Russia Presents Detailed Evidence Of ISIS-Turkey Oil Trade

Tyler Durden's picture

On Monday, Turkey’s sultan President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said something funny. In the wake of Vladimir Putin’s contention that Russia has additional proof of Turkey’s participation in Islamic State’s illicit crude trade, Erdogan said he would resign if anyone could prove the accusations.

Now obviously, conclusive evidence that Ankara is knowingly facilitating the sale of ISIS crude will probably be hard to come by, at least in the short-term, but the silly thing about Erdogan’s pronouncement is that we’re talking about a man who was willing to plunge his country into civil war over a few lost seats in Parliament. The idea that he would ever “step down” is patently absurd.

But that’s not what’s important. What’s critical is that the world gets the truth about who’s financing and facilitating “Raqqa’s Rockefellers.” If a NATO member is supporting this, and if the US has refrained from bombing ISIS oil trucks for 14 months as part of an understanding with Erdogan, well then we have a problem. For those who need a review, see the following four pieces:

Unfortunately for Ankara, The Kremlin is on a mission to blow this story wide open now that Turkey has apparently decided it’s ok to shoot down Russian fighter jets. On Wednesday, we get the latest from Russia, where the Defense Ministry has just finished a briefing on the Islamic State oil trade. Not to put too fine a point on it, but Turkey may be in trouble.

First, here’s the bullet point summary via Reuters:

  • RUSSIA'S DEFENCE MINISTRY SAYS RUSSIA'S AIR STRIKES IN SYRIA HELPED TO ALMOST HALVE ILLEGAL OIL TURNOVER
  • RUSSIA'S DEFENCE MINISTRY SAYS TURKISH PRESIDENT AND FAMILY INVOLVED IN BUSINESS WITH ISLAMIC STATE OIL
  • RUSSIAN DEFENCE MINISTRY SAYS WILL CONTINUE STRIKES IN SYRIA ON ISLAMIC STATE OIL INFRASTRUCTURE
  • RUSSIA'S DEFENCE MINISTRY SAYS KNOWS OF THREE ROUTES BY WHICH ISLAMIC STATE OIL IS DIRECTED TO TURKEY
  • RUSSIAN DEFENCE MINISTRY SAYS TO PRESENT NEXT WEEK INFORMATION SHOWING TURKEY HELPING ISLAMIC STATE

That’s the Cliff’s Notes version and the full statement from Deputy Minister of Defence Anatoly Antonov is below. Let us be the first to tell you, Antonov did not hold back.

In the opening address, the Deputy says the ISIS oil trade reaches the highest levels of Turkey's government. He also says Erdogan wouldn’t resign if his face was smeared with stolen Syrian oil. Antonov then blasts Ankara for arresting journalists and mocks Erdogan’s “lovely family oil business.” Antonov even calls on the journalists of the world to "get involved" and help Russia "expose and destroy the sources of terrorist financing."

"Today, we are presenting only some of the facts that confirm that a whole team of bandits and Turkish elites stealing oil from their neighbors is operating in the region," Antonov continues, setting up a lengthy presentation in which the MoD shows photos of oil trucks, videos of airstrikes and maps detailing the trafficking of stolen oil. The clip is presented here with an English voice-over. Enjoy.

After loading up with oil, a truck convoy in east Syria heads toward Turkey in direction Al-Qamishli:

October 18: in the Drer-ez-zor region a satellite imagte reveals 1772 oil trucks:

November 14: in the Tavan and Zaho regions, in the zone where coalition forces are active, one can see a gathering of oil trucks:

November 28: in the region Kara-Choh on the territory of an oil refinery one can see 50 oil trucks:

The routes of alleged oil smuggling from Syria and Iraq to Turkey:

A substantial part from east Syria enter a refinery in Batman, Turkey (100km from the Syria border):

Video: an oil truck enters Turkey unhindered:

And here's the latest video of Russia destroying Islamic State oil infrastructure:

Oh, and for good measure, Lieutenant-General Sergey Rudskoy says the US is not bombing ISIS oil trucks.

