What If Jesus Had Been Born 2,000 Years Later In The American Police State?

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by John Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,

“Two thousand years later … the memory of the revolutionary zealot who walked across Galilee gathering an army of disciples with the goal of establishing the Kingdom of God on earth, the magnetic preacher who defied the authority of the Temple priesthood in Jerusalem, the radical Jewish nationalist who challenged the Roman occupation and lost, has been almost completely lost to history.” ? Reza Aslan, religious scholar

The Christmas narrative of a baby born in a manger is a familiar one.

The Roman Empire, a police state in its own right, had ordered that a census be conducted. Joseph and his pregnant wife Mary traveled to the little town of Bethlehem so that they could be counted. There being no room for the couple at any of the inns, they stayed in a stable, where Mary gave birth to a baby boy. That boy, Jesus, would grow up to undermine the political and religious establishment of his day and was eventually crucified as a warning to others not to challenge the powers-that-be.

But what if Jesus, the revered preacher, teacher, radical and prophet, had been born 2,000 years later? How would Jesus’ life have been different had he be born and raised in the American police state?

Consider the following if you will.

Had Jesus been born in the year 2015…

Rather than traveling to Bethlehem for a census, Jesus’ parents would have been mailed a 28-page American Community Survey, a mandatory government questionnaire documenting their habits, household inhabitants, work schedule, and even how many toilets were in their home, etc. The penalty for not responding to this invasive survey would have resulted in a fine of $5,000.

Instead of being born in a manger, Jesus might have been born at home. Rather than wise men and shepherds bringing gifts, however, the baby’s parents might have been forced to ward off visits from state social workers intent on prosecuting them for the home birth. One couple in Washington had all three of their children removed after social services objected to the two youngest being birthed in an unassisted home delivery.

Had Jesus been born in a hospital, his blood and DNA would have been taken and entered into a government biobank without his parents’ knowledge or consent. While most states require newborn screening, a growing number are indefinitely holding onto that genetic material long-term for research, analysis and purposes yet to be disclosed.

Then again, had his parents been undocumented immigrants, they and the newborn baby might have been shuffled to a profit-driven, private detention center for illegals. There’s quite a lot of money to be made from imprisoning immigrants, especially when taxpayers are footing the bill.

Once in school, Jesus would have been drilled in lessons of compliance and obedience to government authorities, all the while learning little about his own rights. And if he dared to challenge school officials, he might have found himself suspended under a school zero tolerance policy that punishes minor infractions (such as doodling or talking in class) as harshly as more serious offenses (such as bringing a weapon to class).

According to scripture, Jesus, at the age of twelve, wandered the temple courts in Jerusalem alone and unsupervised. Today, had Jesus disappeared for a few hours let alone days, his parents would have been handcuffed, arrested and jailed for parental negligence. Parents across the country have been arrested for far less “offenses” such as allowing their children to walk to the park unaccompanied and play in their front yard alone.

Rather than disappearing from the history books from his early teenaged years to adulthood, Jesus’ movements and personal data—including his biometrics—would have been documented, tracked, monitored and filed by governmental agencies and corporations such as Google and Microsoft. Incredibly, 95 percent of school districts share their student records with outside companies contracted to manage the data.

If Jesus were to ever make contact with the likes of John the Baptist, he would have been flagged for surveillance because of his association with a prominent activist, peaceful or otherwise. Since 9/11, the FBI has actively carried out surveillance and intelligence-gathering operations on a broad range of activist groups, from animal rights groups to poverty relief and anti-war organizations.

Rather than being permitted to live as an itinerant preacher, Jesus might have found himself threatened with arrest for daring to live off the grid or sleeping outside. In fact, the number of cities that have resorted to criminalizing homelessness by enacting bans on camping, sleeping in vehicles, loitering and begging in public has doubled in recent years.

Had his travels taken him from community to community, Jesus might have been reported to government officials as “suspicious” under the Department of Homeland Security’s “See Something, Say Something” programs. Many states, including New York, are providing individuals with phone apps that allow them to take photos of suspicious activity and report them to their state Intelligence Center, where they are reviewed and forwarded to law-enforcement agencies.

Perceived as a dissident and a potential threat to the government’s power, Jesus might have had government spies planted among his followers in order to monitor his activities, report on his movements, and entrap him into breaking the law.

Jesus’ anti-government views would certainly have resulted in him being labeled a domestic extremist. Law enforcement agencies are being trained to recognize signs of anti-government extremism during interactions with potential extremists who share a “belief in the approaching collapse of government and the economy.”

