Online Gun Store Sells 30,000 AR-15s In Week After Orlando

Tyler Durden's picture

In the aftermath of the Orlando shooting, gun sales have started to pick up again, just as the case was in the aftermath of the Newtown tragedy.

We first reported that in the aftermath of the Orlando shooting, Adventure Outdoors owner Jay Wallace said that AR-15s and other firearms were flying off the shelves because people are afraid that the government is going to take guns away. This trend is now spreading to other gun stores, as we now learn that online gun store Hunter's Warehouse, based in Bellevue, Pennsylvania sold more than 30,000 AR-15 semi-automatic rifles in one seven day period after the Orlando shooting.

Tom Engle, the owner of Hunter's Warehouse said the shooting itself wasn't pushing up gun sales, rather it was the fear that the government would start banning guns that drove people to purchase now.

"Shootings don't push up gun sales. It's when the government starts talking about banning particular guns and up go gun sales. When people lose their right to buy a particular gun or a particular type of gun, they go after them and they want them then."

* * *

As a reminder, Smith & Wesson sales are up 200% since Obama was elected

Also, the number of FBI background checks hit an all-time high in the month of May.

Good, the more guns in the hands of citizens, the better.

Collectivism Killz's picture

Why not Muslim citizens? Are you implying by virtue of their religion they are to be neglected the human right of self defense?

BlindMonkey's picture

My God granted me the right to self defense.  I can't speak to the Muzzie God.  I imagine there damned book says something else.

Collectivism Killz's picture

Their book says more or less the same. Afterall, it is Kurds and Allewites, most of whom are Muslim, who are bravely resisting the Neocon mess in Syria and Iraq. I am more concerned about people who take their religion too seriously. Many Muslims fit this category, but the religion of Statism is by FAR the worst.

exartizo's picture

You would be wrong about that.

Collectivism Killz's picture

Wrong about what? Statism, the Kurds? Please, before you even answer the whole Muslim thing, elaborate on how many middle eastern countries you have served or lived in.

Ever go to and check what they have on the website under "Centerfire Rifles"?

Here's a link:

Jack Shit is what they carry. Nada. Zero. Zip.

Congratulations! You've just been spoofed like the idiots at the Daily Mail.

OldPhart's picture

That is fuckin' awesome.  Look at the publicity that fraud gained them.

Excellent find, barliman!

I guess selling thirty thousand rifles (available 2) in a week depleted their "hundreds of thosands in stock".

The owner is a master of bullshit and puffery.

Joe Trader's picture

@collectivism kills -- you REALLY need to visit

muslims have three books, not one, and 51% of their verses talk about "kafirs" or non-muslims, and these verses talk about killing kafirs or taking away all of their civil rights.

so no, it's absolutely not more or less "the same" as The Bible

beemasters's picture

"Mateen also talked about staying up all night to do online research into anti-psychosis medication, the acquaintance said in a interview. The acquaintance requested anonymity, saying authorities had asked him to keep quiet."

Keep quiet??? FBI again???

"'It looks increasingly like this may have been the act of a seriously troubled individual whose personal problems dwarfed any last-minute inspiration from radical groups,' said a senior U.S. official familiar with the investigation, speaking on condition of anonymity."

OldPhart's picture

He's exactly right!

Personal weapons are for self defense and hunting...and sometimes national defense.  Everyone should have at least one rifle, one pistol and one shotgun.  Each serves a different purpose.  The pistol is for self defense on the street.  A shotgun is for home defense.  And a rifle is for hunting and soldiering.

The fact that an occassional nutcase can kill a shitload of people is because they rejected personal responsibility and relied on the fucking government.

So take your viewpoint, opinion and beliefs and shove them back up your ass.  Because they're so full of shit we shouldn't be forced to see them.

Don't forget to pile on the ammo.

I find it pretty incredible that a single company had 30k ARs for sale. Id love to get a look inside their warehouse. Thats gotta be a sight to behold right there.

I was just in a local store, it wasn't too crowded. The guy said theyd been steady, but not a packed as after other such occurances. It seems obamas talks have lost their mojo, I guess people figure if he had the ability to do anything, he would have by now.

As long as it was 30,000 to American private citizens and not the DHS....or to the doj to hand more guns to drug gangs.

