Police Whisper Into Protesters’ Ear: “Keep On Protesting”

George Washington's picture

Former New York Times reporter Chris Hedges has previously noted that oppressive regimes fall when their soldiers stop obeying orders and start following the will of the people.

Hedges gave an example from the U.S.  In 2010, Hedges, Daniel Ellsberg and 131 veterans were arrested for holding an anti-war protest in front of the White House.

Everyone was arrested, their wrists tied with plastic restraints, and hauled off to jail.  So – on the surface – it looked like the police unquestioningly cracked down on the protest.

But Hedges says (in a speech broadcast on public radio station last week) that – as their wrists were being tied – the police officer whispered in the protesters ears:

“Keep protesting.  Keep doing what you’re doing, because these wars stink.”

Hedges later explained that the police were vets, too.  And they knew recent American wars have been fought for oil and geopolitical power … not to protect America.

Postscript: American military heroes have also blown the whistle on things which could have led to nuclear war.

And Pulitzer prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh claims that top-level U.S. military officials are disregarding Obama’s dangerous orders to oust Syria’s Assad.

No wonder veterans are considered terrorists by the USG.

http://yournewswire.com/donald-trump-removed-from-gop-primary-ballot-in-...

From WMUR:

A former chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party says Donald Trump should not be on the Republican presidential primary ballot on Feb. 9 because the GOP frontrunner has not proven he is a registered Republican and has expressed views “inconsistent” with the state and national party’s platform and by laws.

Fergus Cullen, who chaired the NHGOP in 2007 and 2008, filed a complaint on Monday with the state Ballot Law Commission, which will take up the matter, along with three other complaints focused on other candidates, beginning Tuesday morning.

According to the Christian Times Newspaper’s sources in Iowa, election officials moved to strike Trump’s name from the Hawkeye State’s ballot after his most recent comments about Hillary Clinton at last Saturday night’s Democratic debate.

“Precedent has shown that we can remove non-Republicans from the ballot if we feel that he or she is not best representing the party,” the source told us.  “Donald Trump is not a Republican, and he certainly is not best representing the party, so it is time for the party to act.”

It is unclear whether Trump’s removal from these ballots is motivated by the Republican National Committee in D.C, who would much rather see Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio receive the nomination, but the fact that Trump was removed from these ballots in the SAME DAY speaks volumes.

Christian Times Newspaper is told that the Trump campaign should be launching a legal defense to reinstate his name on the ballot.

I was on a flight some months ago and started chatting with a nice lady and some how the iraq war came up and she started spouting about how proud she was of her young son who had recently returned from serving. And i had to explain to her that i thought the war was causing more suffering than we acknoledge even among the us veterans. And she slowly broke down and confessed that her son was no longer the kind boy who had left and was overwelmed by random violent thoughts and impulses. Then she was crying softly.

Though the times did an article recently about the poor treatment the vets receive and some of the psych problems they suffer and the elevated suicide rate they just do it from the angle of faulting the VA. They dont acknowledge the massive human suffer that these private wars are causing even for us military (for those of you "christians" who are unmoved by the dislocation and deaths of tens of thousands of civilians caused by these wars).

How can the media be so universally absent on this issue.

Think of those people at this Christmas time and do the right thing!

I am sure the USG has me on their terrorists list. I used an M-14, AR-15 and other firearms to defend the country in ‘nam. Given that there is no reason I can’t use the AR-15 and M1A to defend my home from attacking illegal’s, fanatic Middle East transplants, druggies and petty break-in crooks. And I even gave in some on the firearms issue. I told them they could ban the M-60 for home use if they wanted to.  See… vets are reasonable. Mollon Labe…

First off there is on longer an American Constitution. It was suspended in whole or in part on 9/11/2001 under the Continuity of Government Act declared and renewed every six months since then when Cheney invoked the act on the morning of 9/11/2001. Congress has asked repeatedly over the years what the legal standing of the constitution was/is and has never received a reply. Second the cops are paid to keep the law and can use whatever force is required to enforce the law under any particular circumstance. Over use of force by the police is also deemed criminal if it can be proved. The abolition of Posse Comitatus is most likely due to the fact the power elites don't trust the police to protect them should life become shall we say difficult. Therefore the P.E. want to be able to use the armed forces to keep order from descending into chaos. As for individual cops, everyone I have ever known on a personal basis were bully boy types with the exception of only one and he had to get out.

