"It Looks Like A Warzone" - Army, APCs, Roadblocks Deployed In Brussels After Explosives, Chemical Weapons Found

Tyler Durden's picture

In the aftermath of last night's warning of an "imminent" terror threat in Brussels when OCAM Crisis Center and the government raised the country's terror alert to the highest level, today the escalation continues and the Belgian capital looks like not only a ghost town but something out of a Call of Duty warzone after authorities deployed special forces, and APCs, shut the metro, locked down shopping centers, closed sporting events, and warned the public to avoid crowds, train stations, airports and commercial districts because of a "serious and imminent" threat of an attack.

As Reuters reports, a week after the Paris attacks carried out by Islamic State militants, of whom one suspect from Brussels is at large and said by authorities to be highly dangerous, Brussels was placed on the top level "four" in the government's threat scale after a meeting of top ministers, police and security services.

"The advice for the population is to avoid places where a lot of people come together like shopping centers, concerts, events or public transport stations wherever possible," a spokesman for the government's crisis center said.

As AFP reported earlier, the spike in the terror threat is due to a risk of attacks by "weapons and explosives"

The local security forces are taking no chances, and as can be seen on the photos below, APC have been deployed as the city barricades itself with the use of roadblocks at strategic locations.

Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel declined to give the reason why the authorities raised the alert level but told a news conference the government would review the security situation on Sunday afternoon and that the decision to raise the threat level was taken “based on quite precise information about the risk of an attack like the one that happened in Paris where several individuals with arms and explosives launch actions, perhaps even in several places at the same time." The metro system would remain closed until then, in line with the recommendation of the crisis center, he said.

The reason for the dramatic escalation is that chemicals and explosives were among the items found in the during a police raid on Vandepeerboom Street area in the immigrant neighborhood of Molenbeek, a rundown area where Paris attacker Abdelhamid Abaaoud was suspected of operating a terrorist cell.

L'Echo has more:

A search was conducted on Friday at the home of a suspect placed under arrest, federal prosecutors said on Saturday. Some weapons have been discovered, but no explosives or explosive belt.

The suspect was arrested Thursday in the series of searches carried out in Brussels. The person concerned is suspected of involvement in terrorist attacks and participation in activities of a terrorist group.

The find came as Belgium’s capital entered a security lockdown. The government has warned that there could be a repeat of Paris-style attacks in the country’s capital, prompting the closure of subways in Brussels and the deployment of heavily armed police and soldiers.

Fears that terrorists may use chemical or biological weapons quickly spread to Paris where according to the Guardian, security has been stepped up at key water supply sites in Paris, after the French prime minister warned the country could not rule out attacks from “chemical or biological weapons”.

The heightened security comes as reports claim that biohazard suits have been stolen from a Paris hospital, the Telegraph reports. Eau de Paris, the municipal water company, yesterday told Le Parisien that access to its sites has been limited to only the necessary service personnel, and that they have been accredited by the defence ministry.

Furthermore, we learned today that one more suspect from last Friday's terror attack has been arrested in Brussels which has quickly emerged as the nerve center of last week's Paris attacks.

As Reuters further adds, the crisis center website said it was calling on local authorities to cancel large events, urge people to avoid crowds, postpone soccer matches, close the Brussels metro for the weekend and stepping up the military and police presence. Suspected militant Salah Abdeslam, 26, returned home to Brussels from Paris after the attacks, when his elder brother Brahim blew himself up at a cafe.

Fears of the risk he still poses prompted the cancellation last week of an international friendly soccer match in Brussels against Spain. The crisis center said weekend games in the top two professional divisions should now be postponed.

The alert level for the whole country was raised following the Paris attacks to level three out of four, implying a "possible or probable" threat. Previously, only certain sites, such as the U.S. embassy, were at level three.

Belgium, and its capital in particular, have been at the center of investigations into the Paris attacks - which included suicide bombers targeting a France-Germany soccer match - after the links to Brussels emerged. Three people detained in Brussels are facing terrorism charges.

As a reminder, French authorities have said the attacks were planned in Brussels by a local man, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 28, who fought for Islamic State in Syria and was killed in the siege of an apartment in the Paris suburb of St. Denis on Wednesday.

