Is This Why Comey Broke: A Stack Of Resignation Letters From Furious FBI Agents

Tyler Durden's picture

Conspiracy theories have swirled in recent days as to why FBI Director James Comey reopened Hillary's email investigation after just closing it back in July concluding that, although Hillary had demonstrated gross negligence in her establishment of a private email server, that "no reasonable prosecutor" would bring a case against her.  Democrats, after lavishing Comey with praise for months on concluding his investigation in an "impartial" way, have since lashed out at him for seeking to influence the 2016 election cycle with Hillary herself describing his recent actions as "deeply troubling".  Republicans, on the other hand, have praised Comey's recent efforts as an attempt to correct a corrupt investigation that seemingly ignored critical evidence while granting numerous immunity agreements to Clinton staffers.

According to the Daily Mail, and a source close to James Comey, the decision, at least in part, came after he "could no longer resist mounting pressure by mutinous agents in the FBI" who "felt that he betrayed them and brought disgrace on the bureau by letting Hillary off with a slap on the wrist."

James Comey's decision to revive the investigation of Hillary Clinton's email server and her handling of classified material came after he could no longer resist mounting pressure by mutinous agents in the FBI, including some of his top deputies, according to a source close to the embattled FBI director.

'The atmosphere at the FBI has been toxic ever since Jim announced last July that he wouldn't recommend an indictment against Hillary,' said the source, a close friend who has known Comey for nearly two decades, shares family outings with him, and accompanies him to Catholic mass every week.

'Some people, including department heads, stopped talking to Jim, and even ignored his greetings when they passed him in the hall,' said the source. 'They felt that he betrayed them and brought disgrace on the bureau by letting Hillary off with a slap on the wrist.'

According to the source, Comey fretted over the problem for months and discussed it at great length with his wife, Patrice.

He told his wife that he was depressed by the stack of resignation letters piling up on his desk from disaffected agents. The letters reminded him every day that morale in the FBI had hit rock bottom.

'The people he trusts the most have been the angriest at him,' the source continued. 'And that includes his wife, Pat. She kept urging him to admit that he had been wrong when he refused to press charges against the former secretary of state.

Though we're sure there are many facets behind Comey's decision making process, we can all be quite certain, at this point, that he's not motivated by a desire to make friends having now alienated just about everyone in Washington, both in law enforcement and in both political parties.  In fact, after Tim Kaine just last week praised Comey as a "wonderful" career public servant with the "highest standards of integrity"....

...everything has now been turned on it's head with Hillary calling his latest moves "unprecedented and deeply troubling"...seemingly implying an attempt, on the part of Comey, to "rig" the election from Trump.

Meanwhile, President Obama and Attorney General Loretta Lynch are apparently also "furious" with Comey over his recent decision.

His announcement about the revived investigation, which came just 11 days before the presidential election, was greeted with shock and dismay by Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the prosecutors at the Justice Department.

'Jim told me that Lynch and Obama are furious with him,' the source said.

'Lynch and Obama haven't contacted Jim directly,' said the source, 'but they've made it crystal clear through third parties that they disapprove of his effort to save face.'

And while the decision to reopen the case may appease FBI agents and republicans, in the short-term, we suspect it does very little to restore overall faith in his competence.  As such, we continue to question just how long Comey can hold out before being forced to resign his post.  At a bare minimum, in light of his continued questionable judgement and serious doubts raised about the integrity of the first investigation, we fail to understand how an independent investigation into Hillary's email server isn't warranted.

Yes all unnamed sources that seem to know who and how many threatened to resign and all of the inside story of a very tight lipped organization.   AND the the fairy princess killed the big bad wolf with her atomic laser gun.  I know it is true cause I read it right here from an anonymous source with an anonymous author.

wow there are some honest ones left. kudos. personally i wouldn't work for that cunt at any level no matter how much you paid me. message to honest fbi agents: find a nice quiet town and join local law enforcement. there is no hope left in d.c..

buzzsaw99's picture

my point was only that it appears that there are still a few honest agents in the fbi, not that comey is one of them.

I can't stand to lie
I'm not that naïve
I'm just out to find
The better part of me

I'm more than a turd
I'm more than a bane
More than some big disgrace behind the reign

It's not easy to be me

Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
About the balls I'll never see

It may sound absurd
But don't be naïve
Even zeroes have the right to breed

I may be disturbed
But won't you concede
Even zeroes have the right to dream

It's not easy to be me

Grow up and just stay
Away from me
It's not all right

You cannot sleep sound tonight
It's too crazy
for anything

I can't stand to lie
I'm not that naïve
Men weren't meant to thrive
Without balls between their knees.

