Trump Polling Lead Surges After Anti-Muslim Comments

Tyler Durden's picture

Donald Trump, GOP frontrunner and self-styled anti-establishment candidate, knows how to entertain.

He also understands that he has built a political brand which garners momentum from the very type of controversy that would sink any other candidate in the field.

When you put those two things together, you have a recipe for bombastic rhetoric designed to hold the electorate in a perpetual state of shock and embed a tiny voice that says “you know, maybe he’s right” in the back of voters’ collective mind.

The genius of Trump is that he’s been remarkably adept at making voters question whether what he says is actually crazy or just sounds that way because Americans have been conditioned to recoil at anything that breaks decorum or sounds like it might not be “PC.” And that plays right into his message. He makes you wonder if it’s you that’s the crazy one. Perhaps you’ve been put in a stupor by years of watered down stump speeches and Trump is just speaking plainly and saying what everyone knows is true but is too scared to say in public. If that’s true, he’s a kind of nationalistic Morpheus trying to pull you out of a dangerous, misplaced multiculturalism Matrix. Or at least that’s what he wants you to think. It could be that he is exactly what his detractors say he is: a demagogue that’s stark raving mad.

As we said earlier this week, voters will ultimately decide what Trump is or isn’t and render their judgement at the polls and make no mistake, the Donald’s controversial suggestion that Muslims should be banned from entering the country has resonated with large swaths of the electorate and a new poll shows that in South Carolina, Trump has opened up a commanding lead since creating a firestorm on Monday.

“It’s no wonder Trump is leading,” GOP mouthpiece Fox News (which has had its differences with Trump this year) says. “He’s ahead among both those who prioritize national security and economic issues.  He’s the top pick among voters on the two most important candidate qualities -- strong leader and, to a lesser degree, honest and trustworthy.  Plus, he’s considered the most electable -- by a lot.”

The poll surveyed 437 likely Republican primary voters by phone from December 5-8. Here are the numbers at a glance:

  • Trump: 35%
  • Carson: 15%
  • Cruz: 14%
  • Rubio: 14%
  • Bush: 5%

Don’t even ask about the rest of the field.

Here’s more from Fox

There’s no gender gap in Trump’s support, as about a third of men (37 percent) and women (32 percent) GOP voters make him their first choice.

The favorites among white evangelical Christians voting in the GOP primary are Trump (34 percent), Carson (18 percent), Cruz (15 percent) and Rubio (12 percent).

Trump holds a wide lead among voters who say national security is their top issue.  He receives 32 percent -- twice the support for Carson, Cruz and Rubio, who each get 16 percent among national security voters.

And those who prioritize economic issues back the same four candidates:  Trump (32 percent), Rubio (14 percent), Carson (12 percent) and Cruz (12 percent).

[In a] 48 percent landslide, Trump got [the nod] when GOP primary voters are asked which Republican candidate is “most qualified” to handle the economy.  No other candidate even garners double digits on this measure.  The next closest are Bush and Cruz at 9 percent each, followed by Rubio at 8 percent.

Strong leadership is the top trait GOP primary voters want in their party’s nominee (26 percent).

Voters who say strong leadership is the most important trait are most likely to support Trump by a wide 23-point margin.

GOP primary voters think Trump is the Republican most likely to beat Clinton in the general election next year. Some 42 percent feel that way.  Next is Rubio at 14 percent.

As for the Democratic ticket, the poll showed that as far as South Carolina voters are concerned, Clinton is essentially running unopposed.

And the punchline: "It looks like his [Muslin ban] comments helped him in South Carolina.  Support for Trump increased eight points after his statement -- from 30 percent the first two nights vs. 38 percent the last two nights."

Trump is also surging in the national polls. According to the latest New York Times, CBS poll, Trump’s support among Republican primary voters has gained 13 pts to 35%, his highest level yet.

