Trump Muslim Ban Comments Featured In Al-Qaeda Propaganda Video

Tyler Durden's picture

Early last month, Donald Trump shocked the American electorate by “calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until [the] country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

While it wasn’t entirely clear what Trump meant by “until lawmakers can figure out what is going on,” the message was unequivocal: the GOP frontrunner was calling for the nation to filter those entering the country based on religion.

In the wake of Trump’s declaration, many analysts, commentators, and pundits assumed the brazen billionaire had finally crossed the line. That is, up to that point, Trump had proven to be largely “gaffe proof,” so to speak. Nothing he said - from calling illegal immigrants “rapists” to suggesting Fox anchor Megyn Kelly was “bleeding out of her wherever” - seemed to dent his run for the White House and in fact, his poll numbers seemed to rise with each passing insult.

The Muslim ban however, would be another story. Or so many people thought.

As it turns out, Trump’s lead over the rest of the field only widened as his message with regard to combating radical Islam resonated with many Americans who are struggling to discern how best to ensure what happened in Paris doesn’t happen in New York or Washington DC.

Irrespective of one’s take on Trump’s Muslim diktat, it was fairly obvious from the beginning that extremists around the world would use it to recruit. Here’s what Hillary Clinton said during the third Democratic primary debate: "He is becoming ISIS's best recruiter. They are going to people, showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists."

That’s not so much a politically-motivated attack on Trump from an entrenched member of America’s political aristocracy as it is an objective assessment of reality. That is, if you were a member of an extremist group and you were in charge of recruiting, you’d be remiss not to mention Trump.

For his part, Trump denies the allegations. Here’s what he said in the wake of Clinton’s comments:

“Nobody has been able to back that up. It’s nonsense. It’s just another Hillary lie. She lies like crazy about everything, whether it’s trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter or an airplane. She’s a liar, and everybody knows that. But she just made this up in thin air. No fact-checker has been able to back up her claim on that.”

Well, no fact checkers are needed now because al-Shabaab (al-Qaeda's Somali arm) has released the following video featuring Trump:

Besides Trump, the video stars Anwar al-Awlaki, the top al-Qaeda recruiter who was killed in a US drone strike in 2011. "There are ominous clouds gathering in your horizon," al-Awlaki says. "Yesterday, America was a land of slavery, segregation, lynching, and Ku Klux Klan. And tomorrow it will be a land of religious discrimination and concentration camps," he continues.

Will Trump shake this off with the ease he's shed each and every controversy surrounding his campaign thus far? Probably.

However, it's worth noting that al-Awlaki gives Muslims living in the West "two choices": "Either you leave, or you fight," he says. How would voters respond if this particular video were to serve as the inspiration for an attack on American soil by a US citizen? Would it cause the portion of the electorate who supports the notion of a Muslim ban to reconsier their position or, would such a tragedy only strengthen Trump's hand by reinforcing the link between Islam and violence?

We'll leave it to readers to decide.

This isn't so bad... if it results in clarity and action by both sides:

1. The US Muslims leave (don't let the plane door hit you on the way out), or they come clean and fight ('Make my day' scenario)

2. For the US politicians and Public, the charade of pretending can end.  Clear call for action and action itself can be taken.

If they were sensible, they wouldn't be a practicing Muslim. I know a few "Muslims". None of them go to mosques or pray and a few converted to Christianity. The ones that do practice I keep a distance form them. They seem very angry and bitter about the failures of the Muslim world and keep talking about how the West will fall and Islam will rule the world. If that happens, it will truly be the Dark Ages that will make the last one seem like the Enlightenment.

Long before Islam rules the world, all Muslims will be dead and Allah can sort them out.

Headhunters have a more solid belief system than the Disneyland/Alice-in-Wonderland/Kafkesque religion- all glued together by other peoples blood.

Muhamed helped himself by stealing ideas from Judaism, Christianity and Zoroaster and didn't mention his theft in the footnotes.

