What If Jesus Had Been Born 2,000 Years Later In The American Police State?

The Christmas narrative of a baby born in a manger is a familiar one.
The Roman Empire, a police state in its own right, had ordered that a census be conducted. Joseph and his pregnant wife Mary traveled to the little town of Bethlehem so that they could be counted. There being no room for the couple at any of the inns, they stayed in a stable, where Mary gave birth to a baby boy. That boy, Jesus, would grow up to undermine the political and religious establishment of his day and was eventually crucified as a warning to others not to challenge the powers-that-be.
But what if Jesus, the revered preacher, teacher, radical and prophet, had been born 2,000 years later? How would Jesus’ life have been different had he be born and raised in the American police state?
Consider the following if you will.
Had Jesus been born in the year 2015…
Rather than traveling to Bethlehem for a census, Jesus’ parents would have been mailed a 28-page American Community Survey, a mandatory government questionnaire documenting their habits, household inhabitants, work schedule, and even how many toilets were in their home, etc. The penalty for not responding to this invasive survey would have resulted in a fine of $5,000.
Instead of being born in a manger, Jesus might have been born at home. Rather than wise men and shepherds bringing gifts, however, the baby’s parents might have been forced to ward off visits from state social workers intent on prosecuting them for the home birth. One couple in Washington had all three of their children removed after social services objected to the two youngest being birthed in an unassisted home delivery.
Had Jesus been born in a hospital, his blood and DNA would have been taken and entered into a government biobank without his parents’ knowledge or consent. While most states require newborn screening, a growing number are indefinitely holding onto that genetic material long-term for research, analysis and purposes yet to be disclosed.
Then again, had his parents been undocumented immigrants, they and the newborn baby might have been shuffled to a profit-driven, private detention center for illegals. There’s quite a lot of money to be made from imprisoning immigrants, especially when taxpayers are footing the bill.
Once in school, Jesus would have been drilled in lessons of compliance and obedience to government authorities, all the while learning little about his own rights. And if he dared to challenge school officials, he might have found himself suspended under a school zero tolerance policy that punishes minor infractions (such as doodling or talking in class) as harshly as more serious offenses (such as bringing a weapon to class).
According to scripture, Jesus, at the age of twelve, wandered the temple courts in Jerusalem alone and unsupervised. Today, had Jesus disappeared for a few hours let alone days, his parents would have been handcuffed, arrested and jailed for parental negligence. Parents across the country have been arrested for far less “offenses” such as allowing their children to walk to the park unaccompanied and play in their front yard alone.
Rather than disappearing from the history books from his early teenaged years to adulthood, Jesus’ movements and personal data—including his biometrics—would have been documented, tracked, monitored and filed by governmental agencies and corporations such as Google and Microsoft. Incredibly, 95 percent of school districts share their student records with outside companies contracted to manage the data.
If Jesus were to ever make contact with the likes of John the Baptist, he would have been flagged for surveillance because of his association with a prominent activist, peaceful or otherwise. Since 9/11, the FBI has actively carried out surveillance and intelligence-gathering operations on a broad range of activist groups, from animal rights groups to poverty relief and anti-war organizations.
Rather than being permitted to live as an itinerant preacher, Jesus might have found himself threatened with arrest for daring to live off the grid or sleeping outside. In fact, the number of cities that have resorted to criminalizing homelessness by enacting bans on camping, sleeping in vehicles, loitering and begging in public has doubled in recent years.
Had his travels taken him from community to community, Jesus might have been reported to government officials as “suspicious” under the Department of Homeland Security’s “See Something, Say Something” programs. Many states, including New York, are providing individuals with phone apps that allow them to take photos of suspicious activity and report them to their state Intelligence Center, where they are reviewed and forwarded to law-enforcement agencies.
Perceived as a dissident and a potential threat to the government’s power, Jesus might have had government spies planted among his followers in order to monitor his activities, report on his movements, and entrap him into breaking the law.
Jesus’ anti-government views would certainly have resulted in him being labeled a domestic extremist. Law enforcement agencies are being trained to recognize signs of anti-government extremism during interactions with potential extremists who share a “belief in the approaching collapse of government and the economy.”
Assuming Jesus used the internet to spread his radical message of peace and love, he might have found his blog posts infiltrated by government spies attempting to undermine his integrity, discredit him or plant incriminating information online about him. At the very least, he would have had his website hacked and his email monitored.
Had Jesus attempted to feed large crowds of people, he would have been threatened with arrest for violating various ordinances prohibiting the distribution of food without a permit. Florida officials arrested a 90-year-old man for feeding the homeless on a public beach.
Had Jesus spoken publicly about his 40 days in the desert and his conversations with the devil, he might have been labeled mentally ill and detained in a psych ward against his will for a mandatory involuntary psychiatric hold with no access to family or friends. One Virginia man was arrested, strip searched, handcuffed to a table, diagnosed as having “mental health issues,” and locked up for five days in a mental health facility against his will apparently because of his slurred speech and unsteady gait.
Without a doubt, had Jesus attempted to overturn tables in a Jewish temple and raged against the materialism of religious institutions, he would have been charged with a hate crime. Currently, 45 states and the federal government have hate crime laws on the books.
Rather than having armed guards capture Jesus in a public place, government officials would have ordered that a SWAT team carry out a raid on Jesus and his followers, complete with flash-bang grenades and military equipment. There are upwards of 80,000 such SWAT team raids carried out every year, many on unsuspecting Americans who have no defense against such government invaders, even when such raids are done in error.
Instead of being detained by Roman guards, Jesus might have been made to “disappear” into a secret government detention center where he would have been interrogated, tortured and subjected to all manner of abuses. Chicago police “disappeared” more than 7,000 people into a secret, off-the-books interrogation warehouse at Homan Square.
Charged with treason and labeled a domestic terrorist, Jesus might have been sentenced to a life-term in a private prison where he would have been forced to provide slave labor for corporations or put to death by way of the electric chair or a lethal mixture of drugs.
Either way, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, whether Jesus had been born in our modern age or his own, he still would have died at the hands of a police state.

