War Is On The Horizon: Is It Too Late To Stop It?

Tyler Durden's picture

Authored by Paul Craig Roberts,

One lesson from military history is that once mobilization for war begins, it takes on a momentum of its own and is uncontrollable.

This might be what is occuring unrecognized before our eyes.

In his September 28 speech at the 70th Anniversity of the United Nations, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia can no longer tolerate the state of affairs in the world. Two days later at the invitation of the Syrian government Russia began war against ISIS.

Russia was quickly successful in destroying ISIS arms depots and helping the Syrian army to roll back ISIS gains. Russia also destroyed thousands of oil tankers, the contents of which were financing ISIS by transporting stolen Syrian oil to Turkey where it is sold to the family of the current gangster who rules Turkey.

Washington was caught off guard by Russia’s decisiveness. Fearful that the quick success of such decisive action by Russia would discourage Washington’s NATO vassals from continuing to support Washington’s war against Assad and Washington’s use of its puppet government in Kiev to pressure Russia, Washington arranged for Turkey to shoot down a Russian fighter-bomber despite the agreement between Russia and NATO that there would be no air-to-air encounters in Russia’s area of air operation in Syria.

Although denying all responsibility, Washington used Russia’s low key response to the attack, for which Turkey did not apologize, to reassure Europe that Russia is a paper tiger. The Western presstitutes trumpeted: “Russia A Paper Tiger.”

The Russian government’s low key response to the provocation was used by Washington to reassure Europe that there is no risk in continuing to pressure Russia in the Middle East, Ukraine, Georgia, Montenegro, and elsewhere. Washington’s attack on Assad’s military is being used to reinforce the belief that is being inculcated in European governments that Russia’s responsible behavior to avoid war is a sign of fear and weakness.

It is unclear to what extent the Russian and Chinese governments understand that their independent policies, reaffirmed by the Russian and Chinese presidents On September 28, are regarded by Washington as “existential threats” to US hegemony.

The basis of US foreign policy is the commitment to prevent the rise of powers capable of constraining Washington’s unilateral action. The ability of Russia and China to do this makes them both a target.

Washington is not opposed to terrorism. Washington has been purposely creating terrorism for many years. Terrorism is a weapon that Washington intends to use to destabilize Russia and China by exporting it to the Muslim populations in Russia and China.

Washington is using Syria, as it used Ukraine, to demonstrate Russia’s impotence to Europe— and to China, as an impotent Russia is less attractive to China as an ally.

For Russia, responsible response to provocation has become a liability, because it encourages more provocation.

In other words, Washington and the gullibility of its European vassals have put humanity in a very dangerous situation, as the only choices left to Russia and China are to accept American vassalage or to prepare for war.

Putin must be respected for putting more value on human life than do Washington and its European vassals and avoiding military responses to provocations. However, Russia must do something to make the NATO countries aware that there are serious costs of their accommodation of Washington’s aggression against Russia. For example, the Russian government could decide that it makes no sense to sell energy to European countries that are in a de facto state of war against Russia. With winter upon us, the Russian government could announce that Russia does not sell energy to NATO member countries. Russia would lose the money, but that is cheaper than losing one’s sovereignty or a war.

To end the conflict in Ukraine, or to escalate it to a level beyond Europe’s willingness to participate, Russia could accept the requests of the breakaway provinces to be reunited with Russia. For Kiev to continue the conflict, Ukraine would have to attack Russia herself.

The Russian government has relied on responsible, non-provocative responses. Russia has taken the diplomatic approach, relying on European governments coming to their senses, realizing that their national interests diverge from Washington’s, and ceasing to enable Washington’s hegemonic policy. Russia’s policy has failed. To repeat, Russia’s low key, responsible responses have been used by Washington to paint Russia as a paper tiger that no one needs to fear.

We are left with the paradox that Russia’s determination to avoid war is leading directly to war.

Whether or not the Russian media, Russian people, and the entirety of the Russian government understand this, it must be obvious to the Russian military. All that Russian military leaders need to do is to look at the composition of the forces sent by NATO to “combat ISIS.” As George Abert notes, the American, French, and British aircraft that have been deployed are jet fighters whose purpose is air-to-air combat, not ground attack. The jet fighters are not deployed to attack ISIS on the ground, but to threaten the Russian fighter-bombers that are attacking ISIS ground targets.