I love how all you hate mongers know what all the millions of Jews are doing to destroy your world. Yep, all Jews are plotting in secret to enslave you.

When people fear, they grasp at anything to blame but themselves. We all know the black, Jew, Muslim, brown skinned are responsible for all the evil. The white supremacists are absolutely blameless. They are good kind people that are the real victims. They only want the Jews incinerated because the Jews deserve it.

Murderers, rapists and wife beaters unusually justify their actions thinking the victim made them do it.

Those who control the money control an overwhelming portion of the real economy through skulldeggery rather than labour or meritocracy.

Seems like those pulling the levers are moving us towards as less free, less peaceful, more police and tax state.

But what do I know

it's a funny thing but most reputations are built on facts and perceptions and are pretty accurate in the long run. most assholes are well known by the majority of the people they meet where most people are once in awhile or never called assholes. i call this the asshole threshold. an asshole can certify himself as an asshole if there is a concensus that he is an asshole. these opinions are rarely wrong. making it illegal to say as much only makes the asshole a bigger asshole.

I agree on the Trump part (thus an up arrow for you), but not the rest.

They hate us for:

Our liberty = are you kidding me? Really?

Our Lifestyles = nope

Our beliefs = nope

How about because we come into their countries with our militaries, blow people and shit up, back rebel movements so that we can destabilize existing leaderships, try to install our own puppets, then charge them for the honor of rebuilding their countries after we have destroyed them.

They take our "backing" resourses (money, guns, ammo, equipment) and then turn them against us because they know the truth about us. They colluded with us in a short run, to reach for other goals that are not our goals in the long run.

Then we call them terrorists, even as we are trying to gage if them going after their goals when they betray us, will still help us.

They don't hate us for our freedom and lifestyles unless you mean the MIC.

I say all this to be friendly and informative.

To be blunt. I don't rate their civilization and way of life and neither would most of 'us' here.

We should not be killing them as we have been for an extended period of time.

We should be wary of them as they could fuck with us if not monitored and checked/hedged. But without all the meddling and military adventures.

But maybe the real gist of it is that the British Zionist Empire and the US Zionist Empire after it find a part of the world to rape and find excuses to brainwash the public and generally mix up the reality of the situation. First it was Africa for their people and resources and then physical occupation of the continent, also the middle and east and many other geographical areas.

Always under some pretext about these place and people are savage or lowly civilized. Africa became too cliche or bad publicity too repetitive. Asia is pretty tricky to fcuk with and to really get in there and sow discord ie Vietnam adventure. And the middle east is the energy extravanganza oasis. They have gone to lengths to enrage and attack the muslim countries and now the pretty much warranted displeasure they display is a further reason to keep them down and assert control over them. BCOS we love them and cant bear to see them lacking democracy and freedom. Our heart goes out to them and we will leverage all the worlds resources and militaries to enlighten our muslim brethren. Not about the Oil.

The crusades didn't start until Spain and Sicily had fallen and Islam was pushing into the heart of Europe. They were preceded by 400 years of aggression and fighting against an expanding Islamic Caliphate (Islamic equivalent of empire) and subsequently Ottoman Empire. The north of Aftrica, the middle east were multi-religion regions with a significant Christian presence until the Islamic empire extinguished it within leaving Christianity in northern Europe.

The crusades were the response to the Islamic expansion. It began with the church. Take a look at the timelines and how far they had pushed into Europe. Raiding Switzerland for example. Italy was under constant attack over the time period... Which explains the church calling for crusades.

It's pretty well documented historical fact.

The crusades BTW, worked. They halted the expansion of Islam into Europe, and reversed some of the gains it had made.

700 years later some nutjobs are stirring the shit again.

Now malek (with all due respect) you need to brush up on the Muslim conquests of the ME, northern Africa, India and on down into SE Asia. No crusaders there, just Buddhists, Hindi, Zoroastrians and assorted animists.