Salah Abdeslam, who was from the same Brussels neighborhood of Molenbeek and is said by officials to have known Abaaoud in prison, was pulled over three times by French police but not arrested as he was driven back to Brussels early last Saturday by two of the men now in custody.

As well as Abdeslam's brother, a second man from Molenbeek, Bilal Hadfi, was also among the Paris suicide bombers.

Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon told reporters he wanted a register of everyone living in Molenbeek because it was not clear at present who was there, with authorities conducting door-to-door checks of every house. "The local administration should knock on every door and ask who really lives there," Jambon said. Curiously when Donald Trump suggests doing something comparable in the US, immediate comparisons with Hitler emerge.

Meanwhile, as the photos below show, soldiers are already on guard in all key parts of Brussels, including at the institutions of the European Union headquartered in the city. Brussels is also home to the headquarters of NATO.

Finally, Belgium's interior ministry has released the following list of recommendations what the local population should do while the terror threat is at its highest level.

I read an article this morning about a recent poll in the U.S. which showed that a majority of Americans do not feel comfortable in Obamy's America, and what it has become. Those Americans, after reading that article, think "Oh gee, I wonder why that is" are the ones we really need to fear.

Zx, notice how often Obama (and now Clinton) uses the phrase "that's not who we are", or some variation thereof.

Please, Mister Obama, tell us who you think we are.

 More importantly, who are you?

Or to quote Pete Townshend, Who the Fuck Are You?

Something else that King Obama said "I can't think of a more potent terrorist recruting tool." It seems reasonable to assume he was referring to the chatter about pausing or denying refugees. That got me thinking...What does he mean by that? Does he mean that refugees are somehow entitled to be here? And that denying them entry would be taking something from them that is already theirs? And therefore make the terrorists angrier? I never thought I would ever think that a sitting U.S. president needs to be removed from office because he is a danger to the citizenry. God in heaven, what did the last elections voters give us? He is a true to life manchurian candidate, and they bought into it. Perhaps we should start qualifying voters somehow.

European authorities won't explain how the so-called mastermind behind the terrorist plots was free to travel back and forth to Syria and actually move about freely in France with the approval of intelligence agencies. That's even after Turkey warned the E.U. about these guys. Now they are worried about all the chemical weapons that were not secured years ago when the Americans bombed Iraq.None of the weapons storage units around Iraq were secured by the U.S. including those chemical weapons which were the leftovers that has been previously used against Iranian human wave attacks where the U.S. was giving information and weapons to both sides.A lot of those chemical weapons such as old fashioned mustard gas that were also extensively used in WW1 are missing.

I am seeing and coming across a lot of "hard left" socialist types who have been awoken.  A few I know were going on about all wars being banker wars yesterday and debating that and discussing Goldman Sachs and things.  If you are referring to liberals as those who get all their information from the mainstream media and the corporations/governments that they work for then I don't disagree.

And the one's you mentioned too. You can see that reality is causing them much mental pain, and it is lovely to behold.

Remember Rothschild and globalists friends are behind all this. They texted the leader of Belgium to raise the terror level so all the shops will be closed and people stay indoors. Then they should spray chem trails on those remaining outside. All the soldiers are sprayed with some resistant chemical so they won't die. Then Cheney will walk around and see how things are coming about. Then Rothschild will order another false flag operation, followed by a black flag and a green flag one. Then we wiil lose all our rights and priviledges. All funded by the CIA/NSA/TSA/DeptofDefense/DeptofAgriculture/Illuminati/Men in Black/Freemasons/Rotary club/Elks Club/4Hclubs/YMCA/YWCA and Coupon clubs. And finally the Knights of Columbus. So many invovled, it's hard to keep up. But don't worry. INFOWARS is on to them and will keep us informed.

So we have the thesis that the West's 100 years of colonial rule that ended 50 years ago or more is responsible for Islam's 1400 years of oppression, intolerance, and its written mandates for violence and supremacy?  For Islam's ongoing atrocities between its sects and to the kafir which are all done in the name of the prophet, a jealous and morally bankrupt pedophile-psychopath?

Do I need to say more?  No.

Responsibility lies with Islam.  You don't need to look further than that.

