MSNBC Anchor Stunned By Trump-Putin Lovefest

Tyler Durden's picture

Following Vladimir Putin's 'endorsement' of The Donald, explaining his hope for "a more substantial, deeper relationship," with America, Trump has reciprocated the show of respect by thanking the Russian president for the "great honor." This mutual back-patting stunned MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough, who exclaimed, Putin "is a person who kills journalists, political opponents and invades countries," to which Trump responded, silencing Scarborough, "he's running his country, and at least he's a leader, unlike what we have in our country."

“It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond,” the GOP presidential front-runner told supporters at a rally in Columbus, Ohio.

"I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect,” he added. However, as The Hill reports,"Morning Joe" co-host Joe Scarborough was not impressed...

Putin "is a person who kills journalists, political opponents and invades countries"

To which Trump responded...

"Certainly over the last couple of years they've respected him as a leader. I think he's up in the 80s, where you see Obama is in the 30s and low 40s — and he's up in the 80s," Trump said of Putin's popularity.

"I don't know who does the polls, maybe he does the polls," Trump added.

"You obviously condemn Vladimir Putin killing journalists and political opponents, right?" Scarborough asked.

"Well I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe, so..." Trump said, trailing off.

“I would get along with him,” Trump said in September. “I would get along with a lot of the world leaders that this country is not getting along with.”

He's also said Putin does not respect President Obama."Oh sure, absolutely," Trump responded.

GOP rivals such as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush have gone after Trump over his endorsement from Putin, who critics have blasted over his country's response to events including the situation in Ukraine.

"To get praise from Vladimir Putin is not going to help Donald Trump," Bush told CNN on Thursday evening.

“I would get along with him,” Trump said in September. “I would get along with a lot of the world leaders that this country is not getting along with.” He's also said Putin does not respect President Obama.

Funny no ZH coverage of Sanders Campaign getting sabotaged by the DNC. If the RNC did this to the Donald, and believe me they will do something similar at some point unless he is a controlled asset, ZH would have it at the the very top. I trust Tyler(s) just haven't gotten around to it since it's a Friday.

They have been trying to sabotage Trump for weeks now. Problem for them is that Trump is not a politician and has a solid spine, venomous tongue and is a massive asshole who enjoys abusing those that try to screw him.
Add the personal fortune and if there is a chink in his armor they have not found it yet (and since he is opposed to outsourcing to China, they might not be one).

Sanders on the other hand is a socialist turd with any of Trump's qualities and torpedoed his own campaign when he announced that he does not want to hear anymore
about Hillary's emails. I guess treason and
whoring herself and her position to foreign governments is not something he finds objectionable.

I am suspicious of everyone and everything including apparent non-establishment candidates Trump and Sanders. The comparative media blackout of Sanders (1/23rd the air time of Donald Trump and a tiny % of even back of the packers like Fiorina and Bush) and now the sabotaging by the DNC of the Sanders campaign gives me some hope he might be the real deal. Still waiting on something similar from the RNC, I know they discussed that one weird rules thing about the Republican Convention and delegates, but I'm talking action not talk. When the RNC does something to Trump the way the DNC is doing to Sanders I will believe that he might be the real deal. Right now he seems like either a distraction, a way to give the white house to Hilliary once Sanders is dealt with by making him go 3rd party and splitting the vote or the Real Deal (Which doesn't make him a good guy, just not a stooge of the Oligarchs). I can't tell yet, but I'm watching closely. There is no question The Donald has rubbed shoulders with some bad nasty types and done business deals with the same, the question is, whose side is he on really? I mean besides his own.

The Western media spin about Putin ‘endorsing’ Donald Trump is an attempt to slam both of them with one blow, says Richard B. Spencer, editor and founder of Radix journal.

READ MORE: Putin says ‘talented’ Trump is ‘absolute front-runner,’ welcomes pledge to work with Russia

RT: Why did the American media become so excited about Putin's remarks on Donald Trump?

Richard B. Spencer: I know it is very unusual for the American media to be hysterical and shrill; they are usually so calm and collected and rational. In all seriousness, Trump has been this force that I think the mainstream media doesn’t feel like it can really control. And so they are attacking him by basically saying that Putin “endorsed” Donald Trump. He didn’t really endorse him. He said some diplomatic things about Donald Trump, not endorse him. And again the American media has been demonizing Vladimir Putin, in particular, and really Russia, in general, as a country and as a society for quite some time, at least five years probably going on a decade. So, this was a kind of twofer for the American media. They could slam Trump, who they don’t trust, they don’t feel he’s the force they can control and they could also slam Putin and Russia.

