You Want War? Russia Is Ready For War
Authored by Pepe Escobar, originally posted at Sputnik News,
Nobody needs to read Zbigniew “Grand Chessboard” Brzezinski’s 1997 opus to know US foreign policy revolves around one single overarching theme: prevent – by all means necessary – the emergence of a power, or powers, capable of constraining Washington’s unilateral swagger, not only in Eurasia but across the world.
The Pentagon carries the same message embedded in newspeak: the Full Spectrum Dominance doctrine.
Syria is leading all these assumptions to collapse like a house of cards. So no wonder in a Beltway under no visible chain of command – the Obama administration barely qualifies as lame duck – angst is the norm.
The Pentagon is now engaged in a Vietnam-style escalation of boots on the ground across “Syraq”. 50 commandos are already in northern Syria “advising” the YPG Syrian Kurds as well as a few “moderate” Sunnis. Translation: telling them what Washington wants them to do. The official White House spin is that these commandos “support local forces” (Obama’s words) in cutting off supply lines leading to the fake “Caliphate” capital, Raqqa.
Another 200 Special Forces sent to Iraq will soon follow, allegedly to “engage in direct combat” against the leadership of ISIS/ISIL/Daesh, which is now ensconced in Mosul.

All these American boots on the ground in theory should be coordinating, soon, with a new, spectacularly surrealist 34-country “Islamic” coalition (Iran was not invited), set up to fight ISIS/ISIL/Daesh by no less than the ideological matrix of all strands of Salafi-jihadism: Wahhabi Saudi Arabia.
Syria is now Coalition Central. There are at least four; the “4+1” (Russia, Syria, Iran, Iraq plus Hezbollah), which is actually fighting Daesh; the US-led coalition, a sort of mini NATO-GCC combo, but with the GCC doing nothing; the Russia-France direct military collaboration; and the new Saudi-led “Islamic” charade. They are pitted against an astonishing number of Salafi-jhadi coalitions and alliances of convenience that last from a few months to a few hours.
And then there’s Turkey, which under Sultan Erdogan plays a vicious double game.
Sarajevo All Over Again?
“Tense” does not even begin to describe the current Russia-Turkey geopolitical tension, which shows no sign of abating. The Empire of Chaos lavishly profits from it as a privileged spectator; as long as the tension lasts, prospects of Eurasia integration are hampered.
Russian intel has certainly played all possible scenarios involving a NATO Turkish army on the Turkish-Syrian border as well as the possibility of Ankara closing the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles for the Russian “Syria Express”. Erdogan may not be foolish enough to offer Russia yet another casus belli. But Moscow is taking no chances.

If Ankara opts for a suicide mission of knocking out yet another Su-24, or Su-34, Russia will simply clear the airspace all across the border via the S-400s. If Ankara under the cover of NATO responds by launching the Turkish Army on Russian positions, Russia will use nuclear missiles, drawing NATO into war not only in Syria but potentially also in Europe. And this would include using nuclear missiles to keep Russian strategic use of the Bosphorus open.
That’s how we can draw a parallel of Syria today as the equivalent of Sarajevo 1914.
Since mid-2014 the Pentagon has run all manner of war games – as many as 16 times, under different scenarios – pitting NATO against Russia. All scenarios were favorable to NATO. All simulations yielded the same victor: Russia.
And that’s why Erdogan’s erratic behavior actually terrifies quite a few real players from Washington to Brussels.
Let Me Take You on a Missile Cruise
The Pentagon is very much aware of the tremendous heavy metal Russia may unleash if provoked to the limit by someone like Erdogan. Let's roll out an abridged list.
Russia can use the mighty SS-18 – which NATO codenames “Satan”; each “Satan” carries 10 warheads, with a yield of 750 to 1000 kilotons each, enough to destroy an area the size of New York state.
The Topol M ICBM is the world's fastest missile at 21 Mach (16,000 miles an hour); against it, there’s no defense. Launched from Moscow, it hits New York City in 18 minutes, and L.A. in 22.8 minutes.
Russian submarines – as well as Chinese submarines – are able to launch offshore the US, striking coastal targets within a minute. Chinese submarines have surfaced next to US aircraft carriers undetected, and Russian submarines can do the same.

The S-500 anti-missile system is capable of sealing Russia off from ICBMs and cruise missiles. (Moscow will only admit on the record that the S-500s will be rolled out in 2016; but the fact the S-400s will soon be delivered to China implies the S-500s may be already operational.)
The S-500 makes the Patriot missile look like a V-2 from WWII.
Here, a former adviser to the US Chief of Naval Operations essentially goes on the record saying the whole US missile defense apparatus is worthless.
Russia has a supersonic bomber fleet of Tupolev Tu-160s; they can take off from airbases deep in the heart of Russia, fly over the North Pole, launch nuclear-tipped cruise missiles from safe distances over the Atlantic, and return home to watch the whole thing on TV.
Russia can cripple virtually every forward NATO base with tactical – or battlefield – small-yield nuclear weapons. It’s not by accident that Russia over the past few months tested NATO response times in multiple occasions.
The Iskander missile travels at seven times the speed of sound with a range of 400 km. It’s deadly to airfields, logistics points and other stationary infrastructure along a broad war theatre, for instance in southern Turkey.
NATO would need to knock out all these Iskanders. But then they would need to face the S-400s – or, worse, S-500s — which Russia can layer in defense zones in nearly every conceivable theater of war. Positioning the S-400s in Kaliningrad, for instance, would cripple all NATO air operations deep inside Europe.
And presiding over military decisions, Russia privileges the use of Reflexive Control (RC). This is a tactic that aims to convey selected information to the enemy that forces him into making self-defeating decisions; a sort of virus influencing and controlling his decision-making process. Russia uses RC tactically, strategically and geopolitically. A young Vladimir Putin learned all there is to know about RC at the 401st KGB School and further on in his career as a KGB/FSB officer.
All right, Erdogan and NATO; do you still wanna go to war?

1) It ain't about belief. It is documented. Check the UN treaties for verification.
2) Israel is not a party. That's the point. They still won't admit to having any nukes even though the whole world knows they have 80 +120 can be built real quick. They won't sign anything. They are not bound by law. Duplicitousness.
3) Russia is not out to invade anybody. They would only have to defend the homeland. They would not attack every US base in the world (hence almost every country in the world.)
4) Yes, China is not to be discounted but they have very few nukes for their size.
5) Many times, in fact. Russian subs, undetected. Russian planes jamming US radar. Russian missles with 100% hit rate in the ME.
6) Agreed
7) Agreed
Why take my word for it though...
from socalbeach above:

