What Geniuses Come To Believe

It recently struck me that the people we think of as “geniuses” tend to arrive, over time, at surprisingly similar sets of conclusions.

It further struck me that a simple list of such thoughts might be of value to my readers.

So, here is a list pulled from my quotes file and presented without commentary. Enjoy:

Albert Einstein

A major reason why groups perform badly is because of "group-think" which is far more widespread and destructive than most people know or realise. But "group-think" reflects humanity's wish to coalesce into groups for safety and security.

The pressure on people to comply is enormous and severe penalties are often imposed for those who try to be individual and free-thinking and yet that is what's needed. Governments (within a single.gov and geo-politically), NATO, EU and UN agencies are all guilty of it as are many private orgs. One of the best examples is the UN-IPCC where climatologists are threatened with cuts in funding if they don't sign-up to the climate change scripts.

One of the worst things that Group-Thinking does is prevent the vast majority of people from being able to better understand that!