There is no doubt that Washington is driving the world toward Armageddon, and Europe is the enabler. Washington’s bought-and-paid-for-puppets in Germany, France, and UK are either stupid, unconcerned, or powerless to escape from Washington’s grip. Unless Russia can wake up Europe, war is inevitable.

Have the totally evil, dumbshit neocon warmongers who control the US government taught Putin that war is inevitable?

What's really odd about millions of American sheeple is they are certain of two things:

1) The US military is the best in the world.

2) A group of 19 Arabs with box cutters took out three buildings in NYC and the Pentagon in DC and we were powerless to stop them.

Now, what's wrong with that picture? Hint: It gives a massive clue as to how delusional as a society we've become when some of our strongest beliefs cannot coexist at the same time yet aren't even questioned.

"As George Abert notes, the American, French, and British aircraft that have been deployed are jet fighters whose purpose is air-to-air combat, not ground attack. "

This statement is clearly false.

Half of french fighter deployed are Mirage 2000 D and N, specialised in ground attack.

Rafale fighters are also multi-role aircraft no specialized in air-to-air combat and are usually deployed only with IR defensive air-to-air missile.

Recently, britain deployed Tornado bombers in Cyprus.

And the US deployed A10 in Turkey.

This is currently happening on British Warships. Tech glitches stop fire control systems from working at all. It is insane - now it is impossible to make a lethal lump of metal fly towards the enemy simply by hitting a lever. The computer must permit it. We are fucked. Hundreds of millions spent on shiny ships with immaculately mannered Commanding officers and the vessels is completely useless.

These are the best documentaries you'll ever see on the horrors of nuclear MAD; they explain the machinations of an attack.

Q.E.D. - A Guide To Armageddon - Nuclear War Documentary (1982)
Broadcast in 1982, A Guide to Armageddon was the eighth episode of the first season of the BBC science documentary series, Q.E.D., and demonstrates the effects of a one megaton nuclear bomb being exploded over London.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GJttnC8PoA

The War Game (1965)
The War Game is a fictional, worst-case-scenario docu-drama about nuclear war and its aftermath in and around a typical English city. Although it won an Oscar for Best Documentary, it is fiction. It was intended as an hour-long program to air on BBC 1, but it was deemed too intense and violent to broadcast. It went to theatrical distribution as a feature film instead. Low-budget and shot on location, it strives for and achieves convincing and unflinching realism.

Just thought I would mention the excellent book by Cresson Kearny....Nuclear War Survival Skills.   I bought it in the mid seventies.  It was with great sadness that I dug it out of my boxes and reread it about six or seven years ago. Currently shopping for a reliable but reasonably priced geiger counter.

Don't get lax about preparing for a nuclear war.  I am sad to say that Russia, Red China and America each have multiple strategies regarding the use of nuclear weapons.  Probably the same can be said for Israel, England, Pakistan, India and France or any other nuclear armed nation though I am not certain.

Most of the population of this planet would still be around after an all out exchange.  For them life will never be the same but they will have their lives and they will go on living.  The scary part is that those who have nuclear weapons know this so the science fiction "On the Beach" outcomes are not deterrence.

Nuclear weapons have much more utility than chemical or biological ones.  They can easily be perceived as an equalizer for one or more belligerents.

What makes this a possibility is the mindset of the leaders of Nato nations.  Either they are all little more than sock puppets doing as told or they are sociopaths grasping at the last straws of power.  Very desperate people. Very dangerous people.

The exchange of nuclear missiles will be survived by many people. The uncontained loss of many nuclear power plants (and their spent fuel storage pools) after EMP strikes will not be survivable.

There are over 460 plants around the world ... 99 of them in the USA. All of them rely on active safety systems. IE. the generators, pumps and other systems need to continue to work.

After an EMP they will not work, or even if shielded, the backup power generators will be out of fuel in a short while. After an EMP, no transport will be running to deliver more fuel. Result ... many failures on the scale of Fukashima.