"The results were dispiriting. Given the recent reductions in the defense budgets of NATO member countries and American pullback from the region, Ochmanek says the blue team was outnumbered 2-to-1 in terms of manpower, even if all the U.S. and NATO troops stationed in Europe were dispatched to the Baltics — including the 82nd Airborne, which is supposed to be ready to go on 24 hours’ notice and is based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
“We just don’t have those forces in Europe,” Ochmanek explains. Then there’s the fact that the Russians have the world’s best surface-to-air missiles and are not afraid to use heavy artillery.
After eight hours of gaming out various scenarios, the blue team went home depressed. “The conclusion,” Ochmanek says, “was that we are unable to defend the Baltics.”"
One of the very highest priorities in any SIOP is to hit every runway capable of handling strategic bombers. These are the most dangerous nuclear weapons since they are easily and rapidly reloadable. But they need long, hard runways to operate on-- civilian or military. This means that you hit all of them so that there is no place for them to land and reconstitute the force, even if you can't catch them with their pants down a la Hickam Field.
So, yes, they have to hit US bases everywhere and right away. And strategic-capable civilian runways all over the world. That soaks up a lot of warheads that would otherwise be going to mainland targets.
Unable to defend the Baltics in the short run. Obviously. Unable to contain Russia at some point of logistical equilibrium and then strangle it. Hardly. Defending Estonia is not the same as defending Europe and it is very misleading to conflate the two, you will certainly admit. In any long conventional war, Russia loses. Sorry, they just do. Their geographical position is unenviable. Their industrial, financial, and population ratios are hopeless.
They do not have the force necessary to maintain a continuous front all across Central Europe and Finland, not to mention a third front against Turkey in the Caucasus, and do not even have the population base of the heavily-armed Soviet Union of 1941, much less the vast industrial power that Stalin had built up. Or the unquestioned backing of the two most powerful empires in the world.
If war breaks out in Central Europe, it HAS to go nuclear at some point.
"So, yes, they have to hit US bases everywhere and right away."
Not many bases around the world have nukes. It would take too long to deploy to all these places.
"Defending Estonia is not the same as defending Europe and it is very misleading to conflate the two, you will certainly admit."
I admit. It was an example scenario. But Russia knows this. And if you can't even defend the Baltics, forget about defending Europe.
"In any long conventional war, Russia loses. Sorry, they just do."
The US doesn't have the troops to fight a conventional war...
"If war breaks out in Central Europe, it HAS to go nuclear at some point."
Agreed. But Russia has an advantage here. Admittedly, both sides will come out as losers - unless Russia can shoot missles out of the sky, which most say they can do much better than the US. The unknown in all of this is the space issue. With the secret space programs which the Americans, the Russians, and the Chinese have, this could very easily change the metrics. If you consider the fact that the US can't launch anything without Russian help, and that the tracking and jamming systems which the Russians posess are far superior (even the Chinese can shoot down missles like those of the US,) it would surprise me if the US could even land one ICBM on target or get one bomber anywhere near the border.
I participated in Reforger 1985 in and around the Fulda Gap. Now I find myself sympathetic to the Russian perspective. So much has changed the past 30 yrs -unreal/sereal.
NATO didn't illegally expand eastward and set up anti ballistic missile batteries on Russia's borders? NATO didn't illegally bomb Libya and Syria? NATO has no military or political will.
US/EU GDP vastly surpasses the GDP of Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam as well.
Remind me - how did those wars go again?
An area the size of New York State...
You, sir, are an idiot who obviously knows nothing about the subject of which you are pretending expertise.
yeah, that was BS. Maybe 'destroy' with fallout as in render in habitable? Even then, that's a stretch.
Certainly not destroy in the sense of obliteration.
http://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/
put in 1,000 kilotons and detonate it and then zoom out from NYC.
This whole article is total horseshit. I'm not wanting war of any kind but this write up is total crap as far as military capabilities. If the Russians and Chinese could do these things we would be speaking Russian or Chinese.
The biggest enemy of either Russian or Chinese armies is rust. Hell, the Russians cruise missiles are crap and the Chinese navy is a joke.
No war.
Can you back up those claims with documentation, or are they just wishful thinking/speculation/opinion/surmises on your part?
You're under the idiotic delusional assption that they want to conquer the US.
well, if you read it right.. it said 10 warheads with EACH having 750-1000 kilos.. so times whatever you just came up with by a radius of 10 fold
Why do you think I posted the link to the nuke map, plug in 1,000kt and zoom out? You'll see a small dot that represents a 1,000kt relative to a giant state called New York. Thought that would have been obvious, simple math, but since the Captcha math requirement before posting went away, the average ZH intellect has declined.
New York state area 54,556 square miles
Damage of a 1Mton blast out to 19km radius : 12 miles = 452 square miles
10 warheads = 4520 square miles
Out by a factor of 10.
New York city though is 305 square miles.
...and should be nuked.
The propaganda war is all-encompassing. If the US is propagandizing the world I wouldn't put it past Russia or China to do likewise. Sppoking your enemy's locals into giving up/unrest is cheaper than full-scale war, and you can pretend the uprising was organic.
10 relatively low yield war heads detonating simultaneously in a calulated spread as opposed to hitting just one point would siginificantly increase their destructive power. Given that they would almost certainly be airbursts, you could be looking at a massive area of thousands and thousands of square miles having the oxygen burnt out iof it in a flash, overlapping shockwaves from different dorections and a huge EMP area rendering all electronic communications etc dead on the spot.
Destruction doesn't mean onliteration, it just means rendering it useless.

