Bank Of Russia Calls "Emergency" Meeting To Address Ruble Rout
Earlier today, we highlighted a dramatic plunge in the Russian ruble which has crashed to record lows against the dollar after staging its steepest two-day decline in nine months.
The sharp (and seemingly inexorable) decline in crude prices combined with Western economic sanctions and geopolitical turmoil have weighed on the currency of late and in the midst of a new leg down in oil, investors appear to be panic selling.
“Some investors are selling at any price,” Bernd Berg, an emerging-markets strategist in London at Societe Generale told Bloomberg by e-mail.
And even as Russian central bank Deputy Chairman Vasily Pozdyshev swears “there’s no systemic risk,” the Bank of Russia has now called an emergency meeting with state-run and private lenders to discuss the FX bloodbath.

Russia will exhaust its foreign reserves by about April if not sooner. The country will be bankrupt. The whole oil crash has been engineered as economic warfare to destroy Russia's economy and it is working. Meanwhile Putin continues to fight a pointless expensive war in Syria.

At this point you guys should have known that Central Bank of Russia is just a Federal Reserve Franchise, just like 99.9% of all other central banks. The bill to nationalize the CB was already submitted to the Duma (Parliament) a few months ago. The way I understand things, the Duma will have an “emergency meeting” at some point and the bank will be Nationalised. Since Russia already launched an exchange in SP trading in Rubles, it means the moment is very near. “Some investors (like Soros & Co.) are selling at any price”. Makes me think that the moment could be very close. Another thought. Since oil is already sold for Rubles it means the Ruble de-facto became a Petro-Ruble. Makes sense to trash the Central Bank. One only reason for halting this act is a balance of US debt papers held by Russian CB abroad vs foreign assets held in Russia. If Russia nationalizes CB the West will freeze Russian assets (mostly US paper debt) abroad. So we have to wait and see it they are balanced. If they are, it will happen, because as a retaliation act Russia could freeze foreign assets inside the country. But looking at this report we can conclude that Russia has been preparing for this event.

On a side note - These parts of history have indicated to me that, as brave as the Russian can be, the Russians are very obediant and will watch their fellow people be genocided if it is from their own govt.. If Russia fall again there will be much more starvation and death than in the 80's. The jews will be determined to destroy them completely, wearing a Russian uniform of some sort(again).