Subject: Fwd: DONALD TRUMP: WHAT THEY ALL FEAR MOST!
DONALD TRUMP: WHAT THEY ALL FEAR MOST! William J. Bennett – Host of “Bill Bennett's Morning in America” Show, William J. Bennett, is one of America's most important, influential and respected voices on cultural, political, and education issues. Here’s what he wrote:     Different Take on Trump and to a Lesser Degree Carson             They will kill him before they let him be president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump. Don't be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few.             It's about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media. They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it’s in all of their interests to protect one another. It’s one for all and all for one.             It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich — everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. We’re the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened like never before.             Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.             It’s no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald. It’s because most of the other politicians are part of the “old boys club”. They talk big, but they won’t change a thing. They are all beholden to big-money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations . . . like Big Pharma or Big Oil.             Or they are owned lock, stock and barrel by foreigners, like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary with their Clinton Foundation donations.             These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money. But there’s one man who isn’t beholden to anyone. There’s one man who doesn’t need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Auto Workers, or the teachers’ union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign.             Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help. That means he doesn’t care what the media says. He doesn’t care what the corporate elites think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat to those people. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters.             Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to defund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right?    First, I’d guess many key Republicans are being bribed.    Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs, or secretly gay, or stealing taxpayer money, the National Security Agency knows everything.             Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account. The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They surveil everything.    Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called “racists” . . . so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment. Fourth, why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you’re a “good boy,” you’ve got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win.             But Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business. All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides — but not Trump. Remember: Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama’s birth certificate. He questioned Obama’s college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university. Now, he’s doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do. He’s questioning our relationship with Mexico; he’s questioning why the border is wide open; he’s questioning why no wall has been built across the border; he’s questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; he’s questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and he’s questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.             Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question! I’m certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website. By the way, that tab is now up to $5 billion. Trump will ask if Obamacare’s architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. Trump will investigate Obama’s widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama’s college records. Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election. How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election?             Obama, the multinational corporations, and the media need to stop Trump. They recognize this could get out of control. If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant. Trump’s election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute. He will not hesitate. Once Trump gets in and gets a look at “the cooked books” and Obama’s records, the game is over. The gig is up. The goose is cooked. Holder could wind up in prison. Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money. Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails, or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for “misplacing” $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi. The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison.   Obamacare will be defunded and dismantled. And Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters.             Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved. That’s why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump. Yes, it’s become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they can’t silence him. And they sure can’t intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that he’s the one telling the truth.

Oxygen that has always been consumed by the poisonous BAU of the Democratic and Republican Parties.  NO one is talking about Hillary Clinton, No one is talking about Jeb Bush, or any other establishment candidate.

This is beautiful to behold and a real Christmas gift to the American people.

This is another lovely bit of propaganda, I agree with it at some visceral level.

Indeed, Trump stole the entire Neocon playbook, and apparently was using it against their candidates. They were helpless because they couldn't argue reality, obviously contrary to the propaganda and the policies of Israeli-Neocon, ones necessary to complete the takeover of the US and continuing military hegemony of the entire world.

But 'smack the media in their lying face'.  Not so much, as Trump continues the main themes of Muslims being bad guys, and whatever else will keep the world's mind off the fact that 9/11 was a false flag operation against the American people, and the simply amazing success of that line of politics and kleptocracy.

Actually it's not " a tiny voice that says “you know, maybe he’s right” in the back of voters’ collective mind."

Rather the tiny voice is now saying to voters "you know, maybe YOU'RE right".

On all of his signature issues Trump is saying what a large proportion of the public believes but which the combined political and media class has told them is verboten and stupid.

Because Trump has said it unapologetically and refused to back down, he is validating the judgement of huge numbers of people who then see him as the only candidate, indeed almost the only politician, aligned with them.

Trump is unleashing the silent majority long suppressed by the political class.

I'll be honest, I don't trust Trump bc he's an executive meaning he's used to having direct full power over his businesses. And I despise liberals and Democrats with a burning passion.

But this poll increase just goes to show that people are starting to get tired of the PC and Racism Madness mantra spouted by statists and liberals.