all showmanship, the power players over at the BIS and Rothschilds need to be in the "International Space Station" before the fireworks begin in a comfortable postion away from the violence, while we kill each other off and ask ourselves...."Forest why'd this have to happen" (Bubba)
so they can come back down as their native Annunaki lizard selves after ridding Earth of most of the now worthless humans
All the Republican candidates seem to be insane except for Rand Paul. They are all lusting to go to war and challenge Russia. China is watching this insanity and knows it is next in case Russia backs down.
Russia is not Iraq or Afghanistan or Yemen or Syria or Libya.
We are only 30 minutes from armageddon these days
They are like drug addicts. "I can stop when I want to", 'I won't be sick" etc. All they see is their next 5 minutes and their fix.
It's like a horror movie. Yes, Paul is quite sane, and Christie has come out as a full blown maniac--shoot down Russian planes over Syria!
I'd move the doomsday clock to about 30 seconds to midnight.
Carly Diarrhea, John Kase-ick, Jebbie, Bubio, Ted Crud, etc. All batshit crazy.
Trump is actually comparatively sane, and Paul appears to be a normal person who walked into an insane asylum.
Remember that most of these tools are just that.. tools. They are the most whoring drug addicted personas that oligarch money can buy
You can thank Obama for utterly detroying relations with almost every country on earth, especially Russia. The Russians liked us before Obama. They probably will again when that worthless arrogant piece of shit is gone.
Hey i got a great idea for a weapon.. uses harmonics to Set of all nukes wherever they are Sitting, whether armed or not.. give the world a few minutes notice of course, and then Light them up.. maybe i can sell the Idea to the First Aliens that show up.
Ever ask yourself, why does man Need all these tools of destruction? we are surely Insane, this planet is Gods Insane Asylum
"uses harmonics to Set of all nukes wherever they are Sitting, whether armed or not."
Nukes aren't made of Nitroglycerin. You could not set them off, although you might be able to vibrate them apart.
Vlad needs to be introduced to America's military arsenal, one weapon at a time. Mr. Putin's ouster ought to be a technological tour de force that all the world can watch on their home sets (ideally on 4K, but if not 1080) and revel in. America is the great freedom machine, the righter of wrongs.
We need to get back to basic principles, like Reagan's 600 ship navy and advanced star wars programs. We need enough war machines to fill the sky and blot out the sun! And all of these instruments need to be brought to bear on the Russian bear.
Are you a descendant of Curtis LeMay?
Putinlover is a Bot, ignore it.
Please...America is far to corrupt to win any real war. Thier latest and greatest naval vessal is out of action less than three weeks after being "operational"...and not even from combat. America is dying the death all empires die...good riddance.
All new weapons systems have teething troubles. As do things like new power plants and buildings. If it keeps up for years, like Russian jet engines or ship turbines, that's a different matter entirely.
Oh, and here's to Russia-- High Tech Land of Super Virtue. An Empire that has already died twice in the last 100 years.
And provides Americs'a space launch booster rocket engines. Because the US no longer has the know how. The Russians didn't off-shore their manufacturing, software development and engineering capability unlike the idiot leadership of the US.
"We need to get back to basic principles,.."
I assume you mean returning to a Constitutional Republic. Is that right? Before filling the skies, fill the jails by prosecuting a criminal plutocracy and their Oligarchic masters.
Why do writers write "could hit New York or LA." Why not DC? Seems like this is propaganda from the Pentagon to scare us poor little sheeple.
Yes, why not DC? A lot of Americans wouldn't mind. Some might even thank Putin.
So Washington, please get rid of your act and forget about taking over the world. There are a few good people in the DC area who don't deserve to glow.
DC isn't in America. It is in Illuminatica.
It'll probably go away in a phase shift portal during the strikes and then portal back once 95% of the goyim are baked
I had to smile. Yeltsin wanted to sell the Kaliningrad exclave but nobody was buying. Seems to come in handy now.
Suppose that a big bully has a lot of little dipshits he his protecting and uses those little dipshits to attack you in small, but infuriating ways in an obvious effort to provoke you. What do you do? You know that beating up one of the little dipshits will bring the bully down on you and the bully will have the moral high ground since you shouldn't hit fellows smaller than yourself, even if they deserve it. So what do you do? Only one thing.
You ignore the little dipshits and go straight up to the smirking bully and smash him in the mouth (or eye or nose) as fast and as hard as you can. And you hit him again and again and again until he is down, whereupon you start kicking as hard as you can. Even though he's bigger and stronger than you, if you get the jump on him, he might not get up. And you needn't worry about the little dipshits. They will stand there with jaws dropped until their protector is disabled. Then they will scatter. That's what Russia will likely do to US if we don't control, but continue to protect, little dipshits like Erdogan.
Speaking of bullies and hard men...Billy Connolly tells a story.
Little guy at the bar goes up to the hard man and sez, so, how do get to be a hard man. The hard man, in a good mood sez..just give 'em the ole one three. He swings his left fist 'one', then swing his right 'three''. Got that? give 'em the ole one three.
Great sez the little guy but what about 'two'. Oh sez the hard man, you get that.
Getting 'two' would probably be no worse than being rear-ended with bayonet like Qaddafi or hanged like Saddam or made rot in jail like Milosevic.
Many at this point would cheer any and all of those methods being used on the traitors in washington.
Our representative govt officials now represent their own intrests at the peril of those they swore to protect.
The tree of liberty is withering, and is in desparate need of a thorough watering.
In agriculture, there is a term known as " the permanant wilting point" beyond this point no action can save the plant.
The American government has been terrorizing us with the Russian and Iranian threat for my entire lifetime and I have yet to experience one trespass against my freedom or security by either, but MANY by those sworn to protect me......
exactly by design.. working as intended... stay scared and make yourself feel good by maxing your credit
Vladimir...just a reminder...Vegas is open 24/7 and you can get your club card punched for tripple winnings. Shrimp cocktail still only seven bucks. We'd love to have you visit sometime...so it would be really cool if you'd skip the Nellis and Indian Springs, Creech targets. The Bellagio is lovely this time of year but a nuclear glow would mess with the fountain lighting scheme.
Those Satans must be hella-spensive. Save 'em for the morons in DC ...pulleeeeze.
lvp, you can bet 1 Satan has been saved for Adelson's Venetian.
I'm no expert but I've paid attention to the US Air Force for all of my life.
If the other branches are like the Air Force then here's the situation, from what I can tell.
The real men have been gradually but inexorably driven OUT of the service since the early 1990's. PC policies are chiefly responsible for this.
Gone are the veteran NCOs with experience in peacetime and wartime, a solid work ethic, and a moral compass. The ones who didn't separate of their own accord were either hopelessly mangled or killed somewhere along the road called GWoT.
So what's left?
Immigrants of questionable legal status with uncertain loyalties
Sad sacks who can't make it in the private sector
Unskilled labor with nowhere to go
Gang members seeking weapons/explosives training
College graduates with liberal arts degrees worth nothing
Bi/Homo/Transsexual/Transgender individuals seeking like-minded people
And so on.
The US Armed Forces are encumbered with an endless stream of political agendas foisted on them by Washington. War-fighting is not the priority it once was, not by a long shot - political correctness rules the day.
Add to this disturbing state of affairs the corruption of the American MIC - which is more attuned to maximizing profits than it is in providing top-quality, durable, and highly effective military hardware - and you have the makings of an unmitigated disaster.
Russia is a large country with effective weapons but the population is small. If cornered, they may well use nukes.
China is a large country with a large population but it's anyone's guess how their weapons will perform. They still haven't figured out how to build durable powerplants for the J-11. Plus, they lack combat experience.
So there we are, I guess. Not sure who I'd give the edge to but I will say this: I wouldn't let anyone I love join the US military right now.
Russia has many small, low yield projectiles. China's tend to be in the megaton range.
If we have to piss someone off I'd prefer it be Russia. My house could survive a Nellis or Creech tactical strike. If China lobs a big one anywhere in the Valley...I'm toast.

Seriously - the US military are and have been assholes working for the Red Shield/Morgan/Rockefellers et al banksters since the Civil War.
Someone should have stopped that pre-planned genocide "civil war" by the banksters to loot the South. I sometimes wonder if a few Union generals got that and this is why Abe fired them.
The Russian military is filed with smart, hard and serious men. It is not a make work program for misfits and affirmative and transgender action. Look at NovoRussia. They had nothing and quickly formed an army militas that smashed the Ukraine. Kudos to Ukie kids who quot the rigged game to make them cannon fodder.
The programmers working on Russian weapons systems are among the best in the world backed by the best physcists, rocket engineers and other engineers. I think the still unfinished F-35 software code was written by H 1b's from India and affirmative action hires.
The Pentagram weapons procurement system is all based on fraud and theft. The Pentagram and Congress plus their freinds robbing taxpayers blind. The whole thing is rotten to the core and will eventually fail.
Technology was the only thing that saved America and Russia in much more advanced in aerospace and rocketry. Game ove rthere.
"Plus, they lack combat experience."
Well, yes and no.
They take martial arts for gym class, and they have access to some of the best military tacticians in history for Philosophy class. Sun Tzu et al. And their country is thousands of years old, they have had many wars. It is part of their culture.
All in all, though, +1 for the post.
Who has Vlad's suicide watch tonight? If he asks you about the price of oil, change the subject to vodka. Or maybe tell him he looks great with his new shoe lifts!
There was a time when I thought you were getting paid to do this but I've come across enough of your posts now to know that you are just one dumb as a door knob troll.
Wow, where did Pepe get hold of Soviet propaganda pamphlets for elementary schoolchildren from 1970s and early 1980s? This is how the Soviets intended to lessen their fears of the Imperialists: by trumpeting how destructive their own nukes were.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Putin's newest POS weapon hit russian civilians in a remote village:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35106935
As one politician used to say - Ooops....
Not only the missle failed, looks like the self-destruction capability failed as well! (or in a typical soviet style it wasn't even designed to have self-destruction functionality?)
And of course F18s, F15s, F16s, CF104s, etc have never plowed into houses, heighbourhoods and anything like that say in....
Canada,
Germany,
The USSA...
You're right, Russia's full of shit.
We can all breather easier now.

Anybody want to buy a Starfighter?
Then buy a plot of land.......and wait.
The Lockheed F104 Starfighter was such a joke in Germany, someone wrote an entire album about it.
I posted a link to it the other day, but here it is again for Hawkwind fans.

The BBC are proven liars. This story may be true or it may not. Quoting the BBC means shit these days.
It appears to be true. I saw on Russian source and now RT, but never read details.
Keep in mind the US cruise missile was developed under Carter in the 1970s. How far behind are the Russians?
First off, the link you provide is not sourced. Where did this information come from? Second, no photo of the damage, just a file picture of a successful missile launch. Third, assuming the story is even true, it says that "part of" the missile hit the buildings, yet you claim there was no self-destruct mechanism. All in all, pretty lame.