Full statement from Anatoly Antonov (translated)

At a briefing for the media, "the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the fight against international terrorism. The new data "

International terrorism - is the main threat of our time. This threat is not illusory but real, and many countries, primarily Russia, knows this firsthand. The notorious "Is Islamic state" - the absolute leader of the terrorist international. This is a rearing monster of international terrorism can be countered. And you can win. Over the past two months, Aerospace Russian forces is clearly demonstrated.

We are firmly convinced that victory over LIH need to deliver a powerful and devastating blow to the sources of its funding, as repeatedly mentioned by President Vladimir Putin. Terrorism has no money - is a beast without teeth. Oil revenues are a major source of terrorist activity in Syria. They earn about $ 2 billion. Dollars annually, spending this money on hiring fighters around the world, providing them with weapons, equipment and weapons. That's why so LIH protects thieves oil infrastructure in Syria and Iraq.

The main consumer of stolen from legitimate owners - Syria and Iraq - the oil is Turkey. According to the data entered in this criminal business involved the highest political leadership of the country - President Erdogan and his family.

We have repeatedly talked about the dangers of flirting with terrorists. It's like that stokes. The fire from one country can spill over to others. This situation we are seeing in the Middle East. Today, we present only part of the facts, confirming that the region has a team of bandits and Turkish elites stealing oil from the neighbors.

This oil in large numbers on an industrial scale, for the living pipelines from thousands of oil tankers entering the territory of Turkey. We are absolutely convinced today present you the hard facts about what the final destination of the stolen oil - Turkey. There is a large number of media representatives, and Our briefing will see more of your colleagues. In this regard, I would like to say the following. We know and appreciate the work of journalists. We know that in the journalistic community, many courageous, fearless people honestly do its job.Today, we have clearly shown you how the illegal trade in oil, the result of which - the financing of terrorism. Provided concrete evidence that, in our opinion, may be the subject of investigative journalism.

We are confident that the truth with your help will, will find its way. We know the price to Erdogan. He has already been caught in a lie again Turkish journalists who opened Turkey delivery of arms and ammunition to militants under the guise of humanitarian convoys. For this imprisoned journalists.

Do not resign Turkish leaders, particularly Mr. Erdogan, and did not recognize, even if their faces will be smeared by oil thieves. I might be too harsh, but at the hands of the Turkish military killed our comrades. The cynicism of the Turkish leadership is unlimited. Look what they're doing ?! Climbed to a foreign country, it shamelessly robbed. And if the owners interfere, then they have to be addressed.

I stress that Erdogan's resignation is not our goal. It is - it is the people of Turkey. Our goal and the goal to which we urge you, ladies and gentlemen, - joint action to block the sources of funding for terrorism. We will continue to provide evidence of robbery by Turkey of its neighbors. Maybe I'll be too straightforward, but the control of these thieves in business can be entrusted only to the most close people.

No one in the West, I wonder, does not cause the issue that the son of the President of Turkey is the leader of one of the largest energy companies, and son-in-appointed Minister of Energy? What a brilliant family business!

This, in general, may elsewhere? Well, once again, of course, such cases can not be charging anyone, only the closest people. Votes this fact in the Western media we do not see much, but it sure can not hide the truth. Yes, of course, dirty petrodollars will work. I am sure that there are now discussions about the fact that everything you see here, - falsification. Well. If it did not - let be allowed in those places that we showed journalists.