End of Life Event for the planet.

"Don't get lax about preparing for a nuclear war."

Our DC Beltway and NYC elites are wildly delusional about "their" ability to win a nuclear war. They listen only to the defense contractors. In fact the West's elites are the prime target in a nuclear war, and even though a small and select strata might have time to hide in a deep bunker, the vast substrata that supports them, runs their bureaucracies and mans their deep state will certainly be annihilated.

No intelligent power like Russia is likely to waste a perfectly good nuke on Paducah Kentucky, but it is certain that the entire population of Manhattan Island, and the DC beltway will be vaporized along with West Los Angeles (propaganda production central) and Silly Valley. The effluvia of the silos in Iowa and Nebraska can be intercepted. Remarkably, our elites and their supporting substrata still believe that the main combatants will be rural boys from Texas and Tennessee which in a strange turn of justice will be the safest places to hide. Our 400 or so billionaire oligarchs who control this country are concentrated in about 20 zip codes. Do you really think that Russia hasn't already targeted them? The whole point of nuclear war is to decapitate the regime but spare the resources and general population for future use and the real regime, the oligarchs, occupy a modest amount of territory.

The nuclear war our elites seek to provoke will be the first in nearly a thousand years in which the elites themselves will be on the front lines of the combat.

Hang on tight to you tin foil hat!

Extract from the interview of Stanley Kubrick 1998, held secret until just now 12-08-2015 !

In it, he admits he faked all moon landings on film for your space agency / gov.

All the lies and frauds have to come to the surface before the author will get on the stage soon. That's just one little puzzle piece, but ... it could become BIG.

Its how all the big frauds started.

If the moon fraud would not have worked, history would be very different because it embolded them to go on and on and bigger and bigger - 9/11 - everything will blow up in a few mushroom clouds.

If this story would make the MSM (which I doubt) it would have the potential to domino start the deterioration of confidence.

Just a little confirmation, more and more people everyday are allowed to take off their tinfoil hats and become vindicated.

Of course most people are not awake yet to deal with the repercussions of accepting the truth, thats the main culprit, the real enabler of all frauds.

Interview excerpts:

Kubrick: "The conspiracy theorists were right, on this occasion."

Kubrick: "I perpetrated a huge fraud on the American public, which I am now about to detail, involving the United States government and NASA, that the moon landings were faked, that the moon landings ALL were faked , and that I was the person who filmed it."

Kubrick: "A, a, a, massive fraud. An unparalleled fraud perpetrated against them. They SHOULD know! Don't you think it's important for people to know the truth?"

Filmmaker: "Are you contending that people DON'T want to know the truth about the world, reality, the moon landings...?"

Kubrick: "The government, knowing this, takes advantage of it by perpetrating fraud after fraud after fraud."

lmmaker: "Why did they have to fake it? Why would they have to do that?"

Kubrick: "Because it is impossible to get there."

Interview: https://vimeo.com/148297544

It needs some patience and nerve to watch it though. Probably a pleasure for the SK fans I guess.

You can skip to the 17:00 Min. mark.

14 downvotes ?

the fraud of the moonlandings is so obvious - but like in the drug war, the fraud of making the cannabis plant a demon "drug" that should be credibly made illegal and punishable by long prison sentences is also so obvious - the fact that we're 70 years plus into the fraud of illegal cannabis is demonstrating how malleable human though and will are.

The cannabis "crime" fraud hoax is the backbone for the sicko fraudulent drug war enabling the Big PHarma INquisition  - just as the fraudulent hoax NASA moon landing and International Space Station hoax fraud are the backbone to the science cult fraud.

It is EASIER to fool someone than to show that someone that they have been fooled.

That's why the old story "Emperer's New Clothes" is the most important story the people should always convey and tell every year to their tribes.  It shows how the 99.9% of people, for whatever reasons, are NOT blind - but are not ready to admit the fraud that the Emperor has NO clothes.  It's hoax alright, but they won't admit it, until a youth states the obvious.  In today's version of that story, the Power Structure uses assassinations, smears and shunning, etc. to eliminate that "youth" or "Whistleblower" or whatever word you want to use to call out the fraudulent Big Lie hoax.

