Peak Desperation: Clinton Campaign Deploys Wall Street 'Strategist' To Attack Bernie Sanders

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

“She’s not doing the big rallies because she can’t get the big crowds,” said the Iowa Clinton ally. “Maybe people are too anxious over this, and that anxiety is spilling over into cautiousness and overthinking decisions. Everyone’s on edge given how much we’ve invested in Iowa.”

– From the Mashable article: Bernie Sanders is Surging in Iowa and Hillary Clinton’s Campaign is Freaked

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is absolutely imploding right now. When people get desperate, they do desperate things, and the latest move by the Clinton campaign reeks of putrid, panicked desperation.

What I am referring to are recent accusations that Bernie Sanders has “gone negative” by releasing the following television ad. Let’s take a watch:

This is literally one of the most gentle, benign campaign ads I have ever seen. Nevertheless, implying the obvious, that Hillary Clinton is a Wall Street funded tool, has her campaign running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Which goes to show you how completely terrified and vulnerable she is on this particular issue. As such, her campaign’s strategy is to spread this non-story throughout the media in an attempt to guilt the Sanders campaign into not aggressively using this key issue going forward. Let’s hope it doesn’t work.

Yet the best part in all of this, is that the firm working with the Hillary campaign to publicize this faux outrage, is the Benenson Strategy Group, a top strategist to Wall Street mega banks.

As reported by International Business Times:

Hillary Clinton’s campaign held a conference call Thursday with reporters to deride Bernie Sanders for airing an ad that criticized Wall Street firms and the politicians who accept their donations. Though the ad did not mention Clinton by name, the conference call featured her top strategist Joel Benenson portraying the spot as an inappropriate attack on Clinton, whose 2016 campaign has accepted $5.7 million from executives in the financial industry.

According to its website, the Benenson Strategy Group lists Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase among its clients. In a 2012 press release, Benenson listed JPMorgan Chase - whose executives are collectively among Clinton’s top 2016 donors - as an example of how the firm “has guided many Fortune 500 companies and leading advocacy groups through critical strategic and communication challenges.” The section of Benenson’s website listing the banks as clients says the firm is focused on “delivering strategies corporations need to stay ahead of the curve.” Other clients listed include McDonald’s, Pfizer and Walmart — the last of which once had Hillary Clinton on its board of directors when she was first lady of Arkansas.

Just below the listing of Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase, Benenson’s firm lists Clinton’s campaign, the Obama campaign and top Democratic Party groups as clients. Those clients are listed under a section in which Benenson’s firm says it works on “advising leaders who shape the world.”

Of course, it makes perfect sense that Hillary Clinton, JP Morgan and Bank of America would share the same strategist. After all, they are the exact same brand.

ZD1, Good post.

Years ago in the Arkansas Statehouse, there was a fatal knife fight. Regardless of the cause and outcome, this is the kind of representation I'd like to see today. Whereas now, all we get is these bastards talking about "their friends, on the other side".

You underestimate the lengths the establish will go to. I still say Clinton vs. Bush. Mostly because of the electoral college system. You think they're just going to let people elect a popularly chosen president? Ron Paul and Ross Perot would tell you otherwise. Secondly, Bernie Sanders is every Statist wet dream. Career politician and nanny state poster boy. His "break up the big banks" talk is nothing more than a Trojan horse. That POS had his chance to audit the FED and he showed his true colors.

Yeah, sure. Desperation. Right.

According to Betfair Hillary still has an 80 percent chance of the nomination and just over 50 per cent of the White House. The only way Bernie's getting the nomination is if someone pulls a Giffords on Hillary or what passes for Hillary's heart stops in rural South Carolina.

Beating Bernie's the least of Hill's worries. Her real problem is the same as the establishment GOP's---stopping Trump.

I don't think you've been paying attention to the polls... Bernie is crushing Trump on a heads up... clinton only beating him by a point or so.  Bernie has him by a whopping 19 points.

Bernie also crushes Cruz by a similar pargin.

And now Bernie has overtaken Hilldawg in Iowa (5 point lead) and is smashing her still in NH polling.