It is obvious that today the publicity was devoted only part of the information about the monstrous crimes of the Turkish elites who directly finance international terrorism. We believe that any sane journalist should fight this plague of the XXI century. The world experience has repeatedly argued that the objective journalism is able to be an effective and formidable tool in the fight against various financial corruption schemes. We invite colleagues to investigative journalism on the disclosure of financial schemes and supplies oil from the terrorists to the consumers. Especially since the oil produced in the controlled militants territories in transit through Turkish ports shipped to other regions. For its part, the Ministry of Defense of Russia will continue to disclose new evidence on the supply of terrorists oil to foreign countries and to talk about the conduct of aerospace forces of Russia operations in Syria.Let's unite our efforts. We will destroy the sources of financing of terrorism in Syria, as you get involved in the kind of work abroad. "

....another interesting point here...

http://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/features/2015/11/26/raqqas-rockefellers...

"The Islamic State group uses millions of dollars in oil revenues to expand and manage vast areas under its control, home to around five million civilians.

IS sells Iraqi and Syrian oil for a very low price to Kurdish and Turkish smuggling networks and mafias, who label it and sell it on as barrels from the Kurdistan Regional Government.

It is then most frequently transported from Turkey to Israel, via knowing or unknowing middlemen, according to al-Araby's investigation.

The Islamic State group has told al-Araby that it did not intentionally sell oil to Israel, blaming agents along the route to international markets."

Erdogan messed with the wrong country.  Doesn't matter what country has their back, Turkey will be left to fight alone if it comes down to it.  Also, how are they going to rally the Turkish people to stand up and fight when the majority of the people hate their leader and don't trust him.  They could start false flags but the people distrust Erdogan so much, they wouldn't believe it.  Erdogan shouldn't have started a chess game with Putin.

You can only start understanding a nation through understanding its history.

"it is estimated that up to a million and a half Armenians perished at the hands of Ottoman and Turkish military and paramilitary forces and through atrocities intentionally inflicted to eliminate the Armenian demographic presence in Turkey. In the process, the population of historic Armenia at the eastern extremity of Anatolia was wiped off the map. With their disappearance, an ancient people which had inhabited the Armenian highlands for three thousand years lost its historic homeland and was forced into exile and a new diaspora. The surviving refugees spread around the world and eventually settled in some two dozen countries on all continents of the globe. Triumphant in its total annihilation of the Armenians and relieved of any obligations to the victims and survivors, the Turkish Republic adopted a policy of dismissing the charge of genocide and denying that the deportations and atrocities had constituted part of a deliberate plan to exterminate the Armenians.

http://www.armenian-genocide.org/genocide.html

the United States surrendered to the ninety year campaign of denial by the government of Turkey. The State Department and the White House have continued the cowardly policies of every Secretary of State since Lansing who have considered it more important to placate the Turkish government than to be truthful about history."http://www.genocidewatch.org/aboutus/thecostofdenial.html

We have in this country all the tools we need to prosper as a republic in fact it's the longest enduring constitutional republic on earth I believe I could be wrong.

We have historic evidence of what attacks upon it have been mounted and I think the lesson here is the republic didn't fail the people failed to remember what the hell it all means and how it is suppossed to work.

To fix it you have to understand what it was suppossed to do and then you can make a few minor tweaks and put it back largely how it was but I can't for the life of me see why people would think they could fundamentally change anything and get a better result when it's the most successful example of it's kind in history.

People forget over time how it all works and their own shortcommings end up being the problem.

I believe it was Mencken who said:

“People deserve the government they get, and they deserve to get it good and hard.”

And that is exactly what we have; a democracy where the elected keep getting re-elected by promising the masses more and more freebies. The dumbed-down voters care not where the money comes from for these freebies.

This quote may or may not be Ben Franklin, but is extremely accurate and poignant nevertheless:

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic. They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty."

Modern America has given up its Constitutional Republic in favor of pure democracy, and the chickens are coming home to roost.

As I read it, according to traditional international law, the Russian Federation may legally seize Erdogan's Maltese-flagged "neutral" tankers carrying ISIS' crude oil, because that crude oil constitutes a significant portion of ISIS' war making potential, that tanker then effectively constituting an enemy merchant vessel, with the tanker's subsequent condemnation in Russian prize courts, as the capturing belligerent power.

