President Obama Explains Why Taking Away Americans' Guns Will Make Them All Safer - Live Feed
The best gun salesman in America is about to explain how he - and his administration alone - will 'fix' the new un-normal rash of mass shootings, terrorist-attacks, murders, and general civil disorder by continuing down the path of stricter, tighter, confiscation-er gun control laws. As we previewed earlier President Obama wasted no time to launch this impromptu address to the nation at 8:00 pm on the "threat of terrorism and keeping the American people safe." Administration staff confirmed that the president will specifically call on Congress to review certain gun control measures.
Translation: another surge in gun sales is imminent as fears of gun confiscation rise to unprecedented heights.
So, what will Obama say? In an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press," Attorney General Loretta Lynch gave advance hints about the remarks President Barack Obama will make when he speaks to the country Sunday evening about the recent terrorist attack in San Bernardino.
"What you're going to hear from him is a discussion about what government is doing to ensure all of our highest priority - the protection of the American people," the attorney general said.
Lynch's staff later confirmed that the president will specifically call on Congress to review certain gun control measures.
And since Congress has long ago given up on taking action in a world in which the Fed's Chairman/woman is expected to "get to work", it will again be up to an Obama executive order to restore peace to the land by continuing his crusade against the Second amendment.
In short, the latest steps in Obama's crusade to disarm the US and make even legal purchases of guns as difficult as possible, even though limiting the legal means of purchasing guns will have absolutely no impact on gun violence in the US - for the perpetual case study, see Chicago. That, however, does not mean that Obama won't try or succeed... and tonight's speech is likely to be a strawman of what his executive order will look like.

The biggest irony, however, as we reported previously, is that "homicide rates have been cut in half over past 20 years as new gun ownership soared."
So thanks Obama: courtesy of your inept approach to resolving every social issue not to mention your naive, recurring attempts to uproot the Second Amendment, you are making the US safer one teleprompted, faux-emotional speech at a time. Granted, everyone knows that was not your intention, but the public will take whatever it can.
So what changed? Why did Americans suddenly start getting more interested in guns in and around the end of 2008?

Look. America never had a gun problem. America has a Negro problem, and thanks to uncontrolled immigration now has a Muslim problem.
Both problems are easily resolved by any government with the courage to do so.
1. Give feral Africans and Muslims of all races 12 months to pack whatever items of purely sentimental value will fit in carry-on luggage and leave the United States for whatever country will give them refuge. All they have of value to become the property of the US government, with proceeds of asset sales to be applied to the national debt.
2. After the 12 months have passed, offer a cash bounty to any individuals who manage to capture, dead or alive, and hand over to law enforcement agencies any Negroes or Muslims who could not or would not comply with the expulsion order. Smaller rewards for any information permitting law enforcement to successfully capture Negroes and Muslims defying the order.
Leave it to the entrepreneurial spirit of Americans to give our black and Muslim neighbours the incentive they need to deport themselves.
Maybe you'd be happier if there were hunting licenses you could apply for and have one season for Muslims and another for Blacks? Good?

Unlike a lot of folks here - I do not believe that the San Bernadino shooting was some kind of conspiracy. I think it was done by two nutjobs who were radicalized. But they are now dead. I am HAPPY with the response provided by the police and the FBI.
If we want to be a FREE nation - we need to accept that some of this stuff will occur. It is not possible to stop every crime, or every small piece of terrorism, before it happens. Not unless we want to lose all of our freedoms. We are Americans, and we DON'T WANT TO LOSE OUR FREEDOMS.
It was pretty obvious, from listening to the POTUS, that Democrats have been preparing some kind of anti-gun agenda for months. They know another incident will happen. And they are ready to trot out their latest 'sterilize America' plan as soon as they get the green light.
What was missing from Pres. Obama's statement was any kind of sensible response. For example, a program to put a lot more armed guards at schools, public buildings, and large public gatherings. This is a lot more likely to stop terrorists. And it would also provide a lot of jobs for Americans who need work!
It's hard to believe that the Administration - and our Congressmen - can stand straight-faced in front of the American public and say this nonsense, especially after Vlad Putin shows live videos of ISIS oil tankers driving straight into Turkey without stopping. For what it's worth, regarding gun grabbers lies about the founding fathers never imagined high capacity magazines:
#1) The Cookston repeating rifle capable of 10 rounds was invented in 1686. Credit inventor John Cookston a British gunsmith from London.
#2) Thomas Jefferson purchased two Girardoni Air Rifles (air used to help propell the bullet) to send along with Lewis and Clark in 1780. These rifles featured a 22 round magazine and were invented in 1778-79. Credit Bartholomaus Girardoni, reportedly an Italian gunsmith and watchmaker.
That being said, these weren't the only inventors working on repeating rifle.
