How to report offensive comments
I'm 'new' but I've been reading ZH since shortly after its inception. I'm sure the people who have been booted are still around under different names.
I was going to post under "Band Camp", but maybe next time. I think the ABC MEDIA part of ZEROHEDGE has taken over the comments, and maybe some of the content too.
I;m posting just to see if it says new next to my name also. I think this is likely the 5th time I have ever posted. I'm a wimp I guess....
Weird. So after I post all the other comments are marked as read, even though I have not read them and my own comment says new.
I forgot the new referred to unread..... Duh

Nope, you're not. According to my user page I'm at 5 years 46 weeks on this one. I know there's a few here that beat this by a decent margin, I stayed in lurk mode for a while after ZH moved from the blog site to its own domain so that lost me a few months.
Shit, it took me two years to catch up, and/or stop laughing sometimes. I think I have been on almost 5 years.
The information on this site, once screened, has been invaluable for me. Thank you very much.

5 years + myself. Terrified to post at first. Spent a year at least just reading before I dared. Back then it was a real fistfight on most subjects. I sort of miss it. But, really, I think most people who are here now - even new - have already gotten over the initial hurdle of disbelief/shock. More shock for me... I always harbored a deep cognative dissonance for the world I was told to believe. It just smelled like bullshit from the get-go - but no one seemed to want to say anything. ZH broke that silence pretty squarely.
Lots of good people here.

I don't remember her name but there was a woman a while back who posted nudes of herself. She got talked to a great deal before she was banned. I think she came back as at least one, or maybe 2 other reincarnations.
Edit: I think she knew some posters' real identities (she would offer to meet them) and she attempted to out them with their family/employers and that was why she actally got banned (I may be making your point for you!).

The nudes would be her screen pic (more than once)! But also links to private pics too. She even posted nudes of her daughter, her and her daughter. TMI. I wondered if she was a troll, but then others were very pissed about her trying to out them, She would tease them here on line about outing them. Said she was wealthy, bored, divorced, NOT very savvy about economics or markets at all (not that I am, but she was quite lost, or maybe played lost to get men to talk to her).
I should back track, she would come on line and say that Tyler had warned her about this, told her not to do that, etc. Maybe they never did and she was quite fictional! But other posters worried about her outing them, unless she was all of them too...
I know who you're talking about... your description is correct, but she wasn't divorced, and she had given out enough information that she could be identified if you were marginally clever with google. She was trolling a bit, but from what I could tell she used her "real" identity to do so. Definitely one of the odd ones.
And then, lest we forget... Marla got banned, too.

What I notice is when things start looking crashy, the oldtimers will show themselves. Many of us lurk, but don't post for a while, then come out when things start to get really weird.

I would think that if you cannot open carry (California stupidly banned it), and you cannot carry concealed without paying, that's infringement.

I would think the words "Shall not be infringed" would be very clear on that matter. Additional tax on a guaranteed right is infringement.
If I recall correctly - I'm not in the mood to look it up - poll taxes (essentially charging people to vote) were declared illegal on just such grounds.
And while they were at it, they redefined "infringe" to mean "put a fringe on something."

Henry is an excellent choice. I got 3 of them.
The frontier is my favorite .22. I put a Marbel Arms Tang sight on it and a new Globe front sight. Looks like its right out of 1890s. Accurate too.
Yes, not sure they're built quite as well as a pre-64 Winchester but they're still very good by any measure. Mine is a .44 Mag "Big Boy" (kinda gay name) but shoots good. What's funny is I seem to have more luck with $300 Savage rifles than $1000 "quality" competitors these days.