If you want a good profession-related reason to be wary of Trump, it's because he's a salesman, not an executive - and he's an incredible salesman. Everything he says comes right out of the book of sales techniques, there's no well-considered philosophy behind it, and his commitment is only as deep as required to make the sale.

Last night I went looking at the Libertarian Party site for their position on 9/11.  "Terrible tragedy" kind of statements.

Reason.com has such wonderfully important articles as "9/11 and NY's new skyline". Cutting edge insights, I am sure.

So the US has no major or even minor institutions that can stand up to the propaganda.

You have to give them the benefit of some doubts, I guess.  The great majority are liberal arts majors of some kind, they don't have to deal with external reality in their traiing, their world is entirely socially-defined.

The Quran makes it clear that Islam is not about universal brotherhood, but about the brotherhood of believers:

The Believers are but a single Brotherhood (49:10)

Not all men are equal under Islam.  Slaves and the handicapped are not equal to healthy free men, for example (16:75-76).  The Quran introduces the “Law of Equality,” which establishes different levels of human value when considering certain matters, such as restitution for murder (2:178).

Neither are Muslim believers equal to non-Muslims:

Are those who know equal to those who know not? (39:09)

Is the blind equal to the one who sees"  Or darkness equal to light? (13:16)

A believing slave is superior to an unbeliever (2:221)

The Quran plainly tells Muslims that they are a favored race, while those of other religions are “perverted transgressors”:

Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book [Christians and Jews] had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. (3:110)

As we shall see later, Allah condemns non-Muslims to Hell based merely on their unbelief, while believers are rewarded with the finest earthly comforts in the hereafter, including never-ending food, wine and sex (56:12-40).

Much of the Quran is devoted to distinguishing Muslims from non-Muslims and impugning the latter.  Among other things, non-Muslims are said to be diseased (2:10), perverse (2:99), stupid (2:171) and deceitful (3:73).

The first sura of the Quran is a short prayer that is repeated by devout Muslims each day and ends with these words:

Keep us on the right path. The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. (1:6-7)

Muhammad was once asked if this pertained to Jews and Christians.  His response was, "Whom else?" (Bukhari 56:662).

Since Allah makes such a strong distinction between Muslims and those outside the faith, it is only natural that Muslims should incorporate disparate standards of treatment into their daily lives.  The Quran tells Muslims to be compassionate with one another but ruthless to the infidel:

Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are severe against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves (48:29)

But, even if all of that were anything other than cherry-picking text from a Holy Book, the facts of the matter are that we are 58 times more likely to be killed in the US by a policeman than by a Muslim.

So it would seem that Muslims are a lot less religious than American Christians, because Christians have the same kind of phrases, and here in the US we kill at far higher rates, even relative to police.

Has it ever occurred to you that we have "Islamic extremism" BECAUSE WE ARE AT WAR WITH THEM?!

It is simply amazing how simple Americans have become. Why do we care about who leads Syria, Libya, Iran, Iraq...the greatest threat to America comes form our southern border, period.

We sell the Middle East all these weapons, we assassinate their leaders, install puppet governments, and for what, because Israel and its zionist backers demand it.

But geniuses like you make this about Muslims?! Is the idea of cause and effect totally alien to you?

Yeah genius, they are at war with us all right. They've been at war with EVERYBODY for over 1300 years.

The Myth:

Muhammad was a peaceful man who taught his followers to be the same.  Muslims lived peacefully for centuries, fighting only in self-defense, and only when it was necessary.  True Muslims would never act aggressively.

The Truth:

There shouldn't be any argument over who the "true Muslim" is because the Quran clearly distinguishes the true Muslim from the pretender in Sura 9 and elsewhere.  According to this - one of the last chapters of the Quran - the true believer "strives and fights with their wealth and persons" while the hypocrites are those who "sit at home," refusing to join the jihad against unbelievers in foreign lands.

In truth, Muhammad organized 65 military campaigns in the last ten years of his life and personally led 27 of them.  The more power that he attained, the smaller the excuse needed to go to battle, until finally he began attacking tribes merely because they were not yet part of his growing empire.

