The Donald Responds To "Dopey, Daddy's Boy" Saudi Prince's Slur

Tyler Durden's picture

"Shots fired"

Following Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal's statement on Friday...

... we said, "we now anxiously await Trump's twitter response."

We no longer have to wait, because as of late last night, the Donald responded:

Ironically, as The Hill reports,

Bin Talal told The Economist in 1999 that he started his business with a $30,000 loan from his father and by mortgaging a house his father had given him for $400,000.

Trump, the son of a wealthy real estate developer, has said he received a "small" $1 million loan from his father after he graduated from college in 1968. Forbes estimates his net worth at $4.5 billion.

Black pots and kettles everywhere...

Lol Trump is entertaining.  But Like Ron Paul says, "He is a authoritarian... on occasion he comes up with a correct idea, but an authoritarian is the opposite of a libertarian. A libertarian wants to release creative energy to the individuals. We want to  get government out of our lives, out of the economy, and out of all these places around the world. So it’s quite a bit different to the way a authoritarian would approach our problems.”

If he does then all my brown-fuck brethren will return to our camel wonderland. Please take the juws back.... they're really nice people... great for the economy/movies/media and can organise a gay parade in any desert.... they also plant stuff and make it grow real good.

Funny, most people who get a $1 million dollar loan from their dad, generally figure out a way to piss it away.

Maybe someone can produce a list of people who started with $1 million and parlayed it into a multi-billion-dollar fortune? I guarantee you this, it's a pretty small list.

Trump must be elected if only to create distance between us and the Saudi’s.

We don’t need them anymore if we get out of our foreign entanglements in MENA and cull the illegals and terrorists out of the country.

Like everyone, I have some things I am not crazy about in the seemingly petulant Trump, but the prospect of controlling immigration and distancing from the Saudi’s “trumps” all my reservations.

Not only is Trump extremely electable, he is what America needs right now in fact,  he has the potential to be one of America's greatest Presidents.  His direct approach, his old fashioned values, and his courage to say what needs to be said is just what we need to offset years of Liberal and Progressive bullshit.  GO Donald!

Trump isn't what America "needs" right now.  What Trump represents is everything that's currently wrong in the Western society, particularly the fact there are no sensible, responsible adults in charge Of ANYTHING.  All our institutions are in complete failure "job-preservation-for-the-nomenklatura" mode.  And competency is just not possible with modern Western populations because prosperity now is based upon lies, obfuscation and subterfuge.  They will not elect people who will tell them the real truth.  Everyone knows Trump is lying tub of elephant sh*t, but he's lying to preserve the prevalent belief system and so anyone pointing out his lies is just labelled as part of the "biased media."

The fact is, if you put an honest man up for election, no one would actually vote for them.  Walk around with a lamp up high looking for an honest man and all you'd be doing is wasting your time.  The electoral and legislative space is corporate-occupied territory and those least trustworthy and competent are ALWAYS placed into  positions of power.   For example, "Good Job" Brown-ie, anyone at the board of General Motors, Eric Holder and so on.  EIther they do as they are told, which is increasingly NOT doing their jobs (see Eric Holder) or so incompetent that they should honestly have been taken out and beaten until they cried (see Timothy Geithner).

Donald is just the culmination of the Koch-inspired governance.

If Trump were really taking on the status quo — crony capitalism, the MIC, the Fed, etc. — he'd be taken out before he ever took office, just like Ron Paul would have if he'd gotten close. Thus, as the global shitstorm makes landfall in 2016, count on war, war, and more war.

After all . . .

War Is the Health of the State

"[Randolph] Bourne's essays written in opposition to World War I while he was on the editorial staff of the New Republic are not typical of anti-war literature. He provides very little in the way of critiquing specific policies. He does not dwell upon the 'Butcher's Bill' of dead soldiers and civilians. ... The thrust of Bourne's essays is to attack the sanctity of war by showing how it leads to the moral collapse of society by kicking out the props (the principles) of peaceful interaction upon which society rests."

Actually, Donald Trump inherited just over $20 million from his father.  Trump as a clever businessman is just one of those clever stories that hides a much less glamourous reality.  Trump needs to hide the fact he was born with a silver spoon up one orifice or the other.  Can't tell which.

The superrich need desperately to spin stories of their greatness in order to make it appear as if they were self-made and did it all themselves (an even better example is Bill Gates).

The social status of a person in this world is defined by which crotch they got to pop out of at birth.  Obama's kids will certainly never have to worry like teh other proles now that their father has ensured their position in nomenklatura.

And that's all the world needs.  Another self-absorbed rich white guy with a dubious grasp on the concept of truth and reality.

Before you go casting stones at Cruz read his book.  He is a Constitutionalist.  He is one of the only candidates who states he will REPEAL Obamacare, not "Repeal and Replace".  Repeal and replace is still leaving this abomination in place.  Still the hooks that demand the government can dictate you buy something.  Donald, though I like his pulpit and truthiness, is a "repeal and replace" guy and that alone scares me off of full support.  Cruz is my man.  Yeah I know about his wife and ex-Goldman and all but this guy can out argue, out debate Hillary using a return to Constitutional intent that Trump can't touch.

