Wikileaks Warns It Is Launching "Phase Three" Of Its Election Coverage

Tyler Durden's picture

On Sunday night, Wikileaks enigmatically tweeted that it would launch “phase 3 of [its] US election coverage" in the coming week. The site put politicians on notice Sunday evening in a tweet that also included a plea for donations.

“We commence phase 3 of our US election coverage next week. You can contribute:  @WLTaskForce" the whistleblower website announced moments ago.

As the Hill noted, Wiki did not provide information about what the third phase entails or if there are still more revelations to come. As a reminder, Wikileaks' founder Julian Assange currently finds himself in the Ecuador embassy where his internet access has been revoked for the duration of the presidential campaign to avoid the appearance of intervention.

Wikileaks supporters, now including a number of disgruntled GOP nominee Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders supporters, promptly replied with tweets expressing hope that phase three would ultimately damage Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign. User “CorruptMedia” responded with a Photoshopped estimating what CNN coverage of Clinton being escorted to jail would look like.

A new archive of Clinton-related documents would further irk a campaign still reeling from FBI director James Comey's announcement on Friday that new emails related to the Clinton server probe had been discovered.

But there is at least some reason to believe Wikileaks could release material that is not solely Clinton related. Julian Assange, the head of Wikileaks, has stated that he would publish information from Trump if the site were sent any.

Wikileaks has already posted hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign chief John Podesta: the former led to the resignation of former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz after it was revealed that the DNC was actively scheming to prevent Bernie Sanders' nomination;  the former has led to a series of dramatic revelations into the strategic operations of the Clinton campaign, with the most damaging emails exposing the Clinton Foundation and WJC's consulting outfit Teneo as an "influence-peddling" pay-to-play organization as noted most recently in "Doug Band To John Podesta: "If This Story Gets Out, We Are Screwed""

Thanks with your help Julian. We might have a chance now.

And the link to donate to Wikileaks is

I hope Trump reciprocates and arranges your safe passage to your next stop.

XWeatherman's picture

Donated small amount ($25) any matchers?

Carpe Tutti Bastardi's picture

I was considering a small contribution as well until I read that Assange would

willingly release 'any' wrongdoings (i.e. "dirt") on Trump were it submitted to him.

That wiped any thought of a contribution to Assange right out of my mind.

And NOT with a cloth!

eatthebanksters's picture

H ewould have released them by now...he doesn't have anything on Trump.

sleigher's picture

Assange stated that there is nothing they could release that would be worse than what comes out of Trumps mouth.  Assange is a liberal and people shouldn't take what Wikileaks is doing to be pro Trump.  They are anti corruption and anti NWO.  Not pro any 1 cadidate.

If you want an honest .gov you have to get it all out.

The DNC, MSM, et al have been working overtime to dig up dirt on Trump. Nothing significant so far.

But what is alarming is it has tak'n Wikileaks to push Trump into a "Lead".   So, using logic, this prooooooves that the majority of the people who live in American are F O K N  moron's who want to lick the boots of their "Masters" in return for Free Shite.  Erik Fromm couldn't have written it better in his book titled.  ESCAPE FROM FREEDOM.  So, to the majority of my Fellow MERICANS.....F U  you pieces of Shite.  Lets see how this Election Play's out.  If it's not a Landslide via popual'r vote...  MERICANS get what they deserve.

$Hillary'ous is done. Bravo Wikileaks, you are the true journalist herroes of the 21st century! "An ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll released Sunday showed Clinton ahead 46% to 45% -- narrower than Saturday's 2-point Clinton edge." And this is the skewed version, I'm sure the real, internal pools have HRC far behind Trump and that is what scared the shit out of Comey, that Trump will come after him.

Gold 3.0!

3 - 2 - 1...

If Trump, with everything that’s happening, still can’t win next week, he only has himself to blame.

Now on gold, if it goes to $3 thousand, how long will it stay there?

I say five hours, because there won’t be no nation, beside Australia and Russia, maybe, that would let their economies at the mercy of gold. Also, 99% of the population couldn’t afford it.

We will be at private and public deficit spending till WW, because  there’s no other way to keep this party going, period.

Bay of Pigs's picture

You obviously have no idea about the gold market.

Color me surprised.

Escrava Isaura's picture

So, please, enlighten us.

Did you check Brazil interest rates?

You would have done better.

And thanks for the link.

Yeah, that's a really smart place to keep your money in, a Brazilian Bank.

If you're seeking high rates of return, Zimbabwe bonds are paying real good.

I would agree with FOFOA on gold pricing.  It does not really matter much at all!

Because there are so few industrial uses for gold, and there are so few in the USA who own any (beyond a little jewelry), who (in the Deep State) really cares what the price of gold is?

A very high price of gold changes next to nothing in an economy.  And very few economies are at "the mercy of gold".  Name one, other than, perhaps, South Africa (still hanging on at No. 5 producer of gold).

You may be right about $3000 only for an instant, but my opinion is different.

The price of gold only really matters to those of us who own it...!    :)

Maybe they'll show Hillary's links to isis.

NihilistZerO___'s picture

Has no one noticed that NONE of the released Podesta emails are to/from Hillary?  The incoming emails for this final week are undoubtedly linked to the engineered Syrian "Civil War" whose sole purpose is to give the Saudis and Qatar an Oil pipeline to Europe.  We at ZH have known this forever.  Now it's going to be proven to the world.

See this Twitter feed for a clear summary of what's coming

How long has it been since anyone has had proof that Julian isn't hanging out with Jimmy Hoffa at the bottom of some lake? Two weeks? I know John Kerry went dark for longer and finally came back to afflict us again but it would be soooo easy to put the rumors of Julian's demise to rest and yet it doesn't happen.