I just purchased this little beauty for $2800, including the FFL transfer and background check ..... Sweet!

It's always fun to welcome another awesome firearm into the family. Took my 9yo son with me to the range last night, and his reaction when we were in the car on the way home was 'THAT WAS AWESOME DAD!' With continued good grades, church and chores (and another round of hunter safety this winter) he'll be ready for his first gun on his 10th birthday. Something in a .17 or .22 to start. So proud of him!

Take that, Mr. President!

undermind's picture

You Sir, bought a quality piece.  Nice Work!

drivenZ's picture

church? you're kidding right?  haha.  I doubt jesus would approve of that AR15.

The Merovingian's picture

Yes, church. Christian values like honesty, integrity, charity and mercy are obviously lost on you. So, you are clearly in no position to lecture me about Jesus.

847328_3527's picture

That's a real beaut!

... and I, myself, love the .308 as opposed to the .223. My father was in the Vietnam War and says he complained all the time about his .223. Besides the people hating American occupation there, he said the .223 was the second reason the USA lost that war. [He also hated the war and wondered wtf we were there for killing all these little people, but he was drafted and could not get out]

Anyway, he taught me to shoot when I was a tiny lass and always loved it!

All Risk No Reward's picture

The reason America lost the Vietnam War is because the Debt-Money Monopolist government and war financiers didn't want America to win that war.

Instead, they wanted profits, they wanted to indebt the American people, they wanted to create an environment of fear based on lies, and I'm sure they set up a few debt-money central banks to enslave even more people.

Oh, and they wanted death. Lots of death, including the deaths of your buddies and loved ones.

I disagree with their psychopathy, which is why I expose these demonic, pit of death bastards. If you are angry at me for exposing the truth while accepting the establishment that murdered your buddies through an international war crime Gulf of Tonkin false flag event along the lines of Operations Northwoods, then you aid and abet the demons in this battle - which is exactly what they want... your energy doing their bidding.

I'm trying to out the arch-demon spawn to protect future victims from the plans of these demons spawn.

"The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the [Debt-Money Monopolist] banks."
~Lord Acton

MachoMan's picture

Not sure why people claim we lost the war...  we never lost a major battle and the K:D was off the charts in our favor.  As far as I'm concerned, we showed the french how shit was done and just left.  It's kind of like the black knight on monty python and the holy grail.  Now they make our tennis shoes.

If we lost vietnam, then did we lose desert storm too?

OldPhart's picture

It wasn't a loss, we just quit, took our balls and went home.

With that though, all props to those that went and did what they believed was their duty, wether they wanted to or not.  We really fucked those guys over when they came home.  While I've never dissed a Viet Nam Vet, my dad was one, I do offer an profound apology for my generation and a belated welcome home.

Also, if you're a WWII, Korean War, or Viet Nam War vet, check this out:  Honor Flight

Last weekend we took 21 WWII vets to DC, all expenses paid...even the bar tab.  We're beginning to add more and more Korean and Viet Nam vets as the WWII guys die off (gruesome as that sounds).

You would be right about that.

Depends which god you worship.

If you're a Jew or a Christian then you worship the same god as the Muslims.

BlindMonkey's picture

Nope.  That is not at all true.  Christianity has a Triune God of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The Son is Jesus Christ and therefore excludes Jews and Muslims,  I understand the Abrahamic origins of all of them but it is not correct to say that they are the same.

OldPhart's picture

Christianity is a little like Hindu.  The triune are all god, just different aspects.

Fukushima Sam's picture

I'm not saying that. Two words and a question mark in the right place can be like an oracle. People will read their own interpretation into the ambiguity, and therefore lead to an opportunity to think.

PoliticalRefugeefromCalif.'s picture

If we give in to the seduction of supporting thought crimes even with honorable intention then what is the difference between us and them?

..inventing thought crimes and selectively enforcing them is what got us where we are today and rendered a lawless society.

We need to once again address actual crime forcefully and ignore the impulse to take tempting shortcuts- the Original Intent of the document was sufficient, what it could not provide was the moral clarity to preserve it.

Muslins are not Human, they are fucking animals.

The same as they treat Women and gays.

