It's Official: Trump Is Now The Bookies' Favorite
With Hillary's demise accelerating, and Trump's lead over the GOP field surging, it appears the "money" has finally figured it out. For the first time during this campaign, Trump has become the bookies' favorite to win the Republican nomination, surging past Bush who it appears has finally lost the real "money" backers...

Of course, this should not be a surprise...
Even after last night's debate slugfest - the lead remains as wide as ever.

Trump/Cruz in 2016...the best of both worlds.
Oh how I wish InTrade were still in business... would have had a nice score on this race.

oops
clowns to the left of me, jokers to right. here i am. stuck in the middle again.
This is Trump's chance of getting the GOP nomination. It's still well below 50 per cent.
Betfair have him leading the GOP pack at only 34 per cent. His chance at the White House is only 15 per cent.
Again, that chance is his chance of fraud-proof majorities in the primaries and the general. Neither is at all guaranteed at this point, to put it mildly. Rubio still has a chance as the "Stop Trump" candidate.
Betfair and the Iowa Electronic Markets have the chances of any Republican beating Hillary Clinton for the White House at 40 per cent. I don't expect much movement there while Trump's nomination is at all in doubt.
(Strictly speaking, that's their odds against any Democrat, but the Dem candidate will be Hillary. Sanders isn't going to be the nominee unless someone in Hillary's Secret Service detail does the right thing by his country or she is otherwise incapacitated.)
the party is so desperate it is willing to force a constitutional challenfge to let the canadian cruz be president. next thing you know tony blair will buy a condo in miami and declare himself qualified to run in 2020 or if cruz wins steve harper will run.
The fact that the probable candidates are Hillary and Donald tells us two things:
1. The American electorate has become both more stupid and more vicious at an accelerating rate. I will leave it to the experts to decide whether this is due to declining educational standards or genetics, or both.
2. Our political parties have become so debilitated by the influence of money that they are now incapable of producing credible candidates for the consideration of the electorate.
IMO, the only candidate who has the stature and principles to be worthy of consideration by the electorate is Bernie Sanders. If only he were 20 years younger.
Just want to point out that I said I was gonna put a thousand bucks on trump way way back when it was like 17:1 odds. Couldn't do it because the betting site isn't available in the shitty Moslem country I am currently stuck in but I hope some of you took my advice and will profit from the Trumpening.
WTF are you doing in Dearborn?
