German Biker Gangs Attack Foreigners In Migrant "Manhunts"
On Sunday, we learned that the man who stormed a Paris police station while waving a meat cleaver and donning a fake bomb vest once lived in a center for asylum seekers in Germany and may have ties to the wave of sexual assaults that occurred in Cologne on New Year’s Eve.
The revelations came just a day after some 1,700 people turned out for a PEGIDA rally where demonstrators waved anti-migrant banners and called for the ouster of Angela Merkel.
We’ve long argued that the influx of Mid-East asylum seekers had the potential to trigger dangerous bouts of scapegoating xenophobia across the bloc. We’ve also noted that with each passing “incident” (be it a massacre of civilians like that which occurred in Paris, a bomb scare like what unfolded in Hannover, or sexual assaults like those that took place across Europe on New Year’s), Europe’s goodwill towards refugees gradually evaporates as even “compassionate” Westerners run out of patience in the face of what’s perceived as a growing threat to the region’s culture and security.
Ultimately, we’ve argued that it’s probably just a matter of time before some Europeans take matters into their own hands. That contention seemed even more likely after the New Year’s Eve attacks in Cologne where police have been blamed for their failure to protect the crowd.
Well sure enough, reports now indicate a rogue band of “bikers, hooligans and bouncers” organized a migrant “manhunt” on Facebook before attacking a group of Pakistanis in Cologne.
“Two young Pakistani men needed hospital treatment after being attacked by vigilante gangs hunting foreigners in Cologne in apparent revenge attacks for the mass sexual assaults on women on New Year’s Eve,” The Evening Standard reports, adding that “police said the first incident took place early yesterday evening when a group of about 20 men attacked six Pakistanis near the main station near the railway station where the New Year’s Eve attacks took place.”
“Shortly after the first attack, a similar incident unfolded when a 39-year-old Syrian national was assaulted by a group of five people,” Deutsche Welle adds. Here’s more:
Cologne tabloid "Express" reported on Monday that a group of "bikers, hooligans and bouncers" had used Facebook to plan a "human hunt" to "clean up" Cologne's city center. Early on Monday, a police spokesperson was unable to confirm the reports.
On Sunday afternoon, police had received tipoffs about "groups," which were "specifically looking for provocation," police said. Officers were deployed in the city center and Cologne's "Altstadt" quarter in large numbers. As the result of several identity checks, four people were briefly detained, reported a police spokesman. Whether they were among the attackers is yet to be determined. Two people also faced criminal charges.

Nearly all of the men involve in Cologne's New Year's Eve sex attacks were migrants, Germany's interior ministry has indicated.
"Based on testimony from witnesses, the report from the Cologne police and descriptions by the federal police, it looks as if people with a migration background were almost exclusively responsible for the criminal acts," Ralf Jaeger, interior minister from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, said on Monday.
His remarks come amid a violent backlash against the migrant community in Germany after a gang of men reportedly assaulted a group of Pakistani and Syrian asylum seekers on Sunday night.
The victims were injured in the attack, which took place near Cologne train station and they had to be taken to hospital.
Cologne's local newspaper Der Express reported that a group of thugs had planned a "manhunt" for asylum seekers.
So there you have it: the vigilante "justice" has begun.
Needless to say, this does not bode well for the stability of German society. Should the "bikers, hooligans, and bouncers" align themselves with a political movement, the stage would be set for a veritable (and possibly violent) coup and with 3,000 new migrants entering the country each and every day, you can expect public support for Merkel and her "yes we can" refugee policy to dwindle in lockstep with the inexorable flow of asylum seekers.
In the meantime, if you are a foreign national walking around in Cologne and you spot a "hooligan" or worse, a "biker", run.

You keep using that phrase but, clearly, you don't know what it means. First, a "phobia" is by definition a irrational fear. When the foreigners are actually present, maurading and raping, any such fear is rational. Second, it is not "scapegoating" to correctly identify the problem and its cause. The mere fact that the problem is being caused by a politically protected group doesn't make pointing out the obvious truth "scapegoating", which involves incorrectly blaming a party or group.
It would be like watching MAD MAX in 3D and smellovision.

