Lead Lewinsky Scandal Reporter Says NBC Is Sitting On 'Devastating Tape' With Juanita Broaddrick

The NBC subsidiary of Comcast is reportedly combing its archives for material damaging to Donald Trump but ignoring requests to air the full interview with Juanita Broaddrick by Lisa Myers 17 years ago.

According to Brent Schur of the Free Beacon:

The reporter that first learned about Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky said on Thursday that NBC is sitting on the full tape of its initial interview with Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick and should release it before the election.

Michael Isikoff, who was a leading reporter during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, said in a Thursday discussion that NBC should release a 17-year-old tape of an interview that it conducted with Broaddrick. Broaddrick has long claimed that the interview that NBC aired edited out her claim that Hillary Clinton was involved in quashing Broaddrick’s rape claims.

“NBC has the full tape of the original Lisa Myers interview,” Isikoff said during an online discussion on Sidewire.com. “NBC ought to check its archive and run the full interview. (AS long as they’re now culling their archives!)”

The network previously ran the tape but edited out material that was damaging to Hillary.  This conspiracy has some history to it.

“Folks have made much of the fact that her claim about the conversation she had with Hillary wasn’t in the interview that run,” Isikoff said. “Broaddrick said it got cut out; Lisa Myers has since agreed Broaddrick said this then—and NBC chose to cut it out.”

NBC has never released an unedited version of its interview with Broaddrick.

Both NBC and the Washington Post “closely vetted” Broaddrick’s claims at the time and chose to run with stories on her claims, Isikoff said.

If we believe that the cover-up is always worse than the crime (which has been media gospel since Watergate, regarded as the high point of American journalism by most journalists themselves), then Hillary’s suspected intimidation of a woman raped by her husband in order to keep her silent surely outweighs any of the accusations of boorishness lobbed at Donald Trump.

This time, there is tape.  Tape is what made the difference in focusing public attention on Trump's alleged misbehavior.

Maybe it is time for the torches and pitchforks to start parading in front of 30 Rock.

It's always been divided. It's about time we made it official.

Pretending we are just one big happy family while they undermine our very civilization is delusional insanity.

Billy the Poet's picture

Individuals are individuals and only a system which recognizes that fact can work in the real world.

Oldwood's picture

There is a difference between individualism and identity politics. They have been pushing diversity (implying individualism) while using each definable subgroup as its own political action faction. Instead of unifying us while recognizing our individual persons, skills, heritage and abilities, they have sought to use those factors to divide us. We don't need a system to recognize anything, we simply need to recognize it ourselves. We can respect each other while still recognizing our differences,  but that is NOT what progressives are trying to do. It is easy to see by looking at black Americans....how they have been deliberately segregated by public policy, and media and political rhetoric. We can actually be unified by a common RAGE at what is becoming more and more apparent. WE have a common enemy and that is those who are trying to manipulate us with this divisive bullshit....and then laughing at us over it.

J S Bach's picture

It's astonishing yet not surprising that the discourse to decide who our pseudo "leader" will be has descended to a juvenile banter between candidates regarding their 20-year-old pecadillos.  Of course, there are not more pressing issues to muse over regarding our foundering ship of state... those boring topics are not as titillating a grist for the lowing American electorate.

Trump is making his case on legitimate criminal offenses and provable corruption whereas Hillary is making character assassination attempts based on non criminal behavior.

There is no tape. Unfortunately, it has been accidentally destroyed.

fleur de lis's picture

Yep -- that tape will never see the light of day.

NBC will keep it for laughs and giggles, and the Deep State will keep a copy in case Hillary steps out of line.

Eventually the most trusted journalists at NBC will be allowed to hear but they would never consider sharing with the American people.

Nobody ever accused the media of loyalty to the Constitution.

Good thing he's not running ... Trump can pound away at Wikileaks, even though it won't turn the tide, but denouncing his accusers daily for the next three weeks won't do it ... watch how quickly his 'advisors' and staff distance themselves from him after he loses ... Kelly Anne and the majority have already committed political suicide

Excuse me... Trump doesn't have to turn the tide... he's riding it. The corp media is playing to it's retarded choir all inside their private echo chamber. They may be able to convince themselves they are 'winning' something but they are losing in every way.

This one is better though ... if supports Trumps argument of false accusation.

When you are called out by those who know you for what you are, we all know the gold diggers or in it for some other reason than the truth.

Now I see the false accuser is interferring in these fair and free US elections /SARC isn't that a crime?

Hey Loftie, previously known as mofio then santafe then Aristotle of Greece then Gargoyle then bleu then oops then lance-a-lot and others. Lance-a-lot got banned very quickly so time to re-use another old persona (non grata)?

You are a serial spammer and a serial pain in the ass. Might I politely suggest that you go fuck yourself? And get a life.

