@ nmewn, I went to the open range out in the ocala natl forest not too long ago, and it was fucking packed. Every single time we have been in the last 6 months, jammed with people. You have to stand around 15-20 minutes for a lane to open up. Every now and then youll see a guy sighting in hunting rifle, but 95% of the people are shooting AR/AKs and/or semi auto handguns. One guy last time brought out a Barrett, pretty much cleared the place out while he was shooting. I don't know how pissed off they are, but the rednecks of central rural FL are armed to the teeth too.
I know people (who know people) in Hog Valley.
It's actually pretty tame now compared to what it used to be ;-)