To start of with: Don't imagine a "permanent war" in the streets of Cologne - as many times I bought my sandwiches sunday morning at the central station not feeling anything different from a station in another city.
But there has been certain trouble due to a demonstration the day before and in the night a Turkish man told me about certain trouble at a place inside the (former) entertainment district (over the years and now even faster a growing no-go-area) caused by marauding clans of allegedly Arab and North-Afirican looking people. I don't now if it's true - thats what he explained quite convincing and excited. He felt treated - even as Muslim ("not even a headscarf protect womens - we felt frightened - don't go there"). This problems didn't start with New Year - but the pace of getting worse is accelerating. In the 90th this places were visited by a mixed audience - since years it's already "muslimized" - mainly by Turkish Muslims or people from Balkan.
Our humble self encountered this saturday night only a certain aggressive mood during a stopover in a multicultural bar sadly caused by a gang of young Arabs or Northafricans stepping in the late night - many black guests were not very amused about it but the situation - thank good - this time didn't really escalate. Business as usual - nothing new. But no doubt: There is certain dynamite in the air as the number of refugees is vastly growing and people start streaming in the centers of the bigger cities. Many of them are still mainly accommodated in provincional areas far away from voters. Sometimes 1.000 in a village of 100 originated citizens. With approved asylum applications in the pocket and the first social money in the hands may be the situation will change not only New Year or Carnival. Who knows.
What is new are the growing concerns not even from originate Cologne citizens but many foreign residents in Cologne (…and there are a lot of e.g. Black Africans, South Americans, Turkish Alewites, even Jews etc..): Concerns about the unlimited immigration-fantasies of our chancellor increasingly suspected of certain insaneness. No wonder: May be under the impression of upcoming struggle they feel more part of the „Cologne community“ than ever before. They feel it's their home to be protected from incidents like those during New Year celebrations.
Unfortunately some citizens in the streets start confusing regular foreigners with refugees from Maghreb oder Arab countries. Despite those upcoming resentments many of the „regular“ foreigners haurbour certain comprehension and solidarity for the originate citizens. No wonder because they are united by the desire for security and safety of their kids, wives and property.
The intention of many young Arab and Northafrican flewing best agers often remain obscure as a huge number doesn’t provide any insight to their real identity (remark: The latest assassin in Paris possessed 7 identities). Already estimated 300.000 refugees „submerged“ suddenly in Germany. The question is why.
We register growing worries about a possible poisoning of the social climate as consequence of this type of unlimited immigration. Typical in my conservation with concerned foreigners is the favoured answer: "Next election I will (or would) vote the AFD". It’s the right wing party which profits from government inactivity.
A Muslim told me alluding to the Quran: I like my people, but not a few of them read one single book in their whole life - and fatefully they didn’t really understand this book - but there are others among them who doesn't even place the Quran in their library not to mention they look inside or are practicing their faith. There's really no need to explain that the most important think is to make differences, to see the individuals, not to generalize. For those refugees who came really in need to Germany (..and not with intention of robbing, sexual assaulting, dealing or straying around highly aggressiv in gangs...) it's not a easy situation. They are victims of their own countrymen (...or those pretending to be Syrians) and doesn't deserve to be compared. But how to accomplish in future?
Hope is coming up for all involved Cologne (and otherwhere) people and already integrated people or people to be integrated in future: Today for the first time the government sended back some refugees to Austria - but only those with goal Sweden or Denmark (...as they closed their borders...). Just on the legal base of the Schengen Agreement being trampled underfoot by Miss Merkel. We feel: Federal state elections are coming closer (first in Baden-Württemberg in march, alltogether three elections in 2016 before federal election in autumn 2017) and may be the political fate of Angela Merkel: What today still seemes to be a "morsel" of symbolic politics has to become a drastically change soon. In the eyes of manys in Germany - originate people or foreigners - Germany can't be single-handed responsible for a complete settlement of Syrian war parties and pay with it's own (already 70 years lasting...) tradition of security and capacity of integration. Sometimes it seemes that there is no need for Assad to stop his expulsion-bombing while Miss Merkel holds the door widely open for unlimited and uncontrolled immigration. It seemes that Erdogan is also interested in solving his Kurds problem this way.
But Merkel also can't force it's European neighbours to accept those far-reaching changes within an European society without borders. The European project seemes to become the next victim of Merkels obstinacy and fallacies.
In many ways Angela Merkel is vastly exceeding her politically mandate to make those fatal decisions.