Islam has a long and bloody history intertwined with whatever state/sultanate "the emir" felt most lucrative to his offspring.

Personally (as an example) I will not let the name of the Hindu Kush Mountains go into some historical black hole. The range was called many things before Islam, the Parapamisos by Alexander, the Paariyaatra Parvat by the Hindu's who lived there.

It became the Hindu Kush (meaning Hindu slaughter) after the "peaceful Muslims" invaded from Afghanistan, which they had already conquered.

The "pacification" of Hindu's by Muslims probably reached into the millions in that time period alone.

YOU introduced the word "crusades" not me malek.

Perhaps a timeline is in order?

The Timeline

630 Two years before Muhammad’s death of a fever, he launches the Tabuk Crusades, in which he led 30,000 jihadists against the Byzantine Christians. He had heard a report that a huge army had amassed to attack Arabia, but the report turned out to be a false rumor. The Byzantine army never materialized. He turned around and went home, but not before extracting "agreements" from northern tribes. They could enjoy the "privilege" of living under Islamic "protection" (read: not be attacked by Islam), if they paid a tax.

This tax sets the stage for Muhammad’s and the later Caliphs’ policies. If the attacked city or region did not want to convert to Islam, then they paid a jizya tax. If they converted, then they paid a zakat tax. Either way, money flowed back to the Islamic treasury in Arabia or to the local Muslim governor.

And...continuing...

632-634 Under the Caliphate of Abu Bakr the Muslim Crusaders reconquer and sometimes conquer for the first time the polytheists of Arabia. These Arab polytheists had to convert to Islam or die. They did not have the choice of remaining in their faith and paying a tax. Islam does not allow for religious freedom.

633 The Muslim Crusaders, led by Khalid al-Walid, a superior but bloodthirsty military commander, whom Muhammad nicknamed the Sword of Allah for his ferocity in battle (Tabari, 8:158 / 1616-17), conquer the city of Ullays along the Euphrates River (in today’s Iraq). Khalid captures and beheads so many that a nearby canal, into which the blood flowed, was called Blood Canal (Tabari 11:24 / 2034-35).

634 At the Battle of Yarmuk in Syria the Muslim Crusaders defeat the Byzantines. Today Osama bin Laden draws inspiration from the defeat, and especially from an anecdote about Khalid al-Walid. In Khalid’s day an unnamed Muslim remarks: "The Romans are so numerous and the Muslims so few." To this Khalid retorts: "How few are the Romans, and how many the Muslims! Armies become numerous only with victory and few only with defeat, not by the number of men. By God, I would love it . . . if the enemy were twice as many" (Tabari, 11:94 / 2095). Osama bin Laden quotes Khalid and says that his fighters love death more than we in the West love life. This philosophy of death probably comes from a verse like Sura 2:96. Muhammad assesses the Jews: "[Prophet], you are sure to find them [the Jews] clinging to life more eagerly than any other people, even polytheists" (MAS Abdel Haleem, The Qur’an, Oxford UP, 2004; first insertion in brackets is Haleem’s; the second mine).

634-644 The Caliphate of Umar ibn al-Khattab, who is regarded as particularly brutal.

635 Muslim Crusaders besiege and conquer of Damascus.

636 Muslim Crusaders defeat Byzantines decisively at Battle of Yarmuk.

637 Muslim Crusaders conquer Iraq at the Battle of al-Qadisiyyah (some date it in 635 or 636).

I do think it was "Abaco" who introduced the word crusade into this thread.

Posting 100 examples (estimated) doesn't further your cause more than just 3 or 5 examples - to only prove that today the word "crusade" is -by some people- used for a lot of things.
By the way why did you call it conquests in your post before?

I have pointed out and I stand to that, the word "crusade" was first used with the Christian crusades starting around 1097.
When writing Crusades with capital C, it clearly means the military expeditions undertaken by the Christians of Europe in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries for the recovery of the Holy Land from the Muslims.