Barney Fife's picture

Yeah, some of them do treat women pretty badly. That aside, do you ever feel any shame at all for allowing yourself to be brainwashed? You're just all mediaspeak, aren't you, Data? Sorry, but I just can't respect that, and for that I do look down on you as a "lesser than". Why are you not at one of the pomp and flair dumb masses MSM websites? Are you here for the Trump porn? Fox has plenty of that, and lot of stories on the military too!! Wooo Hoooo!!

Oldwood's picture

Beliefs are a problem.

Actions are a really BIG problem.

Lets not convict people for beliefs, let's convict and PUNISH them for their actions.

It should be enough to simply warn stupid fuckers, but of course why would they believe us when the Attorney General tells us that they might NEVER know what motivated the Orlando shooter. It's a fucking MYSTERY!!!

LithiumWarsWAKEUP's picture

Of which tribe(s) of Muzzie do you infer?

Collectivism Killz's picture

Okey dokey fucktard, just remember, those girls in the sad pictures being killed or raped by ISIS are mostly Muslims, and many are Yezidis, who are far from Christian. But, as you say, just fuckin animals, right? It is too bad they can't act more honorably like us and just Drone strike families.

Immediately after 9/11, as the first flights were just being allowed, My dad and I went to Philidelphia so I could take a class on Crystal Reports.  He went along because an airline promotion made taking a senior citizen along would cut both our rates to less than half of mine alone.  And we got to fuck around, and pub crawl, together for a couple days.

It's one of the first flights to leave.  It's a Delta L-1011, big fucking plane...eleven passengers, each of which is sizing the others over.  I can take that guy and that guy, but that guy will need to help with that guy.  And they're sneeringly glancing at myself and dad.  Landed at Atlanta and you could shot a cannon down the concourse and not hit a person.  Eerie shit, at the time.

I won't go into going to New York with the smoking crater.

In Philadelphia, we were baffled by the subway.  We'd never seen one before.  And we were amazed to go underground to find a huge mall of shops and shit and everything else.  We're mojave desert rats, we don't do cities.

As we stood, dumbfounded, a muslim woman, probably in her forties, came up to us and asked if we were lost.  We said we were looking for the subway to go see the historic district.  She gave us directions and pointed our way.  We saw the subway and went down a bit further.  As we're standing there, waiting for the subway, she came up again, explaining we were on the wrong side of the tracks and needed to go to the other side to get where we wanted to go.  She walked us down to the other side, then went up to the underground mall to whatever she was doing before helping us.

Muslims are NOT fucking animals.

They're misguided, some are deranged, but some are very kind.

Most of your comments are emotion based and stupid.

Wolves are vicious animals, but you can always find a cute, tame one if you try.  This is how the social justice warriors and media lie to us.  They show a few cute kids, and say this is your muslim.

Fine.  We all admint a TINY PERCENT are decent.  The rest are violent criminals.  Go live with them and see how long before you are attacked.

Ms. Erable's picture

Haven't you heard? The Feds classify you as a terrorist if you're not muslim.

Note the magnitude of the number.  It was ONE "online gun store Hunter's Warehouse, based in Bellevue, Pennsylvania sold more than 30,000 AR-15 semi-automatic rifles in one seven day period after the Orlando shooting."

That's just one online dealer!

Oldwood's picture

I can only verify that even though I really didn't need another rifle, I did do my part and purchased a shiny new LWRC AR15 along with a Trijicon ACOG sight. It was the principle of thing....

lasvegaspersona's picture

Oldwood smart...a gun with a shitty sights is a shitty gun. Trijicon rules!!   It may cost more than the rifle but optics make the shooter if your eyes  are over 50 or so.

Moonster's picture

Same here, didn't need another one but a DDM4-V11 Mil Spec+ is on it's way to a

new home. F**ck the commie bastards!!!

SilverRhino's picture

I'd be real interested to see what volumn Impact Guns and Bud's Guns Shop sold in that same amount of time.

snr-moment's picture

And it's a lie.  The original story has the store owner describing how easy it is for anyone to get their hands on an AR.  It's a tiny-ass gun store in a county of 150k people right next to Michael Mann's Penn State.

City_Of_Champyinz's picture

Note to Tyler(s)...That gunstore is located in BELLEFONTE, PA, not BELLEVUE, PA!

And they have damn good prices if I do say so myself...

awesome. lock n load.

Bullshit. Knock off a zero and it's still bullshit for one online store. One any store.
