FHFA Reports Home Prices Rose At Fastest Pace In 30 Months

Tyler Durden's picture

Despite weaker home sales, tumbling homebuilder confidence, and fading median home prices according to NAR, FHFA reports home prices in America rose 0.8% in September. Doubling expectations of a 0.4% rise, this is the biggest MoM price increase since March 2013's peak.

Everything is awesome then?

"what's next? Clothes?"

How about potable water? All these immigrants need water, food, housing, jobs and guess who they will compete with?

"Overpopulation in the United States will become THE single greatest issue facing Americans in the 21st century. We either solve it proactively or nature will solve it brutally for us via water shortages, energy crisis, air pollution, gridlock, species extinction and worse.

U.S. population will double from 300 million to 600 million on its way to 1 billion in the lifetime of a child born today if we fail to change course."

90% of US Naturalizations from 3rd World

In a further confirmation of the danger that legal immigration poses to America, new figures from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have revealed that 90 percent of all US citizenship naturalizations in 2013 were made by people originating from the Third World.

the fhfa doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground. there are over a quarter of a million houses listed on zillow in florida alone. if prices are rising why would people sell? if prices are rising why haven't the listings sold?

Probably half a million which should be listed in Florida, but the realtors and banks continue to hide the zombie/abandoned properties.

Fuckin' charade.

Shadow inventory still over 13 million I read. As long as the banks continue to get free money from the fed there is no incentive to unload or even encourage people to pay their mortgages.

For a couple of years I have been looking for some mountain land in NC.  A few months back, I came across a great listing in the location I wanted.  This parcel was on the boards for 358 days!  Made my offer to wit the seller countered and I didn't budge.  They sold at my desired price. 10K under their listing.  Moral of the story?  Even land is in the tank.  We are taken (in our faces) for fools.  Those in the ivory towers are much smarter than us pitiful ZH'ers.  /s

Which tells me we're witnessing a replay of '08, in certain markets.

We lived in Columbia, SC, at the time. Overpriced shit post-war houses with two-prong electrical outlets and aluminum wiring (!) were going for upwards of $175K to $250K, depending on which schools were close by, and whether ot not the house was near a pond or whatever.

Remember the recent floods? Yeah, right there. We lived on the high ground back then, in our $150K updated ranch. Fuckin' suckers who paid all that money for shit houses before the downturn are now recovering from that flood, and some of the rich people in the newer housing got it the worst. The post-war homes were selling for what I'd perceive to be at least 30% over their true value, before the downturn, and still are overpriced.

In nearby Lexington County, a local news station ran a story at 6 o'clock back in late '08, showing a neighborhood of homes which had sold in the $350K-$400K range before the shit storm hit in real estate. The builder was having a difficult time moving the houses, so they were offering the houses for at least $50K less than they had 6 months previous. You should have seen the sheeple in that neighborhood bitch, it was comedy gold.

Boobus Americanus, folks. I got talked into buying a set of struts for my '87 Plymouth years ago as a kid right out of HS, and vowed to never get hosed on a financial transaction ever again. Boobus Americanus keep getting fucked, over and over, again, and it's like they keep begging for more fucking right up the keister.

RE is local is right! Check out houses in Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, etc anywhere in middle America and it's a rude awakening to people who think house prices only go up. Middle Class and lower class Americans are dead men walking there---Broke Donkeys. I guess the Chinese, Russian, Nigerian, etc money launderers don't want to move those places.

Vancouver, Anywhere in Cali, Seattle, and NYC are their choices looks like. Montreal and Toronto seems to be reserved for Muslim money launderers a Paki told me in the convenience store the other day. Probably where bankers and realtors look the other way when all that undocumented cash floods their way.

Teach For America Pledges to Recruit More Latino Teachers by Griselda Nevarez, NBC News Oct 22 2015

"We know that teachers who share the background of their students can have a profound additional impact," Carrizales said. "Latino teachers have a significant opportunity to serve as role models for their students and to build strong relationships with families through their shared culture and language."

The pledge by Teach For America to recruit more Latinos is in response to the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics' 25th anniversary call to action.
Teach for America has also recruited recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, a federal program that allows undocumented youth who came to the United States as children to stay and work temporarily. Carrizales, who was once an undocumented student herself, is now Teach for America's Director of DACA Corps Member Support.

The prices here have risen and sales are at pre-recession rates.

Of course there has been a surge of immigrants from Mexico and Asia here and liberal upscale whites fleeing the cities they helped to create.
