existence and humans. They use us as slaves and food, but there are so many of us that normal means of control have been difficult for them. You see, there are supposedly only about 200,000 demons controlling a planet of 7 billion humans. They are faced with two choices, develop better control systems or kill off a large percentage of the population.
2. The world is not exactly what it seems to the uninitiated (and I include myself in that). It appears as a static realm that we have no influence over. The growing consensus is that it is not s static realm it is programmable by its inhabitants. "Seek and ye shall find" and "Ask and ye shall recieve" are not simply sayings. Prayer works and I can attest to that.
3. As with similar programmable game simulation we have in our computers, there are programs that run things and there are users, super-users, gamemasters, programmers and a creator Each has different powers to affect the game.
4. The demons who act as gamemasters are supposed to be here for the users, but they broke away and used their gamemaster powers to become superusers within the game... but they retain their gamemaster powers. They have used their gamemaster powers to give users loyal to them special privileges and power. They also hid the rulebook for the game from the users by destroying the old libraries and they modified the limited surviving books (such as the Bible, which does retain mostly truth) to benefit them.
5. The thing is that the programming of the world is such that it and its programmers and creator can be communicated with directly, bypassing the gamemasters/demons) and the programming can be influenced. It is difficult for one person to influence large parts of the programming, but many can.
The result is that people are now waking up to the fact that they can pray for changes, most commonly to get rid of the bad controlling influences on earth, so that we can live a life more suitable to humans and not be murdering each other under false pretense.
The demons will obviously lose if 7 billion work against them. Is 10% enough? Maybe. A question is whether, when faced with the fact that their benefactors are demons bent on the enslavement, retardation and ultimate destruction of humanity will those who have been working for them wake up, give up their entitlement to the demon bestowed benefits and align themselves with humanity? People will have to wake up to the fact that their paradigms are lies, which is hard. But, William Casey supposedly said "we will know when our disinformation campaign is successful when everything people believe is a lie"... and he was seemingly murdered for revealing so much.
Under the above understanding of our world, everything falls into place ... the shadow government/deep state, the banking empire, chemtrails, the MSM, false flags, constant wars, how logical and physical distance and properties can be different, vaccines and GMOs, UFOs ... etc.
prayer hasn't worked for me, but certain other rituals have. you bravely refer to what i call "non human intelligence". if you'd left 'the' 'bible' out of it , i might take it more seriously. but thanks, gramps, for reminding people of the hidden reality.
Your scaring the crap out of me with that demonic stuff Gramps. I think it sounds batshit but then I look at Kissinger and McStain and I'm like..... Ohhhhhhh shit! Maybe psychopaths don't have souls.
Prayer works? Who are you praying to, are you sure they're not the ones behind it, if your assertion is correct? You dont even know that. Its like people who sign up for Reiki classes and they wind up having absolutely no idea what sort of entities they are interacting with or asking favors from. And the Bible, like all of the greatest lies ever told, does contain mostly truth....but that's the rub aint it.... once again can you tell what is false and what is not? There's no such thing as spiritual welfare, gramps. You dont ever quite know what that "deal with the devil" is going to require on the other end now do ya?
No, I do not. I know nothing for certain. I only have my experiences. Maybe someday I will tell that story and why I believe. To most, without a common frame of rerference, it would seem unbelievable or delusional
... and yes, prayer works. Our minds have the ability connect with something "higher?" that we cannot see, touch, hear or smell with our normal senses. This is something that they do not want us to know.
Maybe the answer is to only direct your prayers to the good and only ask for good, not greed or harm etc. As I said, I really do not know anything for certain. I only have my experiences.
and last but not least, hail george carlin

I hear ya...my story's too jacked up to be believable. And its tough to convey things perceived directly with consciousness and not through the senses...most people only understand things perceived with the senses. Your heart's in the right place.
sure prayer can work...but...well I'll leave a video or two to say what I dont really know how to express properly at the moment.

W.t.f.?!
Grandad Grumps.....
You lost me when you got to the religious shit......
OK, fair enough. The Bible says that the day is coming where nobody can buy or sell w/o some "mark" on their hand or forehead. Do you sense we are moving closer or farther away from that prophecy becoming feasible? Have you become aware of how heavy the push for a cashless society is getting? My point is that the surveillance and data harvesting in society isn't about terrorism and really never was. Terrorism ('specially the false flag kind) is a means to an end. Some of us just happen to believe that "religious shit" is involved in that end.
Here is a hot news flash for ya. Most of the world is like that right now. The way it's done is if you run up the right flag...the heavens open for you. Run up the wrong flag and your world turns to poop. No credit...no medical and so forth. Thailand has socialized medical. Support the right group and you are taken care of. Support the wrong group and you are on your own. As God is my witness this government is in the process of doing this here. There has always been some but now it's wide spread and growing by the day. I was just thinking...I guess freedom means moving north....way north but then you would be letting them win.
It is where faith and science meet in the construction of the world we live. It really has nothing to do with religion.
There is a saying in the alternative community.
