Nothing fishy about handing over your DNA to a company called Illumina. Nothing at all.

Idiots and their DNA testing.

Hey Mr. Illumina, tell me what my genetic code says about my body and ancestors.

Then the company makes up random bullshit about your health and ancestors. This is why America and Europe are a joke.

Europe is enabling a rape culture

(New York Post)

In the wake of horrifying tales of sexual assault perpetrated by potentially up to 1,000 men on New Year’s Eve, German officials have made two stunning decisions.

The first, from Cologne, Germany — where the attacks took place — was Mayor Henriette Reker telling women to adopt a “code of conduct” to prevent further sexual assaults, which crossed the line into “victim blaming.”

The second, from the broader German government, was to crack down hard — not on those responsible for the assaults, but for those criticizing the Muslim immigrants who may have perpetrated them.

But due to Germany’s desperation to prove not only that it’s the most tolerant country in Europe but also that letting in hundreds of thousands of immigrants would have no disastrous consequences, the female victims of the attacks were initially ignored by the political class. Had the alleged perpetrators been white members of a fraternity, the international response would have been completely different, as the Atlantic’s David Frum noted.

Besides my older children, I've introduced many people to Bowie's music at Karaoke (my favorite - Asshes to Ashes).  It will always be timeless, if young people are made aware of it.  Rest in peace.  One more change.

Swear to God that around 10:30 last night I couldn't sleep, layin' there thinking about troubles, didn't understand why I couldn't get Bowie's Ashes to Ashes out of my head or why it was still there every time I woke.  I hadn't heard of his death until this morning (didn't know he was ailing.)   The song was still running in my head this morning when I got the news.

This one hurts alot.  I feel ya.

Google is my friend: "Bowie Bonds are asset-backed securities of current and future revenues of the 25 albums (287 songs) that David Bowie recorded before 1990"

furthermore

The Bowie Bond issuance was perhaps the first instance of intellectual property rights securitization, a financial practice of pooling various types of contractual debt such as residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, auto loans or credit card debt obligations and selling said consolidated debt as bonds, pass-through securities, or Collateralized mortgage obligation (CMOs), to various investors. The securitization of the collections of other artists, such as James Brown, Ashford & Simpson and the Isley Brothers, later followed.

Swedish police accused of covering up sexual assaults committed by refugees at music festival

Noting that the youngest victims were only 11 or 12, an unnamed officer admitted that he would “never have let my own daughter [go to] the festival if knew what happened.”

However, when Stockholm police made a public statement on the event, it said there had been “relatively few crimes” considering the large number of festival-goers.

The police force has been accused of covering up the sexual assaults committed by refugees, with Officer Peter Agren – who was in charge of policing at the festival – calling the accusations a “sore point.”
