The Pentagon Warns Of Looming Dystopian Future For "Megacities"

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

The Intercept dug up quite a gem from the Pentagon via a Freedom of Information Act request.

Here’s what we learned:

The year is 2030. Forget about the flying cars, robot maids, and moving sidewalks we were promised. They’re not happening. But that doesn’t mean the future is a total unknown.

According to a startling Pentagon video obtained by The Intercept, the future of global cities will be an amalgam of the settings of “Escape from New York” and “Robocop” — with dashes of the “Warriors” and “Divergent” thrown in. It will be a world of Robert Kaplan-esque urban hellscapes — brutal and anarchic supercities filled with gangs of youth-gone-wild, a restive underclass, criminal syndicates, and bands of malicious hackers.

At least that’s the scenario outlined in “Megacities: Urban Future, the Emerging Complexity,” a five-minute video that has been used at the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations University. All that stands between the coming chaos and the good people of Lagos and Dhaka (or maybe even New York City) is the U.S. Army, according to the video, which The Intercept obtained via the Freedom of Information Act.

The idiots in charge watch too many movies.

This is all pretty much true already.  The only missing in their scenario is some pretty good thai places.

Do cities make anything?  It seems to me they harbor all the leeches, criminals, politicians (I repeat myself), crooks, and bloodsuckers of society and more or less drain the rural areas of their productions.

There really is no incentive for good individuals to be cops anymore. Fear will drive them out. The crooked ones will overwhelmingly overtake the force.

I belive some of that footage is of current day Los Angeles, and Detroit...

Those places are already Hellscapes...

I don't want the US Army in any of those cities.

But make no mistake, if the US gets booted from the middle east an attempt will be made to start another war somewhere where the Russians and the Chinese (and perhaps America) has no interest.

Just to show everybody that the US still matters.

This was Kissinger's advice after Nam.

Hey Loftie, previously known as mofio then santafe then Aristotle of Greece then Gargoyle then bleu then oops then lance-a-lot and others. Lance-a-lot got banned very quickly so time to re-use another old persona (non grata)?

You are a serial spammer and a serial pain in the ass. Might I politely suggest that you go fuck yourself? And get a life.

PS. You might have noticed that my attempt to expose you for what you are is always the same. That’s because your Spam is always the same (Using fake links to your BS site which has no connection to your comment) so it seems only fair that my exposure of your crap should also always be the same. Like for Like.

But wait, they promised us a "Brave New World" with modern cities and such.  This sounds like poop poo ganda!

RaceToTheBottom's picture

Don't worry, after the cities fill up, the vermin will break out and go to the countryside where they will drink from your well and find your gold sunk in your lake.  They will eat your food and steal your canned goods.  Then they will find your guns and use them on you.  They will steal your solar cells and load them all up on your pickemup trucks and drive them away.

Except that they will not know how to drive....

ToSoft4Truth's picture

I think you are on to something.

Electric Cars/transportation will only work in the city.

RaceToTheBottom's picture

Thank you for being civil enough to notice the solution.

You display many of the qualities that will be needed.

Of course when the SHTF, off grid might be the place to be, especially when you have some of your own solar....

All the more reason I'm against the national bullet trains from coast to coast and may find peak oil somewhat pleasurable. The key is to live far away from the cities so they can't get there by public trains/buses/footing/biking it. It also must be a place that has good growing soil, friendly and accepting neighbors, low taxes and reasoanble but not overbearing law enforcement. I've not found this place and have lived in 6 of these states visiting another 43 of them and will look at living in another in a few more years. It appears that my ideal home is not of this world, but I'm in no hurry to leave the earth rock either. Oh well nobody said life would be easy. That said the vermin you describe will be the first to die and will make good fertilizer. I can tell you as I've lived in many small towns, and they rarely accept someone that hasn't lived there solely for 3 generations. You'll be marked the second you walk into that town and that person will be the first person they will loot and kill just for smiling wrongly at them. Good luck to the yankee city boys, you are going to need it. Me I'm going to need God to get through such a horrid mess of dystopian America. Already living in it really.