Young souls look to "ritual" for answers (these are the answers given to us by others)
Mature souls look to technology
Old souls look inside themselves
No one can deny that we cannot explain how we exist or why or where. To our minds it is impossible. We can create parallel examples of similar situations, such as being inside a computer game. It has a similar look and feel, but many, many times more complex and real feeling. Yet, even if we are in a multidimensional MMRPG, we cannot explain the computer or how it was created, just by observing through our senses and using our reasoning power.
Did you know that scientists say that if all of the space was taken out within molecules and between them and all of the spaceless matter was compressed together for the entire world, our entire world would be the size of a baseball. The vast majority of our world is constructed of electromagnetic fields.
We exist because people like to screw...one grampa to another.
Yes, and we don't really have free will. http://tinyurl.com/cym3hsk
"Yet, even if we are in a multidimensional MMRPG, we cannot explain the computer or how it was created, just by observing through our senses and using our reasoning power."
Arthur C Clarke once stated that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." I would extend that to describe the limits of human intelligence when contemplating the nature of reality.
Any sufficiently complex natural phenomenon is indistinguishable from divinity.
That is not, however, to say that there is a god, simply that having reached the limit of our ability to comprehend the world we substitute "god" for understanding.
The fundamental driving principle of all living beings is to survive, the method employed being to manage uncertainty (MU). Once a living being attains a state of sufficient consciousness (a product of the natural MU tendency) it confronts a conundrum: awareness of the absolute certainty of its demise.
As I understand it, this awareness is the driving force behind all spiritual endeavors, i.e. the desire to transcend our own mortality.
With that in mind, I pose the question: If you knew beyond doubt, with no resort to faith, that a world beyond ours awaits, how would you conduct yourself in this world? Would it change anything, or would you continue to do the things you do with no expectation of reward?
Neverland:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf6z4jHNrSY
Those who see beyond the workings of the mind see the truth of being. There is no reward for an individual in "after-life". Why? Because all individiuality disappears upon physical death or self-realization in this "life". It's like a drop of water falling back into the ocean, there is no more "drop", only water. So we as drops of consciousness fall back into what we always were, pure consciousness. This is what all the spiritual "masters" point to. They also say that there is not "a god", there is ONLY God. Everything. It may not seem this way to the mind. Dropping the mind in a state of silence is akin to escaping the matrix. For more on this see http://www.helsinki.fi/~papinnie/matrix.html
I cannot say for sure. The family I was born into did not have a religeon, but did not need one to be fair, moral and ethical. I think that humans know how they should react.
Later in life I took on a religion to try and help me, but it alone did not solve any issues.
I am also not sure about the concept of karma.
"None of the Paris terrorists were Syrian."
I know you are above this GW, but this is bordering on straw man argumentation. True? Yes. Misleading? Also yes. The counter-strategy here being one of anticipating that ISIS will plant operatives (Syrian or otherwise) within the group of expat refugees. C'mon. You surely get this.
He's road testing for a new religion. Why not? Maybe it's time for fresh concepts etc. The ones we have have been a disaster for a few thousand years. Most of the religious geniuses went into the forest for a decade and came out with a new book. The Koran doesn't preach violence? Gee...maybe some of you should read it. Find a religious book that don't. I always wanted to set down a dozen chimps with typewriters and see if one would produce a new bible. The Native Americans in the mountains of New Mexico will take your breath away with their knowledge of the universe and how they see mankind fitting in it. Apparently they are not to be listened to.
Long live all the believers!
It is the typical Geo Wash style to mislead. He has previously written that no one should be bothered to check any Muslim. They are members of the religion of peace. I have not looked for this article of his but it is likely that he copied much of the material from Before It Is News. Wonder he did not include some UFO information to make the theory complete.
the GOP has been making this argument about mexicans crossing illegally for years. they provide cover for jihadists. at least anecdotally there are instances where the mexicans crossing the border pointed out people who didn't belong and the police arrested them. in the case of Syrians its all too muddled and these people are real refugees. eventually a Syrian will be arrested, count on it.
What I do not understand is why would a Syrian of Islamic faith want to come to the USA. There are so many wonderful countries where Islam thrives, where peace loving, kind, and welcoming Muslims are waiting with open doors and local Mosques ready to take them.
The Islamic State of Iran. A wonderful country of Allah fearing, faithful, good Muslims wants them. Saudia Arabia, a bastion of Islamic faith is there with doors open. Indonesia another one of Allahs bleesed nations wants them.
Why go to Europe or America where racist ant- Islamic assholes live? Why? Why? Why?
Maybe not Iran, as sooner or later we will blow it up, .Far better oprions are malaysia ( great place) orIndonesia - the biggest muslim population of all.
The generous welfare systems?
Most politicians have turned against their people and need to be voted out.
A simple solution would be to let the (OK repressive and sometimes barbaric) regimes of Syria and Iran, with Iraq, and with a new state of Kurdistan fully control that territory - it might not be pretty or democratic, but there would be no place in it for Al Qauida or Isis.