Was this the same day a Russian rocket successfully docked with the International Space Station 400 kilometres above Planet Earth?
When was the last time the US or UK or Israel sent up a rocket that docked with the ISS?
So Russia loses the odd rocket in testing? And the BBC are just wetting themselves to tell us all about it?
Tell us something new.
Russia is a country that sacrificed 20 million people to win World War 2. If they are forced into a corner by the same war-mongering fucks - Zion and Anglo-America - they will happily sacrifice a thousand duds in their rocket arsenal as long as the other thousand succeed.
Unfortunately, the objective of the US MIC is not to win wars, but simply to have them. It really doesn't matter who wins, as long as US, French, German and UK corporations can sell weapons and military services. Worse, many in the US MIC are quite eager to commit suicide in the "rapture."
Not the military driving this, at least no lower levels of seirous people.
This is Israeli-Neocon strategy : make it worse until we are forced to let them rule for fear of worse to come.
I don't think that will work, only question is how fast we citizens put an end to it. This is our country, we need to take it back from them, and it is easy, no one need be killed.
Just send in the Obama wookie, she should be able to take out a couple of army corps by her fearsome screech
Putin saw that he was losing control with the large crowds protesting across Russia, so he realized he must create the biggest diversion since Napoleon, just to remain in power.
So, while the entire world seeks to expand their own nation's welfare, Putin changed focus to himself. He had already destroyed any decent future for Russians in his first terms in office, now it was time to save himself. In the face of Obama's own cowardace, Putin's cowardace looks better. But don't consider the awful economy, medical care, emigration, alcoholism, AIDS, and SURELY don't consider the Russian boys who die in his biggest illegal war, in Ukraine, and are cremated there, to hide the truth from their parents.
Putin proves daily that he is no Hitler, nor Stalin. He wants to be, but his KGB/FSB brothers have been supporting his lack of intelligence for 2 decades now.
Will Russians wake up before Putin dies? I don't think so, they've just never lived under any society that values human integrity, passing from the tyranny of the tsars, to the Soviets, quickly to the KGB, & the world's largest crime family.
IF Ukraine succeeds in escaping his bloody hands, Russia becomes immediately toast, and soon drops below Ukraine in GDP. Will anyone actually notice?
Whatever gets you through the night.
Back on planet earth, by the time Putin dies---in bed, beloved and mourned by a grateful Russian people---Russia will be the richest country in a free and prosperous Eurasia purged of its bankster and Muslim fifth columns.
It's Uncle Sugar who'll finally need to get serious about sealing the Mexican border---to stop his remaining tax-peons from defecting to a freer and more prosperous nation.
Putin has the highest approval rating in the world. Even Assad's approval rating is higher than Obama's, and Bush's, and Clinton's, and Bush's...
"So, while the entire world seeks to expand their own nation's welfare"
Are you fucking kidding me? I stopped reading right there.
Hey Paddy, come back when you've got some facts, instead of just vomiting all over your keyboard and thinking "That'll do!"
So it comes down to this.
At least I see it for what it is.
When I was a kid and the world was divided in two, at least the west was still moral. The soviets were murdering bastards, that is completely true.
But the Soviets are gone and the only reason we now hate Putin is that he threw all the Rothchild backed Russian Jew Oligarchs in prison. And we're gonig to go to war because Russia won't bow to the Rothchilds?
How in the fuck did we end up here?

This is the geopolitical equivalent of an open-carry policy.
Russia and Israel have both figured out that your typical feral African or Arab is a lot more polite to civilized people able and willing to blow his head or his balls off in nothing flat.
The Russian and Israeli nuclear arsenals are effective deterrents to crude attempts by Wall Street and its proxies to conquer them. (Nobody's figured out how to hedge against Manhattan being turned into a radioactive crater.) Nuclear war is not actually a goal in Moscow or Jerusalem.
WTF? Israeli's nuclear arsenal is the nuclear arm of the Rothschilds/City of London/Wallstreet/BIS financial empire. Russia has now stationed dozens of nukes within a few hundred miles if not even closer to Israel. By doing so, Russia is telling the Rothschilds that even Israel, designed since inception to be the last redoubt of the bankers, will be vaporized in minutes along with the US communictation networks atop the Dimona weapons facility should the US attack Russia in Syria. Every major US city will be vaporized a few minutes later. This is Russia's final and last attempt to convince the finanical powers that run the US to back off, or otherwise Israel itself will be vaporized with a few nukes. Of course Israel has a few nukes that may even reach Russia but the Russian first strike on Israel's weapons facilities will be massive making it unlikely that Israel has a survivable nuclear strike force. Also Russia now has S-400s located to the north of Israel, directly over the path of any Israel launch toward Russia. The Russian threat to annihilate Israel instantly is a gambit that the Russians have to play because Israel is THE ONLY COUNTRY THE ROTHSCHILDS VALUE AT ALL. Everyone knows it.
Listen to Putin's speech about how 85% of the first communist party that ran the USSR was jewish (14 seconds into the youtube link). Why did the jews comprise the overwhelming majority of communists in the USSR and why did they organize the death of millions of slavs? Putin knows that the powers that run the US are 85% jewish as well.

