Yeah, I tend to agree. Morally and ethically I don't see anything different happening here than, well, any other time through the entire human history. The US is certainly no shining light...but then nor is any other country. That's simply part of the human condition.

Gold continues downtrend, lost another 10%.

They gotta vote. The Dems Piglosi and Reed and Barry for that matter, have sghown Senoirs don't matter to them. The Dems rely on the 95 million FSA and illegals. What use are seniors to them? Dems cant send them over to the ME as cannon fodder and the oldies don't consume/spend much. That's why Obamacare non-insurance is indirectly a death sentence for our Seniors.
They need to vote to be heard and not quietly sent off to the death panels by Piglosi and Reed and their ilk.
I'd say voting isn't working and soon you will see folks become....creative.
When a cancer fails to succumb to treatment, you must remove the metasticized tissue. How that's done is anyone's guess. The problem is that all of the possibilities are tumultuous.
Edit: tarabel posits that the voting process will be sufficient. With companies like Diebold and hanging Chads I'd say those that count the votes will make it look plausible but secretly hide a desired outcome.
Some other ways people may become creative.
1) States fight back and tell the gov where to go and how to get there.
2) impeachment
3) third party and general boycott of voting
4) boycott of taxes
5) rebellion

If it was done on a large enough scale there wouldn't be anybody left to inforce their stupid rules and regulations.
Anarchy is a solution. Stop trying to fix an inherently flawed system, contrary to popular belief, as a result of mass hypnosis and mind control, human beings were designed to be self-governing.
Every government is corrupt, because it is their nature. Power corrupts.
Simply eliminate the entire concept!

Abolish the Federal Gov't and replace it with a very small gov't that is limited. (Yes, I know a Pipe Dream) and change voting so only those that pay taxes get to vote (to eliminate the FSA as a voting block)

Not any more, its morphed into a tool to empower nut jobs running the gov't and to take money and resources from the productive part of society and hand it over to the do-nothing (aka The FSA). At this point we only get to choose which tyrant gets to to enslave us. The majority of voters are do-nothing, no-nothings voters that have a tension span shorter than a flea.

Strange year indeed. I just talked to an old union guy in Indiana (he has probably spent half his life union) and he said that everybody he works with is talking about voting for Trump and they no longer give a shit what the union wants them to do. I asked why and he said that they figure they are completely screwed anyway and that if they don't get the border closed and taxes down they are done for.
Apparently pigs do occasionally fly. Didn't bother to tell him that he wont be seeing his pension. There will be hell to pay when that day comes. Whether one respects unions or not those guys will do something when TSHTF and their pensions evaporate, shit will get quite real.
