Trump Vs. Clinton: A Review Of The Latest Polls Heading Into Election Day

Tyler Durden's picture

With voting set to get underway in less than 24 hours, we thought it appropriate to provide a recap of where the final polls stand nationally and in the key swing states across the country.  While it's unclear what impact Comey's latest announcement to clear Hillary, yet again, will have on the election results, here's what the latest polls predict prior to factoring in the latest FBI news which, if anything, would provide a positive impact for Hillary.

The latest national polls are mixed with the ABC / Washington Post poll showing a 4-point lead for Hillary.

Bloomberg also shows a small 3-point edge for Hillary in a national contest.

Bloomber

That said, the Investor's Business Daily / TIPP poll, which has been the most accurate over the past several election cycles, shows a 2-point national edge for Trump.

IBD / TIPP

While the LA Times daily tracking poll shows a 5-point lead for Trump.

LA Times

But, as we all know, while the national polls provide insight on general trends within the electorate, the 2016 presidential race will ultimately be determined by a couple of key swing states.  Here's where they stand according to the Real Clear Politics averages:

Florida is effectively a dead heat with RCP showing a slight 1-point advantage for Clinton.

Florida

Trump has maintained a fairly consistent lead in Ohio in recent weeks with the last RCP average giving him a 3-point edge.

Ohio

Meanwhile, Trump has experienced a surge in Nevada in recent weeks...

Nevada

...and in North Carolina as well where he has just recently reclaimed a small lead over Hillary.

NC

While many Republicans in recent elections have sought last-minute wins in Pennsylvania, Hillary looks to be maintaining a 2.5-point lead there.

PA

Hillary is also holding on to a 3-point advantage in Colorado.

Colorado

While interesting, given the many bizarre twists in this election cycle, we would not be at all surprised to see actual election results vary wildly from the polling data.  So stock up on your popcorn, tomorrow should be fun.

Blacks staying home, voting third party, or voting Trump. Chappelle, Farrikhan, and Spirit cooking have totally demoralized them, or caused them to switch sides.

Hispanics as a whole are breaking fro Trump, especially Cubans, who were selected for capitalist traits, as most of those here are the ones fleeing Castro.

Rasmussen still has Trump up 53-42 amongst the 88% of voters who have made up their minds.  Been that way all week.

I can't think of why Rasmussen would be rigging its poll for Trump.  Trump by 10 points.  Book it.

So who has Trump named to watch the Nation's money?

Lew Eisenberg for Secretary of Commerce and Steven Mnuchin for Secretary of the Treasury.

What do these two financial engineering wealth extractors have in common? Well, for starters, they are both Goldman Sachs partners.

How does appointing these foxes to guard the hen house "Make America Great Again"?

Clinton's campaign finance chairman is Goldman Sachs partner Garry Gensler.

Is there a common theme running through both campaigns?

Hint, think Deep State:

"A corporatized, militarized, entrenched bureaucracy that is fully operational and staffed by unelected officials who are, in essence, running the country, this shadow government represents the hidden face of a government that has no respect for the freedom of its citizenry."

LOLOLOL

People think this is an election when actually it is a coup d'etat

In Coups 101 on the first day of class they teach that the very first thing you do is seize the TV and radio stations and start blaring out your message 24/7. Check.

But not many coups come with a smooth-talking brother or a kindly grandmother at the top so people can't see it for what it is.

Everyone know's they've rigged these in Hillary favors, and she's still just barely winning. Over sampling Dems by nearly 5-1 and she only has a 3 point lead, which is within the error for margin on heavily wieghted polls LMAO! What a farce.

Vote Trump, and just fix the problem with their fake polls that way.

Hard-line Muslim Protest Against Christian Jakarta Governor Ends in Violence

Police in Jakarta, Indonesia fired tear gas and water cannon to disperse hardline Muslims protesters on Friday. Tens of thousands had rallied to demand the resignation of Jakarta's Christian governor who, they said had insulted the Koran. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).

The polls are rigged to reflect the rigging of ballots.........Trump never had a chance.......

When he loses, go the the bank on the November 9th and pull your money out.  If only a couple of million people did that it would bring down this whole corrupt system.

Can someone answer me why there is NOT ONE Hillary sign in all of Salem Missouri?

glenlloyd's picture

I haven't seen many here in metro Des Moines either, a few crazies with a bunch in their yard but otherwise no. Out in the rural periphery while cycling I'm seeing lots of big Trump yard signs, not the little ones, the big ones, like 4'x5'.

crossroaddemon's picture

I'll tell you exactly why, and you're not going to like it. Because even Clinton's supporters don't really like her. That's not what you won't like. What you won't like is that they are far more realistic than you. They are holding their nose and voting for the one they feel best represents their interests. Because I don't live in a bubble where I only talk to people I agree with, I talk to people who are going to vote for Clinton all the time and unlike the Trumptards they are not dumb enough to think they are voting for the goddamn messsiah. They don't put up lawn signs or go to rallies because it's just not that important to them. Most of them feel that they're fucked either way just this might make them LESS fucked. Which is a much more realistic attitude to take.

