Did The Terrorists (Or Fearmongers) Win?

Tyler Durden's picture

According to the latest survey from Gallup, this is the highest percentage of Americans to mention terrorism in a decade, although it is still lower than the 46% measured after 9/11.

Before 2001, terrorism barely registered as the most important problem facing the country.

So are the terrorists winning? Or the fearmongers?

The terrorist attacks in San Bernardino and Paris have altered how Americans view the problems facing the U.S. Satisfaction with the way things are going in the U.S. dropped significantly to a 13-month low in December, and Americans' trust in the government to protect them from terrorism is the lowest Gallup has measured.

The data reviewed here show that terrorism has now become the single most-frequently mentioned issue when Americans are asked to name the most important problem.

Which makes President Obama's "victory" over Climate Change seem very odd... since it doesn't even register as a worry for Americans.

Sets the stage for Hillary.  She can talk about how many drone strikes she cackled at and how many missions against terror she "pulled the trigger on."

Unless we have another terror strike here.  If that happens, even the libtards* will know that Obama and D-Team ideas on Muslim immigration are so FOS that Trump will win big.

Only three out of those four things are 'problems'.  Name the one that isn't.

Of the remaining three things, one is primarily responsible for creating problems with the other two.  Name that one.

The one that isn't a problem is only a 'problem' because two of the remaining three things are threatened by it.  Name those two.

The last of the four problems is a problem caused by an entity with three letters. Name that entitiy.

If you can answer all of the above, have a drink.  Then another. Then another. ad beerum.

Maybe. . . just maybe. . . people are becoming just a wee bit wiser, huh?

I mean, invalid visas allowed the bombing of the WTC in 1993!

Invalid visas allowed the attacks on 9/11!

Invalid visas allowed for that Times Square bomber attempt!

Invalid visas allowed for the horrific Boston Marathon bombing!

And now, we are told that Malik, the wifey mass murderer with Farook, was vetted by no less than FIVE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES!

But there is no vetting process --- there has obviously never been a vetting process --- and for some visas the law doesn't allow, actually prohibits, any vetting (H-1B).

Maybe. . . just maybe. . . the zombie sheeple are awakening?????

Accodring to Paul Craig Roberts.

" NPR, like all of Western media, has lost its integrity. NPR claims to be reader-supported. In fact, it is supported by corporations. Pay attention to the ads: “NPR is supported by xyz corporation working to sell you this or that product or service.”

The George W. Bush regime destroyed NPR by appointing two Republican female ideologues to oversee NPR’s public function. The two Republicans succeeded in making job security, not reporting integrity, the motive of NPR journalists. "

Most of the content on NPR derives from PRI which, together with The Takeaway show (host is the mental and physical cripple, John "the bullcrapper" Hockenberry) PBS and Frontline, are owned by the WGBH Educational Foundation in Boston, which is 93% financed by the Koch brothers.

Also, sometime check out the financing behind Chicago Public Radio and the other one which has just slipped my memory now (time for lunch).

Fearmongers winning.

I don't understand americans who say they are "scared".  Scared of what?  Jihad?  I believe the "scared" people are actually terrified that they cannot defend themselves and their government can't defend them, either. But there is a simple fix for that...

Because I know countless americans who are NOT "scared"... and all of them are gun owners.

To all of the "scared" people out there:  Your government (police, et al.) cannot and will not protect you. Learn to defend yourself, and then get on with your life. Expecting others (govt) to protect you is a foolish 20th century notion that has expired whether you like it or not. The promises and expectations we were raised with are GONE. Our world is more chaotic, dangerous, and unpredictable - get used to it, or get out of the way... because your bleeting is not going to interfere with my sovereignty.

Yup, but there's still plenty to be scared of in America:

Sheriff John Urquhart's Advice

Last week King County Sheriff John Urquhart was kind enough to go on the local radio and give advice on one's options if confronted by a mass murderer in the workplace:  run, hide or attack.

Thank you, Sheriff Urquhart!

Unfortunately, you didn't give us any advice on how to react to a mad dog cop:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9pluHd7TBQ

Deputy Mathew Paul is still on the beat, so we should all be very wary when walking the streets.

http://www.examiner.com/article/cop-faces-no-consequences-for-forever-crippling-innocent-man-a-societal-lesson

And we should all mourn the passing of the innocent victim of Deputy Paul's brutality, Christopher Harris, who perished this past Friday.

Man slammed into wall by King County deputy in 2009 dies; coroner rules it a homicide

http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/seattle/2015/12/11/chris-harris-paralyzed-after-deputy-shove-dies/77161284/

Chris and Sarah were newly married when a King County Sheriff’s deputy shattered their lives when he mistook Chris for a suspect and threw him headlong into a wall, leaving him with a severe brain injury,” wrote attorney Sim Osborn. “While we mourn Chris’ passing, we also recognize Sarah for her commitment to her husband, deciding to become his full-time caregiver for the past six years. Her love and commitment to Chris was abundantly obvious to anyone who spent any amount of time with her.

. . . .

A KING 5 investigation found Deputy Paul was involved in a number of incidents in which his use of force was a concern, but the sheriff’s office said there was no misconduct and prosecutors called the Harris case “a freak accident.” But then-Sheriff Sue Rahr said Paul would be put on a personal performance plan and sent back to the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission for additional training.

Although it is more likely in America to be killed by a mad dog cop, both the incidents of this type and mass murder --- given the  lack of ANY VETTING PROCESS as far as America's visa programs are concerned, suggests we may all want to have a license to carry!

Most are not scared because the government "can't defend them".  For most people it is the realisation that the political class, from Obama on down, has no interest in defending them and has an active interect in importing people inimical to them.

Armed americans STILL represent a hard target.  Interesting how 95% of these mass shootings occur in gun-free zones.

Hard to believe that a major political party in this country actually advocates transforming America into one big soft target, which exactly what their vision of gun control would do.