I will assemble a long list of links to the many thousands of links now available on youtube to make it easy for us to admit the fraud.  The MATRIX is crumbling.  NEO won.

It's hard i know, admitting the Emperor has no clothes - but as Michael C Ruppert said in his last year, " The Emperor Has No Clothes and is committing (i can't remember the exact word, but it means extremely indecent scandalous acts)

Part of the difficulty admitting that you have been fooled is you have to admit you've been conned.  That means that because you partook of the fraud you are somewhat involved.

In any case, collectively we've dug outselves a deep pit of shitshow and as always the case, the first step to get out is to stop digging lest we die from overshit exposure.

Admit the fraud open your eyes forgive yourself but do not forget what is done.

BE LOVE

The hoax scenario is that the rockets went up into orbit but the capsule never left orbit for the moon. Instead they faked aproaching the moon and the distance to the earth by using basic movie special efects (like covering the windows with overlays) to create the intended effect.

Since NASA controlled the radio relay system they could very well fake radiosignals from the moon.

There are several red flags about the moon-landing story that deserves scrutiny. Like the Saturn rockets that were supposed to be so amazing and they "lost" the blueprints so the spaceshuttles had to use an inferior rocket. Or the van Alderen belt and how they passed through that without serious implications for the astronauts during a period of high solar activity (high radiactivity).  Or that the Soviets were the number 1 in performing several feats in the space race but somehow NEVER landed on the moon. Yet the USA manages to pull it off on the first attempt.

Am I saying its a definitive hoax? No, but there are as I say several red flags that it might indeed have been the greatest propaganda psyop in history.

Soviets were actually winning the global race and certain powers wanted to put USA back to keep polarity. Kubrick was tribesman.

Same certain powers who made sure that Stalin got atomic bomb asap to keep polarity and then played both sides until now.

of course the success of the rocket launch is great - but do not prove anything.  There is NO video proof of any rocket going out of LEO (low earth orbit).

JUst like last Sunday's successful launch, the rocket is shown to go up to 125 miles then off over the ocean and then a computer simulation is shown the rest of the way.  that was ATLAS V.

Work that people did of course believe their work is for real.  It's called compartmentalization.  It's the way $Trillions of wealth has been funnneled toward NASA.  It's always hardest to those whose paychex rely on to understand or admit that the greater cause may not be all it's claimed to  be.

Whether man landed on the moon or not (we left equipment there to measure the moon's distance from Earth - Japanese probe took photos of all apollo landing sites,) it is plausible that the film did not survive the conditions. The landings could have been re-filmed for the mass media, but even if the photos are fakes, that does not prove man never landed on the moon.

exactly - "science" tells us the sun is 93 million miles away.

That never sounded right.  We were just too busy with our own lives to pay attention - until recently.  The dam has broken - the moon is NOT 232,000 miles away either.

Accurate measurement puts the sun & moon at the 3,000 to 4,000 miles away distance from the earth's surface.

Get ready for some attitude adjustments.

Yes, i have seen the light beams through the clouds spreading apart too much. Let's say the affected cloud area is some couple miles wide. At the center, the beams go straight down; then from the middle, the beams gradually take wider angles at both ends.

I had also wondered, why all the beams wouldn't come straight down in parallel.

What the heck? What do you suggest, is the sun a small object and very near? Appreciate your response.

Can you reference a claim of using a jet engine in space? Rockets, typically using solid fuel, and thrusters are the mode of transportation within space. See Newton's 3rd Law and concepts like "conservation of energy/momentum" for explainations as to why that is.

I have no idea what you're talking about with regards to light. Light is scattered by clouds and refracted by humidity and colloids. Next time you observe a rainbow, understand that there are actually innumerable rainbows, not one. The person adjacent to you is witnessing a different manifestation of the same phenomena. More to the point, the appearance of an arc is only such because of your relative location. Situated differently, you would observe a circle. Simple casual observation of precieved "light rays" in by no means a capable method of sourcing the tragectory of given light's sorce of origin.

