My Presidential Election Prediction

Tim Knight from Slope of Hope's picture

I don't talk about politics much here on the Slope of Hope, but it's a topic I find of great interest. Since 2016 is a U.S. Presidential election year, we're going to be absolutely buried in news, debates, advertisements, attacks, counter-attacks, and hip-deep in B.S.

I think the result of the election is actually pretty straightforward, since its outcome is dependent on the state of the world around us. From my point of view:

Hillary Clinton will win the election if things more or less, kinda sorta stay the same. In other words, the status quo begets the status quo. It breaks my heart to say this, because as far as I can tell, all the women who are so crazy about her adhere to this viewpoint because of one and only one qualification: she doesn't have a dick (please refrain from offering up her husband as a counter-argument). Honestly. That's it. The whole "gender" thing is her main schtick (and she panders to this, yammering on about how she has more female contributors than anyone in history, as if that meant a goddamned thing). Hillary is pretty much universally disliked, even by her supporters, but she seems to be the default choice.

Bernie Sanders will win the election if the world enters another financial cataclysm like we did in late 2008 and if the blinkered American public is finally convinced that Hillary is the bought-and-paid-for whore of Wall Street. Bernie's kind of populism can only overcome America's misgivings about his liberalism if it becomes screamingly obvious that the sons of bitches at Goldman Sachs (and their ilk) are inherently evil, and that Hillary Clinton is right there with the whole despicable clan. I personally think Bernie is far and away the most moral candidate for President since Abraham Lincoln, and I fully support his call for much higher taxes, provided there is a special exemption for financial bloggers.

Donald Trump will win the Presidency if there is a major terrorist attack, particularly if it happens in the United States. Much is being made of the fact that Trump's rantings are being used for recruiting in the religion of peace, but the cold fact of the matter is that the terrorists are, perversely, Trump's best friend. If they pull off a big attack, it will scare the hell out of America, and our fellow countrymen will absolutely embrace Trump's philosophy of fear and xenophobia.

It's as simple as that. Status Quo means Hillary. Financial Mayhem means Bernie. Fear means Trump. The events above will determine the winner. You heard it here first.

Trump isn't fear instead he represents reality, such as the acknowledgement that the Islamic faith's agenda is incompatible with any form of liberty.

Hillary will win, because the Jews can't get enough of her.

The Colonel is a Nut Job, nuf said about that the better.

Trump, probably the most hated by the Jews, I've got a better chance of becoming the President of Botswana than he does of being the President of the USA. The only way he could win is if the Colonel and Hillary get whacked

I'm not comfortable that you equated Hillary with status quo.  But I'm not saying you are not accurate.  I think you know what I mean.  Because right now, status quo is just awful.  The sleepers must awaken.

This entire election is comical. Lies, lies and more lies.

I do have to agree that Bernie is the most ethical /moral candidate,..but I'm not sure if that is a compliment. It's sad and pathetic that we are narrowed down to scum like Donald and Hillary.

Yep,...these two, Trump and Clinton, are the dangerous scum of the worst type,..they love themselves way, way too much. They only act how they act because they have to make it seem like they 'get who we are' to get our vote. Both are clueless narcissists !

A vote for either Trump or Clinton equates to shooting your self in the head with a shotgun and then asking for emergency brain surgery.

Cute story, but with no merit at all.

It will be Hillary and I would bet all I own on it.

Are you ready, because I have a lot of reasons the author of this piece did not touch on.  In fact, he did not predict a winner did he?  He simply stated his own political desires via a multiple choice set of questions that nobody can answer because none of us has a crystal ball as far as Q3 2016 goes.

There are two parties and each will nominate one person to run for the presidency.  Meaning we can debate the Oval Office from the two party nominations.

Hillary had the democratic nomination sewn up in August when she got her 400th superdelegate to the convention.  That is it on that side, Hillary will be nominated.  I can say from personal experience that party rules committee perfidy such as in 2008 when the nomination was stolen from her by 4 members of the committee not be replayed in 2016.

That only leaves the GOP to talk about.  The republicans are so deeply divided they essentially have two parties.  A right political party, and a nut case religious party.  You need to understand that on it's best day the GOP is 30% of the electorate.  While the democrats are closer to 40%.  That is a huge demographic problem for the GOP, but the GOP has already got an ideological problem with it between the right and the lunatic far right.  The real GOP that wants to govern finds more allies in the left than it's own party of anti everything party red state house members.  And they asked for it.  Call them the GOP and the anti gay party and that works well enough.  Now, add in a billionair who says if he is not handed the nomination he will just go third party sucking the life out of the GOP.  He is blackmailing the GOP for the nomination.  He also has the potential to collect 30% of the vote in November.

No matter how you count Hillary is our next president.

"Bernie Sanders will win the election if the world enters another financial cataclysm like we did in late 2008"

Which it will

"Bernie's kind of populism can only overcome America's misgivings about his liberalism if it becomes screamingly obvious that the sons of bitches at Goldman Sachs (and their ilk) are inherently evil,"

They know.  G/S is about as popular as rectal cancer out here on the street.

"... and that Hillary Clinton is right there with the whole despicable clan."

Trust me, they know. They just have a hard time believing it could be any other way.