I hope that the Russian Federation's Navy seizes all of Erdogan's tankers, bankrupting Erdogan's company. Let them then sit in port for the next several years awaiting disposition in a Russian prize court.

Pentagon spokesperson Michelle Baldanza told TASS on Monday.

“Such systems will further complicate an already difficult situation in the skies over Syria and do nothing to further the fight against ISIL [the former name of the terrorist group Islamic State which is outlawed in Russian] as they have no air force,” she said.

“We expect that if Russia follows through, they will abide by our Memorandum of Understanding regarding flight safety and not direct this system against Coalition aircraft.”  How can you be so dumb... "...as ISIL has no air force" : so the SU24 blew up by itself ? The US are just providing the dots, you can draw the line by yourself :

a) according to the US, the only threat to Russian planes would be the ISIL air force

b) a Russian plane was shot down by another, non-russian, plane

c) so this other non-russian plane is from ISIL air force

d) Turkey claims it shot the russian plane down

conclusion : a+b+c+d => Turkish air force is ISIL air force.

World Bulletin / News Desk
Israel has plans to export its natural gas, Orit Farkash Hacohen, chairwoman of the Israeli Electricity Department of Public Utilities Authority, told on Monday.
"We know that Israel has huge gas reservoirs offshore. There are definitely plans to export gas," she said.
The Leviathan field is due to start operating in 2016 or 2017. There is a proposal for a pipeline through Turkey that would allow access to European markets for the Israeli gas.
"We need geographical suitability to export natural gas. With regards to all international initiatives, this is a policy matter that is being held by the government," she said.
"The Israeli government has set quite clear export rules for gas dealers and drillers in order to have a clear and better financial model," she said.
In 2009, Israel discovered the Leviathan natural gas field with resources of almost 600 billion cubic meters near Haifa off the coast of Israel.

Here's the story about how and why John Kerry's grandfather, Frederick Kohn, changed his name to Kerry.

"...in 1897, Otto decided to shed the Jewish-sounding name of Kohn. He chose a new name by dropping a pencil on a map. The pencil landed on Ireland's County Kerry. In 1901, Fritz followed his brother’s example and officially changed his name to Frederick Kerry."

http://judaism.about.com/od/jewishgenealogy/a/jewpas_kerry.htm

The Kohn family was from Moravia, a predominately Ashkenazi Jewish enclave in what is now the Czech Republic. Ashkenazi Jews comprisee about 75% of Jews worldwide. Looking back farther, they migrated from Khazaria to Eastern Europe. The Khazars were a Turkic people whom converted to Judaism mostly for economic and political gain. Interestly, there is very little "Semitic" DNA in the Ashkenazi Jews' blood.

Also, John Kerry's mother was a Forbes, a Scottish name. There was much shared heritage between the Scots and the Normans. So, maybe somebody can trace his grandmother back to the Norman Barons appointed to rule Britain by William the Conquerer after the Battle of Hastings. I'm sure you all have heard about these Knights Templar and it's association with secret societies?

http://www.latimes.com/world/middleeast/la-fg-syria-turkey-20151201-stor...

"It was Turkey's national intelligence agency, known as MIT, that first organized Syrian military defectors into Western-backed groups under the banner of the Free Syrian Army.

Free Syrian Army factions still convene on Turkish soil in the Joint Operations Center, a CIA-led intelligence hub that gives vetted rebels training as well as U.S.-made TOW antitank missiles used to destroy Syrian army tanks and armored units.

Islamist groups, however, have benefited from Turkey's pro-opposition policy as well. In May, the Turkish daily newspaper Cumhuriyet published video from 2014 showing customs agents impounding a truck owned by the MIT. The truck's manifest said it was carrying humanitarian assistance for Syrians. Instead it was bearing a cache of ammunition and shells the newspaper said were destined for Islamist rebels. The video's release caused a furor. Erdogan vowed to prosecute Cumhuriyet, a threat he carried out Friday when authorities arrested two of the paper's journalists on charges of espionage and aiding a terrorist organization.