I'll collect my bananas later.

Show me proof, I want to see proof that they have flown in this mythical space with jets, rockets, thrusters, whatever. They have NOTHING to push against or to break(stop), and then re-connect with another vechile ! HAHAHAHA, are you going to explain more NASA magic to me ? Merlin would be chuffed. Landed on their HELLiWOOD moon planet and played golf, I mean how fucking ridiculous.

On the light issue, it is obvious, don't try confuse the situation, but using your rainbow, why is it arched ? Could that be the shape of our dome, I think so, if it was following the alleged earth curvature, why would it have visible start and end points in our line of vision, and not going out to infinitum making it more straight to our vision ? but you are most likely going to give me more refraction and light play pointers right ? but this is just a first thought about rainbows.

No bananas yet, you still in the jungle. Perhaps a gatekeeper, maybe not, maybe you struggle with the conditioning, who knows.

That's enough for today, you can search yourself, I do not have time for everybody.

Newton's Third Law. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This is a macroscopic way of stating the very well known truth that energy is neither created nor destoryed, just changed.

When jet fuel combusts with the compressed oxygen (rockets carry their own oxygen supply) is ignited in the mixing chamber, the resulting gaeous products expand. This forces them out of the exhaust of the rocket. This not only presses aganist the chamber itself, but every bit of combusted fuel that follow it now pushes off of the cloud expelled before it. This is quite literally, elementary grade material.

Furthermore, outer space is not actually a true void. Less dense than a planetary atmosphere, yes. Empty, no. Dust, plasmas, you name it, space has it.

Regarding light, that's a signficantly more complicated topic. If you can't quite grasp Newton's Third Law, then you're beyond making the attempt to explain behavior of photons. But hey, let's just say rainbows are curved because the Earth is curved. Easy. Forgive my intrusion of, you know, actual science.

All you write is bullshit that the white coat industry protects, I am sure you are employed in this industry. If you read my comment properly, about the rainbow it states in easy terms that if the world were round it would stretch wider and appear to look more straight. and I would not see an entire rainbow if the world was round, as well as it would not maintain its shape, it would be leaning away from me if the world were round, and would look very warped, I have never seen a rainbow like this. Have you ? They are curved alright, but fall on a flat earth.

Your intrussion on the religion of science is accepted, that is all it is a Religion, with paid men in white coats trying to tell us how the disk works. Now go die somewhere, or better yet release a paper about something they don't like, see how long you last.

For a variety of deeply-embedded reasons too complex to explore in this space, the draft in the US is based upon the right of the government to summon the militia in an emergency.

Who are the militia? Adult males between the ages of 18-45 NOT in Federal service.

If war does come, make sure you are drafted rather than volunteer. It is much easier to legally execute volunteers than draftees for desertion in most Anglosphere nations.

The Siege of Leningrad, also known as the Leningrad Blockade (Russian??????? ??????????transliteration:blokada Leningrada) was a prolonged military blockade undertaken by the German Army Group North against Leningrad, historically and currently known as Saint Petersburg, in the Eastern Front theatre of World War II. The siege started on 8 September 1941, when the last road to the city was severed. Although the Soviets managed to open a narrow land corridor to the city on 18 January 1943, the siege was finally lifted on 27 January 1944, 872 days after it began. It was one of the longest and most destructive sieges in history and possibly the costliest in terms of casualties.[10][11]

I haven't read this article before now, but I came to the exact same conclusions independently of Paul. So, unfortunately, I think we truly are on the verge of an international war with Russia and have been sleepwalking towards it since the US State Dept thought it would be a good idea for "regime change" in Russia.

All the ingredients of the previous world wars are in place: Bipolar world, treaties of war obligation (open and secret - that obligates states in NATO to act on behest of a rogue member) and multiple triggers  - terrorism (ISIS), independence movements (Kurds), religious extremism and intolerance.

All this without the benefit of competent, moral people at the helm of nuclear arsenals we had in the past.