She is most definitely in desperation  mode.  #FeelTheBern #FuckTheBanks

If they bring 20 felony charges against her that could result in possible conviction, it might set her polls down 2 to 3%.  If a black guy robs a gas station for $60., he's going to prison for 3-6 years.  Everything is fair and equal out there, eh?  And the black guy, once in prison, will vote for her.  Everything makes sense as well, eh?

According to Judge Neopolitano, all it will take is an indictment (not conviction) to make her ineligible to run for president. And they don't have to prove she sent classified emails to anyone; "failure to protect" said information is known as Espionage.

This is how it plays out:

1.  The Hillary case goes to Grand Jury

2.  Immediately the DNC goes bonkers

3.  Polls show Hillary @ 3%.

4.  Bloomberg enters race as Independent.

5.   Hillary has a faux stroke; admitted to hospital.

6.  Grand Jury disbanded

7.  In August 2016, Obama declares martial law; elections postponed

Numerous individuals and entities that don't fit the model for Democratic Party donors have donated to the Clinton Foundation. For instance:

  • Newsmax Media, Inc. The media company, which has billed itself as operating the "#1 Conservative Site in the Nation," has made donations to the Clinton Foundation of between $100,001 to $250,000 and between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.
  • Donald J. Trump. Trump, a perennial-potential Republican presidential candidate, donated between $100,001 to $250,000 to the foundation.
  • Richard M. Scaife. The late Scaife, who published the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, was described as "one of America's leading funders of conservative causes." He donated between $250,001 to $500,000 to the foundation.
  • News Corporation Foundation. The foundation for News Corp., which is headed by Rupert Murdoch and was formerly the parent company of Fox News, donated between $500,001 to $1,000,000 to the foundation.
  • James R. Murdoch. Murdoch, the co-chief operating officer of Fox News parent company 21st Century Fox and son of Rupert Murdoch, donated between $1,000,001 to $5,000,000.

Not a hope. Some version of a pardon will come down the pike so as not to 'distract' the country from important work. An untraceable Clinton Foundation payment and some cushy board of director jobs will do the trick. The big guys never do jail - hello Jon Corzine?

I can't up vote this enough. People thinking Clinton will do a perp walk are living in friggin dream world. You'd have to assume that the FBI is some sort of altruistic law and order organization....and not in any way effected by politics or nepotism. Good luck with all that.

The problem is, the FBI investigates.  It's up to the Justice Department to act on the information they get from the FBI.  And we know how wonderful the Justice Department is.  It really boils down to how much Obama and Valerie Jarett don't like Hillary.

LOL at that picture.  ZH is definitely not a fan of Hillary "Crypto-Jewess" Clinton.  Anyone who doubts she is a Jew is obviously blind.  Not to mention her ONLY child married a Jewish banker and has Jewish children so it doesn't matter, her bloodline is now Jewish.  They breed with goyim (Bill) now and then for eugenics purposes.

The Deep State is in a quandary over Hillary Clinton because they already elected her President of the United States of America. But, they can't plausibly rig the election in her favor when even the "opinion polls" can't be rigged in her favor. I don't think that the Deep States' leaders understood how deeply unpopular and how widely loathed Hillary Clinton is with the American People. The Deep State doesn't appear to have a backup candidate or a Plan B either.

Plan B for the Deep State was Jeb Bush.  But the rise of Donald Trump was an out-from-left-field event which threw a monkey-wrech into their plans.  Sort of like the emergence of The Mule in Asimov's Foundation novels.

The fact that 'they" don't understand the loathing of Hillary Clinton is intriguing in itself. Seems like the "rulers" have a thought process that is foreign to the masses and vice versa. Almost like two different species.

There's no question in my mind why Clinton has been backed by Wall St. so heavily.  They are counting on her to get them through their collapse with minimum pain to the 1/2% banksters and with maximum pain to the taxpayers.  It's also why she's so heavily backed by the military industrial complex.  She's number one with them by a long shot.  Why else would they be fighting so hard to get her in?  Because she's all for "Truth, justice, in the American way?"  Please don't make me lose my lunch.  She is pure poison to the citizens of what's left of the USA.  The sheeple had better figure that out while they still have two sticks to rub together.

Great ad by Bernie - something that no Republican has been able to do for almost 30 years. Not something that Dole, or Romney, or McCain were willing to do. And especially good because of all the Wall Street connections Hillary has. And it would just as effective against 3/4ths of the Republican field!