After Muhammad’s death, his successor immediately went to war with former allied tribes which wanted to go their own way.  Abu Bakr called them 'apostates' and slaughtered anyone who did not want to remain Muslim.  Eventually, he was successful in holding the empire together through blood and violence....

Muhammad left his men with instructions to take the battle against Christians, Persians, Jews and polytheists (which came to include millions of unfortunate Hindus).  For the next four centuries, Muslim armies steamrolled over unsuspecting neighbors, plundering them of loot and slaves, and forcing the survivors to either convert or pay tribute at the point of a sword.

Companions of Muhammad lived to see Islam declare war on every major religion in the world in just the first few decades following his death - pressing the Jihad against Hindus, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, and Buddhists.

By the time of the Crusades (when the Europeans began fighting back), Muslims had conquered two-thirds of the Christian world by sword, from Syria to Spain, and across North Africa.  Millions of Christians were enslaved by Muslims, and tens of millions of Africans.  The Arab slave-trading routes would stay open for 1300 years until pressure from Christian-based countries forced Islamic nations to declare the practice illegal (in theory).  To this day, the Muslim world has never apologized for the victims of Jihad and slavery.

There is not another religion in the world that consistently produces terrorism in the name of God as does Islam.  The most dangerous Muslims are nearly always those who interpret the Quran most transparently.  They are the fundamentalists or purists of the faith, and believe in Muhammad’s mandate to spread Islamic rule by the sword, putting to death those who will not submit.  In the absence of true infidels, they will even turn on each other.

The holy texts of Islam are saturated with verses of violence and hatred toward those outside the faith, as well as the aforementioned "hypocrites" (Muslims who don't act like Muslims).  In sharp contrast to the Bible, which generally moves from relatively violent episodes to far more peaceful mandates, the Quran travels the exact opposite path (violence is first forbidden, then permitted, then mandatory).  The handful of earlier verses that speak of tolerance are overwhelmed by an avalanche of later ones that carry a much different message.  While Old Testament verses of blood and guts are generally bound by historical context within the text itself, Quranic imperatives to violence usually appear open-ended and subject to personal interpretation.

From the history of the faith to its most sacred writings, those who want to believe in "peaceful Islam" have a lot more to ignore than do the terrorists.  By any objective measure, the "Religion of Peace" has been the harshest, bloodiest religion the world has ever known.  In Islam there is no peace unless Muslims have power - and even then...

I do believe you have not read much history.

The history of Europe is as bad as anything you cite.  Recall the crusade that took a bit of a detour in order to kill a million French Cathars, heretics of some sort?

And all of the wars of dynasty and empire in Europe and the US were justified in religion, lots of scripture.

Such BS, and you appear to believe it.  Go read some history and contemplate the peaceful nature of actual Muslims living among us.  Even really religious Muslims.

I had a consulting job a few years ago where I worked with a Muslim who prayed 5x per day.  Nice guy, liked him a lot. I deal with Muslims nearly every time I go out, and mostly don't know it.  I am sure that many of the ME restaurants are run by Muslims, but don't worry about poison because I have never heard of such a case.

People.  Focus on people as reality, and then try to understand the world.  Focusing on texts of any kind to understand the world is very error-prone.  Note the failure rate of civilization that has resulted from our best minds doing what you are doing.

There seems to be no substitute for reality in making good decisions to improve your future.  We didn't build civiliztion on Holy books, we built it on science and engineering.

Only a National Socialist moron in a race war against the White race would believe that banning Muslim immigration is unAmerican.

Yes. We are National Socialists and the White Race is just now beginning to realize that they have been in a race war launched by Progressives almost a century ago. Racism is a necessary part of National Socialism. It is used to mobilize the masses.

Now you are seeing the very beginning of a massive and perhaps extremely violent counter revolution starting to reinstate Capitalism and a Republican form of government. The MSM and Progressives and Cronies are scared to death because they realize they will pay for what they have done.