My fear is that what happened in WW2 is now reversed -Stalin and Russia were not concerned about their own casualties-Stalin was a monster-he and the Bolshevik jews had already killed 20 million plus of thier own people in the two decades before the war  . The US is run by psychopaths  -globalist banksters who do not give a shit about the American people or anyone else. As long as they and their .001% buddies survive  -war and casualties are not a primary concern. Putin is a Russian nationalist who cares about Russia and Russians. He may be right and on high moral ground-but the psychopaths on the other side do not care - the vast majority of Americans are sheeple who will do as they are told -even if it means following the flock off the cliff to their destruction.

The US, through hubris, ignorance, or apathy, has given shelter to this evil. To make matters worse, apostasy rules the land. When Tribulation comes, non-believers will say, "how did your God allow this to happen?" The answer, as ever, is that you have free will and YOU allowed this. Weep ye, and not just America. As darkness falls remember the slaughter of the unborn, the worship of money, the lust for fame and the fame of lust; your preferance of transitory material comfort over spiritual certainty. And when the barbarians are at the gate, just who is it that should come to your aid?

And it'll continue to happen long after the current system is gone.

Yes, religions out the window. Jesus is not about a religion. We're all Noah's descendants. The ark landed on top of Mt Ararat in Turkey, neo-Ottoman as of recent with a muslim brotherhood government. Which is the 8th that continued after a short space (Ataturk's secular republic) and is of the 7th beast kingdom, but is not the 7th, which was ottoman/islam/caliphate empire. Before that the 6th (roman/byzantine) and 5th (greek) both had the city of Istanbul in common. Noah's descendants spread out from the same location, babylon, middle-east, where all the documented archeological human histopry did unfold itself. That's why Israel is today where it is.

This world is not only a material world. DNA is the God coded (fire combusting beetle can not "evolve" on it's own). Intelligent design requires an intelligent designer. Even the universe has error correction code in it's fabric; and not just any ECC, but a specific one (from the mouth of a scientist that is involved with string theory). CERN with Shiva at their office building is the most complex/expensive machine ever built to crack "GOD's particle". Higher spiritual powers are involved. Lucifer is trying hard. The flood was the 1st judgement. How can mountain tops have sharp edges if millions/billions of years of rain fall didn't even them out? If humans evolved from millions of years ago, than gazillion of human bones would be laying around everywhere. Oil/gas/coal is the petrified woods/animals from before the flood, that everybody is figting for today, that was laid under with mud of the flood water. The final jugement is near.

Jesus is real. Understand His message.

Prolly because it never happened.

Remember that the day before it was supposed to have happened, the Air Force of Israel, as reported by Lebanon, claimed in the 'Times of Israel" that it destroyed a convoy of Syrian army trucks hauling ballistic missiles

"Israeli warplanes attacked a target on the Lebanese-Syrian border overnight Tuesday, foreign media reported on Wednesday. While some reports said the purported strike was carried out on the Syrian side of the border, according to one source the target was a weapons convoy that had crossed from Syria into Lebanon."

But ...

Syrian army command denies earlier reports IAF had struck convoy carrying weapons from Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

But wait!  The Jerusalem Post reports that it wasn't a convoy at all.

'Israel Air Force fighter jets struck a “military research center” in Syria’s Damascus province, near the border with Lebanon, at dawn on Wednesday, according to a report by Syrian state television.'

Putin's words remind me of my father's instruction: 'Never start a fight. Finish it.' If you know the fight is coming, then get ready to finish it.

Much of the world is at war already. The West has allowed insane war profiteers to go further. This time, picking on a nation which is willing and able to defend itself; offer the hand of friendship to all reasonable people, but  punch back if needs be. Law, first. Then knock down any aggressor if needs be.

In my opinion, only uninformed or venal people doubt the rightness of Russia and Putin's stance. Russia and Putin have shown great patience and skillful self-defense in the face of extreme provocations and war crimes committed against them and others.

Unfortunately, the men in their counting houses (Rothschilds, Warburgs, Oppenheimers and others) are delighted at the prospect of more profitable wars, and de-population.