The Russians have waited for the Rothschilds (and other banking friends) to give up their lifelong family goal of world domination. The Russian's last option is to turn Syria into a Stalingrad for the US/NATO/Israel/Turkey. Ditto for Yemen, as this will be the Stalingrad for the Saudis. All done with careful planning; each stage was reversible if the other side (US/NATO) had backed off from the plan to destroy Russia. But the final option is nuclear exchange with the complete and total destruction of Israel occuring first. With enough radioactivity to make inhabiting the area impossible for hundreds of years.
Turkey and Israel as well as the US and England will be defeated militarily in a limited nuclear exchange, although limited can become all out should the US continue to fight Russia. There will be complete chaos in the US. The amount of Western real estate and wealth that the Russians can destroy is of course a 100 x more than the West can inflict on them in a nuclear exchange. The losses are completely assymmetric. The US military, or perhaps various states militias and the rural folk still alive in the US will negotiate with the Russians and a new constitutional government will be formed in what remains of the once, great US. Our last independent US president was assasinated by an internal coup and all we have now are CIA puppets such as Obama running the US.
Perhaps the crazy, deluded bankers think a limited nuclear war will be just the thing to rev up the economy as well as result in their final goal which for complete world domination. A few trillion here and there to rebuild cities and suddenly Jobs galore!
What's changed is that in the earlier cold war, the Rothschilds strategy was to infiltrate the USSR using dual citizen traitors who could bribe enough KGB who would then then pull the USSR down from within as happened in the 1990's. But the dual citizens were arrested and stolen state assets returned so now the option is to destroy Russia by exhausting it in low level battles on it's borders. Russia has forseen this and spent the last 15 years modernizing it's military and forging alliances.
The low level wars now in Syria and Yemen will more than likely now exhaust the West and breakup the EU if not NATO itself. Turkey is a led by a madman and it may attack Russian forces again hoping NATO is drawn it, but Russia will simply destroy Turkish forces in Syria. What can the US do in response? They cannot attack Russian forces without risking a nuclear exchange. Turkey loses, Russia wins and the US has to leave Syria.
"breakup the EU if not NATO itself."
NATO (in its present form) cannot survive.
From your lips to God's ears.
The global racketeering cabal definitely wants war.
Don't bullshit yourself for a nanosecond that there is a single (p)residential 'candidate' that's been frogmarched out in front of us that isn't going to forward this agenda.
Russias greatest flaw:
Thinking it can win a nuclear war.
Americas greatest flaw:
Thinking a nuclear war will never be fought.
Much truth in that statement.
Sure to attract massive ZH human wave attacks.
I don't believe Russia wants nuclear war. It's called deterrence. Most sane human beings do not want a nuclear war.
Power crazed neoconservatives pitching "full spectrum dominance" with messianic delusions of being "God's chosen people" doing "God's work" are not what I would consider sane human beings.
no doubt pretty lady.
I can't say exactly what Russia thinks about a nuke war...
But I strongly believe there are lunatics inside Washington and the Pantygon who believe the US can win a nuke war against Russia.
That is what makes the current situation so volatile.
There are so many branches to this discussion. In a purely tactical sense, Russia would be able to easily overpower NATO in Eastern Europe and hold the ground they seize. There really isn't any easy way to encroach into Russia without facing the same fate as the French and Germans. Their missile and air defense technology also neuters many of the US's traditional advantages. This is the primary reason why so much emphasis is placed on encircling Russia and getting NATO as close to their border as possible, also the reason Ukraine is so important to the EU and US in spite of being a corrupt, insolvent cleptocracy. Trying to get Russia bogged down in the ME could be one strategy and might explain Turkey's provocation and brinksmanship, on behalf of NATO of course.
In the end, I find the ideas of Joel Skousen and James Corbett more tenable. To become a military or political leader at the national level requires a certain level of brutal cunning, ambition and ties to the global elite. I am not really sure I can pick a good player. The global compass is pointing us in the NWO direction, it is just a matter of whose order it will be.
I don't. Everyone is so sure they can see the future and the great questions of the hour, and have answer to those great questions.
Every war turns out to have been a really bad decision for all, but completely awful for 'the losers'. 'Win' used as though it has some meaning other than 'last man standing, sort of'.
Put reality on the words, the megadeaths immediate and multi-megadeaths in the long run.
People who advocate military as a solution to anything are unhinbed, it doesn't gd work. Can nobody see that simple fact? What world war was a win for who? At best, some avoided annihilation. Can you believe the US came out of WWII better than if it had never entered it?
And if we had never entered WWI, WWII would not have happend, by everyone from the far left through Buchanan's book of a few years back.
Another pro Russyia propaganda on ZH? You don't say? I guess it's an easier bet to inflitrate western "dissidents" through blogs than to wage RT against CNN and its ilk. I liked ZH much better when it simply provided a skeptical voice to consensus rather than serve as a voice piece for the same type, yet oppositional, position.
Interesting, within about 30 seconds of posting, -2 votes. Dare I imagine a clickbank by Russian propagandists monitoring social media and blogs are afoot? I so dare. Don't worry Russia, I don't disapprove of your actions in the Crimea and I don't disapprove of your move to prop up Assad. It's realpolitik after all. I just hate propaganda posing as organic opinion.
It would seem that north of 90% of ZH are infiltrators and dissidents. Maybe they're just right.
<It seems to me that when a pope excommunicates the entire congregation, he rather excommunicates himself.>
-Thomas Hobbes (paraphrased)
How much of that congregation consists of little boys?
You tell me, Bopper.
One downvote on the entire page and this is where I get it? Sorry Bopper. Just having some fun.
I must admit tarabel, I disagree with you, but you have class. I hope Putin displays your level of restraint.
accuse your opponent of what you are doing to him.
who was that? - alinsky? lenin?
dare i imagine a whole clickbank of hasbara and paid trolls somewhere, say on the east coast?
Paying attention to what's going on in the world? Russia is not always great, and I'm under the assumption that his central bank is pulling his strings like the rest of the world leaders. But from listening to him tell blatent truths, if I had to guess that there's a world leader that's not under satanist control, it'd be Putin. And let's not pretend that if the power shifts to the east they will not easily be corrupted. Just like every single other king / government in human history. Sometimes we get periods of honesty though.
Little off topic, but I'll thank you in advance for never, never, ever again using the fucking word swagger. Fuck sakes, I think 'rainbow' pisses me off less. Fuck.
The EU has no army to speak of and the reduced US army is all over the planet. We could not re-take Kuwait today or defeat Saddam with our current troop strength. In any conflict where Russia gets to move its army 200 miles to fight, while the U.S. has to go halfway around the globe - it's hard to see a U.S. victory. Same with China.
* Turkey started this fight, so NATO is not obliged to come to their aid.
* Obama would not fight, he'd just give Putin whatever he wants and they both get a Nobel Peace Prize.
* The US military has been so pozzed up with lesbians, whores, gays, trannies, Africans, Muslim fanatics, and standards so lowered to accommodate this diversity, that it's unlikely to maintain fighting cohesion for very long.
Somewhere soon a nuke will be used in anger. Likely more than one, and likely on certain battlefields in Syria, Turkey or Eastern Europe. I think it'll be the best thing that could happen to humanity. Try to imagine the deep global fear that'll be instantly unleashed. Billions of living humans and their children, will face the very high prospect of an early death. The entire history of humanity will seem to have been in vain. But before the consuming fire or the flesh eating radiation - as people are waiting their turn and venting their anger - it'll stop. And that fear will finally give everyone the courage to bring justice to humanity and to do away with the causes of the horror. I hope it happens this way if it has to happen. Otherwise, nuclear winter.
Some say that Israel has nuked a Syrian nuclear plant. Others have reportedly used nukes already, too. Baby steps...
israel nuked fukushima
Yeh, I'd agree with all that orck, a nuke going off somewhere would probably be the only thing that would wake up the dumbed-down, zombie, CNN/Fox/Sky crowd, although chances are the MSM wouldn't even give it air time.
"Move along folks, nothing to see here."
yeh, right.
The nuke is always going off somewhere else.
We're invincible.
We have already seen the consequences of nuclear war.
Anyone who thinks that is beneficial to humanity is insane.
"But insanity is a perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world." R D Laing
So orck - You think a limited nuclear war is the best thing that could happen to humanity?
Like to start it in your home town?
Or maybe Washington, for more deserving victims?
Get yourself an anti-psychotic prescription.
When you use a nuclear weapon in anger, it would probably be wise to empty your arsenal of them all. Immediately.
There's very little to be gained by waiting to see how your rival reacts.