Crash Overide's picture

Are they blaming Russia for the Weiner leak yet?

Escrava Isaura's picture

The price of gold is a matter of manipulation, because, as you said, there’s very little need for gold. Also, every nation is running deficits, I can’t see any of these nations allow a run from paper to gold, or even worse, try to bring down its government.

Bill of Rights's picture

Key phrase " I cant see " the hilarity..

Escrava Isaura's picture

Obviously that you don’t have much to add.

So let’s move on.

ZH lesson #1...You can't debate a liar and/or a coward.

38BWD22's picture

Escravita 9:42 PM (when I see mutiple posts of yours, I will ID them by time)

It's too late, nations have allowed people to run to physical gold!  But, many investors buy the GLD (paper gold) instead of the real thing.  I would never own paper gold unless it's for quick trading, which I do not do.

IMO manipulation is indeed a factor in gold pricing, but just a factor.

When the party's over, it will be those who do not offer to sell ANY gold who will REALLY affect the price.

I agree with you on various of your non-gold points above.  Deficit spending is about to get cranked up big time no matter who wins.

The party IS almost over.

Gold is practically a gift at $1277.  If you don't own any, get you some!

Goldbugger's picture

FOFOA , i haven't heard that name for some time. He nailed it at $300 gold, i made a fortune and the next leg up will also make another fortune to the wise.

38BWD22's picture

Yep, don't sell your gold now.  The best is yet to come.

FOFOA is still around, but laying low -- sort of!

CNONC's picture

I only care about the price of gold as it relates to my ability buy it today.  I don't speculate on gold, I only hold it as a bridge between the dollar and whatever comes after the dollar.

Escrava Isaura's picture

Thanks. Also, most gold products are tacky, in my opinion. But I do love gold leaves gilding, especially the way it ages, because its patina looks better, less goldish with age.

The Navigator's picture

You don't know anyone who has had to run from their home country under some extreme circumstance? Not one Vietnamese? Not one Jew?

14k, 18k, or 24k, I could care less if it's tacky. I care about insurance - insurance against Currency Failure, which you OBVIOUSLY are ignoring, especially in Brazil.

In 1989 I went to Brazil on business when you had the Cruzado - I kept a couple hundred (in USD) worth because I knew I was coming back the next year.

But in 1990, the Cruzado was history, of no use, Brazil had moved on to the 'Cruzedo' (or whatever) - repeat, kept some 'new' currency as I was coming back in 1991.

Came back in 1991 and ANOTHER NEW currency replaced the 1990 currency.

For 3 years, you had 2,000% inflation and 3 different paper fiat.

I don't give a shit about you - go ahead and ignore MODERN history and keep going broke by ignoring the FUCKING OBVIOUS.

I find it extremely difficult to believe you're Brazilian - if you had been there in the 1989-1991 period you would know something.

Escrava Isaura's picture

When I was in Brazil in the 70’s I used buy dollars with my savings. The problem with gold is that I couldn’t tell the grade or if it was solid. By the way, same with dollar, there were a lot fake dollars in circulation in Brazil.

Second, when you go sell the gold, you could never sell it for the price that was listed, meaning always less.

So you know, I believe gold will be the last bubble during our financial collapse, but it won’t last long because a) most people won’t have money to buy it from you, and b) the next financial collapse will lead humanity into a dark road, gold will be useless because we talking survival.

Jeremy Grantham: We’re Headed For A Disaster Of Biblical Proportions. Most of Us Are Going To Starve To Death.

Despite a massive increase in fertilizer use, the growth in crop yields per acre has declined from 3.5% in the 1960s to 1.2% today. There is little productive new land to bring on and, as people get richer, they eat more grain-intensive meat. Because the population continues to grow at over 1%, there is little safety margin.

poeg's picture

Yields per acre in Saskatchewan during the 60's were 60-70 bushels per acre for oats and barley, now those same numbers would be considered crop failure. We're not anywhere near going hungry in Canada. Cartels and government inflicted quotas screw with the market badly but you're still buying a dozen XL eggs, loaf of brown honey bread, 500g of smoked bacon, bag of spuds and a pound (says it on the bag) of coffee for a twenty at the farmer's market.

CNONC's picture

The world is a lot bigger than you think.  Even in the US, the middle of the country is best described as "the big empty"  The most productive land is, of course, in use, but vast amounts of land remain available, and can be brought on line.  It actually is happening right now.  A minor part of my business is expanding pivot irrigation rigs to newly developed farm land.  Most of the land available, though is "dry," meaning it is not enrolled in irrigation programs.  This lowers productivity, but does not make it useless.  I expect this expansion to dry up, as commodity prices are down.  The decline in productivity increases is an artifact of the decline in prices.  Productivity increases require capital, which must produce income.  If commodity prices are seen to be stable or declining, no capital expenditure takes place.  Population growth is slowing.  Farming is a capital intensive in the US.  I would expect productivity increases to slow under these circumstances.

I am always skepitcal of Malthusian thought.  It relies on a belief in a finite planet.  The planet is not finite.  As I have said before, life and economics are essentially energy conversion processes.  A vast amount of exogenous energy enters the system every day.  By definition, the planet is not finite.  I am not saying that limits don't exist, but I suspect they are farther away than we think.  In fact, I suspect the real problem the world faces is that the current financial system cannot tolerate a slowdown in population growth.  If starvation occurs, it will not be because of lack of physical resources, it will be because the financial system fails.

Then proceed to break the media giants up.