Russia could act rashly or in a measured way.  It will make no difference in the end.  They see war coming even though the neocons think they are in control.  Because they see war coming, they are buying time and preparing like crazy for it...bringing in all kinds of advanced weaponry and radar jamming technology into Syria, re-enforcing the Armenian border with Turkey, setting up S-400 installations in the Baltics, arming Kaliningrad with Iskander missile installations, beefing up their information warfare assets, running huge military readiness drills and pumping out weapons and ammo from their factories at full speed.  They will buy as much time as they can via diplomacy and measured responses to provocations, but when the time has run out and they feel it is necessary to act, they will strike so quickly and so decisively that NATO, being  the bureacratic bumbling giant it is,  will be thrown back on its heels with surprise as the Russians lock down Syria and Eastern Europe under a blinding blanket of electronic gadgetry, take out all military supply storage built up in eatern European countries over the past few years, sink the US Carrier fleets in the Mediterranean, the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocena within an hour using their supersonic anti-ship missiles, and cut off gas to Europe and Turkey.  The US and NATO will have only one decision to make at that point - send in the nukes or not.  Russia will be ready either way they decide.

Dear TPTB,

TAALR politely suggests, for your sake and the sake of best human progeny, that you 'thin the herd' from the bottom up.

I.e., from the bottom of the IQ curve and work your way up, until you have reached the desired population level for the planet. ~ 1 billion humanoids trying to evolve above the 'clever monkey' state, would be optimal.

Additional down-selection filters to eliminating the stupid monkeys, is to eliminate the cruel ones and those with genetic defects. After all, Nature does prefer the best and fittest to survive.

As for the rest: Thank you for playing. Sorry, but no parting gift or Nirvana/Heaven for you. Enjoy your oblivion for the next 1.00 E100 (googleplex) years.

The devil is in the details.

-----

The predators-that-be could cut the population substantially by:

#1:  Halt all social give-aways, and let non-producers starve.

#2:  Cut the electric grids, and let the peons eat each other.

#3:  Start a nuclear war.

Maybe there are other ways too.  But they are very different... in theory, practice and consequences.

Sadly, the predators-that-be today are extremely nasty, extremely violent predators (the neo-con-jobs).  They have no qualms to make a big deal with 3, 30 or 3000 innocents get killed... then proceed to "solve" that problem by killing 300,000 to 3,000,000 innocents in far away places without any qualms whatsoever (or much of any complaints from sheeple either).

-----

Given the fact that virtually all large fictitious entities today ("governments" and "corporations") are almost entirely human predators, I'd say a much better outcome is for the top 0.001% (or 0.01% or 0.1% or 1%) to vanish, rather than the bottom 10% to 99% as planned by the predators-that-be.

As for the 10% or 50% who are parasites and depend on handouts from the predators-that-be in exchange for their votes, they can chose to start producing, or freeze/starve to death.  They can chose whether to remain "useless eaters" or become talented producers.

I hate to say it, but given the neo-con-jobs are on the verge of exterminating a large portion of the human species (if not all), for DC to vanish in a thoroughly anonymous mushroom is probably the best case scenario... and least likely.  Then again, maybe Putin did learn the necessary lesson in Leningrad.

-----

Current events are the best reason yet to get rid of central banks, banksters and fiat, fake, fraud, fiction, fantasy, fractional-reserve scams.  They always crash in 40~50 years.  All empires now depend on fiat scams to fund insane levels of insanity, economic dislocation, and arm vile human predators with enormous quantities of destructive weapons and military technology.  These vile human predators with such enormous resources are willing to do absolutely anything to stay in power, and/or obscure their responsibility for collapse, disaster and war.  The combination of this fiat scam and insane predators-thag-be, plus tens of thousands of nukes means... the human species is an abject failure, and nearing their expiration date.

To have any chance whatsoever to survive for much longer, humans must get rid of the central-banks and fiat currencies that makes astronomical military spending possible, so predators-that-be don't have unlimited resources to spend on world domination and destruction.

But humans are too clueless, insane and meek to take a stand against crazy human predators.  The bottom line is, humans are a failed species, soon to become extinct.

Insane predatory chimps with nukes... that simply can't work.