This is one of things where all Hebrews are Jews but not all Jews are Hebrews.

Quite an interesting variant of classic European-style police state theory when you can pick up the phone and have 10,000 rounds of ammunition delivered to the door of your home. Only in America.
That we may have fallen far from where we used to be cannot be doubted but to suppose that we are a police state is really quite a stretch. There are many much more police state-y societies on earth today.
The only difference is that they have been police states for so long that their cowed and obedient populations have come to regard these institutions as simply the comfy, normal order of things rather than an oppressive aberration.
Keep a police state long enough and train up a generation or two of children in it and the mailed fist hardly ever needs to be seen. But it is still there.
No doubt there are many advocates and admirers of police states in America, both for purposes of ambition and of profit, but to suppose that we are a police state, or that we are the worst police state of all, is simply wrong.
The US government has certainly been subverted by the advocates of a universal police state but they are faced with the dispiriting task of disarming America while their fellow police staters worldwide stand impatiently checking their watch and tapping their foot at the cursed contrariness of those damnable rednecks.
Get out of the Europeanized proto-police state in the cities. You'll find America waiting for you just 30 miles away in any direction.

Jesus said his Kingdom is not of this world. He looked on all of us as his brother, all equal unto his sight, because being the Son of God, as we all are, we are all equal and One with the Father.
As Jesus has said, "let those who have ears listen and those who have eyes see..."
"For learning purposes, let us consider the crucifixion again. I did not dwell on it before because of the fearful connotations you may associate with it. The only emphasis laid upon it so far has been that it was not a form of punishment. Nothing, however, can be explained in negative terms only. There is a positive interpretation of the crucifixion that is wholly devoid of fear, and therefore wholly benign in what it teaches, if it is properly understood.