And yes, the USA has royally screwed up by supporting the Assad opposition and for not throwing off political correctness when it comes to dealing with the Death Cult. Now Putin has to clean up our fucking mess.  Thank you, Russia!

Wow, one person can usher in Martial Law; that should wake up the populace as to whom the enemy is, but it won't.

Fear-mongering murderers are the TPTB, but they will NOT escape the just sentence due because they, like all, cannot escape either death or the divine the judgment seat and will be found guilty and the punishment will never end..amen.

Just keep allowing Muslims to live in a geographic part of any city and allow them to insist on "Religious governance" contrary to local, state and national laws.  Only Islam could get away with that and why?  If that were Christians; they would be mocked for the simple reason that it is of peace and the former of hatred.

People ignore "allah"; they know that is man-made and satanic, but they don't want to face Jesus, they know he was a real person and they know the claims of deity and all authority over mankind and people can't stand that thought.  So they generally will allow, by silence, the former and despise the latter for they know the truth because God has written it in their hearts and the creation testifies to his invisible attributes, but they willfully deny it to their own self-destruction.

Before you bring false Christianity in this; you better know what the Bible says about who is and who is not a Christian.  Secularists/satanists, a religion to themselves, have murdered more of humanity than all of Islam and false Christianity combined.

Roman Catholicism, since you brought up the Pope, is more like Judaism and Islam than it is Christianity.  But since you now know that, then you need to rethink your position based on knowledge, not folly.  The more externals, such as ceremonies and rituals, the less the internals, where the hearts intentions lie and Jesus looks at the inside of a person's heart.

Maybe some people remember over the last 3 years how many times I complained about the EU nations allowing free movement of their passport holders to and from Turkey and Jordan where the USA had it's Jihadist training camps set up, these men then passed into Syria to wage war on Assad's Army. Allowing these men to fight and then return to Europe. The EU liars claim only 5,000 have gone to fight and then returned home. This is bullshit, as the UK alone sent over 3,000 fighters. Göteborg, Sweden's second largest city sent 500+ fighter to Syria, many are home now.

The EU was Happy to have Islamic citizens go and spread terror and head chopping in Syria. That was no problem. The EU hoped at all costs to support the USA war on Syria, and allowed around 10,000 EU citizens, almost an entire infantry division, to travel freely.

NOW THEY COMPLAIN! AS IF THEY HAD NO IDEA!

Too insane for words. I hate killing, so I won't say anyone deserved what happened. I will say, "What you did to Syria, has come home. How does that feel?"

And Christianity grew out of apostate Jews. The root of the problem is the original "Master Race" thesis found in the Old Testament.

Generation after generation, a succession of little Hitlers use the Old Testament for their model as an a excuse to rule over a sucession of functioning morons who think a book is the "Word of God".

All of this has been completely predicatable for years now. The Leftist idiots cry "Racism! Xenophobia!" when you do not actively embrace the invasion of Europe or North America. They have nothing to say when the consequences of this slap them in the face.

The Right-wing idiots cry "We need fight them over there so they don't fight us over here." Well, they are over "here" and your "fighting them" is what largely catalized them "coming over here".

Well...Congratulations! Both sides of the false Left V. Right Paradigm got what they wanted: Leftists got their invading anti-western savages by the millions and the Right-wing can continue inflaming the problem at its source in the backwards Middle East. Only a fool believes that among two horribly wrong perspectives surely one must be more correct than the other. Both are entirely wrong and have created a world on fire that will last for GENERATIONS.

I did not want this. I did not ask for this. The problem remains and it must be solved. The Muhhamadans have no place in the Western world. They are the antithesis for everthing it stands for. They need to go one way or the other. I would prefer peacefully. Also, the inflamatory attacks and tragic over throw of leaders of their lands by Western nations also must end along with all other meddling.

There is mud on everyone and it will a long time to wash it off, but only if we start now.

You seem to think this "terrorist threat" is a problem, but it's only a problem for the plebeians - in other words, not a problem at all. The reason the west interferes in the Middle-east is that there is a possibility a new hostile caliphate that will use its vast energy reserves as a weapon will emerge if the Mohammedans are not... managed. The adventures of the last couple decades have been for the sake of destroying the Arab nationalist governments and partitioning their lands into even smaller, hopefully hostile to each other, states. Israel as an unsinkable aircraft carrier armed with nuclear weapons is a great source of constant strife in the region, and it also stands as a final insurance for the western powers.

