Greenspan said he believed that problem could have been solved in the United States had Congress taken up the fiscal policies put forward by Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles in 2010. The bipartisan plan created "a very clever way of controlling the deficit," he said.

Dear Mr. Fed

EMF - Unbelievable.

Oh!
(What the?)
(What the fuck was that?)

You burden me with your questions
You'd have me tell no lies
You're always asking what it's all about
But don't listen to my replies
You say to me I don't talk enough
But when I do I'm a fool
These times I've spent, I've realized
I'm going to shoot through
And leave you

The things, you say
Your purple prose just gives you away
The things, you say
You're unbelievable

(heh.)

New, increased taxes.

The economy is doing fine.
We're on the brink of recession.

China is crashing.

Listen to Greenspan's speeches, the baffle with bullshit applies.

This, just bullshit.  Really more like dogshit.

The fed should have a rule that doesn't allow any outside speeches or references to policy action at all!

Also, why is saying this today.  The market is on a good run.

Game of Rate Hikes

Yaahhhh!  Summer games!  I think a few will be hit in the face with the "horseshoe"...if anyone even knows what that game is anymore.

I just consulted the Chicago Manual of Style. On page 321 on the right hand side, it specifically says that including the words "Federal Reserve" and "credibility" in the same sentence or phrase is an illogical construct.

Countrybunkererd's picture

At first i thought you were going to comment on that wig on his head.  Then I thought, "Chicago? ... Style?"  That doesn't make sense at all, Paris maybe, but...

Clear example of Bubblenomics and how the system is rigged. To save ourselves it would be good idea to have some central bank-proof portfolio and this may be the entry point to actually not sinking with the stock exchange http://independenttrader.org/permanent-portfolio-models-and-their-long-term-roi.html

Grab your crayons, kiddies!  It's Time to DRAW!**

1.  Take any crayon out of the box.  (Either end of the crayon will work.)

2.  On your blank white-privilege piece of paper, draw a Round Square, with no corners.  It must be a four-sided square, and it must be perfectly round.

3.  Next, on the other side of your white-privilege paper, draw a Square Circle.  It must be round, but it must have four corners.

And next time on Time To DRAW!**, we will be drawing Triangles with five corners and four sides, as well as Stars with just two sides.  Stay tuned.

Now, with many Inflationary signs, we are getting to where prices may go higher...

400,000 free college educations, a few days ago

Many cities and states are raising minimum wages by 50% (but to be replaced by robots, apps, and kiosks), but this is like 50% wage inflation ($10 to $15/hr).

Many food items are getting very expansive.

This guy should write financial/economic newsletters!  Most of hem have a very simple "standard practice".  Say just about everything may well happen.

Then years later you can ALWAYS point back to the statements you made that turned out correct, and brag about how brilliant you were!