I'm only a man hiding out in DC
Digging for something right on this one way street
Only a man hiding out on E Street
Looking for special things inside of me

It's not easy to be me.

There was only one permissible action for Comey ... convene a grand jury and act on their guidance.  He needed to obtain an impartial assessment.  It is the one way to ensure public trust. He did not do it.

Whoa! Wait a minute! When did Comey give Crooked Hillary a slap on the wrist? To me, "a slap on the wrist" is a year in the federal pen minimum security. That's a "slap on the wrist". Bitch wasn't even indicted. Slap on the wrist, my ass.

I think Comey's decision to re-open came after hearing every night since that stupid day 'no pussy today hon, you gave me bad, long lasting migraine', so he re-opens so that she re-opens for him :) ... the timing is right, which healthy man can make it going pussy dry past 2 months?!

according to Aristophanes, in his comedy Lysistrata, it worked in ancient greece (well, it wasn't ancient to him).

Lysistrata is the comic account of one woman's extraordinary mission to end the Peloponnesian War, as Lysistrata convinces the women of Greece to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands as a means of forcing the men to negotiate a peace. Some consider it his greatest work, and it is probably the most anthologized. (wiki)

whatever and however, thank you patrice.

These worms don't play nice, especially while cornered!  Trump better gird up, guaranteed, there will be cross hairs on his head, as the elite take sides against each other, as the dark side goes to war among themselves.

The Clinton's are in a world of hurt, and there's nothing more vicious then a cornered wounded animal, and they are ANIMALS.

If you thought the elite were out to get you, watch as they turn on each other.  It's going to be a blood bath!

It's all fun and games serving Satan, until demons come to drag your soul into hell.  There are no smiles in the Clinton camp today. it's all fear and loathing in their smoke filled rooms.

Let the unraveling begin, this is going to be fun, watching these reprobates eat each other, watching as the mighty fall!

The proud look of man will be abased And the loftiness of man will be humbled, And the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

For the LORD of hosts will have a day of reckoning Against everyone who is proud and lofty And against everyone who is lifted up, That he may be abased.

This is sort of a Pontious Pilate scene with his wife but in reverse from Matthew 27:19. Did not turn out too well for Pilate either.  There truly is nothing new under the Sun.

that's why I told everyone to call them 'The Weasels' because it destroys their reputation and makes them more likely to revolt

Im sure the Jury Nullification in Oregon was factored in, we no longer trust you, any of you.

Trogdor's picture

I won't trust them until they bring up all the cold-blooded murderers in their ranks up on charges - and publicly execute them.  The FBI has no reputation to save - it was destroyed years ago at Waco - and probably before then.   Anyone who's working there has no moral compass whatsoever - if they did, they'd be cleaning out their own ranks.  Just another group of low-life enforcers for the PTB.

CheapBastard's picture

Right now very few people have respect for the FBI. Americans lost respect for the DOJ long ago when Croooked Holder perverted justice.

My entire family laughed when I asked them if they wanted to watch that Netflix "The FBI Files" about these so-called, "intrepid men, yadda yadda, yadda...."

I agree with the above; unless and until Comey actually indicts and/or arrests, it's all downhill for our nation. I would not be surprised if the disillusioned agents and police people gradually form their own Night Justice/Death Squads like they have in Third World countries to carry out actual justice in the face of blatant high level corruption.

jeff montanye's picture

though you might not be surprised, it is so not the way to go, as those third world countries like mexico, venezuela and columbia teach us.

reinstitute (or institute, i'm not picky) the rule of law.

Ah yes, Waco.  The FBI assassin Lon Horiuchi machine gunning women and children as they exited the burning compound...a compound set alight by agents of the federal government.  Nice.

But why were the feds involved at all in what was (an alleged) state crime?  Becuase the Davidians were apparently recording tail no. information of planes using the Waco airport...a Texas twin of the Mena Ark airport (i.e., drug trans-shipment points).  The Bush Clinton Crime Syndicate needed to destroy evidence that could implicate them in the drug war.

And who gave stooge Janet Reno the go-ahead to incinerate the BDs?  Yes, HRC of course.  Nice.

Non Merger's picture

Do you have any more information on the Waco/Mena similarities?  Links/etc.