Doctors and engineers. Every last one of them!

Reminds me of that exercise in grade school/jr. high/high school where people break into small groups and have to decide, out of 10 people, our bunker can only hold 6.  Who do you choose?  Doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher, grandparent, etc, etc.

BarkingCat's picture

even if there were 10 people and we had enough for 200, the lawyer is not coming in.

I just drove back with the kid from the Dakotas. He's hip to Weimar, fiat, etc. I drove him through west Chicago, up on the loop ( semi decay) to the shore front towers. Then over to Gary, Indiana. Later Erie canal and pointed out up in the hills the abandonded farm houses, that stood for 150 years and the brick federal intown buildings.

He's starting to get a eye for fedreserve cancer disease.

From Chicago, east into central Massachusetts, up into Bernie land and down into Virginia there must be 5 million abandoned homes.

Fuk Yeah! 'Merica!

( I can't decide who will coup'd grace this Obama-nation. Although the Dakotas looked real fine and nice.)

Little early for Pheasant. You blasting prarie dogs??????

Offthebeach's picture

Nope, skool. Higher edjamakation. Plus trap the kid for 3 days of just in my life history lesson that they don't get in the government sheeple farms.

On the way out I drove Intestate 90 at night. Frickn deer ghosting on the brakedown lane, side of the road. Can't see"um till too late. Not good. More deer than people.

I did see a dead phesant in Minnesota.

In Madison, intown, I heard screeching tires, had a black in a Ford Escape come up behind and weave past me with his front passenger on the rim. Tire gone, sparks and light smoke. Curious behavior. I picked up a copy of the Madison Red Star, and thus saw the city has all the accomplishments of modern welfare-isms.

Of what, I have no idea...

Nationalist propoganda, I suppose...

Walk around D.C. in any direction 2 blocks outside the government mall. It is a total 3rd world shit hole. Pigeon shit caking everything. Piss and shit and bums sleeping on sidewalks. Faggots with their dicks waving in the public restrooms. Cracks you can trip over on the sidewalks. Roads that have been poorly patched for generations. Drivers that run every red light in town trying to intimidate pedestrians to get out of their way. Etc. etc.

"Looming," was 30 years ago. The socialist paradise has arrived.

wahrheit's picture

If you saw DC in the 1980s, that's probably a good microcosm. SE DC was a 3rd-world hellhole. I imagine most of Chicago fits this description.

Can the Pentagon just focus on defending the damn country first? Who cares about favelas and Mumbai slums? I mean, it's tragic and all but if all those resources were diverted back home and we stopped droning weddings, we wouldn't have to worry so much about poverty-driven terrorism.

Nature tends to take care of that shit. Typhoons hitting Bangladesh, tsunamis wiping out hundreds of thousands in Indonesia... trust me, we'll do just fine at home.

Fucking Pentagon/UN Agenda 21 psyops.

The nation is its culture. The culture is the people.

Import 85 IQ savages, and you get a replication of the 3rd world nation they built with their r-selected reproduction strategies.

You can help them to further out-breed the k-selected natives by robbing the natives (taxes), preventing them from having more kids as they cannot afford them, and feeding that currency to the savages, ideally by increasing their payments the more children they have.

It's really brilliant when you think about it.

Kit Carson's picture

We are also growing our own crop of 85 IQ citizens. Check out a copy of Paul Kersey's Bell Curve City.

Kidbuck's picture

It wasn't the low IQ folks that started and ran the Federal Reserve. It wasn't the low IQ folks that started/dragged us into every war since 1776. It was the high IQs of predominately Ivy League college educated self annoited leaders.
In a generation most immigrant IQs of any race rise to average or beyond.

There was a genius Noble prize scientist who told a sperm bank that his sperm wouldn't produce notable offspring. If they wanted offspring of his quality they should find poor uneducated immigrants like his parents were: A shoemaker and a cleaning lady or some such, as I recall.