And the regime of the US (and that of the West in total) is NOT barbaric?
Funny how the most secular countries of the ME have been systematically turned in to, or looking to turn in to, theocracies (or have been strongly sent in that direction). First it was Iran (overthrow of Mosaddegh), then Afghanistan (the start of US intentional militarization of religious fanatics), to toss out the USSR), then Iraq, then Libya and now Syria. You'd almost think that there was some plan behind all of this...
“We’re going to take out seven countries in 5 years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran” (http://www.globalresearch.ca/we-re-going-to-take-out-7-countries-in-5-ye...)
As far as a "Kurdistan" goes, how about we stop fucking nation-building? Fuck, when GWB was running for office he was AGAINST it, then when he was POTUS he was FOR it. Seems that no one can stop from poking their/our hands in all of it. But, I agree, let them all work it out. Stop sending "aid" over there (that includes Israel!).
George W. changed because the game plan was revised to raid the treasury which him and the boys did an extremely good job of. The amount of money they ran off is mind numbing. I used to wonder if he meant to buy his own continent or something. He made off enough to make 100 generations wealthy. How do people get so lost?
The democrats will be an economic disaster. The republicans in will mean war. Please be aware Obama can declare an emergency at will and thus then be ruler until he lifts the emergency. Damn our future is bright.
He was "for" nation building? Can you direct me to one he built?
He was "for" nation destroying. As evidence I offer any nation he ever touched. Same with Obama.
That's how you build a "greater israel". Look it up.
There is no longer any such thing as regime of Iraq, circa Sykes–Picot. That Churchillian fabrication is dead. Quoth the raven: Nevermore.
what you never hear discussed is the way to stop terrorism (nice little invention for the 21st century, btw) is to change the policy that leads to it. But then that leads to the same old circular issue: defining the source of the terrorism. ... I was daydreaming that one particular country and 2 major cities were attacked, and completely wiped out. Problem solved.
"(nice little invention for the 21st century, btw)"
Actually, if you were a student of history you would know, this is an old tired game started long before the 21st century. Scaring the hell out of the populace for ulterior goals is centuries old.
The sage of Baltimore, H.L. Mencken, wrote in the 1920s,
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
He also wrote the following,
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”
Adolf Hitler once said, that the best he could wish for, after the war is over, is 20 years of guerrilla warfare in German cities. This would keep fear at high levels and the German people awake.
I believe him. Keep your sheep at the toes and at max tension, to better control and direct them.
Hell, he would have probably created Guerrilas himself.
"terrorism (nice little invention for the 21st century, btw) "
You might want to check your history books on that comment.
Myth Number one,
America is at war with ISIS....
Myth Number two,
NSA is spying on Americans, without a warrant, to look out for Terrorists....
If we were at war with ISIS, why were the targets France hit not hit before last week?
and why were their oil tankers lined up like ducks in a row for the shooting and went on untouched, until Putin got involved?
Lastly, If the NSA is spying to locate terrorists and save us, how is it the Paris Terrorists were already known and yet left in the streets to kill?
Myth number 10 - Allah is not a pimp.
US had no intention of seriously damaging ISIS. That game may now be more difficult
Can't be that difficult to,
not supply their weapons...
Who's buying their oil, by the way,
likely a NATO "Alley"?
Find a couple of comments by PavewayIV from two days ago. All will be explained.
The puppet-master is funding it all. And the US taxpayer funds the puppet-master.
Tarzan,
More importantly: how are the transactions being handled? What banks are involved?
For a good movie based on BCCI plaese see: The International.
But, but, but... that would be impossible in a cashless society.
(sarc)
Tarz:
" how is it the Paris Terrorists were already known and yet left in the streets to kill? "
I think the answer that European leaders wish to keep unknown to the public, is that there are so many jobless, welfare consuming Muslims with hate on for Western culture, that they don't know where to begin.
K
Which explains how a disgruntled jobless young Arab Women can, in the matter of a couple months, be brainwashed into giving her life for a religion she does not follow, nor has any idea what it stands for.
Unless you consider club hopping, alcohol and marijuana consumption, and half naked selfies in the bath tub, Sharia compliant...
Security agencies are blowing too much money on gadgets and software. Not increasing the number and effectiveness of human assets. Terrorism? There's an app for that. No. It takes intensive infiltration. Humans amongst humans. Cultivating contacts, finding connected friendlies.
Security agencies are dumping ever growing piles of hay on the already elusive needles. Too much for people to sift through. So of course, get more computing power and software to sort it out for you. To generate more false leads, faster. Meanwhile, there are few quality personnel to keep an eye on the badguys they actually know about.
I suppose it is another case of kickback contract BS. Some companies probably have an in at the agencies. Selling ever more gadgets and software for billions, some of which probably greases some palms. Then the security agency guys can leave and go to those companies and sell some more crap to their old buddies.
Infiltrating Muslims? Tell us how.
The CIA and mossad are already pretty good at it. Look at ISIS, and Al Quaida.
With other Muslims. There are more than a billion of them to recruit from.