Fuck any military solution. You can't take away the will and capability of the enemy by tanks and bombs because they won't stand and fight. It is roadside bombs and suicide attacks .
"the Pentagon has run all manner of war games... (a)ll scenarios were favorable to NATO. All simulations yielded the same victor: Russia."
I find this very interesting and somewhat surprising. Thank you Mr. Escobar... and ZH + Sputnik News.
Agree - where does this come from? Questionable to say the least. As to Pepe's contention that Russia is armed to the teeth with very capable defensive and nuclear weapon systems that it may well be forced to use - point taken.
Edit: Re: wargames http://foreignpolicy.com/2015/09/18/exclusive-the-pentagon-is-preparing-... but this is the Baltics. Interesting.
Pepe jumps the shark again... there are two major flaws with his assertion,
1) that Ochmanek's eight games revolving NATO-Russia conflict with RAND are the ONLY scenarios run (as if the Staff Colleges and private think tanks don't produce anything, much less Andrew Marshall's team at ONA); and
2) that a private MIC-sponsored think tank would ever write a paper that implies anything other than MOAR MIC is the solution. There are variations how that can be expressed, but there will never be a serious strategy paper that says, USA is A-OK, #1 winner, and Uncle Sam has every thing and every authority he needs in order to succeed...
---
Edit: e.g. here is RAND threatening Chinese victory over Tiawan and the USA unless the US taxpayer coughs up cash or debt to buy a bunch of new F22s and station them in Guam (RAND conveniently buries in the footnotes that 1) good old existing B-1Bs would work just as well as pricey new F22s, and 2) a bunch of guys on the Taiwan beaches with the same portable missiles that NATO is providing to the "resistance" is Syria could wreak havoc on the laughable Chinese sea-lift capacity. But sure... the paper "actually" says China beats the USA on game day, or is that just Wired Magazine (or Foreign Policy's) spin on the content of the papers...
abso-fucking-lutely right.
But on the otherhand, it was all too easy money and so, slowly US defence industry started doing project which had special effects rather than real combat value.
Many Weapons based on GPS is a good example. slow communication protocols and lack of security for weapon systems are other weaknesses of US defence that are all too real.
I still would not say, Russia is a clear winner. I still believe we all die together.
<-- Satan America & West's policy :
'In order to make omlette(money) we need to break the egg(Russia)'
Fine, go for it , with your crackhead leaders like CabalA$$LickerPervertLiarObamma, Nuland, McCain , Joe Biden, DavidCameron, Hollande, Merkel, Netanyahu, erDOGan , Salman, et al
'Russia is only a developing country'
Hah ha
---------
In order to make US & west go tizzy topsy turvey,
Russia only need to use 8 words :
'If you want war, you will have war'
That will make the weak stock market go crazy in US
They would start selling & relocating their businesses elsewhere in safer places,
stock mkt crash would lead to crash of dollar
that will make the entire western economy go tumbling down
and at the same time BRICS emerges operational with all the gold, resources & products
starts lending & trading w/o SWIFT
End of western civilization
------
The article should also have mentioned the secret peaceful EMP ecm weapon which Russia has , which can cripple entire aircraft carrier's electronics to duds
I wish Russia used all the money it spends on propaganda to fund its budget deficit
Do you....REALLY?
Well, let's see. Russian debt to GDP ratio is 17%. In the USA the debt is almost $19 Trillion or 72% of GDP. WHO should be paying more attention to their deficit?
Look.....The leftists have been upset with Russia, ever since Putin offended gays at the olympics....
The left is upset that, the land of their hero`s, marx, and lenin, has not integrated, or obediently bowed to the multicultural, enviromental caliphate of socialism.......
So, of course you realize......this means war!......
The West also has considerable military material and plenty of nuclear weapons. MAD is assured. That being said, nobody in Europe will come to Turkey's aide in case there is a conflict between Turkey and Russia. Even if the Turks invoke NATO art. 5. Nobody in Europe is willing to have a military confrontation fought out in Europe with Russia. Last time that happened it didn't quite turn out good for the continent. This time it would be even worse. Russia has thousands of tactical nuclear weapons that they will use to protect their troops.
This is what you want… this is what you get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8Ne9sRcSrM
Wait. Putin, Xi and Obama are in the same country club they are doing well so nothing bad can happen to them. That is we, grunts, who suppose to die. So all the scenarios of mutual annihilation are just flexing intellectual mussels in a college debate unless insane neocons believe they can win and are willing to seek martyrdom by blowing up the very country club house that feeds them. But I do not think so since they are just disgusting little worms. That's all.
For those who do not know, battle theaters have been chosen all over the world, central Europe, central Asia and east Asia and Australia. Who wins there, by gentlemanly agreement, will concede this debate and will be shamed meanwhile millions will be dead or maimed.
There is now unified global elite and they have good thing going, no reason to mess it up, what they have problem with is ZH crowd and millions alike and a war should take care of that.
That's why nuclear war will be limited and choreographed so nobody important is gets hurt.
The next global war will start in space and may as well end there if one side decisively prevails, so hold on to your satellite dish.
Watch for regional wars, Taiwan, Japan, Middle East etc., and no more than that, but one way or another blood of some poor grunts will flow red and will clogs the gutters just like now in Syria.
More on Syrian war can be found here:
https://syrianwarupdate.wordpress.com/
Sorry, IMHO you're deluded if you believe Putin, Xi and Obama all have the same objectives. Simply not the case.
The Frauderal Reserve has a response for Putin, We will drop one ton of newly printed greenbacks on Moscow. The paper cuts that will result will give Putin plenty to worry about.
We've already tested this battleplan in Iraq when we dropped $14 BILLION worth of shrink wrapped pallets of hundred dollar bills, one landed on the hole that Saddam Hussein was hiding in! the money was never found. Mission accomplished.
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/12/world/investigation-into-missing-iraqi-cash-ended-in-lebanon-bunker.html
If we do go to war with Russia, we would shut down the markets during the nuclear bombings and nuclear winter, then reopen it one year later, touting all of the new war stimulus spending and rebuilding, since most of the freestanding structures will have been demolished in the U.S. This surely would make the market continue it's ascent. So you see, we at the Fraud have plans even for war to keep this market rising to the heavens. Nothing can stop us! HAHAHAHA!!
Well, then the Pentagram staff had best be ready to engange alone because the rest of us are not. My guns are not turned towards Russians.
Who, then?
Correct Mani my friend,
The same applies to 'Kooks' over at GCHQ, including the Prime Minister himself, his friends, colleagues, and family members can fuck off over Syria and fight the good fight.
While were at it, the entire filthy rat infested shit hole of the houses of parliament can go over to Syria seeing as the dirty cunts voted unanimously for direct action against a sovereign state, that they themselves are arming and backing the 'Moderate Rebels', fighting against said state.
Take your friends you filthy rat bastard MPs, take your family members, take anyone who agrees with you swines. Go ahead and walk the talk for once in your wasted, comfy lifes, go ahead and die for the ideals you would have expected us daft cunts to do in your honour, eh?
;-)
Love And Rockets - Ball Of Confusion Lyrics
People moving out, people moving in
Why? Because of the color of their skin
Run, run, run but you just can't hide
An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth
Vote for me and I'll set you free
Rap on, rap on brother
Rap on
Well, the only person talking about love today is the preacher
And it seems nobody gets just all the learning but the teacher
Segregation, determination, demonstration, integration
Aggravation, humiliation, devastation of our nation
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey, hey
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey, hey
The sale of pills at an all time high
Who put the filling in the primus sky?
The city's a flame in the summer time
And the beat goes on
And the beat goes on
And the beat goes on
And the beat goes on
Economics, reaganomics, birth control, the status quo
Shooting rockets to the moon, kids growing up too soon
The Politicians say and the band plays on
So, round and around and around we go
Where the world's heading
Nobody knows
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey, hey hey
Fear in the air, tension everywhere
Unemployment rising fast
Rockets new record's a gas
And the band played on
And the band played on
And the band played on
And the band played
Eve of destruction, tax deduction, city inspectors, bill collectors
Solid gold in demand, population out of hand, suicide
Too many bills, everyone movin' to the hills
People all over the world are dying in the war
And the band played on
And the band played on
And the band played on
And the band played
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey
Hey, ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey
Ball of confusion, ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey
Hey, ball of confusion, ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey
Ball of confusion, ball of confusion
Ball of confusion, ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today
Hey hey, hey hey, hey hey, hey hey
Ball of confusion
That's what the world is today