No. The "terrorist threat" you believe I "seem to think" is inaccurate. The threat lies in the invading population and their tendancy to reproduce as fast as cockroaches. The threat lies in demographics.

If your theory was correct why hasn't the West gone after Venezuela or the Gulf States? Both of whom constitute more than half of the world's oil reserves. If that was their plan they sure did not see the extreme unintended consequences of the invasion of Europe.

It's amazing that with a mountain of evidence out there, we have so many idiots continue to be scared and divided while the globalists march forward.

"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "ISIS/ISIL/AlQaida" invasion], whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government."

The Torah and the Talmud are older than Islam. Islam took much of its ideology from the Hebrews. That's simple historical fact. Zionsim is just the modern expression of the Jewish supremacism that's always been inherent in the Old Testament.

All of the Abrahamic religions are merely systems of theft, slavery, oppression and murder hiding behind "religion".

Right so Islam was  busy conquering everything from India to Portugal 1000 years ago because zionism. Because Abraham. The jewish link made them do it. The zionist brain slug forced zionist islamist to attack the zionist judaics, which used to be legion in Medina, all for the glory of zion.

If Islam=zionism them christianity=zionism, because it is also based on whatever Abraham (who never existed) did.

Zionism as a movement began with a publication by Theodor Herzl in 1896. I see history isn't your strong suit.

And regarding Islam, you should be able to appreciate that it stands unique in that it doesn't hide it's murderous intention behind anything - at least not unless you close your eyes really really tight.

You're another victim of bad history.

Political Zionism began earlier than that. Moses Hess wrote "Rome and Jerusalem" in 1862. Hess is known as the Father of Socialist Zionism. Even Herzl said that had he read Hess's book first, he wouldn't have needed to have written "The Jewish State" (which was originally titled "Address to the Rothschilds").

If you want to learn a little more history, start with Douglas Reed's "Controversy of Zion":

Donald Trump suggested door knocking in USA to find out exactly who lives where is equated to Hitler.???

Anyone can knock on your door to ask who lives there unless your private property is a no trespassing zone. Apartments, public housing and commercial properties can't violate commercial laws. If anyone comes to your private home or space (apartment interior, automobile interior, etc. you don't have to open the door or reply to the request/demand.

I'd be happy to furnish that info if I thought there was a genuine threat but I wouldn't open the door. You decide when you hear that "Knock On The Door".   See the words to that song by Phil Ochs at

As NATO has been helping the US, the Brits and other Middle Eastern countries waging war, taking of land and other assets, killing innocent men, women and children not only in the ME but Ukraine and before that Serbia/ Croatia, they act surprised of the current situation. Either they knew all of this was going to happen, (refugees, riots, violence, etc, which is a no brainer) or the EU and it's member countries has the dumbest individuals ruling their populace on the planet. Whether all of this is one giant false flag or just a series of consequences from very poor political and military decisions both in the past and in the present, makes little difference. The entire EU and it's countries have been in very serious financial trouble since the crash and it is going to get much, much worse. When people are scared to go out and shop except for the essentials, when you tell people stay away from crowds, train stations, going to work, football matches, restaurants, etc., you have just condemned your country to a total economic collapse. Tax receipts are going to collapse. The next will be the governments laying off government workers, forcing pay cuts and of course a cut of the monthly income for pensioners, the poor and of course the new refugees. All governments will raise taxes which will cause further massive layoffs, less disposable income which cripples businesses even more and of course when the people finally wake up to what has been happening to them, there will be riots which the governments will not be able to control because the people will also realize they are literally fighting for their and their families lives!!!

What we are witnessing is the total collapse of the west and it will never be like it was!

Bruxelles.

While the center of the EU is a great place to continue the Euro-Jihad, this is a decoy to test the "authorities."

Watch for other real targets while everyone watches Bruxulles and the security state apparatchniks twiddle their pencil cocks and scare the peaceful people into their totalitarian grip.

Fucking count on it bitches.

Commandant’s Office

October 1, 1933

Disciplinary and Penal Code for the Camp

The following penal regulations have been issued within the framework of already existing camp regulations for the maintenance of discipline and order in the Dachau concentration camp.