Assuming Jesus used the internet to spread his radical message of peace and love, he might have found his blog posts infiltrated by government spies attempting to undermine his integrity, discredit him or plant incriminating information online about him. At the very least, he would have had his website hacked and his email monitored.

Had Jesus attempted to feed large crowds of people, he would have been threatened with arrest for violating various ordinances prohibiting the distribution of food without a permit. Florida officials arrested a 90-year-old man for feeding the homeless on a public beach.

Had Jesus spoken publicly about his 40 days in the desert and his conversations with the devil, he might have been labeled mentally ill and detained in a psych ward against his will for a mandatory involuntary psychiatric hold with no access to family or friends. One Virginia man was arrested, strip searched, handcuffed to a table, diagnosed as having “mental health issues,” and locked up for five days in a mental health facility against his will apparently because of his slurred speech and unsteady gait.

Without a doubt, had Jesus attempted to overturn tables in a Jewish temple and raged against the materialism of religious institutions, he would have been charged with a hate crime. Currently, 45 states and the federal government have hate crime laws on the books.

Rather than having armed guards capture Jesus in a public place, government officials would have ordered that a SWAT team carry out a raid on Jesus and his followers, complete with flash-bang grenades and military equipment. There are upwards of 80,000 such SWAT team raids carried out every year, many on unsuspecting Americans who have no defense against such government invaders, even when such raids are done in error.

Instead of being detained by Roman guards, Jesus might have been made to “disappear” into a secret government detention center where he would have been interrogated, tortured and subjected to all manner of abuses. Chicago police “disappeared” more than 7,000 people into a secret, off-the-books interrogation warehouse at Homan Square.

Charged with treason and labeled a domestic terrorist, Jesus might have been sentenced to a life-term in a private prison where he would have been forced to provide slave labor for corporations or put to death by way of the electric chair or a lethal mixture of drugs.

Either way, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, whether Jesus had been born in our modern age or his own, he still would have died at the hands of a police state.

They would be in trouble, because they have stolen his teachings to lure people into satanism.

They can't lure anyone without using his teachings, nobody would join the cancer.

It looks and sounds very similar with one big exception, absent is the love for all of creation.

But since people are losing the whole mind and becoming robots, they wouldn't even notice him.

Religion is the original escape from domination by other people who like to think they are God.  If I ought to obey God rather than men there is opportunity to stand against such oppression.

Here's a related question:  Is religion the "cause of all the wars" or does mankind just love to fight, so even when obviously wrong by initiating force against others, he claims Almighty Justification?

There is far more faith and far less evidence to support the notion that man evolved from apes than just about any other religion.  There is zero evidence supporting the theory of evolution.

"far less evidence"....pfff. yeah, right...It certainly takes "faith" to look at all the ape skeletens, 100's, millions, of years old and see any resemblance to ourselves....but not ANYWHRE NEAR as much "faith as is required to "believe" a magic man in the sky just dropped us here out of nothing.

Please provide the evidence supporting evolution.  (Hint: there is none).

While you're at it, please explain the origins of the eye, a single proven example of a new species evolving from another, and the answer to irreducible complexity.

Since the scientific world has not been able to do so in all of its existence, I doubt you will.

Waiting...

And once you've concluded that you cannot evidence evolution (which may take you a long time if you are a militant atheist), ask yourself why you believe it.

Ok fucknuts, you want proof? Well, I have no 'proof'. Where's your 'proof'? Yeah right, the Bible.

If that's all you've got as 'proof', then you've got jack shit nothing also.

That's the whole point, I can look at either one, and anything else, and say 'interesting'...and accept that all have merits... but your dumbshit ass can't believe anything that isn't in 'The Bible'.

Want to SEE forced evolution MORON?

Google 'genetically modified bacteria'... bam, there it is..slight change in the genetic code, DRAMATIC change in the creature produced... if it can happen that FAST, why can't happen more slowly?... yeah, yeah, I know, because it doesn't say so In the Bible.

Sun, 12/27/2015 - 09:15 | 6966793 mayhem_korner

New strain of bacteria is NOT a new species.  That's the typical first failed argument of evolutionists.  Remember, the theory is that SPECIES evolve from one another, not that mutations and new strains do.  0 for 1; try again.

You are also trying to make this a "this or that" debate.  In your mind, if evolution is true, then God doesn't exist (that's actually the objective of the theory, btw).  I just challenged you to show proof of your theory, and you can't help yourself but to attack the Bible.  We can discuss the merits of the Bible separately, but let's just keep it focused on why you believe evolution is supported by evidence.