Ball of confusion

Military capabilities and strategies are well-kept secrets on both sides. Whilst Pepe might have access to certain publicised information about war games, etc., I doubt he has access to the REAL situation. So these analyses are certainly entertaining, but not to be taken too seriously, I thnik,
One thing I do suspect, however. If NATO/USSA thought they could defeat Russia in Europe or the ME, or anywhere else for that matter, they would have already done so because they know the longer they wait, the more dangerous Russia becomes - for that reason alone, I would guess the NATO/USSA does not really believe they can defeat Russia, short of all-out nuclear war.
Barry only took the job 'cause he thought the PentaGoon's policy of "Full Spectrum Dominance" was one of "Full SPHINTER Dominance"... and to Barry, that was a "good thing".
And if Russian toys don't fry USSA'S psychopath oligarchs before they slither into their ratholes then surely the scabby, unwashed, despised Mercan masses will eat their fat asses when/if they ever crawl back above ground. All in all win win for..."reasonable" people.
Onward to civil war reloaded...the war to end all our wars.
Mister Escobar seems to play the Nuke Angle too quickly and a bit too far. Sounds a bit amateurish. Don't think he spent too much time interviewing Cold War Flag Officers and Bureaucrats from either side in the 80s.
Yes, it eventually "might" escalate to the use of Nukes; but probably not in the first round by RUS. RUS has too much advantage on Conventional Forces and Ordnance bases - they're just prepping everyone to be ready for the worst; and reminding NATO Citizens to ask their Governments why should they face the risk of getting MOAR Refugees while facing the risk of being nuked themselves because of the Erdogans, ISIL, and their Sponsors.
NATO may be hard-pressed enough to resort to Nukes; and Tac Nukes at that - save for the Brzezinski(sp?) and Nuland Camps I don't think Team_USA would want to push the button.
I don't think citizens of NATO Club Members would want to be swarmed by Cruise Missiles, Bombers, FOABs, and Conventional TBMs - which should leave their Infra into shambles. TRK will be cut off and overrun. GRC probably won't participate - neither would ITA, FRA and DEU on behalf of TRK, from what I gather. TRK "will" lose the Bosphorous; and RUS might let the Kurds, SYR, IRQ, GRC, and IRN Annex healthy chunks of Ottoman land in the process.
No need for Nukes.
Nothing personal against the TRKish People - just making an assessment in case the Erdogans and their Partners in Brussels/London/DC let their greed and delusions overcome the "Rational" keeping them out of trouble.
This FACT must be faced:
America's enemy is NOT Russia. America's enemy is WITHIN its gates.
The USA has been hijacked and fully morphed into the USSA - an illegimate ZIO-Thug Rogue Entity: Asset-Stripper of Americans; Constitution Shredder; Wager of criminal, illegitimate foreign wars; Sponsor of terrorism; and run by a by 5th Column of ZIO-SCUMMM* beholden to the Jewish Apartheid, Warfare, Expansionist State of Israel.
The USSA is YOUR enemy - not Russia.
(SCUMMM * - "Satanic Cabal Underwriting Mass Murder & Mayhem " - comprised of the likes of Paul "Rat FAce" Wolfowitz; Elliot "Rat Face" Abrams; MIchael " Ghoul Face" Cherrtoff; The KKK (KAGAN Kriminal Kabal, William Kristool, ADL, AIPAC.. et al)
You nailed it.
Putin is the western bankers' lapdog as he still sells Russian oil for American dollars and allows the existence of a Russian Central Bank controlled by, and subservient to, the City of London and Wall Street.
Therefore,
all this armament
is
useless
as
it's not
going to be used
against
its masters (JPM, Goldman Sachs, The Fed, Citi, Deutsche Bank, LA Banque de France...)
The Russians will defend Mother Russia at all costs and win against anyone stupid enough to invade Russia. But it is highly unlikely that Russia would ever succeed in an invasion of Europe or anyone else for that matter.
The Russians may act to put their original empire back together but that is about where it ends and any fool who understands a little bit of history will know this.
Their original and never ending policies are to gain open water access so they can become a sea power like Japan, UK, and the US but geography has always conspired against them.
If you examine what happened in WWII closely you will see that Stalin was hoping that when the Germans invaded France that they would become bogged down in a battle of attrition with England and France just like WWI. As such Stalin deployed the vast majority of his troops in a forward deployment set to invade into Germany when the moment was right. Imagine their surprise when the German Military Wiz Kids won in a few weeks and with little casualties. It would be an interesting read to get into the Kremlin and look at all those documents and plans.
Because the Russian Forces were forward deployed to invade Germany, they were easy marks for the Germans in the beginning of their invasion of Russia, which is why they suffered terrible losses in the first years of that invasion. So much so, that if the Japanese had attacked Russia instead of the US the war would have been over. Or if Hitler had not fought a political war, the Germans would have won. But it was impossible for the Japanese to attack as they did not have the resources as a result of the American embargo. Also, Hitler believed his own BS about National Socialism and fought a National Socialist war against Russia. But even so, the Russians were so mauled they needed massive amounts of aid in order to prevail.
Russia are ready and very capable and will be joined by Iran in the early stages of WW3, who else throws in their hat is anyone's guess!
When this takes place there will also be an exposure of who really runs the planet.....
http://beforeitsnews.com/conspiracy-theories/2015/12/is-russian-presiden...
let's be clear, Central and Eastern Europe will not be fighting another costly war, at least not in Europe, which would be exactly what would happen if Europe is pitted agaisnt Russia and Russia is not alone, if things get hot, China will jump at the chance of more sovereingty and to eliminate it's biggest threats, Australia, the US and Japan, and then go get Taiwan back. India will not sit idle, and will get in it with Russia against Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and even GB. Any war against Russia will be the dissolution of NATO, and the US will have to fight a war, with the help of only GB, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia, and their pathetic little allies, Europe will mostly sit on the side lines.
Canada won't be getting invovled in any war against Russia and China. Hell, we will probably be buying Russian jets.
I think what is really needed is for Trump to pp over to Moscow and have a really good tete a tete with Putin.
Then get back to his debates and spread some really uncomfortable home truths across the US, and at the same time consign all the fucking cocksucking neocon fuck wits along with hitlery clitcunt to an early grave as people are suddenly jarred wide awake
Sputnik News :D ha ha ha
RT has been feeling the heat as of late, from critics in the West to Russians fed up with seeing so much of their state’s wealth pissed away on propaganda aimed at foreigners. The response to these critics has come largely in the form of anonymous hit pieces on RT’s website, as well as from RT chief Margarita Simonyan herself on her Livejournal account.
I’ve read plenty of these responses and they’re typically filled with bizarre logic, unsubstantiated claims, and insinuations about the motives of their critics. Personally I’ve found RT’s reactions to be rather amusing because they present a paradox- RT is supposed to be so successful, yet it has to constantly run articles about how popular it is, while its staff, including senior people and even the network’s own chief apparently spend considerable time attacking critics.
Imagine, if you will, that this entire blog was about how much CNN sucks. I highly doubt anyone from CNN would post a special op-ed on their website attempting to refute my claims. I’m quite certain the head of the network wouldn’t bother. I’m damned sure they wouldn’t attempt to smear me as some kind of paid agent, perhaps working for MSNBC. Naturally this is quite laughable, because big successful networks, even those which suck like CNN, don’t feel the need to defend themselves against such criticism.
Now lately I’ve been thinking of making a rule, more accurately a hierarchy, which describes the quality of Russian foreign language media. It goes RT>Sputnik>Russia Insider. And now days, if RT does something stupid, Sputnik’s going to lower the bar considerably. And that’s exactly what they did in this article.
In case you hadn’t heard, or in case you just don’t use Twitter, there was a parody account based on Sputnik that became famous for being near-indistinguishable from the real thing. If you want to see how indistinguishable, try your hand at this quiz. Recently the parody account was shut down for violating certain regulations in Twitter’s Terms of Service agreement, but it was quickly resurrected under a different name.
So what did the real Sputnik do? Well Sputnik is just so successful and widespread that they just had to dedicate an entire article to the parody account, claiming that it is proof of Sputnik’s popularity. This was a real genius move, as it duly informed otherwise unaware readers that there was a parody account. That in turn begs the question as to why there is a parody account in the first place. But that parody account was shut down and the article mentions this, right? Yeah, and it also mentions that it was restored. Just look at this:
