Yeah, my memory of history sucks. That one sounds legit, and actually sounds more like a closing skirmish of the revolutionary war.
Of course the huge mistake after the revolutionary war was to form yet another fictional "government" when north america already had the PERFECT setup.
What setup is that? Essentially the only legitimate form of human organization that resembles what people mean by the fiction "government" is what native american "indians" had in place.
They were typically called "tribes", or the more western term might be "settlements".
When you think this through, this is nothing more than "individual property rights", not what anyone means by "government".
How so?
Well, think about it. What if you find an empty piece of land somewhere, erect some fences to keep your cattle, pigs and chickens from wandering away... and also to keep the wolves, coyotes and other predators from getting in and eating your animals and your gardens too for that matter.
That's a "settlement" for 1 family.
Since the family created the settlement, and thus own the settlement, for them to establish "house rules" for visitors is perfectly legit, reasonable and simply the obvious and standard way to implement "private property" (keep others from stealing or harming your private property).
But, of course, a successful settlement won't stay limited to one family forever. Over time, the family will offer food, shelter and other goods and goodies in exchange for help keeping the settlement operating, and hopefully increasing production so excess can be traded for goods and goodies created by other individuals and settlements.
And also, most families will gradually grow... as in "have kids".
Of course, everyone in the "settlement" is expected to respect "house rules", which I suppose should be called "owner rules" since they extend to all goods, goodies, animals, plants and other improvements within the boundaries of the "settlement".
Over time (a few generations), such a "settlement" will grow to include dozens of individuals, perhaps even more. If the individuals involved are native american "indians", most would call the "settlement" a "tribe", and the "house rules" are called the "tribe rules".
To an outsider, any of these "settlements" or "tribes" might look like a "small town". And for practical purposes, what's the difference, other than terminology. The "house rules" are the same as "town laws" for all practical purposes.
The important point is the following.
All empty space between settlements or tribes is considered "no mans land" (for lack of a better term).
In other words, anyone outside the boundary of a settlement or tribe has no "house rules" or "tribe rules" or "settlement laws" to follow. They are 100% free.
Of course, there is a general human expectation (and demand) that you don't harm or steal other individuals or their property, even in "no mans land". But if you encounter a predator (whether wolf, lion, bear, tiger, snake... or human) who attempts to harm or grab you or your property, your only choice is self-defense or accept the loss.
What I describe above is liberty.
What I describe above is freedom.
What I describe above is what existed in the americas before clueless westerners brought and forced the intellectual disease and fiction called "government" upon the americas.
What is the fundamental and crucial difference between "tribes", "settlements" or "small towns" (that are actually just "settlements" with "house rules")... and the fiction called "government"?

It's probably not Google. They get their data from the same commercial satellite image providers everyone else does. If the provider has been told not to photograph an area then it'll be blanked out or simply missing at a particular zoom level. The only option is to use old data.
You can compare Google with here.com, a European company (ex nokia maps). Entirely different companies, different data sets but they use the same satellite data providers because there just aren't very many of them.

Regarding England, the fact is, that Germany endured a solid 5 months of bombing of its cities and civilians before responding in kind. The city of Coventry endured a mere 380 dead. While regrettable, that was absolutely minuscule in comparison to the bombing of hundreds of German cities and towns, and the casualties which the German side endured by this unprovoked, criminal British policy of targeting civilians.