You have probably reacted for years as if you were being crucified. This is a marked tendency of the separated, who always refuse to consider what they have done to themselves. Projection means anger, anger fosters assault, and assault promotes fear. The real meaning of the crucifixion lies in the apparent intensity of the assault of some of the Sons of God upon another. This, of course, is impossible, and must be fully understood as impossible. Otherwise, I cannot serve as a model for learning.
Assault can ultimately be made only on the body. There is little doubt that one body can assault another, and can even destroy it. Yet if destruction itself is impossible, anything that is destructible cannot be real. Its destruction, therefore, does not justify anger. To the extent to which you believe that it does, you are accepting false premises and teaching them to others. The message the crucifixion was intended to teach was that it is not necessary to perceive any form of assault in persecution, because you cannot be persecuted. If you respond with anger, you must be equating yourself with the destructible, and are therefore regarding yourself insanely.
I have made it perfectly clear that I am like you. and you are like me, but our fundamental equality can be demonstrated only through joint decision. You are free to perceive yourself as persecuted if you choose. When you do choose to react that way, however, you might remember that I was persecuted as the world judges, and did not share this evaluation for myself. And because I did not share it, I did not strengthen it. I therefore offered a different interpretation of attack, and one which I want to share with you. If you will believe it, you will help me teach it.
As I have said before, 'As you teach so shall you learn'. If you react as if you are persecuted, you are teaching persecution, This is not a lesson a Son of God should want to teach if he is to realise his own salvation. Rather, teach your own perfect immunity, which is the truth in you, and realise that it cannot be assailed. Do not try to protect it yourself, or you are believing that it is assailable. You are not asked to be crucified, which was part of my own teaching contribution. You are merely asked to follow my example in the face of much less extreme temptations to misperceive, and not to accept them as false justifications for anger. There can be no justification for the unjustifiable. Do not believe there is, and do not teach that there is. Remember always that what you believe you will teach. Believe with me, and we will become equal as teachers.
Your resurrection is your reawakening. I am the model for rebirth, but rebirth itself is merely the dawning on your mind of what is already in it. God placed it there Himself, and so it is true forever. I believed in it, and therefore accepted it as true for me. Help me to teach it to our brothers in the name of the Kingdom of God, but first believe that it is true for you, or you will teach amiss. My brothers slept during the so-called 'agony in the garden', but I could not be angry with them because I knew I could not be abandoned.
I am sorry when my brothers do not share my decision to hear only one Voice, because it weakens them as teachers and as learners. Yet I know they cannot really betray themselves or me, and that it is still on them that I must build my church. There is no choice in this, because only you can be the foundation of God's church. A church is where an altar is, and the presence of the altar is what makes the church holy. A church that does not inspire love has a hidden altar that is not serving the purpose for which God intended it. I must found His church on you, because those who accept me as a model are literally my disciples. Disciples are followers, and if the model they follow has chosen to save them pain in all respects, they are unwise not to follow him.
I elected, for your sake and mine, to demonstrate that the most outrageous assault, as judged by the ego, does not matter. As the world judges these things, but not as God knows them, I was betrayed, abandoned, beaten, torn, and finally killed. It was clear that this was only because of the projection of others onto me, since I had not harmed anyone and had healed many.
We are still equal as learners, although we do not need to have equal experiences. The Holy Spirit is glad when you can learn from mine, and be reawakened by them. That is their only purpose, and that is the only way in which I can be perceived as the way, the truth and the life. When you hear only one Voice you are never called on to sacrifice. On the contrary, by being able to hear the Holy Spirit in others you can learn from their experiences, and can gain from them without experiencing them directly yourself. That is because the Holy Spirit is one, and anyone who listens is inevitably led to demonstrate His way for all.
You are not persecuted, nor was I. You are not asked to repeat my experiences because the Holy Spirit, Whom we share, makes this unnecessary. To use my experiences constructively, however, you must still follow my example in how to perceive them. My brothers and yours are constantly engaged in justifying the unjustifiable. My one lesson, which I must teach as I learned it, is that no perception that is out of accord with the judgement of the Holy Spirit can be justified. I undertook to show this was true in an extreme case, merely because it would serve as a good teaching aid to those whose temptation to give in to anger and assault would not be so extreme. I will with God that none of His Sons should suffer.
The crucifixion cannot be shared because it is the symbol of projection, but the resurrection is the symbol of sharing because the reawakening of every Son of God is necessary to enable the Sonship to know its wholeness. Only this is knowledge.
The message of the crucifixion is perfectly clear:
Teach only love, for that is what you are.
If you interpret the crucifixion in any other way, you are using it as a weapon for assault rather than as the call for peace for which it was intended. The Apostles often misunderstood it, and for the same reason that anyone misunderstands it. Their own imperfect love made them vulnerable to projection, and out of their own fear they spoke of the 'wrath of God' as His retaliatory weapon. Nor could they speak of the crucifixion entirely without anger, because their sense of guilt had made them angry.
These are some of the examples of upside-down thinking in the New Testament, although its gospel is really only the message of love. If the Apostles had not felt guilty, they never could have quoted me as saying, 'I come not to bring peace but a sword'. This is clearly the opposite of everything I taught. Nor could they have described my reactions to Judas as they did, if they had really understood me. I could not have said, 'Betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?' unless I believed in betrayal. The whole message of the crucifixion was simply that I did not. The 'punishment' I was said to have called forth upon Judas was a similar mistake. Judas was my brother and a Son of God, as much a part of the Sonship as myself. Was it likely that I would condemn him when I was ready to demonstrate that condemnation is impossible?
As you read the teachings of the Apostles, remember that I told them myself that there was much they would understand later, because they were not wholly ready to follow me at the time. I do not want you to allow any fear to enter into the thought system toward which I am guiding you. I do not call for martyrs but for teachers. No one is punished for sins, and the Sons of God are not sinners. Any concept of punishment involves the projection of blame, and reinforces the idea that blame is justified. The result is a lesson in blame, for all behaviour teaches the beliefs that motivate it. The crucifixion was the result of clearly opposed thought systems; the perfect symbol of the 'conflict' between the ego and the Son of God. This conflict seems just as real now, and its lessons must be learned now as well as then.
I do not need gratitude, but you need to develop your weakened ability to be grateful, or you cannot appreciate God. He does not need your appreciation, but you do. You cannot love what you do not appreciate, for fear makes appreciation impossible. When you are afraid of what you are you do not appreciate it, and will therefore reject it. As a result, you will teach rejection.
The power of the Sons of God is present all the time, because they were created as creators. Their influence on each other is without limit, and must be used for their joint salvation. Each one must learn to teach that all forms of rejection are meaningless. The separation is the notion of rejection. As long as you teach this you will believe it. This is not as God thinks, and you must think as He thinks if you are to know Him again.
Remember that the Holy Spirit is the communication link between God the Father and His separated Sons. If you will listen to His Voice you will know that you cannot either hurt or be hurt, and that many need your blessing to help them hear this for themselves. When you perceive only this need in them, and do not respond to any other, you will have learned of me and will be as eager to share your learning as I am..." -A Course In Miracles 'Chapter 6 The Lessons of Love.'

