Venezuela Oil Prices Crashes To 2004 Lows
Putting the 'mad' in Maduro. Venezuela's heavy crude oil price just crashed almost 9% to $31.24... its lowest since December 2004. Time for another 'swap' with China?

Why anybody would bet that something would stay higher than 5x the long term average is beyond me.

It hasn't "just crashed". It's traded at about a $10 discount to Brent since forever. It's following the oil market down in lock step. And taking the economy down the toilet with it. I'm worried for their people.
correct me if I am wrong - but isn't Venezuela crude filled with all kinds of chemical muck that screws up refineries? Hence their oil always trades at a lowr cost.