Han Cholo's picture

I believe Lon was at Ruby Ridge...but for all I know, he was at both Ruby and Waco.

Dude is a murderer none the less.

DosZap's picture

Yes, LON HORIUCHI placed the kill shot on Vicki Weaver with a baby in her arms THROUGH a curtain. He could have killed them both.

Either way, the Weavers with the help ofa  GREAT lawyer made the Feds pay, NOT near enough, but they were found innocent.

The 650,000 emails likely go back to when Abedin first went to work for HRC. Outlook will snyc email accounts in the background and store them in a .PST file on the local machine. Abedin likely lacked the tech sophistication to be aware of this fact.

In that trove of 650,000 there are likely emails which show that Obama lied when he claimed not to know HRC was in violation of US National security policy with respect to the handling of classified info.

POP3 access saves America. Wouldn't save out going messages, but EVERY incoming to all accounts Outlook has access to would be saved and their is NOTHING that could be done on the server end to remove them.

90's email tech FTW :-D

IndyPat's picture

Outlook saves the sent items.

OverTheHedge's picture

Is it just me, or is it surreal that the fact that emails.are safely backed up and available is a BAD thing, and everyone is wailing and wringing hands because they haven't lost data?

How many people do you know who have lost all their email history at some point? Was that a good day?

It shows that the elite are just not like other people. They live in some other world, where black is positive discrimination and white is holding the bag. Again.

jeff montanye's picture

yeah, it is.

but still, like with jews, we play a fool's game when we exclude possible allies because of race or religious or sex prejudice.  or class (ivy leaguers and near illiterates can be allies as well) (illiterates too, just not here).

the important things imo are elect trump (or impeach clinton), stop the zionist wars, jail the banksters, bust 9-11, rule of law, truth commissions and go from there.

NihilistZerO___'s picture

Outlook POP3 access does not save sent emails if they aren't sent from that Outlook install. IMAP and Exchange accounts sync sent no matter where the message was sent. I merely guessed POP access as that configuration keeps the remote server from sending delete commands to the local Outlook installation.

The FBI doesn't convene Federal Grand Juries, the DOJ does, and that's why they didn't convene one.  Getting a true bill from a Grand Jury is easy since only the prosecutor is heard.

get it thru your head - Comey had NO conrol of tconveing a Grand Jury - Lynch did !!!

she is obstructing justice the first time by demanding Comey come to HER conclusion and NOT taking responsibilityfor her decision - she USED the FBI Chief

Comey July "explaination" was his - The Conclusion was Lynch - she reversed and told him NOT to send the letter last week when it was NOT her conclusion - she is the one who should be scrutinized and put in jail for Fraud !

The FBI rank and file are being abused by Obama / Lynch / Clintons

" get it thru your head - Comey had NO conrol of conveing a Grand Jury - Lynch did !!!

Spot on.

The Attorney General's office would convene a Grand Jury, NOT the FBI director. Having Comey try to do that would be like the Chief of Police trying to convene a Grand Jury, instead of the DA whose job it is in city, state, etc. government.

Everyone, most of all Lynch, used Comey as cover, and he gladly did it, thinking his "reputation" and "integrity" that was pimped so hard by 60 Minutes among others would cover him. And the rest of the Weasly Exec Branch thought the same.

EPIC FAIL(URE).

CheapBastard's picture

Can Comey arrest Crooked Lynch for obstructing justice, etc?

handing it over to a grand jury would have led to an indictment... They guessed that it was better for Comey to play the role of Keystone Cops and wear the congressional dunce hat for 2 weeks rather than give up control of the pre-planned outcome.

drunkenlout's picture

The other "permissable action" would be to choose Arkancide.  But then, no one has ever chosen that voluntarily.

Twaddlefree's picture

Grand juries are not impartial. They are average citizens who are unlikely to understand a single thing presented to them in complex, detailed cases like this. As such, with ONLY a government prosecuting attorney presenting the evidence, and given what we have seen, there would have been no indictment handed down. Just as grand juries can be manipulated to indict when there is no evidence, they can be manipulated not to indict when there is evidence that is simply not presented. Comey actually did us a favor, though probably not intentionally, by not sending this to the grand jury. With the so-called "new" emails (I don't believe for one moment that these emails have not been seen, just ignored) added to the body of evidence already compiled, and the publicity received, it might be just a tad difficult for for a grand jury NOT to indict.

Of course, nothing will happen. The Clintons are untouchable. Nothing matters.
