Trump Takes Nation By Storm: More Americans Agree With Muslim Ban Than Reject It
In case you were confused how it is that Donald Trump's polling numbers could increase following his Muslim-ban comments (which have beeen widely denigrated by any and all talking head who can fog a mirror - from The White House down...), here is the "surely not us?" answer.
As The Hill reports, a new post-Trump survey by Rasmussed finds that 46% of likely voters would favor a policy preventing Muslim immigrants from entering the country until tighter screening procedures can be implemented, while only 40% would oppose such a measure.
In direct opposition to what The White House said (that Trump’s proposal is "totally contrary to our values as Americans,") it is apparent from this survey that the Obama Administration does not know its 'constituents' as well as it may have thought.
Simply put, based on this poll, more Americans - republicans and democrats - support Trump's idea of banning the entry of Muslims into America than oppose it, and now that it is 'polling' as a populist idea, we await Hillary Clinton to jump on the bandwagon.

Reagan's #1priority was the task of defeating the USSR and removing the existential threat of mutual nuclear destruction. He did that, amazingly without a war and the loss of American lives.
His second priority was to stop rampant inflation and get the US economy firing again. He backed Volker on inflation and got the US economy racing again.
His third priority, related to the other two, was to get Americans believing in their country again. That also he did.
He might reasonably expect that having achieved all of those his successors would continue on making more conservative changes.
He set Bush I up for an easy win on Reagan's coattails. Papa Bush, of the "Read my lips, no new taxes" claim, proceeded to prove himself a liar, antagonize conservatives so Perot entered the race and gave the presidency to Clinton.
The US now faces the existential threat of being swamped by third world illegals and muslims (also 3rd world), while the federal government stretches its tentacles into everyone's lives, ostensibly to save them from the danger of those it is importing, while leftist PC cant is shoved down everyone's throat.
If the Dems succeed in swamping the US with their 3rd world dependants, they really will be in power forever and the US will be gone.
Combating that is Trump's primary task and one that clearly much of America supports. In addition he will reverse the erosion of the US economy to other countries, because that is like breathing for him.

It’s no surprise that a wide range of Jewish groups , including the Israel Policy Forum (which oddly doesn’t recommend Muslim immigration to Israel), were outraged:
It’s interesting that quite a bit of the motivation for the 1924 immigration cutoff was because of the common perception (and reality) that Jewish immigrants in particular were sympathetic to communism and the far left — attitudes that were entirely mainstream in the Jewish community of the era, at a time when Bolshevik brutality was on the minds of informed people throughout the West, and when Jewish organizations had their hands full trying to counter the image of the Jewish radical.
The 1924 law, of course, did not specify Jewish groups, but called for an immigration moratorium in general. So if singling out a group offends people’s “basic values” — even if singling them out is entirely rational — perhaps a more palatable idea would be to cut off immigration completely. Pretty obviously, US immigration policy has nothing to do with economic needs (for one thing, it never slowed down at all during the recent recession), but is rather intended to increase non-Whites at the expense of the White population. But of course, Jewish groups would be even more outraged at cutting off immigration completely.
Make no mistake about it, if Trump is nominated, there will be an unprecedented bombardment of propaganda against him that will make the 1964 anti-Goldwater campaign look tame by comparison. But, given the steadily falling White percentage of the electorate (definitely a design feature of the current policy), this may be the last chance for Whites to elect a president who represents their interests. I suspect that quite a bit of the Republican Jewish Coalition money will actively support Hillary, and others will sit on their hands. Not only are Trump’s declarations on immigration and refugees anathema to them, he has not toed the neocon lines on Syria, the Iraq war, or Putin. His speech at the recent RJC forum (where he also deviated from Israel Lobby positions on Israel’s supposed commitment to peace with the Palestinians and placing Israel’s capital in Jerusalem) was basically a statement to the effect that “I don’t need your money; I am way ahead in the polls, so get used to it.” To put it mildly, the RJC is not used to such chutzpah. The unprincipled Marco Rubio, who will do anything for their money, is much more acceptable.
Trump is calling into question the entire worldview that pervades our hostile elites. And that is unforgivable.

I agree with Trump. It's completely reasonable, even in our own personal lives, to stop and reflect, seek guidance and information, before making major decisions. But we don't have a reasonable government. Haven't we learned that our government ought not be trusted with major decisions? Haven't we seen that ususally, these days, when the government does do something, there's a sinsiter agenda behind it? Duh.
In our personal lives it still considered OK to discriminate and generalize and to exercise common sense. Progressives aren't yet demanding that we allow ex-convicts equal opportunity to babysit our children, for example. Only on the political level does this insanity exist that says "thou shalt not discriminate - discrimination is bad". In reality, discrimination is common sense and the foundation of everything humans have. Our language is based on drawing arbitrary borders (we'll call this a "tree", that a "rock", etc -- all completely arbitrary and not truthful). Our survival ability require discrimination (most bears kill humans, so I'll avoid bears; this plant tends to make humans less fit, so I won't eat it; niggers tend to be more violent, so I'll avoid walking through the ghetto at night). And our successes are based on discrimination as well (knowing how to read people and interact with them, generally -- without getting to know every detail or nuance about them).
