As If The French Did Not Have Enough Problems

Tyler Durden's picture

With bond yields hitting ever-increasingly negative levels and stock prices inexorably rising on a wave of real and promised liquidity from Draghi, one could be forgiven for believing the hype about Europe's recovery (had we not seen decades of failure for Japanese QE and 6 years for The Fed). So amid all this renewed hope, with its spiralling nationalism and warmongery - France just suffered the largest jump in joblessness in over 2 years to a new record high of 3.5898 million unemployed.

But then again - what does it matter...

But doesn't socialism plan for that?  Is there a conflicting goal here? Gee.  I'm so disappointed.

Meanwhile, Hollande is wiping his ass with 2-days-old ducklings.

Awww... How cute is that?  ;-)

According to French daily Le Parisienne, France’s official jobless rate is based solely on the more than 3.5 million people registered in the nation’s unemployment program. But that leaves out a number of groups, like those who have quit the program because their benefits are exhausted, or young workers who never even registered for assistance. And it also excludes those stuck in part-time jobs who can’t find more paying work. Recent reports from says that if all these groups are included, France’s real unemployment rate triples to 9 million workers.

Yes, the greater number of jobless people, the lower the BLS's Unemployment Rate.

It's basic math these days.

Bring in a few thousand more Syrian refugees. That oughtta stimulate the French economy. And keep bombing their home. That oughtta stimulate the Syrian economy.

Somebody explain again how bombing Syria equates to justice for a false flag carried out by French nationals.

In a climate of strong deflationary forces, tell me how French socialism stays competitive with India and China. If you want to pay record sky high taxes on everything, just go there. It's a rip-off.