Turkish assistance has been instrumental in empowering the Army of Conquest, a loose coalition of hard-line Islamist factions including Al Nusra Front, which seized control of Idlib province in March in an offensive backed by Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Economic ties also have been forged between Turkey and rebel factions.

According to a 2015 United Nations study, two border crossings controlled by a faction of the Army of Conquest handle more than 300 trucks a day, a figure that exceeds prewar levels. The traffic yields an estimated $660,000 a day. "

US Air Force Pilots Bombing Desert In Syria, Returning With Ordnance Allegedly Intended For ISIS
http://www.activistpost.com/2015/12/us-air-force-pilots-bombing-desert-i...

You see, the US strategic goal in Syria is not as your faithful mainstream media servants (led by that redoubtable channeler of Neo-Con smokescreens at the NYT Michael Gordon) might have you believe to save the Syrian people from the ravages of the long-standing Assad dictatorship, but rather to heighten the level of internecine conflict in that country to the point where it will not be able to serve as a bulwark against Israeli regional hegemony for at least another generation.

How do we know? Because important protagonists in the Israelo-American policy planning elite have advertised the fact with a surprising degree of clarity in documents and public statements issued over the last several decades.

The key here is learning to listen to what our cultural training has not prepared us to hear.

In 1982, as the Likud Party (which is to say, the institutional incarnation of the Revisionist Zionist belief, first articulated by Jabotinsky in the ”Iron Wall” that the only way to deal with “the Arabs” in and around Israel was through unrelenting force and the inducement of cultural fragmentation) was consolidating its hold on the foreign policy establishment of Israel, a journalist named Oded Yinon, who had formerly worked at the Israeli Foreign Ministry, published an article in which he outlined the strategic approach his country needed to take in the coming years.

What follows are some excerpts from Israel Shahak’s English translation of that text:...

I have been very angry with the government of Israel since the late 60's, but I do not let my feelings towards it deflect the accountability of the US for being solely responsible for most of the crimes against humanity we have witnessed in our lives.

The Israeli tail does not wag the American dog.  Although the American perpetrators that be have no objection to that being thought.

If Israel bombed Damascus and Latakia 6 or 7 times in the first half of 2013, it did so at the demand of the US.  If Israel took out nuclear power plants in Syria and Iraq, it did so at the demand of the US.  If Israel appeared unreconcilable about Iran's nuclear ambition, it did so at the demand of the US.

Yes, the hierarchy of the neocons in America is abundantly Jewish, but if and when the US Military achieves the complete world domination that they have been seeking since the 50's, Israel will find itself just another important satrapy, but no more important than England, Denmark and Philippines.

The Report comes with a 40 minute film.  Yuri Chaika is associated with the fight against corruption since the 1990s and is associated close with President Putin.

Yuri Chaika first became a prosecutor general in 1999, before becoming a Minister of Justice under the Yeltsin Administration. He was one of the few people that President Putin asked to stay on, which he did, and continued to serve in the cabinet until 2006. His reform of the penitentiary system was apparently praised by international human rights advocacy groups.  In 2006 he returned to the office of the prosecutor general. And he was the one that championed the creation of an Investigative Committee for large scale corruption in 2007. The Prosecutor General has continued to champion anti-corruption legislation in Russia since.

However, the report released on Tuesday alleges business dealings between his son, Artem Chaika, and the Attorney General’s ex-wife, Olga Lopatina, a woman that apparently has a reputation in Moscow’s Kushchevskaya mob town. Lopatina is a co-owner of the Sugar Kuban company, in partnership with the wives of Sergei Tsapok and Vyacheslav Tsepovyaz, two names well known in Russia’s crime syndicates.

Focuses on the real estate assets of Artem Chaika in Greece and in Switzerland, the investigation establishes a connection with Olga Lopatina, with whom the Deputy Attorney General has officially divorced but they still appear to be a couple.