Kash - Read the bible cover more than once. Jesus was pissed his Apostles fell asleep. It says he sweated blood which is a real scientific condition caused by anxiety. Then he prayed and asked of there was any other way besides his immediate death. So everything you said is non scriptual. Now a secular comment.
Fear can keep you alive. It helps sharpen decision making on when to run and when to fight.
Even at a local level I have fear when I hold a business man accountable. Its a form of war and I know I am going to pay a price. But I dont want to live in a slum and such is inevitable if you dont. I am a business man, I make a little less because I TRY to be an honest dealer and communicate. When I asked my mentor what to as it was inevitable I would fail at times he told me to give back to my community. Doing that has helped a bit in attaining some balance and a sense of satisfaction I added something of value so I can sleep at night.
Your commentary does not match my observations from a metphysics or secular understanding.
One can have extra sensory perception by fasting or other dietary deficiency. Thats because your body will produce more adrenaline and dopamine if you are not metabobolizing food into the chemicals your brain requires. So it is very possible such people (and I include myself) may perceive something bigger than ourselves. This may have been the case of Moses or Jesus. Either way, I do have a belief and some faith we are not alone in this universe but I feel it behooves me to understand process so it can be discussed and analyzed. I like Copernicus as an example. Felt spiritual but pursued process. That required learning and I know I have much to learn.