PS. You might have noticed that my attempt to expose you for what you are is always the same. That’s because your Spam is always the same (Using fake links to your BS site which has no connection to your comment) so it seems only fair that my exposure of your crap should also always be the same. That's the type of workable system I was talking about -- one based on voluntary interaction.

Oldwood's picture

Voluntary action is everyone's desire except they tend to rely on oppressing others to retain THEIR liberties.

Americans have been sold on the idea of liberty while accepting the notion that our liberties can be retained and maximized by interventionist foreign policies (including TRADE) that tell us we  can do so without personal cost. That we can fight "over there" rather than on our home ground, that we can buy from "over there" rather than soil our own hands to produce.

True liberty NEVER comes that cheaply.

Billy the Poet's picture

The American system is based on giving people like the Bushes and the Clintons control of overwhelming firepower which they use to oppress us because supposedly that's the best way to protect our liberty. It's a bad system.

A better system would be one in which individuals had the good sense not to fund their oppressors.

True liberty NEVER comes that cheaply

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty. That vigilance must be maintained by each individual who wants to remain free and shouldn't be delegated to strangers.

Diversity does NOT even remotely imply individualism.

It was a tape, or should I say the lack of a tape, that helped bring down Richard M. Noxon.  I am referring to an 18 minute(?) gap in official record US Government tapes that was allegedly erased by accident by Nixon's secretary.

So you should be ecstatic that the Founding Fathers set us up as a Constitutional Republic and NOT a democracy.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Qszo8u1m9ZQ

Billy the Poet's picture

Yeah, I'm ecstatic that after the frontiersman fought for liberty the Federal government imposed a tax on them which targeted their small scale whiskey production and although they initially showed  the backbone to rebel yet again they gave up the fight when Washington led troops against them and they succumbed to misguided loyalty.

Have a few slugs and crank it up.

Wont Get Fooled Again

LetThemEatRand's picture

Only here on ZH would there be a discussion of the Whiskey Rebellion.  Note that George Washington pardoned the only two guys who were tried for treason.  It's a good lesson for all of us that even in the 1700's there was an active debate about whether the government should be able to tax in order to fund its activities.   Since then, America did okay and we're still here debating so maybe there's something to this system, even if flawed.

Billy the Poet's picture

And there's still a Great Britain too. Maybe that means that the colonists should have toughed it out even if that nation is flawed?

I'm from Whiskey Rebel country. The Federal government crapped all over the locals veterans not only during that event but also through the establishment of the Depreciation Lands. Look that one up if you're unfamiliar with it.

LetThemEatRand's picture

I'm not familiar with Depreciation Lands and I'm too lazy to look it up.  Billy, you need to back down from your ideological purity.  The Whiskey Rebels took over Indian land to build their farms and stills, and the military that did so had taxpayer money to do it.  The indians who occupied that land before the European settlers probably killed another tribe.  If you want to go back far enough, there is always someone who got fucked by someone else, and someone will do the fucking in the future even to those who do everything possible to be left alone.  It sucks but it is reality.   We live in an imperfect world that requires imperfect solutions.

Billy the Poet's picture

Billy, you need to back down from your ideological purity.

I believe that murder, rape, theft and fraud are immoral. But I should back down from that.

You imagine that morality is a quaint custom which can be disregarded whereas it is the functional and necessary recognition of the reality of human interactions.

Oldwood's picture

You can retain your morals while also accepting that there is no justice, only retaliation and revenge. The history is equally balanced with injustice and the resultant rape, murder and violence of those seeking THEIR justice through revenge.

The thing that remains front of mind for me is that EVERYONE FEELS JUSTIFIED in their actions.

Billy the Poet's picture

I have committed immoral and unjustified acts. I try not to repeat those mistakes.

38BWD22's picture

I have walked a similar trail, and I am trying to follow a trail similar to the one you are on.

Tall Tom's picture

Nothing that you are ashamed about? I stand in awe of such perfection.

There are mistakes which I have made and will not repeat as there is no justification.

Oldwood's picture

We ALL live in some shame. It is the nature of man, one of the many natures that our elites try to use against us. We are induced daily to sacrifice our liberties and property out of guilt. Guilt for our success in most cases and even "just" guilt as they are now insisting that we integrate terror into our society by importing immigrants from lands we have destroyed. Guilt is an important tool used by many religions as well, to induce us to sacrifice. From those who have (stolen) much, much is required. Now, even those who actually work to advance their conditions are thieves imposed upon to pay retribution. GUILT.

Billy the Poet's picture

There's the real guilt that comes when you realize that you've behaved badly toward another person and there's the false guilt pushed by religions, states and home owners' associations. Let's not pretend that we can't tell the difference.

GreatUncle's picture

All systems are flawed when they are pushed to the extremes and to be attempting to elect the most corrupt president to history kind of says it all.