Trump on Putin’s compliment: ‘Great honor’

RT: Why is so much attention being paid to relations between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump?

RS: I think that Putin and Trump in a way offer an alternative to what’s going on at the moment. They offer an alternative what you call neo-conservative or neoliberal foreign policy. I would stress that Vladimir Putin didn’t endorse Donald Trump. But I would say that Vladimir Putin probably sees Donald Trump as a positive phenomenon in a sense that the way different world leaders interact, really they interact through foreign policy. Donald Trump does not seem to be an ideological person, someone who would want to spread democracy, to overthrow dictators, spread the American truth, justice and American way to the world, particularly the Muslim world. He doesn’t seem to operate on this ideological basis. He seems to operate on the idea of “there’re other powers, we are going to have to get along with them, we are going to have to deal with them.” I think Trump would probably be sympathetic, I actually know he would be sympathetic because he is set so exclusively towards many of Putin’s and Russia’s actions against ISIS. I don’t think Trump exclusively says that he does not want to simply overthrow Assad in Syria as some gesture towards the wonderful nest of democracy. Trump would be - whatever you might think about Trump, you think he is bombastic, he is vulgar, I get it, he is kind of this - but if you actually look at his statements carefully, I think he would be a much more realistic actor in foreign affairs. And I think he would be a much more peaceful actor in foreign affairs. Believe it or not.

RT: Putin praised Trump's desire to "move to a different level of relations, to more solid, deeper relations with Russia.” How can he be criticized for that?

RS: This is another thing where the American media doesn’t really understand Putin. Because Putin is not a shrill ideologue like they are. Putin will speak diplomatically, will speak carefully and they just don’t get that. I think what Putin is saying when he says that Trump might deepen relations is that Trump is not going to treat Russia as an enemy. Remember, Mitt Romney who wasn’t even the craziest of the conservative bunch said that our number one geopolitical adversary is Russia. That is ridiculous. Anyone who would say that is not looking at the world as it is; they are looking at the world through some 1980’s Cold War rosy glasses. Trump, I think, would really deepen the relations in a sense he wouldn’t treat Russia as the Soviet Union or as Nazi Germany or some rogue state. He would treat Russia realistically as a state that has its interests, that has interests that might align with the US in certain situations and I think he would treat that where conflicts would be Trump would make a deal. He would deal with Russia as a real, legitimate actor of a legitimate state. So, in that sense, I truly do hope Trump gets elected. I think the world would be a more peaceful place with this bombastic man in power.

RT: What significance is the media reading into Putin's remarks? Are these fair enough assumptions or are they reading too much into it?

RS: They are not reading his remarks at all. They are basically spinning his remarks ... So; again Putin said some reasonable diplomatic things about Donald Trump. He said things that I don’t anyone could really objectively disagree with…

The MSM, as usual, totally misses the fact that most middle American's can identify with Putin, he's a hunter, a man, and someone who does what he says he's going to do, unlike the lying liars we have in office now. So they think they are going to sink Trump by linking him to Putin when in fact they are just cementing his favored status with the silent, taxpaying, pissed off, formerly free, American by their parents or older generations, class.

Wish I could believe it, but who could have believe they would have been able to keep 9/11's coverup going this long, given the just amazing amount of indisputable, scientific and engineering analysis?

The Israeli-Neocons have to keep the coup going, or they hang and Israel will fold, certainly will never become a Greater Israel.

That requires a Stalinist state : nothing else would make them safe.  So civil strife sufficient to cause martial law to be instituted might work, but that also wakes up all the people currently straddlingf the fence, isn't short and sharp enough to dominate the news with one opinion.

Remember how many interpretations of 9/11 said 'just like a controlled demolition' before the man on the street put MSM on the correct understanding?  Civil strive is too dispersed for that to be possible.

So the requirements are :

0) Big, great fear and great sorrow.

1) controllable flow of information into the media and little independent sources possible so as to prohibit bloggerdom from meaningful critiques.

2) Confusing, the more the better.  Confusing as to the possible sources of the event, confusing about the method, etc.

3) Continuing big drama and big problems to focus the news.

An event meething those requirements could drive the news for enough cycles to firmly implant the proper understanding of the conflict.  9/11 shows that once they get it past MSM, they are home free.

I think a nuclear attack on a 3rd country's city meeths the requirements.  A city the world loves and one a plausible ISIS hatred can be composed for.  A city neither the US nor Israel care about. On the coast, so they can put the bomb in a ship. Non-english speaking.  3rd world, so fewer sources of information to 1st world.

Evil bastards.  Of course they will do another FF, they don't have any choices.