In the end you will see a massive change in our Constitution, to include reinstatement of state libel and defamation law, term limits, the end of administrative regulations, balanced budget amendment, popular impeachment of Supreme Court justices and federal judges, strong limitations on commerce clause power and the ability to bribe states, and most of all anyone on welfare no longer can vote until they pay back the aid received.

These fixes will put an end to Progressive and National Socialist policies and their race war.

I don't see how Rubio could be trusted with anything having to do with the economy. Even with all his preferential insider information he still can't even manage his own finances. How's he supposed to be trusted to manage ours? Not to mention he looks like he's 10 years out of high school. Try again in a decade maybe Marco. Forget Bush. The name Bush is forever banned from any serious political office again after GW. Jeb couldn't even be elected dog catcher because of his brother's disastrous reign. It's preposterous that him or his handlers don't understand that. Carson has a creepy vibe to him that most people can't quite put their finger on. He would make a great cabinet member in Trump's administration but other than that forget it. Cruz is also out because he has zero cross party support, not to mention his wife is connected to JPM and the squid which means by default so is he.

All Trump needs to do to win the election is get 10-15% of the black vote and it's all over for anyone else and imo he already has well over that amount. I shudder to think what will happen in this nation if the RNC plays any dirty tricks or the establishment in general tries to usurp the election process so that Trump can't win. People are paying attention to this one folks. Even people in my family that usually don't care a piss for politics are getting riled up to support Trump. Lots of dems are crossing over too. The establishment is petrified and is thinking of every dirty trick they can to usurp this process. The desperation in DC is palpable. I still think they don't understand the implications of what will happen if they do - American Spring imo. Maybe that's the goal of the end game anyway.

There is a dawning awakening in the black community that the mass importation of foreigners to replace American labor is having severely deleterious effect on the black community's chances at achieving anything approximating middle class lifestyle. There is growing resentment at watching hundreds of thousands of Asians and Latinos effortlessly enter the country and slide into the middle class while they're consigned to life in poverty-riddled ghettos. We can talk about the causes all the livelong day, in the end, the perception in the black community is that they are getting left behind... again.

c) latino employers think latinos and asians are more employable than blacks,

d) asian employers think latinos and asians are more employable than blacks,

e) politically correct employers think latinos and asians are more employble than blacks

point is, if you are a democrat there is no such thing as discrimination since they have succesfully abolished it - if you are a republican then there damned well ought to be discirimination since some white guy has been disadvantaged, if you are black and hqave no job, you are unemployable and need the full backing of the federal government to lift you into a lifestyle that someone (english, irish, polish, italian, asian, latino, indian, moslem, other european, canadian, japanese, etc etc) has stopped you from getting AND that you were entitled to (above and beyond any other english, irish, polis, italian, latino, etc etc).

Enjoy the ride. It really doesn't matter who wins. With the global debt and 'race to the bottom' going on in currencies, the financial system IS going to implode. After the reset, it will be the countries that are the most self-sufficient that do the best and get to recovery first. It doesn't matter who is President, or who is the leader of any country, because the agenda is being controlled by those creating crises.

Of course that "NWO" elite cadre will want to use the financial crisis to set up a world government with them in charge. You see, they have used a 3-prong attack. The first thrust is Global Warming which was to use taxation and global laws to control people by limiting their access to cheap energy. That did not go as planned, although it is still making headway. The second prong is the placement of radical disruptive and violent elements in every region to use 'security concerns' to put a lid on everyone. The final prong is to gain control by destroying the financial system (which is only paper and numbers anyway) when they have or control most of the real productive assets.

The answer to all this is... oh, wait. Football is on. I'll finish this later.

I believe it's to cut taxes for everyone including corporations and the very wealthy. Assuming he does even half of what he says he will, the bottom 90% will elect themselves into an ever growing wealth divide not to mention an ever growing deficit and national debt. Not saying that hasn't already happened but with Trump it's clear as day.

"When you put those two things together, you have a recipe for bombastic rhetoric designed to hold the electorate in a perpetual state of shock and embed a tiny voice that says “you know, maybe he’s right” in the back of voters’ collective mind"

Speaking truth isn't bombastic. Bombastic is saying "climate change" conference is a "rebuke to terrorists".