Deny, deny, deny.

Not a "new species" moron...just  an example of how a change in the DNA results in a change of the animal.

You REAAALLY be-LIE-ve that over MILLIONS, 100's of MILLIONS of years, that all living creatures DNA remains EXACTLY the same?

Oh wait, the earth is only 4000 years old or whatever...never mind, yes, the Magix man in the sky put us here...feel better.

PS. Try again with your evidence too..."The Bible" isn't 'proof' of anything...except mans sadistic lust to control other men.

You are making my point.  You can't help yourself but to bring the Bible into the discussion about evolution.  I can't think of another scientific theory that relies so much on disproving an alternative, rather than just testing the affirmative case.   So back to the point.  The theory of evolution is that SPECIES evolved from one another (you might clue into this by the fact that your god Charles Darwin's book is entitled The Origin of Species).  DNA mutations happen all the time.  On this point there is no disagreement.  But new SPECIES do not result.  And - as Darwin provided for - if the theory doesn't hold up to science, then it should be abandoned for an alternative. So, set aside for a moment any notion of creation and what the Bible does or doesn't say, and tell us what the evidence is of one (new) species evolving from another?  Make the affirmative case for evolution, instead of the negative case against an alternative. Take your time.  And perhaps read a bit before you get back to us.

I think anyone who supposedly "hears" god is honestly mentally deficient. Everyone invents their own god, even as christians.  That's the whole "personal jesus" thing in my opinion. I think of it as like a multiple personality type disorder and it really worries me when people go on about that.

Religion is not the cause of war, it's just a really great tool to rally the ignorant masses.  If your mind were a computer, religion would be the buggy, piece of shit OS (think Windows ME) chock full of security vulnerabilities and malfunction.

The original way to control the masses was to brutalize and kill them. The problem though is you can't enslave dead people and the remaining living hate your fucken guts; so it's difficult to rule over them and enrich yourself.

In walks 'the magic man in the sky'... and the only way you can serve him is by serving me, because I'm closer to him than you are, it's says so right here in this book God gave me, that you can't read... and if you take a shortcut to escape your miserable life serving me (suicide) then you'll go to Hell... now let me Tel you Al about Hell.

>>>Religion is the original way they used to control the masses

There is indeed a subset of human beings who need no external control but, frankly, they are not a majority.

For the remainder of "the masses", you're pretty much left with the State's laws, or moral rules delivered through peer pressure.  A (light-handed) religious pressure seems to me to be preferable to the State-as-God-and-Father-Mother, which seems to be the current alternative on offer.  Obviously, religion can be used oppressively, and not just by Salafist fanatics.

Furthermore, I think he would take great offense at being labeled Jew.  Just my $.02.

Jewish scholars don't deny Jesus was a Jew born from the lineage of Abraham.  He was of Jewish descent, but with non-Jewish blood (see Ruth).  Maybe READ what is in the Bible (don't worry - you can still challenge it!)

And just to link the whole Jew-Christian thing together, the following are all in the Old Testament:

  • Born of a virgin, in Bethlehem
  • Son of God
  • Prophet, King, and Priest (in the order of Melchizedek, who preceded the Levite priests)
  • Visited by Kings from the east
  • From the line of Shem, Abraham, Jacob, Judah, Jesse, and David
  • Escaped to Egypt
  • Preceded by John the Baptist
  • Ministers first in Galilee
  • Healed the sick, gave sight to the blind
  • Betrayed by a friend, with whom he broke bread, for 30 pieces of silver
  • Did not open his mouth during trial
  • Refused bitter wine when offered
  • Crucified by piercing hands and feet
  • Did not have any bones broken
  • Defeats the devil
  • Soldiers would cast lots for his clothing
  • Fulfilled the Law by taking on the iniquities of the whole world
  • Buried in a tomb with the rich
  • Resurrected and ascended to Heaven
  • Will return, and His Kingdom will have no end

God comes back from his fishing holiday to find that since he's been gone (a few days in Heaven but centuries on Earth) things have gone badly. Looking at what he's missed, He particularly doesn't like the 20th century. God makes up his mind to send Jesus back down to Earth to remind everyone of his one and only rule - "Be Nice" - a rule that Moses decided to ignore and come up with 10 of his own.

Down on Earth, Jesus is 31 years old, in a band, something of a stoner, and being nice to everyone. And then one day "American Pop Star" starts looking for new contestants and Jesus decides to audition. What better way to tell people to "Be Nice" than on the platform of the biggest show on television? After getting accepted, there's a road trip to LA, the rise of Jesus as a music phenomenon, and the inevitable ending...