About a week ago Trump called out Israel and the Saudis for funding ISIS, on a radio interview.  Same day the media jumped on his "bar muslims" comments.  Funny they chose that one to run with.  eg  http://republicbroadcasting.org/news/yes-donald-trump-called-out-israel-...

Interesting thing was, given this thread, it was on the Morning Joe show.

Deafening silence from the MSM.  And the blogosphere too, for that matter.

Seems to me, Trump just got credible.

The other day Cameron said something intended to slam Trump as much as possible.  I think it was something like "Everybody in England hates you".  What a great endorsement for Trump because when a Neocon asshole like Cameron says something like that, we know with certainty that the NWO crowd doesn't want Trump in power.  And that would mean that Trump is doing everything that's bad for the elites, and therefore probably good for America.

And now Putin adds his endorsement, which Americans should embrace because Putin and Trump would definitely get along.  The odds of WW3 would be pretty slim in a scenario like that.  For these reasons I worry for Trump's life.  I really do because those mofos will stop at nothing to get their way in their decades-long quest to fuck the world up as much as possible.

That's a valid concern me thinks, he crosses the paths of too many powerful groups who back and depend on Obama or his equal replacement along what seems as unstoppable ride towards his presidency. the competitive nature of man is to seek weaknesses .. we should judge folks in their aggregate of their "character" just as MLK preached. It's the best we can ever hope to do.

True we are all sinners but not all men are sadistic boy rapers.  Sorry but I will continue to judge them.  It's not "the nature of man" that rapes children it's the nature of beasts.  My skeletons in the closet would probably be being a drunk when I was younger, some drug use, bullying a few kids, being greedy, having too much sex and lying here and there.

I would never make a child suffer like for my enjoyment and neither would the vast majority here, it isn't about competition, we are inherently different than the psychopath.

The Donald and Vlad the Bear, Donald is no Vlad but the best America has running...

Why So Much Jewish Fear and Loathing of Donald Trump? Professor Kevin MacDonald October 29, 2015

Trump’s statement on Muslim exclusion Professor Kevin MacDonald

It’s no surprise that a wide range of Jewish groups , including the Israel Policy Forum (which oddly doesn’t recommend Muslim immigration to Israel), were outraged:

“A plan that singles out Muslims and denies them entry to the U.S. based on their religion is deeply offensive and runs contrary to our nation’s deepest values,” the Anti-Defamation League said in a statement Monday evening hours after Trump, a real estate billionaire and reality TV star, issued his call.

“In the Jewish community, we know all too well what can happen when a particular religious group is singled out for stereotyping and scapegoating,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL’s CEO. “We also know that this country must not give into fear by turning its back on its fundamental values, even at a time of great crisis.”

It’s interesting that quite a bit of the motivation for the 1924 immigration cutoff was because of the common perception (and reality) that Jewish immigrants in particular were sympathetic to communism and the far left — attitudes that were entirely mainstream in the Jewish community of the era, at a time when Bolshevik brutality was on the minds of informed people throughout the West, and when Jewish organizations had their hands full trying to counter the image of the Jewish radical.

The 1924 law, of course, did not specify Jewish groups, but called for an immigration moratorium in general. So if singling out a group offends people’s “basic values” — even if singling them out is entirely rational — perhaps a more palatable idea would be to cut off immigration completely. Pretty obviously, US immigration policy has nothing to do with economic needs (for one thing, it never slowed down at all during the recent recession), but is rather intended to increase non-Whites at the expense of the White population. But of course, Jewish groups would be even more outraged at cutting off immigration completely.

Make no mistake about it, if Trump is nominated, there will be an unprecedented bombardment of propaganda against him that will make the 1964 anti-Goldwater campaign look tame by comparison. But, given the steadily falling White percentage of the electorate (definitely a design feature of the current policy), this may be the last chance for Whites to elect a president who represents their interests. I suspect that quite a bit of the Republican Jewish Coalition money will actively support Hillary, and others will sit on their hands. Not only are Trump’s declarations on immigration and refugees anathema to them, he has not toed the neocon lines on Syria, the Iraq war, or Putin. His speech at the recent RJC forum (where he also deviated from Israel Lobby positions on Israel’s supposed commitment to peace with the Palestinians and placing Israel’s capital in Jerusalem) was basically a statement to the effect that “I don’t need your money; I am way ahead in the polls, so get used to it.” To put it mildly, the RJC is not used to such chutzpah. The unprincipled Marco Rubio, who will do anything for their money, is much more acceptable.

Trump is calling into question the entire worldview that pervades our hostile elites. And that is unforgivable.