"I personally think Bernie is far and away the most moral candidate for President since Abraham Lincoln, and I fully support his call for much higher taxes, provided there is a special exemption for financial bloggers."

<lol>

"Donald Trump will win the Presidency if there is a major terrorist attack, particularly if it happens in the United States."

Easy to arrange.

So what if there is both a financial meltdown and a major terrorist attack - which seems like the most likely scenario?  In that case it may matter that most people trust Bernie and think he's the only one who tells the truth.  But will he then?  The truth on this can be pretty hard to take!  And this is the one area where Bernie gets very guarded in his words.

Actually the fix was in with the hanging chads of 2000. Just in time to implement the already meticulously planned New Pearl Harbor of 9/11/01. Of course Al Gore probably would have had to go along with with that demonic coup, too. Just like Mr. Clinton did in OK City. never change horseshit in the middle of a horseshit election. no terror attack no clinton. they need to show reruns of the Apprentice, make Trump seem like he has been there all along. this is where Hillary has a problem, if they show media history, post Monica, and her on the job What Difference Does It Make comment? what a slogan, Trump will schlong her with that line like Bill only wish he could do.

its obvious theyre both for sale so that issue isnt one that either can raise.  bernie is an old white man WITH a dick, he has image problems. Bush is the most logical successor to Obama just as Obama was the logical successor to Bush. Bush can dissemble with the best of them, he will never give a straight answer to anyone and he is beholding to special interests. Jeb can appoint Katherine Harris (helped him steal the election for his brother in FLA, she could never elected to anything, he will make her a top player) and you will know that eight years of bloddy ass fucking is in store.

Well seems you just might be less than 1.  You are either seriously uninformed, have no ability to investigate what is truth, or you are a PLANT to stir up shit here.  I think the last is the truth, and you are working for Cruz to get a 'feel' on what his chances are to win.  Americans are asleep but not brain dead.

Cruz is a professional liar, well, that does make a good politian these days....so maybe he has a chance, be it slim as peace has a chance.

This how deceptive he is...for your education, no matter if your work for him or just like him cuzz he be a son of Cuban folks.

Take "Global Warming" for example.  No one is more vocal then he is that is is crap.  Now all this crazy weather we are having can't have anything to do with Global Warming...so it must be God's work, or simple weather.  That is what he tells you.  He 'demonstrates' that the temputature has not changes al all.  How does he verify that and not be struck dead by God?  Well, remember 5th grade geology class?  Didn't have that in your school....hummmmmm.  Well in the desert, the day is hot as hell, and at night it is cold as a witches ...well you know.  How does that happen ...it is called inversion.  Seems the co2 is a big blanket now and all that hot can't go up and all that cold ( way up high) can't come down.  So Mr Cruz has taken the temperature in the Stratasphere (near outer space) and averaged it to the temperatures on the land.....like magic he has a magic number that your childern will cuss and condem you for believing.  Got childern, do you care?

The water has risen 2 inches here...in the last year.  It is not a drainage problem, it is an ignorance problem and the belief that technology will save our worthless human asses from what we have done and pretend is NOT important.  Tell Mr. Cruz that God watches him and won't forget.

So Ted...have anything to say? That isn't cooked?

Yeah, divide 350 by 1,000,000 and see what kind of layer that makes. At a molecular weight of 44 ( air, 29.8 ) it tends to sink and not rise. What happened to the magic Ozone layer? That was only 1 part per 100,000,000, what a layer and it weighs a relative 48

Just for purposes of disclosure, I know all candidates eat shit and run rabbits, I've dropped totally out of this farce, not a break for a cycle but forever gone.

Everybody opines from where they sit in the world. Ted happens to live in the Bay Area, drives a Tesla and is surrounded by leftists. He may be one himself, I don't know. So his view of Hillary's strength among the general voting electorate is skewed left. That is why he perceives Bernie as electable. Bernie is as electable as Rand Paul. It just isn't going to happen. Bernie calls himself a socialist because using the term "communist" is still out of favor in this country, and for good reasons. But no GOP candidate will have any compunction to not pull out the "commie" brush and lather Bernie up with it.

I think that Hillary is completely unelectable for two reasons. The first is that she has a sexual pretator for a husband and she's in denial about it. That's one big, ugly albatross. The second is that she will never overcome the whole "3 o'clock in the morning" failure she had during Benghazi. Bear in mind, Benghazi has yet to see the complete light of day, as Trump has pointed out. Trey Goudy has blown that investigation, so questions linger.

The real question is actually whether the democrats are able to sully the voter pools with illegals. They are in the precess of doing it right now in California. Illegals can now get driver's licenses and when they do they automatically get registered to vote. If that isn't incentive enough to shoot a socialist, I don't know what is.

As a Californian for over 37 years, this one is my last. I intend to be voting as an Arizonan this year. The commies can have whatever is left of the shithole that was known as "The Golden State". I'm done with living in a nanny-state that is drowning in regulations, high taxes, ridiculously prohibitive costs for everything from car registration to CCW permits, ($325 for two years, every two years, assuming you can show a) "good cause" and that you have b)"good moral character", whatever the hell that is), and uncontrolled borders, not to mention out of sight crime and drug use.