This is why I'd love to see a legit secession movement for a White-only state.  Unfortunately, I think it would be a sausage fest because most women of White heritage have been brow-beaten with feminism and multi-culturalism for so long that they would find it distasteful.  I'd upvote again if I could.

Amnesty: Russian bombing of Syria may be a war crime

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-russia-syria-idUSKBN0U6...

Russia's bombing of Syria may amount to a war crime because of the number of civilians its strikes have killed, Amnesty International said on Wednesday, presenting what it said was evidence that the air raids had violated humanitarian law.

"Russian air strikes in Syria have killed hundreds of civilians and caused massive destruction in residential areas, striking homes, a mosque and a busy market, as well as medical facilities, in...attacks that show evidence of violations of international humanitarian law," Amnesty said in a new report...

A bit more here from 2009:

http://m.cnsnews.com/news/article/clinton-foundation-received-20-65-mill...

The largest foreign-government donor was Saudi Arabia, which gave between $10-25 million. The foundation did not reveal specific amounts, only ranges for the donations.

Other foreign governments giving to the Clinton Foundation include Norway (at $5-10 million) and Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Brunei (all at $1-5 million each.) Jamaica and Italy’s Ministry for Environment and Territory each gave $50,000 to $100,000 in donations.Taiwan’s Economic and Cultural Office gave between $1-5 million. The U.S. does not have formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan so the Economic and Cultural Office serves as the de facto embassy.

AUSAID, the Australian government’s international aid program, gave Clinton between $10-25 million, as did COPRESIDA-Secretariado Tecnico, the Dominican Republic’s anti-AIDS agency.

One of two contributors giving more than $25 million was UNITAID, an international partnership between the governments of Brazil, Britain, France, Chile, and Norway that buys AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis drugs.  UNITAID, according to its Web site, is funded entirely through taxes on airline tickets bought in the five countries.

Besides governments, there were other major donors to the foundation with foreign ties. The Dutch National Lottery Fund, a frequent contributor to Oxfam and Amnesty International, gave Clinton between $5-10 million.

The Dubai Foundation -- established by the Sultan of Dubai -- and the Friends of Saudi Arabia both gave between $ 1-5 million.

Some large individual donors also had foreign ties.

-- Sheikh Mohammed H. Al-Amoudi, a Saudi oil tycoon, gave between $1-5 million.

-- Issam Fares, a former deputy prime minister of Lebanon in the pro-Syria government of Prime Minister Omar Karami gave between $1-5 million.

-- Saudi billionaire Nasser Al-Rashid gave $1-5 million. Rashid owns The Lady Moura,  the 11th largest yacht in the world and is the founder of Rashid Engineering.

-- Amar Singh, an influential member of the Indian parliament whose party supported the Indian government’s push for a nuclear deal with the U.S., gave between $1-5 million to the Clinton Foundation.

-- Harold Snyder, who gave $1-5 million, is the director of Teva Pharmaceutical, Israel’s largest drug company.

-- Victor Pinchuk, the son-in-law of former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma and one of the world’s richest men, gave the Clinton Foundation $1-5 million.

Also giving between $1-5 million: Indian business tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, who was theFinancial Times’ “2006 Person of the Year” and is head of ArcelorMittal -- the world’s largest steel producer.

The list, which accounts for $492 million in contributions from 205,000 donors, did not say when during the last decade the amounts were given, nor did it give any information about the donors other than their names and range of their donations.
