VIX Surges Back Above 17 As 'Brainard-Bounce' Evaporates

Tyler Durden's picture

The post-Brainard-bounce has been erased...

As yesterday's perfect 61.8% retracement of the Japan/Rosengren plunge is disappearing...

As a reminder, Ryan Detrick points out, the last two time that the S&P 500 was this weak on a Friday and this strong on a Monday was Aug07 and Apr00...

And don't forget - we are in a dark period now - no more jawboning to
save the world. We suspect the market wil ldrift lower to ensure The Fed
is anxious enough not to hike rates.

Thank goodness for the Fed's media black period.  The shit finally stops flowing, at least for a week.

Exactly. The writing is on the wall so no better time than the present to sell, sell, sell. Then let the sheeple get their pensions and 401Ks fleeced.

I suspect that the 'not to hike rates' meme is going to get blown over like a garbage can in a 50 MPH wind...

$4-Trillion BABY....!!!

Brainard is a light weight. Even if she says 'no hike' her opinion won't matter. Does anyone really think that the Fed governors have any control over what will happen? They will do as they are told. The big boys lost a couple hundred points on the Dow, so they told Brainard to jack it up so they could get out.

You can sense that we are getting close to the tipping point.
