People Not In Labor Force Surge By 425,000 To 94,609,000

Tyler Durden's picture

On the surface, the establishment survey print of 161K jobs was just good enough when taking into account the 44,000 in upward revisions to August and September jobs. However, the household survey was less impressive, with the number of workers employed declining by 43,000 to 151,925 even as the number of persons unemployed declined from 7,939K to 7,787K.

So how did the unemployment rate drop? Because contrary to expectations that people are rushing back into the labor force, in October the number of Americans who were not in the labor force rose by a substantial 425,000 to 94,609, the highest print in the series since May, and suggests that the exodus of Americans out of the labor force has resumed.

What bullshit statistics.

What a narcissistic, bullshitter would be proud to report!

In theory, all 425,000 should be voting for Trump, but… almost half of them are still “with her”. Amazing, ain’t it?   ;-)

So of the US working age, what % is the 94.6 million is out of work?

Mentaliusanything's picture

Of the 325 million men woman and children. Remove the not in work leaves 230 million including children. take them out 23.1% of population (as at 2014) or 81 million leaves 149 million working age Men and woman.

Take out the public servants, military, police and all that eat from the tax take and your left with 71.5 million working men and woman.

Remove the prison population who labour as slaves and the pay no tax along with the Unemployed and your left with 42.4 million.

Take out those who live on trust funds and pick their noses and those overseas either working for another country or just Goldbricking leaves 31.2 million working men and woman.

Take out the retired, elderly, drug crazed, mentally retarded and infirm and your left with =

2 people...... You and me and quite frankly I'm getting sick of covering for your lazy ass

The real apocalypse..

NoWayJose's picture

The real apocalypse will happen when the US can no longer 'print money' to pay people to do nothing.

Bernardo Gui's picture

Exactly.  Nothing will change until the money runs out.

An Army division is comprised of up to 18,000 soldiers. That means USSA has added about 23 divisions of newly minted FSA recruits. Awesome !

bigfire's picture

Soon enough we'll reach that statistic nirvana of 0% unemployment because 100% of the subjects will not be in work force.

Bernardo Gui's picture

This is part and parcel of the fundamental transformation Obama promised us.  The more people drop out of the labor force, the more illegals surge across the border, the more welfare dependency, the better electoral prospects for Democrats.  The rest of us get the bill for it all.

I'm 60 and will trudge a short trip through this shit till my grave.  I feel sorry for my kids though, who have jobs and have been taught to be responsible for their debts and their independence, as probably most here at ZH have taught their kids.  Unfortunately, The Free Cheese Nation continues to grow.

95mill man thats a lot of people, like maybe enough for 4-5 million drone runs. one day they might just get mad or something. I wonder what would make them mad and who they would not like?

VW Nerd's picture

My math tells me that 94 million equals approximately 30% of the US population.  I'm being instructed by Obama propaganda reporters, with a straight face, that US unemployment is around 5%.  Are all 94 million non working age citizens??  Is 5% the reslut of some very tortured data??  Confused....

You spelled maff wrong. Back to the camps for your sorry azz.

Ya'll know that a limited Global Thermonuclear War would fix all of these jobless issues!

Mentaliusanything's picture

Limited??? Isn't that like saying Hillary might have mis- spoken a limited number of times.

Just asking.

ejsmithii's picture

I'd like to see another line in the chart for the expected reduction of the labor force due to Baby Boomer's retiring. Surely, that is a contributing factor.

Darktarra's picture

I think they are only counting working aged adults; 18 - 65... maybe, its over anyhow.

coast's picture

ven if this includes elders collecting social security, since social security is broke, they have to print to pay social security recipients...this includes people going to skool also, who are taking out loans they cannot repy, more money printing, 50 million on some type of welfare, more money printing...then we have the military, more money printing...bsically, the country is filled with people getting government money, or people who service the government workers, ie: restaurants, tattoo parlors, beauty salons etc.

Don't sweat it, Sheeple.  The Participation Rate will hit 90% when the NWO and its Global Neo-Feudal regimes are officially installed. One ex-sovereign country at a time.

You'll get to build modern pyramids and work the factories and fields.  You'll have Full-time employment for life.  They'll even provide food and health care for you.

Let's see.  We have about 100M working, supporting the 200M who aren't.  The liberals think they have almost achieved their utopia.