No Christianity is good, it was the popes that declared themselves an authority, that claimed that they were the vicar of Crist, that were evil.
Ever since the dawn of humanity all political constructs have an agenda which is at loggerheads with the logic of TRUTH, of universal Good as defined by practice and error or the empirically borne FRUIT of the knowledge meme bequeathed to the Western ethnocentric time line by the Philosophers and practitioners of knowledge transmission of ancient Greece's discoveries : Solon, Pythagaros, Thales, Hippocrates, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Sophocles, Aristophane, Aeschylus, Ptolemy to name only a few.
These guys fought to teach Humanity like the spiritual leaders on all continents : Confucius, Buddha, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed. Western wisdom was just like all other humanist value systems that grew elsewhere.

Only the western timeline is a continuum based on the greco-roman time line which is documented and WRITTEN. So nobody can contradict those FACTS. Thucydides taught us that.

Two things I know to be absolute: Mathematics and the Mind that created it. To this day, no one can tell me who invented Mathematics or how it was instilled in us from birth, but even an infant knows two Cheerios are better than one, i.e. the infant understands the mathematical concept of More, and from birth.
Mathematics is the universal language. You can speak to aliens using math and they would understand you. Only the labels for the numbers and the functions would be different, the prime numbers and their functions, however, always remain the same.

The prophets of the Old Testament entered the stream of Hebrew history whenever the preists and the king of Israel failed to follow The Law. The prophets were not on anybody's payroll. The prophets lived a hard life.

What you're not grasping is that Jesus wasn't subject to His circumstances. He came and did exactly what His Father had ordained from the start.

He reached into that situation and bent the natural world and multiplied what loaves they had in order to solve the crisis. That is what He has the power, authority and freedom to do in our lives. So many Christians lose their focus in the midst of difficulty and forget that they are still under His plan even when it looks like they are in the jaws of death. But with all due respect here is my response to this insane premise. Jesus was the illigitimate child of a Jewish Mother. Sent away proabably to a relative during his "lost years" to learn a trade (carpentry) to ean a living when and if he returned to Israel. Upon returning he espoused a beautiful humanistic philosophy which garnered a small number of followers during a time when preaching and "prophets" were quite common. His last meal was Passover and he never denounced his personal family. He never called for all Jews to convert but was a reformer. Israel was run by the Romans and some Jews were upset with Jesus but again most residents hardly knew he exisited. Anyone who challenges authority or goes into a bank (money changers) and destroys property even in a good cause would be arrested in any country at any time in history. In the USA civil rights workers in the 1960's (I was one) faced arrest often.
I am proud of Jesus's Jewish roots and his message. Since I don't beleieve in any "supernatural" miracles of any religion the rest for me is a nice fantasy concocted by bystanders who don't even agree with one another. Enjoy the Holidays and respect all religions as long as they are peaceful.

The Essene Gospel of Peace was an ancient book excluded from the bible because I suspect it would have conflicted with the business of religion, medicine, government and banking. It describes a version of Jesus who fasted and cleansed his intestines with enemas.
This was his version of Baptism and became the basis of his church. He believed that waste buildup in the intestines was the devil, caused all disease and prevented us from controlling our health and empowering ourselves from within.
Of course any government or banker class or any group that took advantage of the sick or handicapped would view Jesus as their mortal enemy.

This is a tale of massive manipulation and handicapping of the public by clever people who have taken advantage of fostering intestinal diseases by withholding adequate nutrition that would enable cleansing and healing and includes witholding the knowledge of disease prevention.
Modern predators take this disabling process a step further by actually poisoning the public in order to speed up this disease process.