I think he's saying that nurture is more important than nature to instill the drives and values that allow you to achieve.

Nuture comes from culture which is why they attack our culture because the nefarious bastards know what stands in their way.

Krungle's picture

Before we imported said "savages" we already had about 150 million sub-100 IQ Europeans here. They are a pretty dumb lot that allowed sociopaths to take over and import said savages because their own stupidity was not enough.

BarkingCat's picture

That's true but we are talking about average  IQ.

Those savages being imported are on both sides of the 85.

The Reserve Army of Welfare. They are,a cost the elites tax us to support. They provide the elite electoral control, to destroy us. Using our wealth of centuries of labor.

We are the Kulaks to their Stalinism.

The BLM was a test run, a Beta, a research trial on a actual violent army by Soros. Some numbers,on costs had to be discovered, metrics on mass influence reviewed, lessons learned...cadre trained.

conraddobler's picture

The amount of up arrows you are getting eloquently describing their plan really points out that it WOULD have been brilliant, it WAS brilliant, right up until the point people figured it out.

Then it's really not brilliant anymore, simply because it's primary goal is to go unoticed and unchecked until it's too late of course.

We all are Buggs Bunny, Batman, and the Road Runner.

I guess this makes the evil fuckers Elmer Fudd.

ACES FULL's picture

Yeah, told the wife yesterday that many people have an inner psychopath that they have to keep suppressed. Take those rural people that hate crowds and subject them to the anxiety of big city life and some will break and the psyco part will emerge. Psycho with 125-150 IQ can do some real damage, sometimes for years. They like to imagine forcing all types of shit on us, all I can say is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Never give up.

hedgeless_horseman's picture

The future?

America already has more prisoners than farmers.

Thank God I'm a country boy!

nmewn's picture

Its amazing when you think about it, most concrete jungle dwellers (if they even had enough common sense to get around security choke points "set up for their protection") and got out into the countryside wouldn't last a week.

Apparently surprised by well known facts like, fish really isn't square, water isn't always potable, the only pizza you will find is crust from an empty box that blew out of the back of a p-up truck and creatures larger & smaller than them (and supposedly not even close to their IQ level) can kill them graveyard dead ;-)

Parrotile's picture

The ability to produce safe, potable water is THE number one essential in survival.  For those of us in the "Affluent West" the technology available to DIY is abundant, and (once the "Big Die Off occurs) readily available.

We're particularly fortunate in Australia since "everyone" has some level of water storage - even the smallest new properties HAVE to have significant (1500l+) rainwater storage (supposedly for non-culinary use, i.e. toilets / washing machines), and with the extreme popularity of home swimming pools, there is a large (and affordable) market for decent qualilty water filtration systems.

Water tank + pool filter = your very own safe water supply.

Can't remain at home? Have to "bug out"? Again, we're all very keen on the caravan / RV lifestyle, with filtered water being a "must have"  for all but the most basic camper. Lots of choice, good prices, acceptable longevity (1000's of litres as long as it has had "some" degree of prefiltration - straining through a nylon fabric bag fits that need).

nmewn's picture

Quite correct, without potable water one is dead in 3 days to a week (depending on their exertion level & climate) combine that with some city dweller seeing a Bambi story book babbling brook after trudging for miles in the backwoods as something to plant their face in and drink till they pop open and they make it 2 days tops, once the giardia (and anything else they sucked down their throat) kicks in...and its not a pleasant way to go.

We had something similar as what you describe "down there" here in Florida, mostly along the coast where salt/brackish water intrusion into wells is a known thing. Back in the day they constructed cisterns right beside (or on) the house to collect the rainwater.

I'm pretty fortunate where I'm currently at, its (geologically) mostly all lime rock formations below with springs coming up everywhere...north Florida.

RichardParker's picture

The Australian government actually "lets" people collect their rainwater?