I haven't seen a single Hillary sign in rural Johnson County,  Missouri.

Someone keeps stealing the big trump sign,  though.   So there is at least one Hillary lover..

Yes We Can. But Lets Not.'s picture

I have never seen a Hillary sign here in rural MN.  Some Trump signs popping up here and there.  In small towns, everyone knows your biz, so folks tend to try to lay low.

One guy, though, put up a huge homemade anti-Trump sign, declaring Trump supporters as hateful - how's that for hatred!  His sign says 'Defeat Trumpism - Hate will not Make America Great Again.'

canisdirus's picture

What I can't figure out is why the entire east side of Lake Washinton near Seattle is awash in Trump/Pence signs even though this region always goes to a Democrat. I have seen two Hillary signs in the area. More in the communist city of Seattle proper, but still a lot of Trump signs. Even in radically-left-wing Bainbridge Island, I see a lot of Trump signs. What in the hell is going on here?!

mrvco's picture

I work just outside of Boulder, CO and I've only seen ONE Hillary-Kaine bumper sticker.  I've seen more GIANT METEOR 2016 bumper stickers.  But these are the "I've got mine, moral self-licensing" type burb-dwelling libs and I expect that they are solidly in the "Hold your nose and vote for Hillary" camp.

What's going on is that support for Trump is about 3 or 4 to 1 against Hitlery.

Matters not. I am chuckling at several of the posts up thread.

Funny stuff.

I am rooting for him and do hope I'm wrong.

Comey helped us, and here's why.

If she wins there will be no prosecution because she will control the DOJ. FBI can't bring charges on their own.

He made it clear, the ONLY way to prosecute her is with YOUR VOTE!

TRUMP WINS!!

All the polls are wrong. Remember this time last year when Obama and Romney were in a statistical tie?

Paul Kersey's picture

As I remember, Joe, and it's been a long while since I read the book, the Lafe Smith character was based loosely on Senator John Kennedy. A year after the book was published, Kennedy was the President of the United States.

Yes, but they can be (ahem) removed later and replaced by non-GS patriots.

Paul Kersey's picture

Then why put these financial parasites in power positions in the first place?  It's because Goldman Sachs controls both parties.  These blood sucking leeches will only be replaced by other leeches, if they are replaced at all.

Trump, to get elected, has had to surround himself with "experts", as we'd expect.  Yes, those experts for finance are the leaches, however Trump alone among all candidates has talked straight about the politization of the FED, and bubble economics.  We can hope and pray he leans more toward Austrian economy school, and less toward the morally corrupt Keynesian school.  Yes, this point could be distressing, but it's what we have.  We unfortunately don't have Ron Paul on the verge of being elected POTUS.

Paul Kersey's picture

"We can hope and pray he leans more toward Austrian economy school, and less toward the morally corrupt Keynesian school."

When the wealthiest 20 Americans have more wealth than over 160 million of their countrymen (Forbes Magazine), then it's no longer about economic theories, it's about neofeudalism.

"We unfortunately don't have Ron Paul on the verge of being elected POTUS."

Agree with you 100%.  If Ron had been as wealthy and charismatic as Trump, the press and the Republican Party  wouldn't have been able to marginalize him.  The Press and the Democrat Party did the same thing to Bernie.

The level of undecided voters, and the lack of similarity to voting patterns of 2008 and 2012 (the basis for 'likely voter' projections), will be these polls' undoing.

Yes We Can. But Lets Not.'s picture

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/electi...

Read down a ways.  They hide the key nugget, the only thing that matters, which is that among the 88% of likely voters who have made up their minds, it is 52-43 Trump (had my last digits transposed).  Even if the remaining 12% lean Clinton (unlikely, as she is viewed as unlikeable and dishonest), Trump still wins by plenty.  Trump by 10.  Book it.

Global Hunter's picture

thank you for clarification, I had a feeling i was missing something.

Yes We Can. But Lets Not.'s picture

Sure.  At 2am Weds, I expect to see Trump with approx. 53% of pop vote.

If so, Rasmussen will be revealed as one of few credible pollsters out there.

Which I think they are.  All that other shit is cheerleading.

And at say 53-43, pretty tough to screw Trump and his stable of lawyers out of the WH.

crossroaddemon's picture

Only if you think the real numbers will be released. My guess is the machines aren't even actually counting them.

Bush Baby's picture

Your Rasmussen link is good - their data is a little schizo.

If the following segment is true, it should be a win for Trump.

"Just 88% of all likely voters say they have made up their minds how they will vote. Among these voters, Trump leads 52% to 43%; Johnson has four percent (4%), Stein one percent (1%). Among those who still could change their minds, it’s Clinton 40%, Trump 36%, Johnson 17% and Stein seven percent (7%)."