“In what could be testament to the growing popularity of this website, Sputnik nevertheless attracted not one, but several parody accounts.
Unfortunately for the people running it, the account violated Twitter’s impersonation guidelines and was deleted, although a new one soon popped up.”
Hmmm…Your serious news site has, according to you, several parody accounts, one of which was so similar it was taken down for “impersonation.” So yeah, that could be a testament to the growing popularity of your website. But it could also be that your content is so redonkulously batshit insane that numerous individuals derive great entertainment out of satirizing it. Again, it begs the question as to why this site has so many parody accounts and why are they often difficult to distinguish from the real thing?
It gets even better though. Sputnicians vow to get to the bottom of this:
“Out of genuine curiosity, we here at Sputnik decided to carry out one of those “open source investigations” employing “digital forensics” to find out, with varying degrees of certainty, who is behind the account.”
Yes, the super popular serious news site conducted an “open source investigation” into the people behind these parody accounts. In other words, they’re doing the same thing they claim is utter bullshit when Bellingcat does it. But then again, they’re not really using the methodology of Bellingcat, which becomes apparent when you see the results they came up with.
“The preliminary results turned out to be pretty uninteresting: an American expatriate in Kiev, who also has some sort of vendetta against Russia’s president; a Finnish systems administrator, who has too much free time at the community college where he is employed; a Russian blogger, who in the recent past was involved in the killing and dismemberment of cats.”
An American expat in Kyiv with a “vendetta against Russia’s president.” I don’t know who this could be, but leave it to Sputnik to call criticism of their glorious leader a “some sort of vendetta.”
Next there’s the systems administrator who “has too much free time on his hands.” First of all, he’s a systems administrator, so the fact that he has time to tweet stuff from work shouldn’t be too surprising. Also it’s a little rich accusing him of having too much free time when these people are claiming they did an actual investigation into the people behind a Twitter account. Maybe they ought to be sending out some people to run down the story behind that hand grenade attack (originally thought to be an IED) at a bus stop on Pokrovka last night.
Lastly I don’t know about the cat-killing Russian blogger, but since no names are given for anyone and only the slightest details appear, we can’t really trust that bizarre claim. If the guy actually killed and dismembered cats I’ll be the first to condemn him, but as it is this just isn’t convincing.
And so those are the results of their big investigation. The article ends with the typical RT-style gloating and obliviousness to irony.
“It may seem like a worthwhile pursuit for three strangers, bored on the Internet, to entertain pundits, in essence becoming a second-rate version of them. Let’s hope that they learn the rules on trademarks and impersonation, or at least gain aspirations to go beyond small-time Internet fame.”
Once again, Sputnik is so successful, unlike these dorks with too much free time on their hands, that it must do an investigation, write and copy edit an article, all in order to not really expose three people who might be behind a Twitter parody account. Not website mind you, Twitter account.
This is all pretty funny because unlike RT, Sputnik doesn’t really have as much reason to panic and defend itself with bizarre polemics and hit pieces. RT has suffered budget cuts and scrutiny over its performance and expenditures. Sputnik on the other hand received an increase in funds. Sputnik is far cheaper than RT as well. Dumping RT entirely would save the Russian government massive amounts of money, and Sputnik would be more or less just as effective. RT’s responses to critics are stupid and often inaccurate, but it’s logical as to why they engage in these tactics. They are indeed exaggerating their popularity and they require a massive budget. What is more, RT’s responses aren’t aimed at parodies but rather serious pundits, analysts, and journalists. The information war narrative remains intact.
Parody is another matter however. The fact that Sputnik found this matter so important as to write an article about it, risking the inevitable discovery of its parody accounts, is because parody and satire are extremely effective. Before I explain why, let’s look at what isn’t effective.
Remember how we heard about the “weaponization of information” and how the EU countries needed countermeasures? There were numerous conferences, meetings, and lectures on this topic. The EU’s solution was to create a sort of “mythbusters” outlet that would debunk Russian propaganda sources. Now this thing actually exists, and here’s what it looks like. Wow.
I found some interesting resources in this and previous releases, but that’s me, a writer, long-term resident in Russia, in short, someone who deals with this kind of crap on a near-daily basis. If you’re a layperson or new to the game, it seems this wouldn’t be very informative. And if this is supposed to convince Russians living in Baltic countries as one of the stated goals was, forget about it. Comments like “No evidence for these allegations given” aren’t going to convince any of them.
The infuriating thing is that this project must cost money, and I shudder to think how much was spent on it. Compare these reports to Stopfake, which survives off grants and consists of about a dozen or so people. Which would you rather read? Which is going to give you more context and background? Stopfake shows what self-organizing people can do on their own initiative.
Just as Stopfake is more effective than dry, state produced reports and documents, parody is effective because it totally deflates the Russian propaganda machine, any propaganda machine really. Already some Russian foreign language media outlets have hurled themselves across the line into self-parody. Russia Insider, for example, did it with this gem about Putin’s Christ like qualities. RT did it by publishing articles from that very same author, as well as whatever the hell this is supposed to be. Sputnik’s people must have been rightly scared at the idea that their brand was becoming indistinguishable from a parody account. What if someone more educated on Russian propaganda and the Kremlin’s political ideology were to create another parody? What if dozens of such people did?
RT, Sputnik, and the rest are very effective at attracting disaffected Westerners who don’t know much about Russia, its system, or its media. Russia’s propaganda machine paints itself as a voice of truth, a revolutionary voice against Western hegemony. Yet this image is as shallow as a teenager wearing a Che shirt and having no idea who he is. What is more, these people might have their convictions, but when they see that the Russian outlets are all followed by clusters of parody Twitter accounts or websites they’re going to start wondering how trustworthy these sources are. People don’t want to look stupid and thus they’ll be less inclined to associate with sources whose content is routinely mocked.
Panicky speeches about the “weaponization of information” and “information war” in conjunction with “hybrid warfare” only help people behind the Kremlin’s media. If they can show Western academics and leaders in hysterics over the information war, this not only confirms that the information war is a real, objective fact, and that the Russian efforts in information warfare are effective and thus worthy of their inflated budgets. On the other hand, if the Kremlin wants to see results and those results are laughter and mockery, the higher ups might be more than happy to pull the plug on an expensive budget item. Domestic propaganda in Russia is crucial, but foreign language propaganda is expendable.
So don’t panic. Point and laugh.
Nobody reads your sock-puppet sheite. Fuck off to CNN where you would be more welcome.
Russian Helicopter - MI-26 - thi is who NATO calls for salvage operations whenever one of their birds gets shot down by a bunch of guys wearing converse high tops and tea cozies on their heads. NATO is lucky Russia took the high-road morally speaking and never gave the Taliban their MANPAD missiles as the US did in the 1980s, which is one of the contributing factors as to what caused the downfall of Soviet forces in Afghanistan.

"If Ankara under the cover of NATO responds by launching the Turkish Army on Russian positions, Russia will use nuclear missiles, drawing NATO into war not only in Syria but potentially also in Europe. And this would include using nuclear missiles to keep Russian strategic use of the Bosphorus open."
Putin has been pretty clear that using nukes would be a last resort and would only be considered for 'existential' threats to the Russian Federation. Turkey attacking Russians inside Syria is far from being an existential threat.
He did actually state he had authorised retaliation by "all means".
No he didn't, he said 'any threat to Russian forces'.
Fearless leader Obama will protect us.