An authoritarian would be perfect right now and may be the only thing that can save the West from our massive degeneracy. Representational democracies are shitfests. The key to a good authoritarian is that they must have the interests of the country and people at heart. Elected leaders rarely ever do. Libertarians are living in an alternate reality where everything will magically fix itself if you follow their Utopian system. Their system is all about gaining personal freedom so that they can live their last days out in peace and serenity. It has no answer to geopolitics and the bigger forces of the world.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed Builds Border Wall To Keep Out Syrians While Calling Candidate Donald Trump a “Disgrace” for Keeping out Syrians….  This is one of those dynamic arguments you’ll never see the leftist U.S. media bring up because the essence of their underlying ideology is only to promote those things that tear down America.  The same Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is building a massive 1000km border wall to keep Syrian and Iraqi refugees out of his country.  Who is the real “disgrace“?

"Americans would probably do the same..."

Now that's funny.

Roosevelt -- betrayed the country and was not ousted

Johnson -- betrayed the country and was not ousted

Nixon -- don't get me started and was not ousted.  Technically, he quit and even if he hadn't there was no revolutionary movement about to oust him.  Ten years' worth of long-hairs marching and chanting in the streets were marginally effective but they started under Johnson so not a reaction to Nixon.

Ford --  you could make the case he betrayed the country by pardoning Nixon, but I disagree.  One of the reasons you can tell we are a first world country is we do not throw members of the outgoing administration in jail for things they did in their official capacities.

Carter -- betrayed the country and was not ousted

need I go on?

If it were mine to define strategy, since the Saudi's are in fact the Power behind ISIS> after the West mistakenly birthed ISIS, and using Turkey as their attack dog, I'd launch a nuke decap strike on the saudi leadership right fucking now.  I think, maybe if I was PUTIN, I'd do that while Obama was still in the White House.    I think he'd hem and haw about retaliating against the Russians including all that might entail.

Great, but that would help blow up the US from within.

The petrodollar agreement is cyclical.

OPEC (read, SA) sells its hydrocarbons for US dollars.

The Saudis then buy dollar denominated assets. These assets could be Treasuries, US-manufactured goods (not much of that available anymore), US real estate, businesses, or whatever.

If the Saudis are told to take their money and leave, a giant sucking sound will be heard in the US economy and in the currency.

The rhetoric is entertaining, but any realistic follow through would be...suboptimal.

Edit: Weapons and delivery systems should have been on that list of dollar denominated assets. Of course, the Ex-Im bank will offer a discount coupon for Boeing products.

"Bin Talal....that he started his business with a $30,000 loan from his father and by mortgaging a house his father had given him for $400,000."

Hahahhahahha....nice.

  • He is a member of the Saudi royal family.
  • His parents are Prince Talal and Mona Al Solh, daughter of Riad Al SolhLebanon's first Prime Minister
  • he became active in construction contracts and real estate and amassed a sizeable fortune (guess who got government contracts )
  • he's active in dwarf-tossing as reported broke the dwarf-throwing story in January 2012
  • In January 1975, while at the prestigious International School of Choueifat, in Beirut, he was caught looking at another student’s test paper and when confronted about it, he berated the teacher. He was expelled and completed his high-school studies with tutors.
  •  Alwaleed claims his father gave him $30,000. Within a year, he had lost the money. He went back to his father, who gave him $300,000. This time, it took him three years to lose it. He went back to his father again, who refused to give him more money and instead gave him the deed to a house he was building for Alwaleed in Riyadh. “Go work for yourself,” his father admonished. Alwaleed got a $600,000 mortgage on the house from a branch of Citibank in Riyadh. In pictures, the house looks like little more than a ramshackle structure and certainly not one that would serve as collateral for a large mortgage. To raise additional money, Alwaleed says, he sold a $200,000 necklace that his father had given his first wife, Dalal bint Saud, a daughter of King Saud. “She sold it for me and no one knows about this,” he says. As a grandson of the king, he also received a monthly stipend of $15,000.
  • his first business break came from managing the construction of a sports and social club that a South Korean company was building in Riyadh. Soon, he was overseeing the construction of a variety of projects.
  • and most importantly: In 1999 The Economist crunched the numbers and claimed they didn’t add up. As for Alwaleed’s original seed money, “you could barely clothe a Saudi prince for such sums, let alone furnish him with a multi-million-dollar empire.” Furthermore, “he has not earned enough from his investments to pay for all he has spent in the 1990s.” And finally, “Either the prince has a valuable and unrevealed source of income, or his income is much less than [he claims]. . . . Anyone who seeks to present Prince Alwaleed as the face of the new Saudi Arabia needs to explain the mystery that lies at the heart of his empire.” (Needless to say, Forbesalso has its doubts about the size of Alwaleed’s fortune.)