They would be looking down their noses at him.

Because he spoke an inconvenient truth.   Love and forgiveness are the direct opposite of control and 'nuke' em idealogies.

Jesus is not a good poster child for .gov.

For example those two stupid islands in the South China Sea.  Jesus would have given them to the Chinese and the Chinese would not know how to deal with generosity.  That would be a good example.  But the Japanese will probably start a war over some dirt no one wanted till the Chinese admitted a desire for them.

We could try some of Jesus teachings in real life today from the top down to see if it works.  I did and can say on a personal note it does work but forgiving others  does not always come easy, but is worth it especially knowing that I required it as angel I be not.

Who said Christians claim Rome was a police state? Just because the author said so, doesn't mean anything.

Jesus faced existential threats from Herod as a baby, and then the Jewish Pharisees as an adult. Rome was a non-factor. Jesus was crucified under the authority of Pontius Pilate, but only because the Pharisees put him up to it.

It's ok to not believe in Christianity or God, but if Jesus was the son of God like he claimed, it's clearly not beyond God's technical capability to conceive a child without sex.

Also the author he quotes at the beginning is mistaken when he says that Jesus came to setup a kingdom on earth.  His goal was to teach, prophecize, and eventually be crucified.

Ugh. Your ignorance is depressing. Jesus didn't have a problem with money changers per se; rather, he had a problem with the fact that they set up shop inside the temple itself. They had been given an exclusive concession, such that both they and the temple elders profited at the expense of the worshippers, who were required to use them in order to make their donations and sacrifices. Kind of like how you are not allowed to bring beer into Yankee stadium, so you are forced to pay $12 per beer inside.

12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the chairs of them that sold doves:
13 And he saith to them: It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves.

Well, asuming he was a he this time, (many Christed beings in history and all ya know,) He would prolly be really angry, disgusted, and right on in here where the rest of the worlds real people seem to congregate doing as usual, minestering to those with eyes to see, and ears to hear, who have fallen off the natural track of how and who a soul grows up to be in this natural earthly Kingdom....maybe.

All souls grow or not according to the environment and stimui they receive in a lifetime. Is it a good raising, or an evil one?

One darn thing is for sure, when or if there were such a human being in this Time, He ain't gonna be no pussy when it comes to whippin the friggin evil money changers out of the babylonian govts, churches, Israel, wall street, MIC, and the halls of humankind leadership. Out with ALL the evil bad souls, and in with all the righteous souls from around the world...each country and human being keeping two things and adhering to two things. Keeping their free-will-choice and individuality, and daily adhering to the two basic Principles of ALL Religions.: Love thy God, and Love thyself. Easy peasy!

More Christmas blessings and may Love fill ALL your hearts, as well as ALL those around you that You actually care about. It is OK to Love thy neighbor, as you love thyself.

You know, it doesn't really matter much what would have happened if he had of been born in America today. What Jesus comes down to, like all the prophets (except Mohammed) is an idea, a faith, that one needs to hold fast to what is right even in the face of your own destruction, which is not an easy thing to even consider, let alone do. We are wired to survive, even in extremely degrading and brutal conditions, the hope is always there that somehow, you will get out, things will get better.

Reading ZH yesterday they presented a declassified document about the SAC plans for a nuclear war back in the late 50's. They had 1,100 targets lined up, including Moscow and Bejing. Now despite that insanity, somehow we made it through, thanks mainly to heros like Jack Kennedy and others who were prepared to go to the wall for their beliefs and stop the crazies.

In an 'us vs them' scenario, I know where I would be, regardless of my age. My only hope would be that if I was going to die, that it come quickly. If needs be I hope I always maintain the courage of my convictions. And I hope you do to.

The world is the House of God, the House of Prayer, the House of Love. The evil money changers, aka banksters in a more modern terminology, have set up shop world-wide and therefore, have converted the entire world into a den of thieves, and murders.

The sad darn truth is, it is what it is and will not change as long as mankind holds up higher in value the money-god, rather than the fine and long well established tenants of Love (God). Until Love holds more value than the money-god, not much will change.

Plants the seeds of change, and they will grow.

Banning a specific group of people from financial industry is the right thing to do and we have been attempting to do this for centuries.  Why?  Because they cheat.  Gaining great wealth from simply cornering the industry, holding, dispersing and exchanging money is highway robbery.  Banking does not require a genius to pull off but it does require honesty.  And honesty is missing, essentially obsolete in this special group of chosen people.   Destroying the competition rather than provide a better product is their Mode of Operation, and they are willing to do whatever is required to destroy their competition.