All prisoners in the Dachau concentration camp are subject to these regulations from the moment they enter Dachau Concentration Camp until the time of their release.

Executive disciplinary powers are vested in the Commandant, who is personally responsible to the Chief of Political Police for carrying out the prescribed regulations.

Tolerance is a sign of weakness.  Therefore action will be taken without consideration, if and where the Nation’s interests demand it.  The decent citizen who has been incited will not be subjected to punishments laid down in these penal regulations, but let any political or intellectual agitators, whatever their leanings, pay heed:  take care that you are not caught or you will be seized by the throat and silenced according to your own prescriptions.

.#6... A penalty of 8 day’s detention and 25 strokes administered before and after the sentence will be given to any person: 1. who makes ironical or jeering remarks to a member of the S.S., who intentionally omits a salute as stipulated, or who by his conduct shows that he does not wish to submit to order and discipline.

.#8... A penalty or 14 day’s detention and 25 strokes at the beginning and end of the sentence will be given to any person: 2. who makes unfavorable remarks in letters or other communications about National Socialist leaders, the state or the Government, authorities and institutions, who extols Marxist or liberal leaders or November parties, or who communicates information about events in the camp.

.#10... A penalty of 42 days detention or prolonged solitary confinement will be given to any person; 4. who vilifies the emblems of the National Socialist State or those who wear them, insults them or disregards them in any other way.

.#11... Any person, who at work, in the living quarters, kitchen, workshop, toilets or rest places engages in subversive politics, holds provocative speeches, congregates with others for this purpose, forms cliques, loiters, collects, receives or buries information, repeats or smuggles out of the camp by means of a note or some other method to a camp visitor information, either true or false, concerning the camp, to be used in our enemies horror propaganda, or who sends written or verbal message through released or transferred prisoners, conceals them in items of clothing or other objects, throws them over the wall, writes coded messages, or any person in order to incite rebellion climbs onto the roof of the huts or up trees, or transmits signals with a lamp or by any other means, seeks outside contact, or advises, supports or aids others in escape or crime, will be hanged as a subversive instigator under the terms of revolutionary law.

.#13... Any person who in the camp, in living quarters, workshops, kitchen, stores, etc. deliberately causes a fire, explosion, flooding, or any other material damage, or any person who tampers in any way which does not correspond to orders given, with the barb-wire fence, high-tension cables, electricity junction box, telephone lines, water pipes, the walls of the camp or other security installations, heating installations or boilers, engines or motor vehicles, will be punished by death as a saboteur.

If the deed is committed through negligence the guilty party will be placed in solitary confinement. Doubtful cases will be treated as sabotage.

.#19... Solitary confinement consists of a diet of water and dry bread and a hard bed.  The prisoner will be given hot food every 4 days.  Hard labor includes hard physical and especially dirty work carried out under strict surveillance.

The following complementary punishments are laid down;  Punishment drill, flogging, deprivation of mail, withdrawal of food, hard bed, the “post”, reprimands and warning.

All punishments will be recorded in the prisoner’s personal file, Detention and hard labor will prolong preventive detention by at least four weeks.  Prisoners in cells cannot be released from the camp within the foreseeable future.

It would appear that things changed in a big way after 1933!  Fuckin' A.

If you're a buff, here's something very interesting I ran across in my perfunctory search for your text--a transcript from the Nuremberg Trials:

@Bob - Nuremberg Trials transcrpit is overwhelming at the moment.  I'm just a fellow curious about all the claims of a holocaust, but I posted the 'Camp Rules' just to provide some tangibility to the idea of totalitariaism.

I found the Dachua camp rules in Concentration Camp Dachau, 1933-1945, Commite' International de Dachau, 1978, an over-enlightening documentary.  I scrutinized the book, It caught a sense that the holocaust was over-inflated.

Indeed, those rules look like normal fare for a prison.  But 1933.  Everything that came up for me in search led to shit about supposed rules for shooting prisoners . . . the German zeitgeist of later years.

Then there's the trial transcripts.

Me, I can't see what's the big difference between slaughtering even, say, a half million of your own citizens--plus the many millions killed in surrounding countries (unless they're lying, too)--or six million.   Why quibble?