The problem is that the majority of Christian Churches and sects will not do this, because like the Roman Church, they don't want to upset the integrity of their doctrines of belief [or their income stream].
This same suppression of the facts was observed by John Allegro, who was at that time a Professor at Manchester University who worked extensively on the Dead Sea Scrolls, where he was quoted in the August 1966 issue of Harpers Magazine as stating:

One thing I know without a doubt is that through meditation and prayer, I have experienced a higher energy that resonates with what is called "Christian" values of love and peace. The goosebumps I experience when entering the White light materialize seemingly from brushing up against energy from higher dimensions, and it took years of practice being as difficult as catching a feather with your hand or trying to spoon a piece of eggshell from a bowl of scrambled. I understand what you are trying to convey. It is difficult to accept one's own guiltlessness in a world gone insane.
I would only say that God Is Perfect Love and Oneness, an Infinite Being of Wholeness and Totality. No limitation exists in Him, which means there is no separation, differentiation, or distiction, only perfect Love.
The nature of reality, therefore, is limitless, there being no place where the Father ends and the Son begins as something apart from Him.
To this end I will only state here and for now that you are the Son of God, as I am and everyone you encounter, and that there is only One Son of God. What you perceive with your senses is anything but reality because the only true reality is eternal, perfect and changeless. The world you perceive you had a hand in making, and it is anything but changeless.
Only God creates with His One Son.
The world that is made is an illusion, made by ego mind.
Guilt and Shame are a result of the Son of God thinking wrong mindedly that he can be separate from the Father and has perceived himself as usurping the Father's Power. The ego thinks it is God, our mind is split.

For decades, writing on global mafia has presumed a Manichean schism between cops and robbers; our healthy society and law enforcement on one hand battling organised crime on the other (with occasional erring by the former). But the trail blazed by Saviano and very few others demolishes that account, backed by every recent development in Mexico’s narco-nightmare, including and especially the escape, again, of the heir to Escobar’s mantle, Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman, from supposedly maximum-security jail. Narco cartels like Guzman’s are not adversaries of global capitalism, nor even pastiches of it; they are integral to – and pioneers of – the free market. They are its role model.

Not having read up all the fine commentary here yet, thot this that surly some one has already told and everybody knows should be told again and brought into more modern understanding.
Does it matter who the Gardner was that planted the seeds, or is it the crop that brings one more concern?
Does it matter who the actor/initiate/anointed one was that planted the seeds of say, a new way of thinking, a new belief system, a new religion, or is it the end result being a finer harmonic society?
Does it matter who planted seeds like the Doctrine of Love, and the Law of Brotherhood, Peace, and Goodwill towards all men/women, or is it the daily practice of these fine tenants as spoken of by many initiates/anointed(saviors), that matter to the right up and well squared mind? Are morals deeper than the skin of man who constantly seeks to sway away from God's(Love's) immutable Laws?

Is not Love that was felt by an old soul 4,000 years ago, the same love that is felt by the conscious old soul today?
Is not the word that was lost, the instruction on how to get back to where we ALL came from after learning the lessons of the initiate/anointed from actually experiencing the other side of the veil and further, to then share this Higher Light/Love, the instruction/word, the finest of all Loves, with mankind from an entirely humanitarian aspect?

Now, here is the nut in the shell.:
The simple Way/religion transformed by careful manipulation became more about the man, instead of what he taught. It was what he taught that saved in the basic tenants of all true religious paths, as mentioned above. Just as simple as Ten basic Commandments, and Two basic Principles. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. Love thy God, and Love thyself. It was all so easy, and a good plan until it came to the continuing exercise of control by the lizard clan, using their god-money. They use most men/women as the slaves to this material god, a sublime tool of satan/lucifer.
Remember, it is all ONLY about two sides pitted against each other for the fringe edge of the coin. Evil, against good. Who profits in woar? The babylonian bankster freaks. The psycho-rabble.
Knowledge is powerful, if you use it in a good Way. Knowledge is also powerfully evil, and is used is awful ways. One way begets good karma according to the Law of Cause ans Effect, as does evil get what it deserves, eventually. There is absolutely no escape from Universal karmic mathematically correct justice.
Religious Science is the daily practice and experimentation on that path of the particular belief system. For most, that is simply the belief in the Higher Power of Love(God) and the manifestation of every form of real honest good Love...one day at a time.
Love is spiritual, money is not. One will always be with you as that is what you were born to be, the other only a tool of manipulation. What you turn into is your choice and or the choice of the particular environment you are raised up in.