Especially funny is talking/writing about Muslim Crusaders, as those muslims were surely not fighting "under [the sign of] the cross"

And right you are, Abaco introduced the word "Crusades", my bad on that.

Your retort however, was asinine "The crusades were all the muslims' fault!!

Congratulations, you have reached a new level of insanity."

The Christian Crusades were the result of Muslim "crusades and/or conquests" which I just proved.

You cannot deny historical facts malek or it makes you the one who appears to be insane.

So now that we have the "crusade" definition problem out of the way, let's move on to the Cristian Crusades (capital C!):

What were its' goals?
Wasn't it only a certain (holy) city.

Do you believe that a promising strategy to weaken a strong enemy, is to march into the middle of his lands, capture a major city which however was of no central importance to that enemy, and then basically stay put and build a stronghold there?
I wouldn't.

And therefore I conclude that any "were the result of Muslim conquests" blabbering is only a lame excuse made up afterwards, to avoid the inconvenient but obvious reality that is was simply another of those "Why are they doing this? Because they can!" cases, that time by the Christians.

If the "city in question" was unimportant to them (or anyone else) they shouldn't have built a mosque on top of where the temple once stood, that was destroyed by the Romans.

Furthermore, it's highly likely there would have been no Christian Crusades at all had Al-Hakim bi Amr Allah (the mad caliph) NOT ordered the desecration & destruction of Christian & Jewish sites in Jerusalem in 1009 AD.

I register you're not even trying to defend the "Christian military strategy" pretense anymore.

Hmmm, how many people did Mohammed personally behead in Medina? A couple. He's followers are encouraged to emulate him. Peace through submission.

This is not to let the actions of the United States off the hook. This country has a lot to answer for and our culpability is undeniable, however we should never lose sight with what we are dealing.

"Dear White Supremacist nutcase,

The Middle-East was one of the most peaceful regions in the world prior to the Sykes-Picot agreement and the establishment of the state of Israel.

Both are products of Western foreign policy."

Fuck you.  You don't know anything about me.  I am no white supremacist.  I had nothing to do with how much melanin I was born with and I know enough about chemistry and biology to know it has no bearing on the supremecy of one race or culture to another.  Nigger is a state of mind.  Growing up in the South ( Mississippi)  I was around WAY more white niggers than black.  I worked the cotten fields in my youth with black folk who I considered family while visiting white relatives sucking off the Government Tit who I looked at as White Trash.

So fuck you and your elitist assumptions.  Islam is NOT a religion.  It is a political disease.

And to the point of the Middle East being one of the most peacefull regions in the world prior to the Sykes-Picot......

You ignorant bitch.  Read up on the Assyrians, the Hittites, the Egyptians, the Medes, the Persians, the Babylonians, the ancient Arabian tribesman, the Canaanites.....etc...bloody fucking etc.

I can take biggot.  That's not entirely false as was the assumption I am a white supremecist.  But so are you.  Most folks are bigots.  That's how entire nation's are formed asshole.

Bigot:  One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

I guess the English looked at us at "bigots" after the Revolution.

I guess the Catholic Church and the King of France looked at the French people as bigots after the French Revolution.

i supposed the Egyptians looked at the Hittites as bigots when they went to war with them.

I guess the Medes and the Persians were seen by the Babylonians as bigots when they came through the city gates.

I suppose that the Athenian and the Spartans looked at the Persians as bigots as well.

I guess the Sunnis look at the Shias as bigots

I guess the Shias look at the Sunnis as bigots

I guess the Iranians look at the Saudis as bigots

I guess......I guess........

I'm sorry......exactly what was your fucking point again ?

It's a colloquial Southern term used to describe niggardly people, white-black-red-brown & yellow skinned...people.

He used it on whites (properly so) above.

As in this way "Progressives are a niggardly people as they want someone else to foot the costs of their lifestyle."

Progressive. Niggardly.