Artem Chaika has a multimillion dollar empire and has business interests in mining, construction, manufacturing, legal offices, and shipping. Among other assets, he owns a shipping company in Irkutsk since the early 2000s, which he took over in 2003, and his former CEO has since dies under suspicious circumstances that were never investigated.

This is not the first time Artem Chaika is accused of corruption. According to Moscow Times, in 2011, the Investigative Committee founded by Yuri Chaika accused his son of being a middleman between the prosecutor and an illegal gambling network. The accusation was later retracted.

Russia needs to stop playing a conservative chess game ala Spassky and start playing like Bobbie Fischer did in his famous queen sacrifice

Most likely Putin is doing an imitation of Stalin in the late 1930s when he went along with hitler, while building up his forces that he had decimated earlier.  Now that the Russians have a modern military again, they can sit tight as they are protected now, and play varoius gambits to throw NATO off.  Arming the houthis should be step one, to sink Saudi tankers and spike oil prices.  Then play the Ukraine by arming rebels West of Novorussia to destroy tanks,bridges,..etc.  Riussias goal must be to split NATO.  Heck, they can even clear out Syria of the rebels and sneek them into Saudi Arabia to fight on the inside.  Russia needs alliies but for that it must have it's own clear goals for domination.  Clearly the theives in Turkey are drawn to NATO like bees are to honey.  Russia needs to do something similar; draw in Houthis, dissaffected Saudis,..etc.  They need to draw in Americans too.  That would entail eliminating Saudi and Gulf oil using Houthis.   Russia was successful in arming the NVA against America in Vienam, a war whcih nearly resulted in a mini revolution in the USA.    They can arm their own set of jihadists too. against Western and Isreali interests; clearly Russia should form a  defense pact with Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Iraq; they will assist in the defense ownly with missiiles against any provocation.

The game theorists in Tel Aviv are playing game theory but with the twist of bluffing the destruction of the destruction of the West (but not of their own destrution) to get the Russians to surrender. The Russians are playing too rationally, thinking that their opponent is crazy because he is acting crazy by threatening the destruction of the West, but Israel hates the West anyway (which the Russians haven't calculated into their model yet).   Just threaten to nuke Israel and the NATO gambit stops.  Give Iran, Lebanon and Syria a nuclear defense pact with Russia and the crazy stuff NATO is doing stops.

The NWO wsa responsible for 911 and for killing 3K Americans; our lives mean nothing to those who rule us.  They will not be successful in the end as they are not supported by their population anymore.  When TSHTF they will be unable to draft young men to fight.

The real reason for US, UK, french and German interest in Syria

https://d262ilb51hltx0.cloudfront.net/max/1200/1*yfGweLsLE_HD-JyMOFZUPA.png

Describing offshore Syria as “a truly frontier area of exploration”, Bowman?—?who was also involved in CGGVeritas evaluations of seismic datasets of energy resources in Libya?—?noted the discovery of several “flat-spots” which, if real, “will represent billion-barrel/multi-TCF [trillion cubic feet] drilling targets given the scale and volumetrics of the structures within which they occur.”

Get rid of Assad and it is there to be looted.

billions possibly trillions of cubic feet. Sounds big to me.

Possibly comparable to the Leviathan field off Gaza/Israel. There's no wonder Israel seeks the destruction of Syria.

What a gift for Erdogan's handlers...er um NATO partner....

Clean face on this an easy shift - deny knowledge /  encourage investigation / drawn out prosecution (theft of treasure out of Turkey) / use the ensuing power vaccum to cultivate a new turd to polute the bowl / demonstrate co-operation on a world stage / use the event by inference to keep the other NATO pets in line.

And the response from the United States....

“Let me be very clear that we flatly reject any notion that the Turks are somehow working with ISIL,” said Colonel Steve Warren, spokesman for the US-led coalition fighting against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). “That is preposterous and kind of ridiculous. We absolutely, flatly reject that notion.”
