America pretty much is toast if one looks at the general quality of the presidential candidates. in fact the USA is pretty much skating on burnt toast. Tragic but true.

I know I'll get down-arrowed, but Trump/Rubio/Cruz are already bought and paid for by the establishment. Trump is a warmonger, a Zionist, and a close personal friend of the Clintons. He's very much an "insider" - and *I* believe his purpose is to split the vote so that the (s)election of that dried-up lizard-thing Hitlery will be believable to the deluded masses. Again, I will point to the fact that he gets so much coverage as proof that he's not "feared" or "hated" except in a "World Wrestling Federation" sense of the word. If the establishment "hated" him, they'd ignore him.
In the end, I don't think it's going to matter very much who gets to squat in the Whitehouse next. The two parties only differ in how they want to destroy the US - the destruction part remains constant. The controllers want more war, more centralized power, more looting, more greed, more chaos in the world - and they'll probably get it unless people start opening their eyes and looking behind the curtain (because after all, they still need our compliance) and that will probably have to wait until people are genuinely hurting.
I still wouldn't mind if Trump ran as an independent; not because I'm much of a supporter but because I'm still pissed at the GOP RINOs who got elected and refused to take the action(s) they promised to. Having the GOP party completely collapse I feel would be a good catalyst to kick start a new political party that actually acts on behalf of its constituents (for better or worse) instead of obsessing on perpetuating its own power and building ivory towers.
Trump is a bigger then life figure as evidenced by his media dominance for months. Like Teddy Rosevelt he could be a serious third party candidate especially if he could move the massive number of disenfranchised republicans to a new constitutional party. Possibly getting Cruz and Carson on board would create a ground swell that would sweep the local and state party activists to a small government, Liberty and freedom party leaving the rino's in DC counting the days till they are run out of office. The main stream media may then find out where the tea party people went.
Don't you find it amazing how people can be led - even after they've been skrewed in all the areas that count; Property rights, Parental rights, Firearms rights, Speech & Assembly/Association rights, etc., cycle after cycle, to jump right back into the waiting maw of the Beast, come presidential election time. Simply a fascinating display of the human instinct to follow rather than think independently.

Trump has so polarized the Republicans at this point that, even if he goes down, the Republicans will not be able to nominate a candidate who can win in 2016. If Trump falls, and does not run as a 3d party candidate, his Republican and Independent supporters will stay home, as many did when Romney was the nominee. They will believe, fairly, that the GOP undermined Trump's candidacy and 'stole' their champion from them at just the time they had rallied around someone, anyone, who spoke plainly, identified with their fears and concerns, and offered a 'credible' alternative to career politicians who have done nothing for them (other than make promises they never intended to keep). Donald Trump has crossed the Rubicon and there's no looking back.