The deicide-deniers would kill Him again.

Yes, Virginia, the Jews Stole Christmas Kevin MacDonald PhD
Originally posted in 2012, this article gets at the Jewish ethnic angle behind the “War on Christmas.”

There seem to be two messages here. One is the message of subversion utilizing ridicule among other methods. The other is that Jews are seen as high-mindedly making Christmas “into a holiday season belonging to all Americans.” The end result is that Christmas is not “taken too seriously” and the Christian religious aspect central to the traditional holiday is de-emphasized.

People who take their religion seriously do not allow their religion to be ridiculed. One need only think of the Muslim reactions to cartoons ridiculing Mohammed. The fact that Jews have been able to ridicule Christianity without any serious negative consequences is an important marker of Jewish power and an equally strong indication of the decline of Christian religious belief. I suspect that the organized Jewish community would react in outrage if non-Jews ridiculed religious Judaism. Indeed, any criticism of Jews as Jews is off limits in the mainstream media. (A topical short list of verboten topics: the loyalties of neocon Jews and their role in promoting the war in Iraq, the Jewish aspect of the Ivy League admissions scandal, how Jewish control of Hollywood influences media content.)

It bears repeating once again that Jews react with hostility to the idea that Israel should not have a Jewish ethnocultural core while they have led the campaign against the idea that America and the West have any ethnocultural core. As with their promoting non-White, non-Christian immigration, their advocacy has nothing to do with ideals of moral universalism but everything to do with pursuing what’s good for the Jews, motivated by Jewish hatreds toward the traditional people and cultures of the West. The war on Christmas is thus a central example of the theme of Jews as a hostile elite.

Merry Christmas . . . NOT! Part 1 by Edmund Connelly

Merry Christmas Movies . . . NOT! Part 2 — Anti-Christmas Movies

Why does it matter that Jews control Hollywood? In essence, it matters because it represents the loss of power of one group—majority white Christians—to a group with a long history of hostility toward the people and culture of the West. Jewish control of Hollywood has been a crucial means for dispossessing majority whites from their place in the country they built. As some have argued, the twentieth century was “a Jewish century,” and much of this was because Jews controlled the image factory known as Hollywood.

You'd think all these men who claim to be "free" would throw off the shackles of religion. Go figure.

Funny how much better things have gotten since the secular humanists started running everything everywhere.

I never said things would be or are better under secularists. Infact that has nothing to do with what I said. Nice try though.

Don't get me wrong but...
If he'd come today he could have reached a whole nation.
Israel in 4 BC had no mass communication.

jesus is a jew   fact

he claimed to be the messiah and was followed by some other jews

the chritian movement was a jewish sect

then the europeans stole the idea of christianity and added their filthy nonsense into the bible and changed the names

jesus never fulfilled the criteria to become a messiah according to the bible

the christian movement is therefore not valid

further we can see that there are christian sects spreading like grass

polak catolics, roman catolics, russian nonsense orhtodox church (which is copied from islam), german homosxual lutheranism, negro disco gospel, jehovah witnesses with one god insted on 3 in 1 god

if jesus would be born today he would be a mexican, because all mexicans are jesus now. and  he would end up in a local clinic for the mental advanced ones.

the worst of the christian movement was, that it was spreading because it is addicting. so the filthy arabs saw the threath from christianity and created islam

now we have to deal with flith muslims and christians are partly fault and responsible for existence of filthy islam

if you are christian you have already forgiven me for what im saying but you have to take responsibility and kill the muslims

the greatest threat to christianity today are muslims

That is a Hollyweird, City of London Zionist version of the tale.

The New Testament rejected the old testament.

Your problem is that you have no respect for Protestants, the new Testament, the founding of the USA which has been hijacked since JFK was killed by moneychangers and oil men, the coup d'etat.

Don't get angry. Get ready. Get your affairs in order.

The USA will keep the Constitution and the guns. That troubles you, doesn't it. Good.

its not about respect

if christianity would be something good i would be the first one who would promote it

and nice you try to add the founding fathers of usa to make me look bad

it only shows your mischief, as a christian you would already failing to be selected for paradise

i have great respect for free speech, free markets and trade and the permission to own a gun

+1 for the last two paragraphs.

Not on the reservation with you for the rest of it. But everybody has their own viewpoint of how we got into this mess.