PCR: "Russia has taken the diplomatic approach, relying on European governments coming to their senses, realizing that their national interests diverge from Washington’s, and ceasing to enable Washington’s hegemonic policy. Russia’s policy has failed. To repeat, Russia’s low key, responsible responses have been used by Washington to paint Russia as a paper tiger that no one needs to fear.

We are left with the paradox that Russia’s determination to avoid war is leading directly to war."

_________________________________________________________

I don't totally agree with PCR's analysis but I do agree with his conclusion that war in inevitable given that The West has been taken over by Neo-Fascist Bolsheviks who are psychopathic lunatics and the Anglo-American Empire is imploding.

That's been on the cards for a long time and was going to happen however Putin responded to provocations from Washington/NATO.

The unknown issue is over who gets to decide when it begins and what the fallout will be back home.

Will economies finally collapse? Will banks admit insolvency and help themselves to savers' funds? Will .govs help themselves to pension funds to buy "war bonds"? Will the markets tank? Will international travel be curtailed? Will Obola attempt to disarm America by force if necessary? Will ID Cards be imposed in the US & UK (I note that the Fascist Bolshevik HRH Tony Blair has already raised this again yesterday in the UK)?

It goes on. The ONLY solution to prevent this is for millions of people across The West to get out on the streets and challenge their gov's authority to go to war in their name.

Perhaps millions of Americans will march on Washington with unloaded weapons carrying the message:

    "Next Time They'll Be Loaded".

Doubtful to say the least but the us has repeatedly bombed Syrian held oil facilities and infrastructure while NOT hitting those of isis.

The us has also hit more of syrias electrical grid

Than it had destroyed Syrian hardware.

If it *were* true, it would not mean anything more than assad being forced to buy his own oil from those who stole it to continue fighting isis, Al Nusra and other us backed, mostly foreign mercs, not all of them religious or Muslim.

There won't be a real war.

Putin is Goldman Sach's and JPM's bitch. He's selling Russia's oil to the Europeans (American vassals) for his enemy's (Americans) illegal and worthless electronic digits known as US dollars (which really are FRNs).

Yes, Turkish, Russian and Syrian, and even American soldiers might die. But only for the pleasure of the sadistic bankers.

IF

Putin was a real man, a righteous man,

He immediately would have stopped dealing in dollars, period. That would have spelled VICTORY for Russia without one soldier lost and not even one bullet spent.

"There won't be a real war."

It depends on how you define "a real war".

My best guess is that Washington, its fascist-bolshevik neo-con masters, Israel, the CIA and the Pantygon all want war but they want to contain it in someone else's country, a-la Syria/Iraq. Depending on how that goes, they may wish to move on to Iran, Russia and China. That is surely the Anglo-American imperial power's goal.

Problem is the Empire is bankrupt and wars have a bad habit of dragging in other countries and even the Homeland gets hit at some point, especially true with nukes available.

This could easily get very nasty. Russia was taken over by jewish Bolsheviks once, he won't allow that to happen again. If attacked, Putin will make sure of that and he will never surrender to western imperialism.

Fri, 12/11/2015 - 10:19 | 6909842 Maestro Maestro

The problem with your contention is, the Russian central bank to this day is controlled by the City of London/Wall Street interests and supports the dollar faction which you described.

In other words, unfortunately Putin is just another one of their errand boys. He is not protecting Russia which he easily could have done by refusing to deal in dollars.

Fri, 12/11/2015 - 10:40 | 6909931 smacker

Russia was also instrumental in creating the BRICS bank and doing currency swap deals with China and Iran etc. I think Russia wants and intends to become a sovereign nation in its own right and to align itself with a multi-polar world. Its alignment with the Western banking system was done by Yeltsin & Co, not Putin.

Fri, 12/11/2015 - 14:14 | 6911133 Maestro Maestro
Maestro Maestro's picture

Then it could be argued that Russia, under Western tutelage, is being employed as a fifth column within the BRICs.

Still, it's stupid to contend that Russia could reasonably think that it's serving its best interests by aligning itself with its enemies to any degree or in any fashion.

There is not a people or nation on this earth that is doing what is best for them, period. People; elite, banker or peon, are the problem.