The electoriate isn't in shock, perpetual or otherwise, live Americans with at least half a brain, are pissed off because of all the stab wounds in their back.

"The genius of Trump is that he’s been remarkably adept at making voters question whether what he says is actually crazy or just sounds that way because Americans have been conditioned to recoil at anything that breaks decorum or sounds like it might not be “PC.”"

BS. "The genius of Trump" is that he's midas rich and thus can flip off elite squish/commie donors that have the progressive mental disease or are paid by a globalist elite. There are no "question" about the "actually crazy". All his statements ring true if one is a American that believes in the rule of law, ethics, honor, courage, honesty, morality, logic, good is better than evil, Christian civilization based on all the previous and not a cult that requires one to convert or die.

"It could be that he is exactly what his detractors say he is: a demagogue that’s stark raving mad."

That's true. However, we know that those currently runnng our country into the ground, Current administration, GOPe, DIMe, lamestream media, and all their toady sychophants are "stark raving mad" and don't care if we're murdered at our Christmas parties as long as they get to have body guarded limo service to their gated communites to get ready for the "cool" party tonite with their peers.

"GOP mouthpiece Fox News"

BS. Faux news is as much in the tank for the GOPe-DIMe as is msnbc. They just have a better bean counter department that realizes there is a ignored part of the electorate that enjoys the red meat of the "democratic" processes in a Republic that isn't totally slanted/fraudulent/in your face lying, that defies all logic, ethic, and morality, that advocates a suicide pact rather than survial of the fittest.

That's good iinformation on th SC poll. IMO, it shows there ought to be at the most 6 candidates on the next Republican stage. With that in mind, only two on the dim debate stage with the others represented by the empty chair with a purple suit laying on it.

Fed up with politics as usual.

Fed up with liars, corruption and politicians beholden to corporations, special interest groups, big money, and not the US taxpayers, citizens.

Fed up with neocon warmongongers in both parties that are pushing US foreign policy and NATO towards WWIII and the death of the planet. Fed up with these same morons consistantly feeding us GW bullshit as though this will matter during a 20,000 year long nuclear winter.

Fed up with anything "politically correct" and spineless politicians that are too afraid to say what they really feel. Fed up with trillions of our hard earned taxpayer dollars going to countries that hate us. Like hundreds of millions of dollars going to so-called moderate maggots that will "next week" give this money to Al Queda or ISIS when they switch alliances. These same politicians giving away our money to maggots don't give a shit that Social Security will be bankrupt for baby boomers.

Fed up with politicians that feel they are "dynastically entitled" to be president. Bush & Clinton!

Fed up with business as usual in Washington, DC.

This is why I am voting for Donald!

You realize Trumps tax plan will disproportionately cut taxes for the rich and corporations right? leading to an even greater wealth gap and corporate control of the country? I'm not saying this isn't happening already but a savior for the disenfranchised and middle class is something he certainly is not.  I for one find it hilarious that it's those people who are so loudly in favor of his presidency.

Who are the ones who employ people?   Poor people?  Poor Companies?

Have you ever worked for a poor company, one that doesn't make any money?

Too many progressives believe that taxation is the path to their own prosperity, but it isn't.  It's the path to socalism.   And socalism doesn't work, it brings everyone down to the level of the lowest.

However socalism does work in the SHORT run.  It works for the few years when they plunder the riches.   But after those riches are gone?  What then?

you're advocating for the system that's already in place. As far as I know that system hasn't worked. Power and money has been consolidating at the top for decades. I'm not advocating for another candidate that 's on the ballots already, I am saying Trump isn't the answer.  Just because he's on TV, he's a celebrity and good orator? He has no real plans, he came from priveledge, he made alot of money screwing over people and destroying communities, personally ammassed great wealth exploiting the corrupt system you're supporting, preying on people's fears, advocating massive DoD spending and insular foreign policy? wake up.
