Tyler Durden's picture

It has been a roller-coaster week for precious metals as the 50-day moving average remains key support for Gold and resistance for silver. This morning's chaos appears to have reignited the bid for safety once again...

Moves from $1080 to $1100 on gold and $13.80 to $14.05 on silver are the new spikes.

Actually, 2% moves in seconds, minutes, or even a day is not "normal" and aptly described as a spike.  Just like 20 cent per gallon of gas price swings from one day to the next are not normal.  Unless you're retarded.

Which is why the term "technical level" means shit.. (especially when refering to gold/silver)

Much better (and used here extensively) the "WTF", the "WHY-NOT", and the "MANIPULATED" level indicators make more sense.

Technical level=the new LOLEVEL..

I hope JMB puts something good on sale on Monday. I still have some accounts to drain, and some fiat to flush.

Yeah, they do need to invest in better infrastructure. And a JS audit as the ads take forever to load. Guess I will stick with my NoScript.

I'm guessing that their server is either overloaded or needs a reboot. I'm a web developer and use the same software that ZH uses to build its site (Drupal), so I've seen incidents like this before. If the Tylers are reading this, my main recommendation is to look at New Relic + the access logs and see what's causing a bottleneck, OR see if there's a DDOS attack.

That, and why would you allow error/debug info on a live site?

"Technical Levels" implies PM's are not ciompletely, totally, absolutely, blantantly manipulated. Should say, "They are Fucking with our heads, ad nauseam".

Best to rise up above their pathological world with the ecomomic mantra: "Long term, long term, long term."

Silver would be the premiere investment of the century if it didn't have the Beast and its legions lined up against it. They haven't spent a hundred and forty four years and billions of dollars sabotaging it to let it move now, right when the muppets need the cover only hard money can provide.

It's to the death, bitchezz.

Global economy is entering era of hyper-DEflation, NOT hyper-INflation prophesized by the priests and followers of the shiny-shit cult. Holders of US treasuries will collect interest INCOME while US treasury prices sky-rocket due to global flight to safety.

It's a relativity game.

As long as rest-of-world in much worse than USA there is no alternative to USD and US treasuries, therefore it is ironic that as corrupt and incompetent as the USA regime has been, all other regimes have been much worse and capital will flee to USD and US treasuries, pushing them up, while others slide and collapse.

Uh-huh.

And when all that money has flowed in to Treasuries, the real economy is still crashing, and they start QE-4????

Then what?

Eventual collapse is built into the "Flexible-debt-based-currency" design.

Shortly, there's no collateral.

This leads to economic collapse.

Sure, you'll have your digits.

But what material will they buy?  And who will work for them?

Please note that increasingly large percentages of society across the world will NOT work for them...but will happily accept them gratis in return for votes (at the bottom of society) and for campaign contributions (at the top of society).

But that process denudes the actual producers of capital used to produce...hence production stops.

So, you can have your votes.

And you can have your Global-Mega-CORP.

But you can't have food to eat.

Chew on that.

"And when all that money has flowed in to Treasuries, the real economy is still crashing, and they start QE-4????

Then what?"

Then the price of US treasuries will soar to astronomical heights, resulting in astronomical capital gains, and those who continue to own them will continue to get paid interest.

You will die of old age with the USD still the global reserve currency and US treasuries still the global financial foundation & reserve asset.

The USD and US treasuries cannot decline unless there are alternatives for the capital invested in them to flee to, there aren't any alternatives and there will not be during your lifetime.

The design of this monetary system is such that it needs a continually growing monetary supply to avoid deflationary collapse.

Because the 'collateral' is all conceptual rather than physical (i.e. the ability to tax, vice Gold 999% pure!) there's no bottom.

The ability to tax begs the question, "What is there to tax?"

The bottom line is that collapsed production yields no 'tax' in physical terms.  Ergo... you can't eat digits.

And the process of creating digits is corrosive to the production of physical things.  So the more they do it, the fewer physical things there will be to tax.

The Global MEGA Corps are already financialized.  Their physical operations are already underwater.   They produce nomial profits due only to financial arbitrage.

HENCE... the ACTUAL PIE of the world is shrinking radically.

MEANWHILE... those who actually produce at a profit are being raped for taxes, interest, and regulatory compliance...and are shutting down at an accelerating rate.

So...

All you have to ask yourself is, "Can I eat digits?"
